Very odd experience, I think with one of the owners on the phone. Had used their "Get a Quote" form on their website. Got a call the next day - asked if I was "still looking for information on things," or some other super vague question (didn't say they were calling from QuikTransfer, or who they were, or that they were calling about the moving quote inquiry). Took almost a minute to figure out who was calling me and for what reason, as they were very oblique with answering questions. In our quote request I'd stated our preference was on one of two dates, one of which was on the weekend and one on a tuesday. They asked if moving not on the weekend was ok, to which I said yes, a tuesday was one of our preferred dates. They then immediately asked again if we could do a date not on the weekend, to which I pointed out that tuesday was not part of the weekend. They then went into a canned speech about how their company had been in business for 60 years, and were trustworthy, and had no complaints with the BBB (an odd thing to emphasize given the controversies with the BBB, and how their ratings are based on fees paid by the business in question). They then asked me how much I thought I should pay to move... which I didn't want to tell them, because I was asking them for a quote - if I gave a value that was higher than their usual, then I would be stuck paying that. A number of weird allegories followed, about the cost of coffee, about trust, etc. but they wouldn't talk about quotes whatsoever unless I opened with an offer. They then started ranting about trust and how they need to know they can trust their customers. At that point, it had been a 5 minute phone call and they'd given me no useful information, so I interrupted them on their tirade about trust, and told them this was a really weird phone call, and asked whether they were willing to give me a quote or not, to which they replied something to the affect of "not with that attitude," so I thanked them and hung up. I wish I had recorded it because it was the most surreal thing that's happened to me in a while. I'm not entirely convinced that this was actually QuikTransfer calling me, rather than a prank call, as the number that called me is not listed on their website - hence the 3 stars rather than 1. However, if this was actually them, there is no way I would ever consider doing business with them - too many red flags.

YES! Quick Transfer 'is' the moving company for you! As high-risk seniors, and as had been highly recommended in this time of COVID restrictions, on Dec. 16, 2020 we used Quick Transfer for a move to our new Seniors' community. To make it more expedient* and a shorter day for us, Wilf made the suggestion we book two smaller trucks with 4 movers. (*faster packing in trucks, with fewer tie downs and wraps needed to prevent travel damage amongst furniture pieces) For us, this proved to be a wise choice. Our 4 movers, Daniel, Marc, Tristan and Thomas, worked steadily, efficiently, masked, and with respect for us and our belongings. Though van drivers Marc and Daniel were obviously the more skilled and experienced, there was great teaming, teaching, moitoring, and awarenss of safety amongst all four. They thanked us for our easy-to-follow colour-coding on items indicating where they were to go at the new place. And, we appreciated helpful problem solving as Daniel quickly stepped in to add a shim to level the floor for our fridge. Our QT movers took needed and very short breaks, and finished in less time, and for lesscost than we'd been quoted. Best of all, they were finshed by 4 PM and we weren't totally exhausted. (We still have oodles of boxes to unpack - but in this time of COVID isolation, we don't have much else to do!) P.S. Oh yeah! Stories emanating from a "two-van move" are lots of fun! Neighbours at the starting end of the move were thinking we must be extreme hoarders! And as new neighbours at the receiving end saw two vans joined butt-to-butt with a single ramp coming right to our doorstep, they were thinking we must be moving from a huge mansion, and for sure that we will never get two vanloads of belongoings into the bungalow they're being delivered to! Thanks to Quick Transfer for these extra laughs too!

