Since I am not getting anywhere over the phone or with your chat here it is. To management: I used to rent from your location on Pacific Highway. I am not the person who likes to stir things up, yet the issue I am about to bring to your attention has had me lose sleep over it. For a while I was not able to pay on time and in full for my storages, but always attempted to put something down with the hope that my belongings would be safe, AKA not be sold. I was never told a sale started while I made partial payments. When my locks were removed/cut out I was surprised by the methods as my previous experiences with almost losing my storage units were different. I didn't question the issue too much then as my storages were never officially sold. However, I would now like to know if some of my belongings were in fact sold while I did not have access to the units. ??? The reason I want answers after a whole month of terminating my business with Public Storage, is because I have finally gone through all my boxes that were stored and I am missing several items. When I regained possession of my storages, the manager accompanied me to the units. Unlocked them and swung open the door to look inside. I was appalled by this action to the point that when I was leaving the facility, I stopped by the office and inquired about her behavior. She replied "it is standard procedure to look inside the units and make sure that everything is in order". Everything? What exactly? The inside of the unit should not be of her concerns. And if there was a problem, leak, or else, shouldn't it be my responsibility to report it? When I walked in one of the units I felt something was not right. Initially, I did not realize items were missing as I would come and go from storage with things while I still had access, yet I know I stored specific things after my last trip before losing access. Furthermore, these units are the only ones I was using while homeless and some of those items had sentimental value to me. Of course I have no proof that my belongings were taken by the property people and I am not expecting my belongings back. However, I do want to bring this up because of how disappointed I am with the unprofessionalism and lack of tact of the property manager (on several occasions) as well as the attack on my sense of safety and emotional health on the part of said person. Person who should take part in protecting my property while I already have no roof over my head, and who broke that trust by taking my items with the assumption I would not regain possession of the units prior to them going up for sale. I came here today for a storage unit. 1/10/2022 at 11:20am shella or whoever it was working treated me so poorly. I showed up and she ignored me from the gate and then I finally managed to get inside , may I remind you I already paid online for my unit I just needed her to verify my ID and grant me my access code like it says online to. She didn't want to do her job . I'm 38 weeks pregnant and from woman to woman she didn't care, she was extremely mean to me and made fun of me for being pregnant and needing a storage space. She then told me I needed to have their specific lock yet online it says "don't need our lock? Don't worry we will cheerfully refund you for the lock upon arrival" so idk what that was about. She then covered her name tag and told me she owned public storage and was refusing to rent to me. I'm not kidding when I say from the moment I walked up she was angry and mean because she had to actually help someone. I NEVER complain or do this but she made me cry and made me very upset. I have now already paid and had my move in date set for today janurary 10th 2020 and now I'm unable to move into the storage unit and she wouldn't let me. This customer service has to be THE WORST IVE EVER EVER EVER HAD anywhere in my entire life. I mean anywhere. Even random places with no obligation to help me have given me better service. I am extremely upset and will be contacting my lawyer for harassment and discrimination. She did not want to help me and made it very clear my pregnancy and age had to do with it. I am very disappointed in this location and the service I received. She also gave me a number to call someone named DAVID. Well David if you exist and really are a district manager then this lady needs to be removed from your work team. Very very mean lady.

I recently had the pleasure of renting a storage facility from PUBLIC STORAGE located at 5175 Pacific Highway. In my opinion, they are a top notch company. I use two main criteria to rate a service – PROFESSIONALISM and FRIENDLINESS. They were superior in both areas. When I walked into their office, it was clean, air conditioned, neat, and organized. The person I spoke to clearly explained the sizes, costs, and operational hours for the office and customer gate access. They also gave me information about their web site which provides information about services, availability of storage units, and the option to set up an online account to simplify account business. Very PROFESSIONAL operation – I was impressed. In addition to being professional, they were refreshingly FRIENDLY! Even if a company is professional, if they are unfriendly, it will ruin your experience. The staff readily answered my questions and explained the options available to me. Once I chose a unit, I was shown to the unit and given a demonstration of how the locks on my unit and the entrance gate operated – they even had me try it out myself. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I would gladly recommend PUBLIC STORAGE to my friends, family, or anyone else who asked. If I ever need a storage unit again, PUBLIC STORAGE will definitely get my business. Debra Treat 3-3-18

