I'm just going to state some facts: I purchased a washer and dryer from Lowe's. It included free installation. The sales person told me buy the hoses and flexible vent that would be needed to install them. Truck came the next day to deliver the washer and dryer. They removed our old washer and dryer, and carried the new washer down to the basement. However when they opened the dryer they realized it was damaged and notified me. There was a significant dent on the side of the dryer so I said I didn't want it. They said I would have to contact Lowe's to re-arrange delivery of the dryer. Meanwhile they had taken our old one away, so I was left without a dryer, and they did not install the washer. Tried calling Lowe's and was told I would have to wait until the dryer arrived back before they could arrange delivery of a new one. Eventually got ahold of the sales guy who sold us the washer and dryer and he said he was busy with a customer and would call me back within 15 minutes. Five hours later I still had not been called back, so I tried calling again and got ahold of a manager who said he would look into it and call me back the next day. Eventually got a hold of the sales guy who said I should have just accepted the dryer and I would have got a 20% discount. Manager called the next day (a Wednesday) and said the new dryer would be delivered Friday. I said ok. Five minutes later he called back and asked if Saturday would be ok instead, and I said sure. Friday night I was told to expect a call between 6 and 9 pm with information about the delivery on Saturday morning. Friday at 8:30 pm I still had not received a call. The store closes at 9 pm so I figure I better call and check. I get in contact with another manager and he gives a number for dispatch. I call dispatch and they say the delivery was scheduled for Friday but was not loaded and no reason was given. I call the manager back and inform him what dispatch told me. The call gets dropped because he is on a mobile phone. He does not attempt to call me back, even though he has my name and number. I call back before the store closes as it is close to 9 pm and manage to get ahold of the same manager. He says he will look into it and call me back shortly. Eventually he discovers that the delivery was entered into the system on Thursday for delivery on Friday. However Thursday was a holiday (Canada Day) and so it was too late for the delivery company to actually load it on Friday. He informs me the delivery will have to wait until Monday because they don't deliver on Sundays and it was too late again to schedule for Saturday. At this point I had to install the washer myself because we had gone for nearly a week without doing any laundry. The dryer was finally delivered on Monday but they could not install it because an elbow at the bottom of the vent was broken and they did not have parts to replace it. I purchased the elbow joint myself. I also realized that the dryer has a steam option which requires a hose to be connected, which the sales person never mentioned to me. The delivery company texted me to ask if I was satisfied with the service, so I replied "No". A representative later called me to discuss the problem, and said they would contact Lowe's to send an installer for the dryer now that I had purchased the parts myself. The next morning the installer arrived and installed the dryer. After he left, I found the hose was connected, but the rubber washers were still tied to the outside of the hose and so it was dripping water. Also the flexible vent was not cut to length - it was 8 feet long, and our installation only required about 1 foot... so the excess length was left coiled up on the floor. Had to reinstall the dryer myself.
Edit 2: 3 September 2023: You need to take a serious look at the staff that you hire. Here are my four experiences today: -The lady in charge of self checkout at 1pm today is lazy and doesn't like to work. Imagine being a customer and you are told to go walk all the way around to take a picture of a tree's barcode at the garden centre (where there is no cash register and the gate locked from the inside), with all the other goods in your cart that you want to purchase, walk all the way back to self checkout, then go again back to the garden centre to pick up the trees. She doesn't know what customer service is, nor didn't want to go through the effort of having another staff assist to pull the barcodes. I'm not the only one to experience this as an older couple came to purchase something and she told them to go find the barcode then come back to pay. The older lady insisted and the worker begrudgingly went to locate the barcode in the store with her. 0/10 customer service. Luke was amazing. He walked to the outer gate of the garden centre to the self checkout twice, with the barcodes. He helped load our car and was so thoughtful to line our trunk with plastic as well as our speakers so that nothing got damaged by the wet trees. He was so pleasant, respectful, and kind during the whole experience. 10/10 customer service. Special shoutout to the older gentlemen manning the summer clearance displays. He was so pleasant to speak with, patiently explained the prices, and has a great personality as someone facing the customer and giving them tips on placing summer patio furniture. I enjoyed speaking with him very much. The older lady at the garden centre today out watering the plants on the outer gate of the garden centre was so nice and helpful. She was the one to assist Luke with locating plastic to protect and tarp our car trunk. She was also pleasant to chat with and advised us of which plants were on sale despite the tags not being updated. 3 employees were spectacular but the one was horrible. ----- Edit 1: I do not know what is wrong with the Paint centre at Lowes. Today afternoon when asking if the one and only employee could help (no other customers around), she flatly said no, she's busy. She was the only one manning the Paint station, not on the phone yet she's too busy to give customer service?? I go to Lowes whenever I need to do a home reno but the employees at the Paint section consistently do the bare minimum in answering your questions or refusal of service like today which shocked me. Didn't end up buying anything from that section as I was turned off by how rude the female employee was. Aside from that the store is pretty organized. There seems to be a shortage of staff at times when you are looking for help to locate something but my experience with the lumber, blinds, and garden centre side has always been pleasant.
