I reserved the unit over the phone and was told it can be held until 9/9 for no charge. I specifically asked about the lock type and I was misinformed. I was told to expect a call from the actual location which I was fine w as I have used public storage many times. I was called immediately after I made the reservation. I told them the same info I told the man on the phone. I'm moving out of my place on the 11th and at the time was not going to know for at least 3 days if I needed it for sure or not. I was then contacted by Victoria multiple times and I kept telling her the same info. The last time Tara contacted me and confirmed the unit so I would not continue to get called daily in my time of stress. By now I knew I did need the unit so I made arrangements to go and pay. When I got there I had the lock I was told to bring and my money. I was very disappointed by Victoria ' s attitude and lack of customer service. She did not inform me it was a disc lock not the lock type I had. She also failed to inform me of required insurance fee (which I 4got about, last used public storage yrs ago) When I arrived my daughter had just fallen asleep so I pulled up right next to the door. I peaked my head in to find out if I should wake her or if I could view the unit and make sure everything was in order. I then found out I had the wrong lock w me so I would have to come back at another time. She was very rude and said I could view the unit. I explained to her my little one was asleep. I them walked outside got in my car and pulled it up to the gate and waited. She did not open the gate so I got out of my car and asked her to open it. She rudely said it's just right here. I ended up leaving because I was really bothered by her attitude and I was about to lose it. I then called her back and told her I still want the unit and I will be back w the correct lock. She said ok. When I went in I was pleased to be greeted by Tara. Who helped me get in and out. She was very informative and professional! Thank you Tara!

October 15 2023: I went to check on my storage a week ago on a Sunday. It looked fine driving up but when I went to grab the lock, the entire latch and lock came right off the door. The entire latch had been crowbarred off and my things had been gone through and they had plenty of time to do it and probably come back and grab more. A quarter of the things in my 20' unit were missing. I called the customer service number and told them the latch was compromised and my things were not secure. I was told no one was in the office and the manager would call me the following day. I was livid. I started taking my things out of the unit because it wouldn't be secure and someone obviously knew this who had been here stealing them. I made a couple trips home before a lady showed up saying she was the new manager and she took my information down. She gave me a new lock and hardware so I could fix the latch. She said maintenance would come by the following day (Monday) and replace the latch with a four bolt latch instead of the two bolt latch that was on there. I left a few things feeling better that at least it would be secure starting the following day. However I went back a week later (Sunday the 15th) and the old latch was still on my unit. She offered to transfer me to a smaller unit but every unit I looked at that was vacant only had the two bolt latch! Some only had one of the two bolts!!! There are no cameras on most of the back buildings, D, E, F and there is no sense of accountability or responsibility at this facility. I will be taking my things elsewhere. Absolutely disappointed. August 2023: So far everything has been straightforward and pleasant I only had one hiccup and it was my own fault and when I called the manager to resolve it she was very grateful and thank me. I went to my unit tonight and they had towed all of the vehicles nearby that were camping so the street is clear for now.

I've been renting a space from this place for almost a year cause of covid my business was slowly going under and I was struggling to stay afloat I always paid my rent in advance I minded my own business I've been polite I've been understanding and all I've received in return is being harassed I've been stereotyped and I've been disrespected not just by the lot manager but by the district manager this place is got to be the most unprofessional scandalous place I've ever rented from after being 2 minutes late leaving the lot manager pulled me inside the office and said that they were going to put me on restriction cuz i was 2min late leaving one.night and that restriction wood only allow me to access my belongings for 1 hour each day and I could only come in during office hours they blocked my pin code and would only let me threw the gate if there was someone at the front desk and there was never anyone at the front desk I had to wait hey hour or more to be let in they also new I was waiting there but wouldn't let me in I went over the rules that the storage unit gave me when I purchased my unit and there is not one thing that I have done since renting here that would cause a person to be targeted like this or evicted I have tried to contact the main district manager mark and he has never returned one phone call I've tried to go above him and left 10 messages or more and still no response I wouldn't recommend this place for my worst enemy the lot manager has tweakers in and out and give them no problems at all only reason I have been here for so long is because I'm not going to let them bully me out I'm going to ride this eviction and there made-up rules all the way till the end and then I'm going to take further action I didn't even want to give a one-star

