Great staff. I just want to say the from the start, the staff there is great. I have gotten items from the fish counter in particular a few times and they shine despite retail jobs of any kind being always a tough thing, but smile on their face, always helpful, get the order done quickly, you name it, I hope they are treating them well as they do a lot for their customers. The bakery also has great items, I have tried a number of things from it and haven't bought something from it that was bad. Even the sandwiches they make are good and worth buying over many other places. The deli meats can get expensive but that is too be expected with higher quality as well. Keep doing what you are doing in that area and maybe bump up the staff and working area by 1 more for lunch rush. Really the place is nice overall, except in 2 areas (well 3 but publix and price is something that should be expected to be slightly more expensive). Firstly, the fruit seems to be hit or miss in some things, I have seen fruit that is clearly should be pulled or has some serious blemishes that is surprising to see. This isn't a one off either as I have been multiple times. Again some items look great, apples, grapes, strawberry's, other items though just don't sell them if you can't sell good quality like the cantaloupe. Secondly, the freezer section, I am not sure if the sensor is bad or what but I have noticed that one of the freezer sections doesn't light up. I have noticed this for some time and not sure what is happening, but when you have 1 part that is dark and the rest bright it honestly makes the place look bad. I think it was the "frozen bread" is what the sign above it said but try walking it starting from the back of the story forward and you will notice that on area doesn't light up, and its been like that for a month now.
Being from Virginia I visited this location for the 1st time. I was told by a local that parking was a bit crazy, I found that to be very true. After wheeling and dealing for several minutes and navigating the maze of traffic I was able to grab a basket and start shopping. The place was very clean and the smells from the deli sent my hunger into overdrive. The deli would be my first stop which had lots of cooked food and of course your deli meats served and cut to your satisfaction. I didn't have much time to wait in the long line so I made a bypass to search what I came for. The prices weren't too bad considering things are much cheaper in Virginia. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as if they knew me and that meant a lot. As a matter of fact I got into a short conversation with one of the stockers who was very friendly. He told me that Publix was a great place to work and a whole lot better than Food Lion. So Food Lion take notes! Like everywhere else inflation is very high and some items are two to three times more expensive, so when I came across a dozen of eggs for $6.50 it did not surprise me at all. The staff at the pharmacy were courteous as well. I love the wine section even though I'm not a drinker. I would recommend visiting Publix to anyone. Other than the parking I would have given it five stars. The location is in a vibrant area of the city, lots of college students and young professionals littered with shops, delis, clubs and restaurants. So just be careful and mindful of the traffic and the different traffic patterns. As an outer towner I was able to navigate pretty well by taking my time and not getting involved in the hustle and bustle of the area.
I love Publix; it's my fav grocer❣️ I have a girlfriend that exclaims, "You can't poot without Publix!" I have never encountered an unkempt Publix, and this store is no exception. Publix's face-to-face customer service is bar none! I don't care if you're just walking down the aisles perusing; if there is a Publix employee in those aisles they will greet you, ask if you are finding everything ok, they will even stop what they're doing to assist you! Their cashiers also ask you if you found everything you were looking for. Their deli and bakery is top notch! Publix is a little on the pricey side (they are no Whole Foods), but their BOGOs are the stuff of legends! If they don't have the item in stock, you can get a rain check (price good for 30 days)☔️. No worries, they whip out their phones like pistols to check the Publix app for what's available in the store! Trust, they want you to leave there happy! They have even substituted similar items at the same price if they believe they will not be receiving the coveted item before the rain check expires. One more caveat, download the app, and they will load a sweet treat on it for your birthday! Well, I guess I can't gush enough about Publix. Indeed, shopping here is a pleasure!
I’ve used Publix bakeries for years, because they truly have the best cakes. Unfortunately, this week my experience was horrific. Last week I online ordered a carrot cake for my husbands birthday with instructions that it be ombré blue. Monday, when I went to pick up my cake, the decorating was a standard carrot cake. I politely explained it was wrong, and in return I had a nasty older woman, Katie, telling me that’s impossible and they can’t do that. I told her someone on the phone reassured me they could the week prior, instead of trying to help in anyway she continues to be rude and embarrass me. I left all of my contact information when I ordered the cake, if it was truly impossible and not just an error, the bakery would have contacted me and asked if there was something else I would prefer. I did not accept the cake, and therefore took my business elsewhere. I am beyond disappointed with Katie’s customer service, and will never be using this Publix bakery again.
