My partner's doc put in a prescription for a medicine that is new to the market. 3 days went by and we go attempt to pick it up only to be told "we don't have that, it has to be ordered and we weren't sure if you really wanted it so we have not ordered it yet." Okay well it would have been nice to maybe get a call to confirm she wanted it, otherwise why would her doc have submitted it? She then tells them "okay yes I do want it, please order it". After a length discussion of "oops we can't order it because it's a new drug, nevermind yes we can. It has to go thru corporate, it'll be here end of next week". She then calls again 4 days later to confirm a different temporary prescription and that the original new med is still coming, only for the pharmacist and pharmacy tech to be quite rude and confirm NO, the new med is not coming anymore even though they told us last week it was being ordered. We've not spoken to a single professional person at this pharmacy. No effort made at all to get ahold of a drug just because it's new on the market. If you're so wishy-washy on if/when you can get it, maybe you should pick up the phone and give a courtesy call to your clients and LET THEM KNOW.