Thiefs I storaged belongings here for about a year and a half and moved out mid last year (2018). During this period I cancelled one of my credit cards due to fraud and forgot that's the one I had on file here. I was traveling when they were trying to reach me and wasn't checking messages and when I returned I got their messages and paid up (was about 3 days late). What they did was cut my lock and put their own on so I could not access until paying up which I totally understand. But I'm not a deadbeat. I had a very large unit and was consistently on time except for this time. We didn't really use our items in storage and didn't notice until moving out and unloading that 3 golf club sets (one very high end Ping) and our 2 bicycles were missing. In total about $2,000 worth of items. We believe when they cut our lock one of the workers took stuff. Not sure if there is a maintenance man there or one of the ladies in the office that could have done this. They ladies were always friendly so I wonder if there was someone else there .Or did they cut the lock and leave the unit unattended. Regardless..... My husband mentioned this to one of the ladies in the offices. She seemed non-plussed and said," you can always fill out an insurance claim since you bought the insurance." We didn't bother because we knew it would be our word against theirs and the insurance company wouldn't believe us. Just beware. Don;t ever be a day late on your rent and check your items. as at least one of the people who works there is a thief. Also, storage units dirty and no lighting. Would never recommend after this.

I can not explain how happy I am with this place. Like the girl calls me to remind me when to pay my bill though I know it's due on the 5th , she is so sweet .. Like when I am there .. I don't even feel scared for my staff , one time I left my lock open ,.. She called me right away , which met that they check to make sure your staff is safe. Don't get me started .. On that lol sweet Angel Victoria ... She is so sweet .. Like just makes you feel safe . she is always smiling and just happy to see you . I have had my staff here for like 8 months before ... And I had no worries. Not gona lie ,.m that Victoria girl is amanzing ... And I usually don't do well with people and paper works ... But Victoria made it all simple and easy. I have never written a review ... But this Victoria girl got me ... She makes the place a better place !!! Keep up the great work Victoria. I hope that's her name.... She is the one who is always there ., short ... And just had that calming voice. !!!!

I have had my share of experiences with different storage locations throughout Oregon and I must say that this location is among the best I've seen. The manager, Victoria, is always very professional and polite. She provides excellent customer service in a friendly, efficient manner; thereby assisting individuals through a process that is often stressful & hectic in the best possible manner. The office hours and accessibility to my unit have made going through the process of moving much easier than other locations I have dealt with in the past. They are centrally located to main roads and are not far from the freeway. I hope that others are able to find what they are looking for in a storage facility here. I definitely believe that Victoria is an asset to this facility and I hope that others appreciate her hard work as much as I do.

i love having a storage unit here at this location. Victoria is an amazing person that will work with us and give us advice. she makes my experience amazing every time i'm there. she is so friendly, and so easy to talk to. over the past months of getting to know her, i can honestly call her a friend. but i have complaint and that would be about a woman named Trisha there. she is very rude and condescending, she makes me fell unwelcome all the time. if i ever have to come in, i will actually make sure that she is not working that way. to me she is very rude, and should not work in the public. overall i think that Victoria saves this location, if it wasn't for her i wouldn't even bother keeping this location for my storage needs.

Iam so vexed right now. My husband paid his over do bill. Me needing to access to unit because I'm going on a trip. Was not able to. When I arrived at the facility on Prescott St at 10am NO ONE was on the property even though the sign on the door says we're open two people one a UPS driver inform me this is a location where seldom there is a person here. Called the call center was informed someone where be there with in24 to unlock the lock. Iam not understanding why a business would operate like this. Calling any number they have is a waste of time whom every answer if they answer give you the same excuse " on break on the property at another property. All of which is not true. AND COVID HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING

I used the new e-rental feature due to the co-vid pandemic.. seemed easier and saving, which it was till I arrived at the place and couldn't get in the gate. Fortunately the Manager was in the office and stepped out to help immediately. She was friendly as well as questioning which made me feel that not just more secure knowing that manager makes it a point to be alert in who's coming and going.. anyways she let me after verifying who I am.. She showed me where the bldg was and then excused herself to get to office for appointment.. so thanks Kelly for helping me out with the gate..and your patience with me forgetfulness..