Deli Service was horrible. I called all day about a deli item they had listed in the new ad for 3 different flavors. After no response, I finally drove 12 miles to get there and they only had 1 flavor. I asked the deli attendant she informed me that the ad items were in the warmer. I then asked if she had the other flavors she said let me ask. She stepped away and said "He" stepped away. I told her I have more shopping to do I will be back. After about 15 min...I returned and the deli attendant noticed me...she asked "He" do we have any other flavors? "He" said nope I don't have any. I then stepped forward and asked if I could make a special order? "He" said no. My oven is broke? I asked to clarify? Your oven is broke with all these other warmer items and warm deli items in the attached case? I went to customer service to ask for the deli manager...after 10 min...it was about to storm I needed to leave. Publix you have got to do better...back to Harris Teeter I go!
Normally I enjoy shopping at Publix. Un fortunately I made the mistake of purchasing 2 Nordstrom gift cards there for $500. As it turned out my debit card had to be cancelled because of a fraudulent transaction not authorized by me. So I need to get to my bank in NYC to get a new card. My bank does not have a local branch. I tried in vain to get my funds back to no avail. Nordstrom informed me ti return them to the store. AFTER spending close to an hour waiting for the managers to discuss the matter. I was told " store policy all sales are final on gift cards The felt bad so he gave me $5 so I could buy water and pay the fare to Nordstrom. No cash refunds there either. I wound up sleeping in my shoes because planned on being on the bus and could not afford a hotel room. Kind strangers fed me and transported me to and from. Think before you buy a gift card put the money under the mattress or yet in a sock!!!
I would like to leave this review because when I walked into Publix not my normal shopping day ,but to pick up my birthday cake l was having a very rough day to start… when l get to the bakery To pick up my cake I noticed that it was not the correct color that I initially wanted, I was really emotional state at this time, but as I spoke to the manager. Jonas apologize for the inconvenience and make sure that he made it right I was so much happier with how he handled the situation and also his staff was very very nice as well. They actually sang happy birthday to me and made me feel so much better !! Thank you Jonas!! and Publix team for making this right for me!! The way this was handled Jonas deserves Manager of the year!! One Stop shop at Publix Southend
My wife shopped here on 3/16/23 around 7:30 PM and was browsing for something for dinner when a young male employee stocking the produce section asked if she needed help finding anything. She said “I’m not sure” and he responded suggestively, “Were you looking for me?” She responded with a simple “no” and walked away but was inwardly angry and upset. Totally inappropriate. All my wife wanted to do was go to a grocery store and buy food for dinner, not get hit on. This is yet another example of women having to deal with inappropriate behavior everywhere. It’s a shame because Publix is known for having friendly, professional employees. We’ll do our shopping somewhere else.
Always a great shopping experience! They have wide aisles for easy navigation along with possibly anything you could ever want (food wise!). They have a deli, bakery and butcher shop in the store. They also have a great wine/beer selection, international foods, tremendous produce selection, kitchen gadgets, snack aisle, cleaning supplies, dairy and bread. The atmosphere is pleasant with gentle music and friendly/helpful employees. Plus, I’ve never had to wait in a long line to checkout. They have traditional checkout and self-checkout. This is a clean, very well run store! Cheers!