Wow the experience was great the lady shiela was riding round on a golf cart greeting customers with it's my lunch do you have an appointment. She was extremely pleasent about the appointment we had been texted she was waiting for our arrival . Sheila said she had so much authority over this facility that she chooses who can rent here or not ... She also pointed to my wife that it' she's 38 weeks pregnant she shouldn't need a storage and have it figured out claiming she was an expert on financial stability and pregnancy and defacing pregnant women was in the public storage agenda and intentions. She deserves multiple paid lunches as we noticed she must not have breaks cause the point of her being hungry was very alerting and abruptly brought up as she denied service and access to our paid unit because we didn't buy a lock from public storage yet . Sheila said that we have to have a special lock from the location she's at cause the other public storage locations locks are not approved shiela deserve to have a raise and be pardoned for all her offenses to paying customers

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: We were so pleasantly surprised to receive such EXCEPTIONAL service at this Public Storage site from KAYLA. She is a superb employee of Public Storage. Prior to arriving at this Public Storage site, we had visited many other self-storage places in San Diego and received mediocre service, at best. So, when we arrived at this Public Storage site, we felt that we were dealing with true professionalism from KAYLA. She treated us with respect as she truly listened to our moving and storage issues. KAYLA is an absolute gem and an outstanding representative for Public Storage. She made our total experience so much easier and she put our minds at ease. Please forward this on to KAYLA, as we are so relieved that we met her and were able to have her help us through all of our storage issues. Very easy access from the highway. You will need to enter your code to open the gate to get in and out. The best part of all is, all units are street level, so if you have a lot of heavy items, you don't have to worry about carrying them up stairs or using a elevator. Have not interacted with the staff other than sending them an email to which they responded to quickly. The whole setup process, I was able to do online with was great. The only things that "bothered" me first, was the issue of you having to buy their lock for your unit. It is a weird cylinder lock, so unless you have rented from them before, you will have to buy it from them. Okay, I get that, but to charge $20 is a complete rip off. Second, the insurance, which again unless you can show proof of your own policy that will cover off site storage you also have to buy. $11 for $3000 of coverage, again a rip off.

Warning - DO NOT RENT HERE The entire staff is miserable and awful. They are rude, condescending and unprofessional. The woman who lives on sight must hate her life in order to be that nasty. The younger girl who answers the phone has literally hung up on me rather than help me. How they’re still employed is beyond me. They also had no forgiveness or understanding throughout the pandemic and the unemployment crisis. During my time with them they raised my rent countless times and I finally left after they raised it to nearly $300 for a unit I initially paid $140 for. Even after I had moved out, the rudeness continued when Melanie left me a scathing voicemail stating my lock was still on my unit when in fact, I had moved out and removed my lock the day before. The incompetence runs deep.

There are tons of spiders in my unit that have migrated into all my stuff. Also, they’ll evict you with no warning. They have electrical outlets in the units, but if you use them, you’ll get evicted, yet there is no sign or sticker saying you can’t use them. If you leave 1 minute after 9pm you’ll get evicted. They jack the price up 2 or 3 months after you move in. The lady thought I was loitering when I was organizing my stuff to make more room. And they’ll evict you if they think you’re loitering. Let this be your warning. Other than that it’s a decent storage facility. The app where you can simply open the gate from your phone without leaving your car is the best part that stands out about this facility.

Great location really nice people in the office. Both Xavier and Sheila acknowledged me when I walked into the office for an appointment and both were busy writing another persons contract. They showed me the facility and the unit I was scheduled to see with friendly enthusiasm. Once back to the office Xavier then efficiently and effectively communicated every item they could should and could have been communicated and answered questions I had about various things. When contracts are communicated in this manner the contract/application process is seamless and that is exactly my experience at this location. Oh yeh, they even up-sold me to a larger unit. Can't get better then that right???!!! HAPPY MIKE

Sheila, Heather and Stephanie are awesome!! I made a reservation on line at this Public Storage facility. Literally, within 3 minutes I received a call from them to confirm and discuss my reservation. I got a reminder call the day before, plus an email giving me the option to do an "Express" check-in, which saved me time the next day when I went to do the paperwork. And, an email the day of my reservation! When I got there, Heather showed me the unit and did all of the paperwork very quickly. The other two women, Shelia and Stephanie, were very helpful and cheerful - it was an incredibly pleasant experience! They are all pros, and I have absolutely no reservations in highly recommending this facility!

I will never store my things or recommend this place to anyone as long as Sheila is in charge. She is the most disrespectful and rudest person I have ever encountered. She lies and makes up things as she goes. She is one miserable and nasty person. She acted like it was a huge inconvenience for her to accept my storage payment in person. She even asked a new customer in front of me to give her a 5 star rating on the web, which I thought was pretty desperate. If you want to be spied on and harassed all the time, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!