Every time that I call or come by The Storage Facility Trisha has always bean very helpful and friendly and i personally Think and feel that She goes above and beyond the call of duty.I have seen her personally go around and check every padlock to make sure they weren't tampered with and secure.I know She's a great asset to public Storage .my rate just went up 15.00 dollars a month and I was thinking about moving .But , one of the main reasons I decided to stay was because of Trisha.If world had more nice people like Trisha it would be a much better world to live in.Thanks again Trisha your awe some.

My unit was broken into, as were the units of two of my neighbors. Same story -- the intenal walls are thin particle board. You can very easily cut through them, and people seem to do this on a pretty consistent basis here. This is an old facility, in a bad area, with no real security. You get what you pay for. I would recommend finding a more modern facility that has metal internal walls -- there are tons out there, including other Public Storage facilities close to this one. Don't be fooled by costs -- your rent will be raised significantly, probably by 1/3 or so, shortly after you move in.

This is a terrible place! At first the staff are friendly but don't trust them. Kelly, the lady I got, told me I absolutely HAD to rent one of their very expensive locks and that I couldn't use my own. Also her reasoning was because they'd be able to break open our lock easily. She also wouldn't let me take time to read my contact and when I finally was able to, it says, I may provide my own lock that I see fit. I've been trying to reach them to get my money back and they refuse to answer the phone. I won't be using this storage every again and if I were you I wouldn't even try them out.

I called for a same day storage unit. The central agent I worked with was great in locating a facility near me. Once reserved, Kelly called me within 30 mins to arrange my appointment (covid - 1 person in office at a time). When I arrived Kelly gave me detailed information about the facility; security, hours of operation, etc. I wasn’t completely sure the size of unit I wanted so Kelly walked me to a couple of units. Along the way she pointed out things about the facilities amenities and security. Great interaction! Made my decision to store with Public Storage that much easier.

I had a property rented over there briefly last Spring. My personal situation had deteriorated at the time, but Kelly (On-Site Manager) ensured my visits were always smooth and relatively enjoyable. I appreciated how secure this unit was when I had no where else to turn to, and I wouldn’t have survived as long as I did without it. Overall, I highly recommend to anyone that requires storage in the vicinity of Portland to consider utilizing this location. In particular, I also want to commend the staff, and Kelly especially, for her kindness, consistency, and work ethic.

My unit has been repeatedly broken into and stuff stolen. I have received 3 emails over the past 6 months stating that my Unit was not locked and that they could not lock it for me. The lock has been replaced a couple of times and within weeks it is broken off again. The unit is close to the main office and camera's should have picked up the break in. Homeless are camped out all around the facility and are allowed to just wander through at all times of the day. After it only took 2 days for the most recent lock to be broken and things stolen, I am moving out.

I've been at this location since November of 2012, and moving from a 4 bedroom house was very stressful for me. The staff has been awesome, helping keep my mind at ease while storing my valuables here. My storage rent did increase over time, but that's part of life, right? Cost of living in general. I've seen staff come and go. But most recently, Victoria the property manager has been very supportive with great customer service, and will be a great asset for the company's future and sustainment. Great location to store your items out of mind and out of site!

I came in looking for a large storage box to keep the crap my wife could;t live with out but didn't want in the house. unfortuneatly they didnt have any big enough at this spot; so Trisha took the time to look at all the stores in and around this areaa for something that would work for me and even though she couldn't find anything she was so nice and willing to help I felt I had to let people know how far she went to help me find what i needed. If her attitude and willingness to help reflects the rest of the company i am truly impressed. THANK YOU TRISHA

When i first went to this facility I was a little hesitant because it's not the greatest part of town. But then the property manager Victoria explained all the precautions taken to insure my items are safe and secure, she doesn't s lot of time with me answering all my questions to my satisfaction. Afterwards I had absolutely no reservations about storing my things. It was made very clear that these people care about their customers and the job they are doing. If I ever need storage in the future, there is no other place for me then this public storage!