The store is nice and has gone downhill but really hard to get around if you are taking the train having to walk one mile glad the City making changes. Ever since the new manager took over the employees are the same race as him. Yet they can hire them but can't have a store in the east/west area. Some of the people at Customer service don't look friendly and they look scary and give unprofessional service. New cashiers don't know how to redeem rainchecks and can't use them at selfcheckout. Thankfully there's self checkout if there isn't a cashier that I want to go to
I loved Publix. I really do. I called Harris Teeter, the knock-off version of Publix, but this visit wasn't like any Publix experience I had ever had. There was no pre-made salad in the deli. So okay, I will get the wings combo with the two sides and rolls no Hawaii roll, no large potatoes salad. And it wasn't even the weekend it's was on a Thursday. Publix, I was disappointed . I expect this type of stuff at a Food Lion but NOT Publix. And do better with the salad bar. That was my second option, but of course it was a huge disappointment there.
stopped coming here after a women brought her two non service dogs into the grocery store and they had their nasty paws all up on the great produce licking and sniffing everything. management was right there and did nothing, even when i spoke to the woman and told her this wasn’t a place for non service animals . an employee even told me to “leave it alone”. dirty nasty. i love dogs but leave grocery stores for service animals. situations like this make things less accessible for people with disabilities who ACTUALLY need their TRAINED dogs there.
This establishment has the BEST, most thoughtful and courteous management. It was mother's day and they helped me resolve something that went slightly weird with an order I placed.. And let me tell you, I have never experienced such great customer service before in my LIFE! I wish I had gotten their names, one of the store managers had pretty curly hair and the other manager had nice blonde hair. They were so wonderful that I am now exclusively going to be buying most all of my groceries from here from now on! You are rockstars!
Went back to back nights to get a chicken tender sub that I’ve been craving. Thursday night I went around 6:30pm and they were out of chicken tenders. No problem I thought, I’ll come earlier the next day. Today I went at 5:30pm, stood in line for 20 minutes and saw they had tenders available. By the time I got to order however they had just ran out. I’ve never had an issue with this Publix, been going since they opened however I’m not going to waste my time going there if they can’t even manage their most popular food item.
I went Publix today to purchase items. There a issue when I used a different card for payment. I did remove the card, but it was there was the issue with the debit/credit card machine. The cashier Liz, got impatient with me because I did not remove the card, which I did. Liz walked to customer service so the lady could assist. After a couple of times, my card was approved. I never had this problem at the self check out line. The lady at customer service was very friendly. I did apologized, but sometimes things do happen.
I come to this Publix at least 5-6 times throughout the month. Their subs are always my go to. I used to order ahead of time but my subs are ALWAYS messed!! Since coming inside for some time the station’s are NEVER clean. Whenever I come and employees seem to have an issue every time I ask them to clean the station before making my food. The older lady with the glasses is always frowning and never pleasant. There have been occasions where employees have been pleasant but cleanliness is a hit and miss.
Truly appreciate the staff. It is a wonderful place. The staff at this location of Publix has far exceeded the goals and level of customer service that I give for the Charlotte market. I have never been disappointed with Publix anywhere that I've gone to but I assumed that the Charlotte mentality would permeate this business and it has not extremely thriving business excellent customer service keep up the good work the bakery department is phenomenal I recommended highly as well as the deli counter.
Deli staff is hit and miss. Attitudes if you ask to change gloves after handling bloody roast beef of previous customer. If you ask for cheese, they will not layer it like they are supposed to do. They get an attitude if you remind them to do it right. I have complained one time to the management but nothing happened. Cashiers are very nice and polite. Deli is my only complaint!! It is not all of them but the few make it look bad. I just go down the road to Harris Teeter (yes, I know same family).
I was once a long time patron of Walgreens until the pandemic struck. It was then that long lines and poor customer service became the norm. Unfortunately they never rebounded but luckily for me Publix came to the rescue. My meds are always ready first thing in the morning and the pharmacist are the best. Even the technicians are professional. They answer my calls, and they are very friendly. I love my new Pharmacist! Go Publix. Can't forget that their prices are far cheaper too.
Let me tell you about the amazing store manager Jonas. We ordered food for an event and there was a mixup. Jonas approached us and remedied the situation. He was courteous and understanding!!! He went above and beyond to help us. The other employee that was with him (can’t remember his name) was great too. Please keep Jonas at this Publix. I have never experienced such great customer service in my life. Jonas made me a customer for life. Give that man a raise. He’s the best
I’m a visitor from out of town and I’m currently waiting in the deli line for a sandwich 08/26/2023 after 7:30PM EST and there’s only one young lady working in the department and there’s a line. Bless her heart she’s trying to do everything by herself. If management sees there’s a wait, then management should take the initiative and delegate by asking other employees I see working in the back of the deli line to assist. Making customers wait unnecessarily is UNACCEPTABLE!!