These guys! You should try 'em! Julio, Dylan, and Andrea were the bomb diggity! Here are some of the reasons why I adore them: -they used care and EXTRA paper when packing my breakables -they were friendly AND fun, we had a great time visiting and laughing while they went about their work -the fire alarm went off in my apartment building and they nearly got stuck in the elevator and then we had to wait outside for about 30 minutes, but it didn't phase them one bit - they are go with the flow kind of people -they talked to me about logistics for the unpack (as the house I was moving into is already furnished) what should go on the truck last, so that it could come out first the following day in our game of real live TETRIS! -they are problem solvers - my bed frame is a BEAST, but they took time and attention to figure out how to take it apart and put it back together -they accidentally packed my school textbook that I desperately needed and were patient with me while I opened numerous boxes during the unpack to find them (they even helped open boxes for me) -they tried moving big items around to see if they would fit where I wanted them (even though they probably knew it wouldn't) and suggested other places that might work better for them to be stored -they remembered where they packed important items (like bed pillows) and let me know when they were unpacking boxes where I would find them In addition, James the logistics coordinator was incredibly helpful in getting the move set up. On both days of move out/move in, he called to check in and reminded me I have two months to claim any damages. WOW! Talk about customer service. Thanks Quick Transfer! You are much appreciated!

Hello, I go by Margaret as well & I'm leaving a review although I was never actually a customer who used this company for moving. I tried several times to "get a quote" and I'm still waiting. First checked out the website on Aug. 6th, 2021, filled out the "get a quote" form with all the details for the move I need for September 2, 2021. I got confirmation it was submitted. I waited 1 week, didn't hear ANYTHING from the company at all. I called Aug. 13, 2021 - spoke to receptionist told her I filled out the quote etc back on Aug. 6, she couldn't find??? all she could do was take my number and she said someone from "sales" will call me back (again we are at Aug. 13th then). August. 17, finally in the afternoon I received a voice message from Wilf (phonetic) who did leave me his cell #, he stated he was part owner & this was a family business and he would be happy to get me a quote. I called the cell # about 1 hr later - got voice mail. Then called the business office & asked for him, spoke with receptionist - she transferred me to his line -- again got voice mail, I left a message requiring a call back. Today August 18th, 2021 & yes its only 1 day later but I'm still waiting for a call back. ALL in all even if/when they call back I wont be using this company for any moves at all. All from August 6 to August 18 (today), they had more than several opportunities to call back/email me with a quote. It's very unreliable and unprofessional. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. We bought a new house, and decided to hire a moving company to move all of our contents (not just the big stuff) - after obtaining three quotes, we decided to go with Quick Transfer. Wilf was our main point of contact through the planning and quote phase, and of the three companies we obtained quotes from, his attention to detail, suggestions for making the move as easy and cost-efficient as possible, and availability overall to answer questions as we made our decision resulted in our choosing Quick Transfer. On the day of the move, the staff showed up (five in total). The move was completed in the time Wilf suggested, and the entire crew was easy to work with, and all showed not only competence in moving large/bulky items, but respect and care for our items. They made the move as easy as it could have possibly been, and we are truly thankful for that we used Quick Transfer for our move. Cannot emphasize enough how happy we are with them - will definitely recommend them to anyone looking to engage the services of a moving company!

Wilf went above and beyond in more ways than one. He made me feel like family, and was there when going through a hard time with purchasing a home to move our stuff to; he listened to me cry, and had amazing words of comfort. This isn't something you would expect from "a moving company". Wilf was able to help find a solution when we realized we needed to be out of one home before we could move into the next, so we knew our belongings were going to be taken care of. When it came to the day we were to move, and a good ol' MB snow storm hit (first big one of the season), Quick Transfer still tried to have the trucks come. Thanks very much to Wilf Mueller for organizing our move and for arranging for our dream team – Darryl and Julio – to take care of us. We wanted them because they were the very best we have encountered in our several moves in recent years. And they proved to be even better than we remembered. By the way, Darryl and Julio expertly managed some very tricky unusual business (a large antique Chinese armoire, an outsized sofa in the master bedroom). Mark popped in on loading day to help the guys lower the armoire over the balcony because it would not fit through the front hall without damage. The armoire and the apartment are both in good shape. The guys were professional, courteous, smart, practical, efficient and concerned always with meeting our needs. This was a first class job . We are very pleased with Quick Transfer's services and will recommend them (and Wilf, Darryl and Julio in particular) at every opportunity.