Horrible I had a reservation to look at a unit. I showed up at 5:50pm and was very rudely told she wouldn't show me the unit because she was off in 10 min. My question is why are u there until 6pm. Customer service has become so lazy it seems. All I wanted to do was look at the unit and decide if I wanted it. It was a $220 a month rental u would think the owners wouldnt want sone one who turns sales away. I will be talking to a superior about her horrible customer service. I drove 30 minutes in rush hour just to be turned away very rudely.

Trisha and Tracy are nice but Public storage and upper manager needs to provide better security! No cameras- gate was full on broke the rep had mentioned for 2 days Moving forward on the 16th of March 7 units got broken into including mine. Very valuable and expensive belongings...with a lock ,door codes and gate codes u would think it would have been more secure. If there were cameras that may prevent people from being shady. As much money is in the public storage company and investment of camera should not even affect them financially.

This location is kept in good repair (no broken security locks, no garbage or former renter's belongings), it's always neat and clean. Kelly, the property manager, is friendly, helpful and listens to any concerns I have and solves any problems quickly. As someone who lives on a fixed income Kelly has found ways to help me afford this necessary storage unit. Her attention to security has helped protect my belongings and made life much easier for me. I highly recommend this Public Storage location and the dedicated staff who work there.

I rented on 10/31 and Nicole was very nice. She was able to help me and other customers while the computer was acting up. She knew how to the handle situation professionally. Although I have a disc lock, she made a very good case to get a secondary lock. She assured me that everything was fine but for my own security, it would a good idea. I didn't get the second lock since I have a few at home, she made a good case without sounding like a used car salesman and being friendly. Nice girl with good professional skills.

Tracy was very nice when we set up our rental. We were there for about a year & were happy until a couple months ago when we noticed that the security gate was damaged & not shutting for more than a month. Then we found out that they no longer prorate your last month. We were going to be out of our unit by the 7th & their new policy is that we had to pay for a full month. That just seems wrong to us. We contacted the district manager & he made it right for us. Other than those 2 issues, we were happy with our rental.

Was lied to about 1.00 first month rent. We paid 38.00. They sell u 20.00 locks u can never use again . they are not locks its slides into door and u use a key. Without those door latches keys r worthless . manger lied to my friend out his unit going up for auction. To high on prices for rude managers . used once but will never use again. Rude unfriendly people. Was a month late paying unit cause my friend was in hospital .he ended up paying 95.00 over what was actually owed. Way to go treating a vet

We had our storage unit broken into. No assistance from the property manager whatsoever with completely non-caring attitude. This storage location is in a bad location, has no security cameras, alarms etc. Someone was able to cut through the chain-link fence, cut through our lock and steel our things without any recourse. The one thing you would expect from a storage company is security but they can't even provide that. I would never work with these folks again, their negligence should be illegal.

I had a couple of incidents that caused me to leave…. And not come back. I was told one price online and lower one over the phone; once the paper work was started it was a totally different higher price. I was forced to buy their way overpriced lock and the rent was raised without a notice. And even when moving out I was misinformed on the process which would have caused me to pay for an unused storage and rack up late fees. I will admit the facility is nice, safe and kept clean.

The boss lady here has been here forever. Nothing gets by her so I feel totally secure keeping my things here. There's some rif RAF on the street in front, but don't let that get in the way. They keep to themselves mostly anyway. And, they're not a permanent fixture. Other than that why wouldn't anyone come here? Everything is clean as a hospital. They run a tight ship and I Like that. Security is not an issue here. I trust them completely. I feel like its money well spent. Frfr

Walked in to office and was greeted by Kelly and from the beginning she was very polite and friendly, every question I had she had an answer, she offered to show my the size unit i was looking for, to me i believe she went above and beyond just to make me feel secure so I rented the unit on the spot, thank you again for perfect service and I will recommend that facility, well public storage to all for that matter, once again, thank you KELLY again. New property manager Kelly L. has cleaned up the property inside and out. She has always been friendly and ready to answer any questions. Kelly has worked with me as far as company policy allows her to anytime I've had difficulty. Anyway I find the price a tad high, however I enjoy the personable customer service so it evens out for me. I recommend this Public Storage for cleanliness and friendliness. Thank you for such a relaxed atmosphere..

