I am 29 years old and no one I know my age has ever used a travel agent. Travel agents are things of the past and why would I use one when I could do everything myself on the internet? This is what I thought before working with Purple Light Vacations, and now I want to shout from the rooftops how incredibly helpful travel agents are, especially Jonathan from Purple Light Vacations. I am a meticulous planner, but found myself overwhelmed when trying to plan a trip across the world to India and Thailand. I reached out to Jonathan and the rest is history and I have told all of my friends that they must contact him for their next trip. How do travel agents make money? Do I have to pay for this service? Our trip started out in New Delhi, India and from there we went to Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand. From booking hotels to finding unique tours and unforgettable experiences, Joanthan was there for us every step of the way. He booked beautiful hotels, delicious food tours, enchanting elephant sanctuaries, and personalized private city tours. He constantly found better rates than I did and was able to recommend accommodations and transportation that would make our overall trip run seamlessly. One of the trips we took was for 26 people to the Taj Mahal, and coordinating with this many people was incredibly stressful. My partner and I used Purple Light for our trip to Paris and Barcelona last month and were so impressed with the accommodations and tours that our Travel Consultant, Jonathan, made for us. Each of the Hotels we stayed at were beautiful and exceeded our expectations. They were ideally located, the staff were extremely helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious and made for a great start to our days. Our hotel in Paris was literally a half block from the metro which was fantastic for helping us get around the city quickly. Our hotel in Barcelona was also exceptional. It was located in the heart of the Eixample neighborhood and within minutes of all the gay friendly bars, restaurants, and cafe’s. While we had not planned to spend time in Sitges, Spain, Jonathan recommended we take a couple of days at the end of our trip to visit this town. That recommendation turned out to be one of the best highlights of our trip and we would have missed it if we had not booked through Purple Light. On the recommendation of a family member, Purple Light Vacations booked a very special Rhine River cruise with Avalon Waterways for me and my husband. My son and I recently traveled to Eastern Europe visiting Budapest, Sofia, Belgrade, Bucharest and Istanbul. My wife and I just came back from our 5 year anniversary trip to Cancun. We told Jonathan the dates we wanted, our budget and what sorts of things we were looking to do. He got right on it! Purple Light Vacations booked our trip to Mexico City for us- flights, hotel, and a day excursion to the Teotihuacán.