Went to get a sub yesterday night around 8ish. I got a vegan sub, but they didn’t have the ingredients so I had to go shopping for them; no biggie. Brought back the items, and the deli lady wasn’t happy at all ??? She was mad as if those items were her’s. Never encountered that kind of attitude at any of the other Publix I’ve been to. Needless to say, once I got home I only ending up eating half because it wasn’t good. Very disappointing
This store is downhill really hard to get to if you are using CATS. The train won't stop in front of the store. The staff are mostly AA yet they can work there but not have stores in the east/west side of Charlotte. Security in the store watching over customers. It's just horrible to feel unwelcome. They don't know the coupon policy and make you pay full price. Waiting for publix uptown to open
Stumbled upon this Publix while out. It has easy, elevator accessible parking. 5 Stars for cleanliness and definitely happy that even though it was a midsized store, we were able to find everything o our list. Cashier was friendly, able to chat while ringing us up...no delays. Overall good experience. Looking forward to another trip to really take time to look at all the offerings.
Well stocked, customer friendly. However do not try to go close to closing because they will not let you in. One time in particular they we're out of fried chicken and told us it would be a wait. So we decided to wait in the car and when we tried to go back in the store the manager told us no. The bakery is amazing! They are very creative and helpful.
I love Publix and I especially love the deli (my main reason for shopping there). I am overjoyed when I see Carlos (I believe that's his name) he is the best, attentive, considerate, and very polite. He also remembers me and that is such a rarity these days. As long as he is there I will frequent this store. Thanks Carlos and Lisa.
All right. So i placed an order for a extra large fruit bowl. They couldn't find my order. So i had to get bowls off the shelf and. spent more. They only had my order for my yoyos. I even showed the fruit receipt order. But they didnt have it. Kinda bummed but i wasnt going to act up over fruit. But i needed it for a get together.
That particular Publix Pharmacy is absolutely the finest pharmacy I have ever dealt with! Each of the Pharmacists, as well as each and all of the non-pharmacist individuals there are considerably caring and considerate, and extremely helpful! I strongly recommend this specific pharmacy as the very best choice in all of Charlotte!
Shopping for food is a wonderful experience whenever I visits Publix. I was able to pick up lunch, and stop by the pharmacy all in one place. The associates are always friendly and helpful. And I love the fact that they always have crab legs for sale. And if you didn't know they will also steam them for you!
The parking in front of the store is a complete mess. I see near accidents daily and it’s constantly clogged with people waiting for a spot. There is amazing parking in the lot downstairs, but because they have a handful of spots in front of the store it is more dangerous and congested than it needs to be.
The deli employees move at the pace of a snail. No urgency whatsoever. I also heard them talking about other guests as I was standing there. I have been coming to this Publix’s since it opened and it has always been this way. Give yourself at least 45 minutes if you want a sub, even if your second in line.
Went to Publix for the first time a few days ago. Grabbed a somewhat decently priced package of steak and got it home. And needless to say that was the first time and last time that I shop at Publix... people are spending way too much money in that store for someone to be taken home bad meat.
For all your seafood needs this store is for you. The meat, produce and bakery department rocks. I always find what I'm looking for here and the store is always clean clutter free aisles and associates don't mind stopping what they are doing and walk with you to find what your looking for
I do enjoy all things Publix. My favorite place is the bakery. I visited to purchase a last minute birthday cake and they knocked it out the park with an already made personal cake. Price was even spectacular. I threw some sparkler candles on it and it made his day! Publix never fails!!!
Management have poor attitude, so naturally so do the employees. Almost all they are very dismissive and rude. They watch certain people very closely while others get a pass out the door in front of security with no problem. Never again. For sure. Save your money. Harris Teeter.
I'm a faithful Publix customer, but for some reason the prices in this store are rising higher and faster than any other I've been to in Charlotte. Made me feel like I should stock up at Costco for inflation Armageddon. Hopefully things get better for everyone real soon.
