If I could give zero stars I would. I placed a pick-up order through instant cart. When I arrived at the store the parking spots for pick-up was extremely full. Mind you they only have 2 designated parking spots for pick-up orders. Usually if the parking spaces are taken I can park a space or 2 away from the actual parking space. On Friday I couldn't because the parking was just that full. I checked in for pick up called the store and spoke to someone and told them I had to park at the very end of the parking area;I even asked her if it would be better if I drove to the front of the store. She ensured me that it was okay and that they will find ne. As i sit and wait for my order my app alerts me that my order has been returned because they are unable to find my car. I'm like what!!! So I called back to the store said the same thing again and this time the lady said they are walking out now. I could see an employee walking out the store pushing a basket with groceries, not sure if they waa for me or night. They crossed the street turned around and went back into the store and my app alerted me again with the same alert. I called in the store again. This time a man who sounded like his pronoun is she answered the phone. He,him,her,she told me that I had to come inside and get my groceries because they don't have anyone that can bring them out. WHAT! I have been sitting here over 45mins at this point. I just had surgery on my foot so walking that long distance waa impossible. Then I walk with crutches so pushing a basket on crutches you get the point. I told him I would just wait and try again. Giving the fact that this was my children dinner and I live 45 mins from this publix it was no going then coming back. I waited another 30/45mins checked back into the app and within 1 min they sent the alert again about not being able to find my car. By this time I had moved my car one parking space over from the actual designated parking spot. I'm like no way, no one even came out here. I check in again alert comes right in. I did it another 2 maybe 3 times and then decided to call. They told me to pull up to the front of the store and someone will bring them out. Is this not the first thing I asked. I waited a little over 2 hours to get my order. I'm very disappointed on punkix I shop there so often. They even charge higher prices when you order online. I paid more for a loo g wait time and poor customer service.

UPDATE: This location is still awful. I usually drive 10-15 minutes out of my way to shop the New Berlin location instead of this location due to the prior review 1 year ago almost to date. Put in an order for an online pick up in the deli and 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready it hadn't even been started. Spoke to the store manager after I told the deli staff to toss my ticket as I couldn't wait any longer for it to be done. The store manager didn't really seem to care when I explained the situation and that there was another customer that had been waiting longer than me for his online order. He just went back to stocking shelves with Christmas Candy. This store has been going down hill for some time now. The associates are rude and the deli cannot make a dang sub for anything anymore at this location. I live just a few blocks from this store and have gotten to where I drive all the way to the Duval Station location or the new location on New Berlin. If you’re ordering a sub online for pickup in the deli department and you if write anything in the special instructions area, don’t expect them to actually read what you write or even put the correct toppings on your sub. Just ordered 3 subs and all 3 are wrong in some way. No mayo, we will just put it in there anyway. Spread mayo thin do not put much, we will gob it on there, doesn’t matter what the customer asks for. Items listed for toppings are wrong. My mistake for not wanting the inconvenience of driving out of my way to a Publix that will actually do what’s asked of them. Management doesn’t care either. I’ve spoken to them a few times and nothing changes. Tried calling the location to let manager know about my order being wrong and put on hold for 20 minutes for no one to pick up and be hung up on. Yes, I understand today is Christmas Eve and if this was a one time occurrence I wouldn’t be writing this but this happens all the time at this location on Dunn Ave.

I've never spent as much time having to locate assistance at any other Publix aside from this one and Duval Station. Need balloons? Good luck finding anyone, or having anyone ask if you need assistance. Same with inquiring if there is any available stock of a product not on the shelf. My limited experiences at the deli haven't been stellar either. Last time I ordered deli meats and cheeses, the person there wasn't impolite, but was more matter-of-fact and terse in tone rather than what I would consider to be appropriate for quality customer service. Additionally, she did not ask how I wanted the products sliced, just grabbed the meats and cheeses and sliced them on the machine. I'd suggest retraining might be in order, but considering other comments specifically about the deli, I'm thinking it's a management/culture issue. Publix isn't cheap, and when I go there, I don't expect to receive Walmart-quality service from personnel, or have a similar experience when there are only four self checkouts, and there are constant lines for those registers which end up crossing over the main row and into the beverage aisle, like at Aldi. Absolutely embarrassing for a Publix. Also, very often there are strange characters and solicitors hanging around outside. Very odd for a Publix, and that doesn't make me want to go there, especially with my kids along.