Clearly lacking good management. Did an online order for fencing supplies on May 7th. Got the email saying my order was ready for pick up May 12th. Went to pick it up May 16th, service person was nice, said wait in your car out front, we will bring it out. I sit in my car for half an hour, no one comes. I go in, the person tells me oh, sorry they couldn't find it but they found it now should be 10mins. I go out an wait another 30mins, no one comes. I go in again, the person says, oh sorry they are re-picking the order, shouldn't be much longer. I go out and wait another hour, nothing. Go back in and the person says, sorry I thought someone told you we only have some of your order, it is sitting over there in a cart, the rest will be delivered. Thankfully I'm older and realize now anger doesn't help things or it would have been ugly. I took my items and got assurance from the guy that I would be called to arrange delivery. A week goes by, no call , so I called them. Nice person says I'll look into your order and call you back. To my surprise she did call back a couple hours later and told me my order would be delivered next day. Again to my surprise the next day a truck actually showed up but was missing items. Delivery guy said the store will contact you. Waited 5 days, no call so I call them. I was put on hold and then hung up on 3 times before I said I needed to speak to a manager. He said he would look into it and a few hours later refunded me for the missing items. So if you order online from Kanata, assume you will be treated like dirt, jerked around until you demand to talk to a manager and end up with less than you ordered. I will definitely never order from Lowes / Rona again.
In general customer service in the store is professional. They are very friendly, nice and can give you professional advice. The reasons I give 3 stars: - Whenever I do price match, they don't respect their own policy and don't give extra 10% until I notice and remind about it. I have a feeling it is a store policy and it's done intentionally hoping it will work - Online order and pick up in store is not worth it when the item is in stock. It takes them couple of days to take the item from the shelve and call it ready. Other stores do it within one our. I try to save time and not look for the item on the shelve, but instead I get wasted days. I would rather go to physical store and pick the item or just shop somewhere else. I repeat again that I love customer service in the store, but those few things make me change my shopping preferences in certain scenarios. Update: 1) So checked the order online pickup in store order item, it says it should be available in 24 hours, but it wasn't. So I went today to store and it was on a shelf. It feels like someone is just lazy or doesn't really care. It easier for staff member to find the item, while for me it took a while. To be honest, I don't see good excuse not to deliver your commitment to make it ready in 24 hours. 2) Similar receipt trust issues, bought a something on clearance for 5.99, was charged 7.99, had to go back, to solve it. Small issue, but it turns out in your store I need to double check your work all the time. If I visit with kids, I will be busy and can miss those errors. This is not to blame, but to address issues so you take care of it.
Arrived 15 minutes early to pickup an online order previously confirmed as ready for pickup at 10:00 am. Started out smoothly. Staff tasked with collecting order. 15 minutes later I inquired if there was a problem. Informed that no, likely had to look in warehouse. Several minutes later staff arrive indicating that order unfound. I was informed that just because the online email said order was ready it wasn’t necessarily the case. Additional staff go to warehouse. Several minutes later learn that they are still looking. Decided to go get the stuff myself. I told the staff person that I just did not have the time to waste today. Cancelled online order. Received refund sheet. Staff informed people searching that order was canceled. Went to aisle 47 to collect the 4 items (where I also observed the same staff collecting the same items), paid, and loaded them into my car. While walking out the exit I heard my name called. Went back to customer service and was treated to a scolding. The person in charge very sternly told me that she had picked my 4 items and they were sitting in the corner. I responded that indeed I had also picked paid and loaded my items and was ready to go. If at all possible I will avoid ever using online order again.