We had Quick Transfer move our things from Winnipeg to Winnipeg Beach and we couldn't be happier with their service. Brandon and Franco were polite and professional, and they were very careful with our furniture. Wilf was very professional and quick to respond to our email, and he accommodated us on short notice. He gave us two quotes to choose from - a fixed rate and an hourly rate. His fixed rate was almost identical to the hourly rate in the end, which I think points to Wilf's expertise and knowledge of what a move will require. They observed Covid-19 protocol, which isn't easy when you're moving from a small space to another small space. They went above and beyond what we expected, and we would definitely use these movers again. I highly recommend Quick Transfer if you have a move in your future, and we've already recommended them to family who may be moving.

Excellent moving company. They provide boxes that they take back. This saves having to purchase them, recycle them or gather up from a variety of sources. The people moving the furniture are fast, efficient, friendly and personable. They do a wonderful job wrapping and unwrapping everything at the destination. If I can offer one suggestion, make sure to get a quote instead of paying by the hour. Although the moving crew are fast and efficient, most people will be happier knowing the approximate cost before hand. We have used Quick Transfer / Portage Moving and Cartage four times. Should we move again, we will definitely call them again.

Driver was unprofessional, his first question was 'so we just move the big stuff and you take all the boxes'. Are you for real? They damaged hardwood floors, walls and expensive hardwood table. Didn't lay down mats. Didn't bag all matters. Didn't bag sofas. Didn't wrap all furniture as promised. One of the guys moving us left in the middle of the move. Wilf promised they stay until finished. He also mentioned I was paying for them to wrap everything. Lastly they over charge for whats actually delivered. Had Winnipeg Moving for last move. I now truly appreciate how good they were given this experience. Id call them if planning a move.

Came home from grocery shopping and my new neighbours are moving in - great right? Not so great in reality. Sadly, as I pulled my car forward it was noticed that my partner’s vintage motorcycle had been moved. When the workers were questioned, they admitted to moving the bike and very rudely stated they had a job to do. In what world is it ever okay to move somebody’s vehicle?! Especially one that has vintage plates on it. I would never recommend this company and hope these employees are trained to not move people’s motorcycles. Beyond infuriating and so rude to top it all off. Extremely unprofessional company.

Thorough pre-move consultations. Connected at a really meaningful level. Understood the need to promote confidence in the senior being moved. Careful, courteous, and considerate of all belongings. Articulate communicative, and thorough in all aspects. Accepted additional tasks in stride and very much wanted to provide a quality service. Would solicit their services again in a heartbeat. It the cheapest mover, but you get what you pay for. If you pretend to pay people, they will pretend to work. These are worth what they charge!!

This team rocks! Brittany was an wonderful coordinator, very prompt and always checked in to see how the move was going. I used this company about a week ago for a residential move. I was being relocated for work and the other company I had booked cancelled with less than week to go before the move. Turned out to be a blessing! Quick transfer was understanding of the short time frame and was extremely accommodating. The drivers were professional and very fast. They completed the move sooner than anticipated and everything arrived safe and sound! If I ever need to move again, they will be the first company I call.

Wilf was excellent, listening to what we wanted, checking thoroughly to see what we all had to move, offering to do all the work we didn't want to do and also advising us how to save money with things we could do ourselves. The team that came out (Brian, ??oops, Justin) were great. Very careful, very hard working, kept going despite our heat wave, had to "order" them to take a cool rest break w water in our basement. He followed up multiple times and assured us of a successful office relocation. From an operational perspective Jade who lead the team of 8 movers and 3 trucks was professional and courteous. They took exceptional care of all my items. They were very careful and respectful of any concerns I had. They were amazing. They took the legs off my dining table and the sofa as well as taking apart my bed and covering the box spring and mattress (and put it all back together)! They protected my tv and tv stand. Great workers!! They had to carry my sofa up 4 flights of stairs! They were wonderful and didn’t complain. I am so grateful that they made my move very stress free!