I didn't mind showing it to her but after I showed her that i had paid for it she wanted to see the email. So I had to scroll through my email and of course she was standing over me and I said, " I didn't Steal it"and she said "you said that I didn't" so I said very loudly so everyone could hear Me, you're accusing me of trying to steal something I've already paid for. Then she asked to see my debit card and I just ignored her. I called and reported her nasty customer service and the bottom line is everything should have been in a box or A bag with a receipt taped to it. It's going to be crazy in there for the next 2 days if she is working the self checkout. I bought a few other items that's why she questioned whether I was going to scan the turkey and other containers Extremely mad I called the store and reported her bad behavior but that is the last time I will ever walk in that nasty store again. HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I shop around to compare prices, quality and service. I had made this Publix location my regular store earlier this year, however, because cashier "attitudes" and errors I stop shopping this store for about six months my recent visit was very refreshing overall. The cashier was attentive checking me out, the deli was also improved without all the employee chatter between themselves they were cheerful and very courteous as if they wanted to wait on you. To my surprise I spent less, got everything on my list than I did shopping a competitor. I plan is to return to this location once I receive a new power wheelchair, I have been waiting six months now and was informed today it will be four to six weeks before shipment arrives and a new chair is assembled for delivery.I am very disappointed I can't get out. This trip to Highlands served as a big "up" bump for the stress, confinement, depression and my wallet that I needed, I'm so thankful for this improvement shopping in this store.

My daughter ordered a cake from here for my grandsons 1st birthday (our 1sr mistake was ordering from this location) these people pulled an old cake from the cooler decorated it and sold it to us. Because we only order Publix cakes (never from this location) we know a fresh cake when we taste one. The manager (Josh) had horrible customer service as he basically made us take the loss by being unwilling to refund the money on the card (as if we don't know you don't need the physical card as long as you can enter the numbers) he wasn't willing to give us a store credit or anything. The deli has poor customer service, the seafood department has poor customer service and according to this location, Publix isn't what it use to be. We now know NOT to ever order a *fresh " cake from this location because cutting food cost or just being too lazy to do it is how this store operates. Josh, how did you make Manager? And if we were a different race, would you have accomodated us better?

Worst Publix ever second time I ordered cake day of they don't have cake made then say oh the girl put tickets in Wrong place yesterday I called for chicken wings transfered over 6 times finally a manager that came to phone after on the line 30 minutes being transfered said its gonna take a hour in a half then took name didn't take number hung up a friend ordered today was ready within 45 minutes so basically they where being difficult with me just because then on top of that he species on the chicken was so spicy you couldn't eat it my Friend got

I have visited this store several times hoping to have a different experience sad to report no it hasn't happened. This Publix does not deliver the service that I have come accustomed to with shopping at Publix. In my opinion this starts at the top with store management, hold yourself and employees accountable for delivering the service and professionalism your company known for. And please get some help for the deli department it never seems to be enough employees helping with the customers. This has to get better.

For my Aunt’s birthday we decided to do something small at home. For the dessert we chose Publix because they’re known for delicious yet inexpensive cakes. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed! The Raspberry Elegance cake was so beautiful and tasty. I honestly consider this my favorite cake! As we’ve all come to appreciate and expect, the customer service was great (the bakery manager suggested the cake) and the store is clean. The parking lot is hectic but manageable. I’d definitely refer others to this store.

I was looking for something specific but was unable to find it. I got the attention of one of the employees and she got me some help. The young man came to help me. He was unable to find it down the Isle were I was. He told me it may be down this other isle. He didn't just tell me where to look or point me in the right direction...No, he brought me down the correct isle and handed me what I came there for. The store is always clean and the employees are always very nice and helpful. Thank you Publix!