My unit got broken into and they were no help at all. Charged me for the month even though I had to get everything out….SDPD wouldn’t show up to take report…. They wouldn’t help. Terrible area too… UPDATE: The District Manager called and explained their situation and refunded my last month. I know it is not their fault. I think I need to take my complaint over to the SDPD. But, their hands are pretty much tied too. It is frustrating when criminals seem to rule. :(

I reserved online on Friday night, Saturday morning I received a welcoming call to come in, I was helped by Heather, she was professional, knew what she was doing, and made the whole experience pleasant, efficient, and painless. I was in and out after storing a few boxes I brought with me in 20 minutes or so. Nice, well lit and secure for the money. I did my homework and checked a few places very near this one. I saw the $1 promotion on their website and followed the easy prompts to get my quote. A day later I received a call from the public storage location at pacific highway to set up an appointment. I arrived at the public storage location and Shiela was a rock star! She was super kind and informative and walked me through the guidelines, property, and fees very promptly. This is my first time using a storage unit and it was so seamless and easy, 5/5 will recommend!

We find Sheila and Heather very knowledgeable and kind and very easy to get along with. They explained everything from the material, price ,size of the unit that we needed. Also explained about operation hours which were very convenient. They are awesome woman and we highly recommend them for higher responsibilities...They should have Manager in front of their name:) Your only option is 5 stars these ladies deserve a 10 stars :)

I just experienced my second time renting from this location and it was seamless. The online rental, the arrival and load-in were completely without need for any assistance. I popped into the office to say thank you for making it so great and I believe it was Sheila who was so very gracious and kind. I could have chosen a closer location but the people and the process here make it worth a few extra miles. Highly recommend.

Jake provided me with the most outstanding customer service! He was patient, thoughtful and very knowledgeable about what would best suit my storage needs. A place is just a place, it is the people who run the space that make all the difference. Because of Jake I felt very confident about my decision, especially with a the stress of moving. Sheila is great... she has been very helpful and goes over and beyond with her customer service. I have witnessed her several times after office hours assisting customers with gate access issues and also with handling irate customers who have given her a hard time when it has been minutes before gate closure time. And the other staff members have always been helpful and courteous too.

Melanie and Sheila are the best workers! They are great and very polite. Both of them are very helpful when I need to make a payment or get me my login info. Always answer accordingly and the facilities are great. Low prices, clean, and workers provide great service. Been here for over 6 months now and will continue to store my goods here! Most excellent service! The personnel were, as usual, the epitome of top-notch customer service and support that I have come to expect as the norm! I had quite the week moving out of my house and April made that process so much easier by tremendously helping me and my roommates figure out a storage unit situation and guiding us through the whole process of renting a storage unit as well as demonstrating immense patience with my group. This place is very Convenient, clean, priced well and easily accessible. I've used this Pacific Hwy Public Storage location twice over the past few years and have been very pleased. Sheila and Melanie always provide good service, on the phone and in person. The prices are fair for San Diego storage, and great for a centrally located storage facility. Access hours (currently 6am-9pm) are also a plus.

Sheila is soooo wonderful!! Seriously, She is the reason I keep a 10x30 unit here. The whole staff is polite and nice. But Sheila is an Angel, she helped me get into my unit when I was in a crunch. Public Storage might want to give that woman a raise on the basis of her professionalism and he customer service .

The best mini-storage experience I have had yet to date. Jasmin, at the front desk, provided some of the most helpful customer service I have received in any industry! Truly grateful. Would highly recommend to anyone. Smooth and easy move-in and move-out process and they worked with me when I was out of town.

This location is fantastic. It’s a little out of the way but in a good way. The manager Sheila is AMAZING and deserves a raise. She is nice, fair and will work with you, but if you go against the rules, she’s not a push over. I would rent from her and recommend this location because of her to anyone who asks.

I had a wonder person by the name of Jazmin help me open an account at this storage facility. It was quick and she also walked me to the unit first to make sure I was happy. She and her staff there have always been professional, friendly and gone the “extra mile” to accommodate my changing storage needs. I recommend this Public Storage to my friends.

While onsite I received professional service from Anna the facility was clean their service was brief and to the point. Anna was able to answer all my questions and concerns with no hassle. One of the best self storage centers in San Diego and I highly recommend this site.

I have a unit and needed a second one for my mom to use for her things. Great customer service! The manager, Sheila, was kind and gave us the best deal available, same day! These units have high ceilings and concrete floors. Easy to move small furniture into.

I recently signed up and had excellent customer service. I lost my information card at one point and they were very helpful in sorting me out. Overall the location is accessible off the 5 freeway and the hours work well. I would recommend. Price is right too

Raised my unit $450 which I I initially paid $285 for. This place seems cheap but they will raise the price on you shortly after you sign up. It’s a slow scam.