The staff here is great but the units are smaller than advertised. In my opinion the owner is cheap and greedy. They give you a promo to get you in then Jack your rent up within a few months. Constant problems with people breaking into units. Water leaking into my unit for months and they did nothing. They were finally installing cameras when i left. The gates are always breaking down and being left open. Go somewhere else.

My experience was extremely positive. Kelly was there promptly meet me at the arranged time and the contract was thoroughly explained and completed in a timely manner. She answered all the my questions was most professional and friendly. She then showed me the unit and everything about their procedures and security. I was very well pleased. Thank you, Kelly, for making the whole rental experience a good one.

Great place to go store your stuff. I was there with a friend because he was looking for a storage place. They gave him some great affordable prices. Just so you know if you go online you can actually get some of these prices actually cheaper than you would if you went to the store. They have really good security around the whole place. It's easy in an easy out access. Secure by fence and cameras.

Kelly was extremely helpful with all of the information I needed. She was fast and efficient and super nice. Completely willing to help me find my unit and help me with anything I needed. She even gave me reminder calls and checked in to see if everything was as I ordered. Pretty cheap and amazing staff (Kelly). Will recommend this place to others who need storage. Kelly is always so amazing at this location. She is always calling me and informing me when a large Delivery arrives. The unit is easy to get in and out of but Kelly really makes this place excellent. She even assisted me with setting up another business storage unit and the process was super easy. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a short or long term unit in Portland!!

Like the location, HOWEVER, shortly after move in the renter had a stroke and we haven't been able to move or do anything waiting for a recovery. Needless to say its been 4 years and the price has hiked up so high we may have to lose all of his possessions. Been on time payers the entire time.. Shame on you public storage. Incentives and/or exclusions should be made, not PRICE HIKES!

Calling for any reason is a total mess. You'll be swearing at your phone in 5 minutes or less. My hall was broken into so the lock and code were charged. In order to get the new code I have to go in person to varify my identity. They only see people by appointment. But I have to go through their automatic phone system which is a nightmare. Total cluster cuss.

While I had a unit here, the door was purposely bashed in during the night and someone stole at least $400 worth of items from my unit. There are no security cameras, no way of getting my items returned. Overall there felt like a lack of security at this location, and I'm disappointed in my experience here. Would not recommend renting a unit at this location.

It was a long day, towards the back 9s and although Kelly was almost done this customer (I) wasn’t going to let her cool down. I was gonna ask her to open up one more unit for the day and she happily did. Amazing customer service, very charming woman. Thank you for your service as well, appreciated that you served. Very accommodating and kind individual.

The staff at the NE Prescott Court facility impressed me with their effort to go the extra step to help me out; and find me the best deal for my money. Well worth it. I dealt with Tracy. She was friendly and very personable. Even after I failed to confirm my reservation, the unit was still available at the quoted price. Tracy was very knowledgeable about their products and gave me exceptional service. She also has a great sense of humor which made the experience even more memorable! Keep up the great work!

I have been renting from Public Storage on 138th & Prescott since Oct. 2019 and accept for Not having Cameras up to catch the thief that broke into my unit the day I moved in, they (Especially Kelly) was right on top of it and informed me emediately and they paid me for my loss. If I needed another Storage unit, I would rent from them again!!

I was very pleased with the friendly and quick response when I needed to reserve a storage unit same day. Both Kelly (on site manager) and Mark (csr) were exceptional. Units are clean and accessible. Been using this storage for a few months now and i definatly wouldnt go anywhere else the staff is really friendly and kelly is a wonderful person she works so hard to keep the property clean and secured. When rent is due its easy for me to make a payment in the app i couldnt ask for a better place to store my items

Very chill layed back but professional storage. The main office gal who oversees the storage and office is super sweet and always helpful. Her energy is the right kind of upbeat. The only downfall is the unit price flex. Changes mo th to month so rent if you can pay for several months so prices dont change on you.