Always would go to the other home retail store. It is refreshing to find a store that cares about customer support. We went to this store for a number home renovations including redoing our floors. Recently we decided to go here for our kitchen renovation. The ordering of the kitchen cabinets was quite involved . The sales associate Mepla was quite knowledgeable and easy to deal with.Be prepared to spend at least 10-15 hours deciding on cabinets and accessories. The only negative was that it was not fully disclosed up front how long to expect the Reno to take and someone misjudged the Christmas break. We also as part of the kitchen Reno decided to upgrade our appliances. The delivery of the appliances and cabinets was very professional and both sets of delivery personnel were respectful and polite. The kitchen cabinet tear out and install Took two days and was flawless done by countertops 2000. A day after the install of the cabinets they came to Template the counter tops. 12 days later they came to install countertops and sink.we have been very happy with the service we got with all the trades that came into Our house.with the exception of some minor paint touch up the kitchen Reno is done.we couldn’t be happier with the end result.
Went today for a curbside pick up. Arrived did the check in online. Waited 30 minutes then called and the person answering said “sorry it’s a new system and we don’t know how it works”. So why’s this an option then? The person said I’ll get it right away for you sorry for the inconvenience. I thought no problem. Another 30 minutes goes by still nothing. This entire hour I was the only one parked there. I tried calling back 3 times no answer from customer service. At this point screw it I’ll go elsewhere so I leave. I get a call about 20 minutes later saying we’re calling about your curbside order we went to bring it to you but you weren’t there. So I said no waited an hour tried calling several times but no answer so I left I’m taking my business elsewhere. What an absolute waste of my time. Why offer curbside service if clearly after a year and a half of lots of practice you can’t do it. I’ll never shop there again. If anyone does decide to use curbside bring a lunch or snack and expect to wait over an hour because I’ve now seen the other reviews and apparently this is normal for this location.
We like this store and attending the Kanata location very often. That’s why we decided to order a customized patio door replacement from here. We place an order in April and finally received it in the end of August knowing that everything is slow now and it takes some time to arrive. At the replacement time we found out that a piece of elastic stacked between glasses in one door and a big scratch on another one. We called right away to the store to claim the issue and since then (it’s a middle of December now) we hear only promises to send a request to manufacturer for replacement doors. I contacted a manager of Windows and Doors department, I spoke to the store manager, but unfortunately is nothing happening. We paid almost $3,000 for defected item and bad service. Hopefully the management will review our complaint and this issue will be resolved as soon as possible. Today I received a response regarding my complaint, recommending to call 1-800 number. I called, no help, they taking care of online orders, we ordered it in the store.
I am a senior trying to replace my BBQ. Since Lowe’s had a Save the Tax sale I went there to buy a new BBQ last Saturday. As you would expect, the store was busy and I waited almost 2 hours for a salesperson. Meanwhile, I had picked out the make and model I wanted and was able to complete my purchase in about 30 minutes. I requested and paid for it to be assembled and delivered on Thursday, May 11. It is now 5 o’clock on May 11 and it has not been delivered. When I called at 4 o’clock to enquire about the status of my delivery I was told that someone would contact me shortly! One hour later, I have heard nothing. My wife is in the hospital and I was unable to visit her because I was waiting all day for my delivery. Why was I not called to schedule a time and/or explain the delay? When I ran my business, customers were valued and kept informed. I overlooked the fact that Lowe’s was seriously understaffed during a sale on Saturday but to waste a whole day waiting for a delivery that they scheduled is totally unacceptable!
Had the paint dept match a Benny Moore colour for me a couple of weeks ago. The man at the counter was very nice and was able to match it. I went back this Monday (around 11:30 AM) for a 2nd gallon (I knew I'd be cutting it close with only 1.....). I had the sticker (a picture of it on my phone) from the first gallon, the lady didn't even want to look at it. She asked the name of the colour, so I told her. She asked how to spell the colour 3 times, so I offered the sticker a 2nd time. She said no. I know better than to blindly take paint without checking. I continued painting, the shade was off a bit but I know it dries a bit darker. Nope, totally wrong shade and it's really noticeable. Meaning I'm repainting 2 walls tomorrow because of it. The paint dept at Lowes is hit and miss most of the time. Last summer I waited 15 min for someone to show up. I'm pretty sure the person who did was a manager, he was really nice, but never once apologized for the wait time. Suffice it to say I'll be going back to BM from now on.
On August 26, 2023, at Lowes Kanata, I went to pay to self checkout. I went directly to the cashier, as at previous self-checkout it took me 5 atempts to get the payment through. The cashier was not busy, chatting with two customers. When I greeted the cashier and explained that I want to pay to her by CC, she responded: "If you want to". Then she told me, that I am expected to pay at self-checkout with credit card and her counter is for cash payments only. I explained my previous negative experience with the the previous-day self checkout procedure, she reiterated that her station is for cash payments only. Then she, with obvious disdain, proceeded to process my CC payment. I was so shocked by her attitude, that I said that I will not come to Lowe's until the banner changes to Rona and employees get proper training. She responded with something like OK and I left. Her employee number, as per receipt, is 2668665.