I have to say, I’ve been here probably 200x, and every time the staff is just wonderful. Genuinely wonderful people. They know my kids and say hello and chat us up every time. The sandwich line could be improved though. Taste amazing but it takes 30 mins for a sub. Sigh.
My favorite grocery store in the Uptown Charlotte area. Clean, friendly employees, fair pricing, excellent customer service and great security. Good place to bring kids if you have no one to watch them or want to bring them shopping. Would recommend as an everyday store.
Publix did our wedding cake and lunch catering for our wedding day. We worked with Toccara and Jay through the process and they were very responsive and flexible! They had a booked day of deliveries and still managed to deliver our food and cake on time without issue!
Visiting from Florida and I must say this is one of the best Publix stores I have ever been in. It is extremely clean, well stocked and very well laid out. My daughter lives in South End and she loves it also and uses it as her main grocery store. Great job!
Do not orders the chicken sandwich from the deli. Uncooked bacon. Soggy breaded chicken. The bottom of my roll was rock hard and after a couple bites, looked at the bottom and there was a piece of mold. Thew it away. If I get sick they’ll hear more about it
LOVE ❤️ Publix wish they would get rid of all the Food Lion and put a Publix there. If I want an over-priced grocery store aleast let it be GOOD quality. From there fried chicken, subs, and cakes always a great selection to choose from. You can't go wrong.
Only reason I am giving the store two stars is because of the one helpful older AA man in the deli who was willing help get things done and was the only hard working one. I placed an order yesterday 10/04/2023 for pickup at 4:30pm. My order
Store was clean, shelves stocked. Customer service is the reason for the low score. Which is crazy to me. I’m from Georgia and employees at Publix in Georgia can sometimes be overwhelming helpful and nice. Here it was the complete opposite.
Quarter sheet cake was dry, the icing was falling apart when I cut the cake. Please don't trust the dates on the cakes. Place an order for your cakes to be made, I missed the cut-off. I was, however, told the cakes had just been put out.
I love That Their Winery is Excluded from The rest of The Store (take the stairs or elevator). I was kind of salty they didn't have all the toppings or condiments at the sub section store but overall this is a clean convenient location.
Wonderful store to spend time in and find hard to get items. Prices aren't for the faint of heart but the quality is good. I also prefer their customer service over the competitors. It's rare to find everybody friendly and professional.
As a city boy, I actually enjoy the "urban" feel of this store with parking in the garage and taking the large elevator up a floor or two to the main entrance. It may be a slight inconvenience for some, but I kind of like it. It's more
Publix is Awesome! A family from Florida started this business; BRILLIANCE! Clean, fair pricing, brilliant customer service! Everything is fresh! I do not have to check expiration dates while shopping at any Publix Supermarket! Enjoy!
This Publix is very clean and a little more upscale than others. That is likely due to the location. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a two level parking garage which is nice during in-climate weather. ⛈️️️️☔⚡ …
everything was a hot mess. at 1pm on a monday i witnessed two people shoplifting and security detaining a woman in the lobby. the deli took 20 minutes before i could even get my order placed. those elevators are always a huge pain as
Stephon made my wrap at the deli with so much care. I appreciate also that he changed gloves every time he touched something outside of the food bar - no one else does that. Please give him a shoutout for his care and hard work.
Deli staff could definitely be nicer and more attentive to guests. Just say hello to me, or I'll be with you in a second. Funny how they don't treat my husband that way. Everyone else in the store is especially nice and helpful.
Great selection, and they offer a lot of Publix branded versions of items to help save money. On top of that there's a ton of coupons available on their app making it affordable while also having some great products
Im gonna be honest this deli can be slow sometimes but Casey is the man!! He makes a bomb sandwhich and a fire wrap. He puts his heart into it and you can tell. Thank you Casey! - the girl working on her straw hat
Always a pleasure coming to Publix. The entire staff reminds me of going to Chick-fil-A. Everyone is in tune to the mission of the company, and they are there to serve it's customers. I love it! Great job, y'all!
This market is always clean. The produce is fresh and crisp. The bakery items are so soft and perfect each time. The only negative is how bad getting to it is with construction. Other than that it’s great.