I have been with public storage for 5 yrs and sometimes I can’t pay my bill on time but they always work with me so I don’t have to stress about my personal items I can’t keep at home Sure there’s a late fee and a lean fee if it comes to that but ThT gives u extra time to come thru with the cash

I made a reservation and was called almost immediately. I was given an appointment time that was fit for my schedule. I was greeted with a smile and a friendly face. The property is well kept and secure. I am going to be able to sleep soundly knowing that my belongings are in good hands.

They had great price and location. Victoria the property manager made everything easy and was really helpful. She responded within 15 mins after I first filled out a request for the space online, set an appt to see the unit and fill out forms, entire process was under half an hour.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. They responded quickly to inquiries, helped me navigate different options and I felt like they really cared about helping me as a fellow human, not just a customer. Great overall experience and would definitely come back to this location.

This one's a bit harder to find(location wise) I havent had any problems yet I appreciate Kelly's Lovely costomer service and her ability to get the information across in an easy manner. Thank you Definitely worth what I paid for. It gets a bit chilly after the sun's down!

The manager at this location (Victoria) will go above and beyond her job duties to make sure you find exactly what your looking for. She's very warm and understanding she genuinely cares about your business, I like where this property is located very secluded and quiet...

I made an online reservation and immediately received a call from Trisha confirming my reservation and setting a time to pick a unit. She was extremely polite and professional. I was only there for about 10 mins total and left feeling satisfied completely with my choice.

Most friendly and helpfyl staff EVER!! Went to wrong location yesterday, and Karla were so great that she set up a new appt at the correct location. Today checked in correct location with Carla. Such a nice change to have great service in the hussle of hectic moving.

Mark helped me get things set up for my son who is coming here from Las Vegas. He showed me the unit - which is really big, clean & nice! He helped me with the application paperwork & even sold me the lock that is needed for his unit. It went well & quickly!

Clean environment friendly staff. I just wish they mentioned that I had to have insurance for an additional $15 a month and if you don't have a lock its another $15 a month. That is important information to tell customers when they are making a reservation.

Had an almost brand new $2000 bed ruined, they asked for a receipt, issue still hasn't been resolved. They neglected to notify me of a leak they recently had. Definitely wouldn't recommend storing your valuables here. The attendant was very nice though.

Rats have infested and over run an entire building. Leadership is completely unresponsive and seemingly ignoring us. Should have known better by all the warning signs of homelessness and drug use you have to pass by on the way in. Absolute NIGHTMARE.

They raise rent way beyond by getting you in on the 1 one dollar first month. They had rodents and it destroyed our belongings. The customer service is lacking this place is one I would never recommend to anyone use anyone but Public Storage

This a great property to rent from. I had a small issue with getting my furniture in my unit and Victoria the manager went out of her way and helped us out. Excellent customer service. Thank you Victoria. Highly recommend this location.

I had no complaints about my experience using this place. The staff was friendly and prompt in responding to questions and in notifying me of any situations. If I find myself in need of storage again I can't think of a better facility.

Tracy has been absolutely awesome helping my family and I in getting a unit in between our move! Super friendly and delightful, would most definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a place to store there belongings!!

Kelly, the new higher overseeing the property now is just awesome! Really down to earth, and my experience with her was highly exceptional. I'd recommend this location over the other in the Portland metropolitan area.

The grounds are always clean staff is proficient and customer service skills are amazing. The only thing that urks me is the tiny office space I say this soley because the location in my eyes just isn't the best.

I got my storage broken into, somebody pull the plywood next to my unit, and got into my and steal my stuff, that is a inside job. They know what until are empty and the put a lock outside

I give this storage unit a five star rating due to the lady working there kelly she's very helpful and trys to work with ya I hate the price but the customer service is totally worth it.

I wouldn't use this storage facility. Your unit will most likely get broken into. There are as many storage places as there are Starbucks. Keep your property safe and go somewhere else.

Prices are ok, but the neighborhood is questionable. Lots of sketchy people around. They give you a code for the automatic gate, but it's never closed, so security isn't very good.

Unit was broken into, things stolen, rent still raised 100% in a year. Terrible experience, in general. To be fair, the staff is helpful.