I have to say this is the nastiest dirtiest Publix I've ever been to. The men and women's bathroom were nasty, we purchased subs from the deli. There's no organization as to who's next in line. There were no tops for the soup bowls. There were no spoons for the super bowls. The area where the spoon straws and forks are was a complete disaster with items all over the counter. See attached photos. I've been going to a Publix in Florida all my life and have never been so disgusted.

For a neighborhood grocery store there prices are WAY TOO HIGH! $40 just for 4 items smh.. It's a struggle for those who are on a budget grocery shopping, but hey, they don't care as long as you keep money rolling in for them,it's a reason why they place these over priced stores in certain neighborhoods to keep the poor poorer&the rich richer. Too bad Aldi's is a little too far for me, right now& and Walmart, 2 of my favorite grocery stores. Can't wait to be back mobile.

4 weeks in a row now I asked for Plant-based subs at the deli and they always say they don't have the ingredients. they have multiple plant based subs on the menu but they are all out of ingredients every time i try to get a sub. When they do still have ingredients because its still on the sales floor... Im getting the feeling the Deli doesn't know anything even though its on the app... If they really don't have it then why not take it off the app?? Incompetence...

Customer service could be a bit nicer. Thanksgiving we had one poor woman handling all the cutting of the meat. Well the manager and her coworkers gave her no help even though several people were waiting clicking myself. I don't blame the woman I blame whoever did the scheduling and any other manager that couldn't bring over someone else with cross training during the business shopping day for supermarket of the year. Lonnnnng wait for customer service. And the lines are long waits like Winn-Dixie the real publix's don't play that you can tell its in a black neighborhood. Riverside and duval Station would neverrrrr everrrrrr! They don't have fried chicken wings here some days. Now! Wwwhat publix you know don't have they own wings available in the deli. Not because it's none available but because non is prepared yet. Be fore real management!

I had the absolute best experience I have ever had at customer service in a store... Dawn was friendly, personable, patient, kind, and had a beautiful smile to go along with her beautiful spirit. It was early in the morning and she greeted each customer with love and kindness. I left there feeling so much better about the day because of Dawn. Excellent choice hiring her. I had a bad experience with Amelia and Elissa today 11/9/23. I was basically treated as if I was lying about signage on baby formula Amelia even went as far as whispering to another employee to go take a picture of the formula area where it indicated a maximum quantity amount. However it did not indicate a maximum amount in the area and no apology was given or option to go ahead and purchase the items.

Quick shop for some snacks. It's a decent Publix but a little older layout than I've encountered elsewhere. Sure, the quality is there. Produce, seafood, frozen all great. The store is nicely leveled and the aisles are bright and wide. No carts in the corrals. It's just not as polished as other stores. If this was the only Publix you've ever shopped, you wouldn't have a very high opinion of the chain.

The Bakery here was very fresh, a lot of great choices, and tasted even better. The only drawback about this Publix, is that it seemed understaffed for the amount of business that comes in. I understand though that Publix is a great company to work for, with great benefits and it's employee owned and run. But otherwise I think this was a clean, fresh store to visit.

There is a good variety of popular products here. All the major brands are represented. The prices are higher than other supermarkets. There is a deli that makes sandwiches. A counter for hot food and a bakery. The staff has been friendly and professional each time I shopped here. There is ample parking in the lot.

The assistant manager liked my work ethic so much, the day my license came through we closed on his 1st home. 10 years later I sold that one and got him a million dollar home and he had become a vice-president.

I come here almost every night after work. The place is teeming with ratchet folk but the food is always where it needs to be. About half of the employees act like patrons are the priority. I'm at least thankful for that given the location. I never notice it dirty and that's a plus.

The deli department is the worst!!! Why isn’t there a person in each section??? You should have someone slicing meats, someone on the subs, someone on the hotline, and someone cooking. But instead there’s 80 people fixing subs. This issue can easily be fixed with proper management!

This is by far the worst Publix in all of jacksonville. Understaffed location and nothing is ever in stock . Don’t get me started about the long lines (5 self checkout registers and 3 are down for maintenance). Such an unpleasant experience every time.

The parking lot is very oddly laid out and difficult to navigate. The neighborhood is so bad that they have armed guards, and almost all of the customers were rude. The store itself is a standard Publix. Nice employees and well stocked.