Public is my new Pharmacy. After waiting and waiting and waiting at Walgreens I snapped. Now I’ve been going to Publix for about a year. This is equidistance from my house and 10x easier to deal with.
Love this store. Brightly lit, clean store and friendly staff. This is a wonderful store for everything and anything. Their fried chicken is the best. Along with the Mojo rotisserie chicken.
Plenty of parking. Great selection. Store is clean. I went to find a specific drink that was out of stock at a different Publix across town. They had exactly what I was looking for.
One of my favorite grocery stores tht has the food we eat tht aren't GMO and products that are natural as well Their hot buffet has delicious food as well w a Starbucks inside
I have yet to have an online deli order that’s actually been on time. The last 2 times i arrived at the time promised and the deli had not even started on my order.
This location is always clean and well stocked. My only issue is the young adults that stand around and chat with their fellow employees while bagging my groceries.
Parking can be very annoying. We ordered two vegan subs; one was great, the other one they put real cheese on, used non vegan bread, and put raw lightlife bacon on
I travel more than six miles just to shop in this store. The management team is wonderful and the team is awesome! I will drive pass two just to get to this store.
I loved it. Thats the first time having the experience of such unique parking. Very clean and the staff was so nice and friendly. I will be shopping there again.
Very clean store and the lines were not long at all, which was surprising for a Sunday. I got everything I needed and was fully satisfied with the experience.
Easy in Easy out Had just what I was looking for with loads of variety. Store was very clean, nice professional help Stocked with everything , isles clean...
South Boulevard This is a great Publix. Always clean, friendly, and helpful. Enough parking with the underground parking garage. Great location for the area.
Super clean and organized store. The prices did seem a bit overpriced on certain items. They don't sell hard alcohol, but that's how they roll in the South.
Store is well stocked and clean. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit higher than other local grocery stores. They have a great bakery?!
Always great produce, and bakery! By far, great fried chicken !! Just hard to get single to a couple of pieces. Employees are so kind and helpful! …
Clean, great staff and very likely to be stocked with fresh produce, just wish they would make more of those chicken sandwiches they're famous for!
Isaiah, those pop tarts were so good mate, thanks to all the staff for having a good time with me! Cinnamon toast crunch pop tarts so good …
Likely the best grocery store, if not the top it's the best value. Of course their chicken tender sub is elite, it's worth a visit for that
This store was so clean and organized. Prices closely match Harris Teeter. Lots of parking.items were easy to find. I plan to return soon.
Very clean and people friendly prices kind of high but I always said you get what you pay food the quality of the food is great.
Its an ok store. Inthinknthe prices are higher than other stores. Its an old building but clean. Very hard to get in and out of
Always a quick process. They didn't have a Mario cake so purchased a Cars cake and changed out the toppings/decor for Mario
Very nice neighborhood publix. The Staff are very nice, always help and don't mind being interrupted for a question.
Great produce and product selection. Limited surface parking on the side but the parking structure below is free.
This is one of the main locations I go to, and I've not had any problem. The deli is good, and I like the bakery.
Thank you Ron for making such a great sandwich for me on my lunch today, it was delicious!! I appreciate you!!
One of the best shopping experiences. Many employees go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and valued.
Many products and good customer services available. However, noted seafood products over competitive price.
They always have what I need, courteous employees. The bakery, deli, fresh seafood are always on point.
Always love me a good Publix.. love the fruits and veggies. Always great service and friendly smiles.
The property is clean and so is the produce. Parking is sufficient (parking deck and street parking)
Publix always provides a good shopping experience. This store is nice, always clean and organized.
Food is excellent, meats are reasonable prices. Stores are super clean. Never disappointed.
I love Publix! The service is always friendly and the sub and deli choices are top notch!
Express lines were not busy at the time I went early in the afternoon. Helpful employees!
Thanks for the 5 star service Tyler in the floral department. Super helpful and friendly.
Food was a little tough, had the spinach fritatta with egg white. Tasted good though.
Clean and easy, everyone was friendly and we found all we were looking for
Handy location for the day. Pick up service was great. Very efficient
Very quickly found what I was looking for, and was out of the store.
