It’s rare to find a park with waterfront (small beach accessible) space for picnic, and/or whatever entertainment suitable, right next to a playground with big slides and toddler pools (partially shaded) and facilities like BBQ, toilets, etc. There are plenty to explore, many does return frequently ;-) Addition: It's fascinating to read the book "The River - From Sydney Cove to Parramatta", getting to know the history of the name Putney / and Mortlake (Nostalgia of the early European settlers), and what Putney Park was back in time. Transport: Plenty of car park spaces, be mindful if you Park off-street in the neighbouring residential area across the road. Only a short walk to Kissing Point with ferry. Highlight: the only remaining ferry service between Putney Point and Mortlake which can take you with your car across, for free, unique and amazing experience. Note: at the end of Pellisier Rd there is a scenery point with bench and access to a hidden beach, thanks to those make it available.

On the eve of the end of lockdown for Sydneysiders and glorious Spring weather has drawn my neighbourhood to Putney Park. I joined them with my 5 year old daughter & we had a wonderful time ! With temps in the high 20s, we spent majority of our time at the Billabong with water play. The ankle depth water meant that parents could breathe easy even with Toddlers in the water. My daughter loved the bubble water play & the partly sheltered area was perfect ! There's also a large slide for the older children, along with a pyramid climbing frame, while the littlies had play equipment and slide perfect for them ! We dried off in the sun, while snacking and watching older children enter the river swimming area. Though there were BBQ facilities and some chairs, I would highly recommend visitors to bring their own, so they won't be disappointed, especially on a beautiful day ! My daughter has already said that we're definitely making a return trip so hopefully I'll see you guys there

Great place for kids and family to relax and have some fun. They do have a little swimming swamps with small slides that makes kids very excited as soon as they see For kids who won’t go for a dip they have small playground along the side something to keep them busy too these places have few cottages which have barbecue facility (I assumed it needs to be booked as per the board signage) overall it’s a nice place not so big but just enough. It got decent amount of parking space too. Highly recommend this place only off is the construction site that’s why it wasn’t 5 star for me as of yet.✌

The kids playground is a bit different than other parks. It has a long tube slide and two small water pools. The water pools were not clean. Many kids use the slide while their cloth are wet which makes it difficult for others to slide. A climbing web also exists. The toilets are ok. Car park is not big but shady as many high trees surround it. You may park off the street as the park is in a residential area just ahead of the ferry wharf. Electric BBQs are available but not many so you may go early if you want using them. You may spot different wild birds when you're there. Some birds will go after your food so take care ;)

Nice water views. Good size and clean huts. Electric BBQs. Good clean toilets but only one is open. The other toilet toward the other end of the park is permanently closed. The playgrounds have varieties of equipments that suitable for kids all ages. There are climbing and giant slide for older kids. Small shallow water for toddlers to get wet. There is also second playgrounds next to it I think if you want to make your kids happy this is the place to go.

Putney Park is a complete family park, it has everything for all ages. A good play area (big slide and water pound) for kids to enjoy max. Lovely landscape with ample sitting areas to sit and watch for grown up. Enjoy wishing, DoBBQ. Sit and enjoy natural beauty. It has good parking space and it’s free and toilet so no worries. Just pack your bag and spent complete day with family and friends.

It's a very picturesque park in this area. Great water views and some of the biggest slides in a public park. Kids love the slides. Nice place to picnic as well. Lots of benches all around to sit. And a small water area for the kids to play. There is one play area at the top also which has a long open slide.

It has good shallow water for small kids, but the alone is too big for the little ones and my older children had bruises on their backsides from it. There isn't much else to do there and they got bored rather quickly. Grassed area is large but full of bindis. On the plus side it has parking and toilets.

This water park is such a hidden jem! It's got a shallow pool for the kids and a massive slide...there is another section literally a few stairs down towards the shoreline that has a cute little playground for younger toddlers and a massive netting to climb on top of a sand pit.

There were plenty of parking in the carpark. There were a few shaded benches but you need to come early to bag one. Good shallow water play area for kids and there is a huge slide next to it. Plenty of grass area with water views to lay a picnic rug.

  • pras widiyanto

The playground is great for kids but does not have a shower to rinse off after playing in the water. Take a 10 min walk from the playground to find a peaceful spot on top of the rocks where you can enjoy the view or read a book

Nice big park. Water play area really good for a how summers day. It's shaded so that's a big bonus. There's other playgrounds scattered around so have a wonder. Plenty of space for picnics and having a play.

It's a good place to take your kids once in a while. There is a shallow water body for small kids to play in and a slide tube for children above 7 years. Another attraction is Mortlake ferry which is nearby.

A great park with a mini pool and a huge slide. There are also decent toilets, barbeques, gazebos and tables to have a picnic. There is also access to the water for a kayak and lots of grass to relax on.

  • Mark Chen

Wonderful water park for kids from baby to toddler. Not big but enough. Car parking will be tricky. You need to arrive early to have a close spot. Bonus with a exciting slide for both kids and adults.

  • Phill &Jasminee

Great parks, the water at the main park is shallow so perfect for kids to play in. Kids loved it!! Has great views here and its peaceful sitting by the water. Can get pretty packed here.

  • Sash Miller

It was a hot summer day, and this park in the City of Ryde has quite a pleasant shade-sailed water play area for kids. It can certainly get quite busy being a free play area though.

  • Kai Shueh

Great park with water park, sand pit, close to river, sheds , bbq, toilets , big grass area for sports. Good for family or gathering or picnic. Also with many parking as well.

  • Ian Randall

Beautiful park. Especially for a family picnic. There's an amazing children's playground with a shallow water area for kids to splash about in. And a really big covered slide.

  • Joel Wilson

Serene river. Can just sit there gazing. Crowded on weekends. Good slide and playground for kids. The water in the playground seemed filthy. Toilets could be cleaner.

  • Rooftop Escape campers

This is quiet a cool park has an awesome slide and mini water section for the kids . There is plenty of open space for them to run and nice views of the river snd

  • Priya

Small park with water play setup, a big slide and climbing pole for kids. Has few park benches and picnic tables with view of water. Younger kids will enjoy.

  • Shenny Penny

Beautiful place, can get busy on the weekends. There's a small water park and a large playground. It's nice to walk along the river. Plenty of free parking.

  • Laura Morsillo

The new foreshore upgrade is nice, but there's a lot of uneven ground and holes in the park and the area with the picnic tables floods with lots of rain

  • Sue Grove

It is a relaxing and cool environment which my grandchildren loved! They had so much fun. We ate grateful for parks such as these.

  • Jenny Song

Lovely neighborhood park. It can get quite busy. We didn't get a table and bbq so we brought our own table and shared a bbq space.

  • G. Abzilla

Nice place for kids. Has a big slide and a small water park. Limited tables but plenty of trees for a picnic.

  • Huzefa Mansoor Ali

Very good park with waterfront and lot of picnic and parking space. A very big water skide for kids as well.

  • Mathew Winsor

Beautiful spot for the family, loads of space, trees and shade, play equipment, water access, BBQs, gazebos.