Initially, i didn't know what to think.. sales teams says they won't take a lot of things... once i met the moving crew, i was amazed. Wilf did a Facetime consult with us in order to provide a quote. He was sincere, kind, and honest about the items that we were moving. Everything was very organised which is exactly what you want in a move. The movers came on time and treated our things with utmost care and were very careful about the walls and not leaving scratches or dents. They were so efficient and worked well together. We were done an entire house move in less than four hours!

Appreciate the concern over caring for my mother’s furniture and belongings. The crew had two brothers on it who were so efficient and hard working. The young man who was helping and organizing the move was professional but personable. We were so pleased how they handled moving my mom’s piano! Better than professional piano-only movers. They moved a small house-hold from country to City. We were pleased and the movers were above our expectations.

Being military, we move every few years, and it's always a stressful event. This year was our most stress-free move due to the crew we had. All of our belongings were packed properly, loaded carefully, and shipped without any issues from Ontario to Manitoba. The biggest perk was the driver (Chad) keeping in touch with us throughout, which is not always the case with a military move. Friendly, efficient, professionalism and very competent!!

Choosing a moving company can be a difficult decision. Being worried about the original quote changing at the last minute or the quality of the movers hired. Pretty much seem less experience from start to finish, despite having Rogers be down the entire day. We were moving boxes and furniture from our house to our new cottage an hours drive away. Wilf was great preparing beforehand: very friendly, responsive and professional. The moving guys were the same. Got the job done quickly and efficiently despite the lack of a maps app or the ability to communicate by phone. Highly recommended!

Moved two pianos from different locations to new locations. One was a Yamaha Baby Grand that had to go to the second floor. The piano was so well protected which was reassuring. The movers put mats down and kept the place looking like the found it upon arrival. Quick is very professional and their attention to detail caring for the items they are moving is remarkable.

Our entire experience with Quick Transfer was seamless, of high quality and fairly priced. Wilf was excellent to deal with to prepare for our move, and all of the movers the day of were professional, efficient and careful. We also had an heirloom piano moved without any issues. I have been unable to reach this Wilf Character to get a quote, i would like to hire them as i have seen there two man team in action but Their inability to even get back to you is frustrating beyond comprehension. So even being able to set up a quote appointment i have to give a 1 star rating. I am unable to contact after 72 Hours.

We hired them to move my mother from her house in portage la prairie to a town in northern Saskatchewan. They arrived on time and the truck was loaded in 4 hours. They were at the destination on time and unloaded in 3 hours. There was no damage to anything and they were careful to be as tidy as possible. Mark and Jack rock!

We had extreme heat and humidity during the move and the team worked so hard all day and got the move done with NO damage to any of our items. Where there is a Wilf, there is a way! Wilf helped me move a very heavy fish tank (400lb) from the sellers narrow basement into my narrow basement. He did this quick, without any scratches on the wall and most importantly without breaking the fish tank. Very friendly and professional service, highly recommend!

Used Quick Transfer as referred to us by our designers to help move and store our belongings in hike our house is being renovated. They were professional and efficient inn packing our items and wrapped all mattresses in plastic for safe handling. They needed minimal instruction and followed Covid practices.

We checked into PODS and found this was easier and cheaper as we didn't have to supply blankets or do any heavy lifting ourselves. Highly recommended.

We are a family of musicians and where we go, our piano goes. It is a large old upright piano - a challenge that requires expertise and planning. The crew from Quick Transfer were the most efficient and professional I have ever used - as well as friendly, courteous and excellent at communication!

This company is owned by extremely creepy groomers. They look for volunteers from Church then hire and pay if they need to from there. Revolving door, extremely low pay.