A waste of time. And I couldn't even spend my money. I purchased a window in the store, put it in my truck and went to their garden centre to buy a deck box. The customer in front of me wanted to return something, at the garden centre. With no receipt. When the cashier called for help, he should have been advised to direct the customer to the return desk. Instead he was left hanging. I really wanted this deck box, but after 25 minutes I had to leave. This is a stressful position for an employee. He received zero support. Not one manager came to check on him. This is how you have a high turn over with staff. No support. Shame in management. No employee support and poor customer service.
Went to return a shower head and I had lost my bill. I had the amount I paid on my bank account. No, sorry you only get the lowest price in the last 6 months $60 when I paid $92. I asked where is this policy surely it’s at the checkout so you know to hold onto your bill. No, it’s on a poster on the wall in fine print posted in Returns. So I demanded to see a Manager. The clerk went in the back and came back and said he would give me a full refund on a store credit. He threw a credit card at me and turned to the next customer. I only got $80 back but I wasn’t going to push any further. I used to like Loews but they have lost me and anyone I can talk to as a customer. Just terrible.
A little awkward and room for improvement (get it!?). Crazy overflowing cart return which could roll away and damage vehicles + take up spaces close to the front. I couldn't hear the cashier at all unless I nearly stuck my head thru the cash hole. Couldn't see the screen of the card tender neither, and the cashier had to tell me what to press (it was on her side of the covid barrier and seemed to be a common issue). However, this store is one of my go-tos. They always carry the same type of garden stone which I regularly need to buy, and they have a decent selection. I also have to assue they were just having a busy day but I hope the manager appreciates my criticism either way.
Casher and then Lowe’s Store Manager rejected to gave Energy Star discount that they ADVERTISED on Energy Star Tankless Water Heater because it was not in some “internal” Lowe's Energy Star lists. When tried to dig into the Energy Star problem at Lowe's, then found that they have only ONE single Energy Star Tankless Water Heater in such list that is NOT AVAILABLE in ANY Lowe's stores in Canada, it is even impossible to buy it Online. When I ask for written explanation from Lowe’s Store Manager that they cannot honor Energy Star discount to Energy Star Tankless Water Heater available in store, the Lowe’s Store Manager just told me to go out of the store immediately…
Had an extremely poor experience with their installation services. Had tiling in small hallway and front entrance done. Grout and loose tile very soon after. A repair of the grout was completed…few months later the grouting and loose tiles reappeared. CoVid hit and contractors were not permitted to enter homes. Once reopening was permitted Loews stated the warranty was up and that issue was not their installation. The issue was the whole job would need to be redone and the cost to Loews would be greater than an unhappy customer. Will not go to this Kanata store ever again for anything. Do not use installation services for home renovations.
Price match policy is garbage. Tried to price match a dewalt jobsite blower. They wouldn't price match because they said that if competitors with the sale are more then 25km away or out of stock they won't price match, which is ridiculous. You might think they would want to make customers happy and shop more at the store by actually giving better prices but they would rather charge you more for the same product when competitors run out or are out of this small distance of 25km. Home depot price matches if you can find a competitor with a physical store, regardless of distance. I'll be taking my business to home depot from now on.
I had a great experience with Lowe's duct cleaning service! The gentleman was on time, very pleasant and efficient. He offered me some good advice about maintaining the ducts, and provided a complimentary furnace filter clean. All in all the service was wonderful! Also, very very cost effective for the amount of work done. The garden centre at Lowe's Kanata is phenomenal! So much selection and the plants are very healthy because staff is constantly caring for them. I have bought annuals, perennials, shrubs, bulbs, herbs and vegetables there and every single one flourishes. One of the best in the area.
HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND - terrible online shopping experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed an online order for 2 light fixtures. I received 2 other items that were completely the wrong thing. Opened a case online, never heard back from anyone. Used chat function - was told that I would need to send wrong items back and would be at least 1-2 weeks for a shipping slip. If I want the correct items I'll need to place another order. What kind of customer service is this? Home Depot same thing happened and heard from someone that day, kept the wrong item and got a full refund.
One lady seemed extremely annoyed we asked for help but when directed to the right service/area we found help and the two gentlemen good customer service. We purchased a bathroom vanity, bath tub and mirror. The bath tub ended up being cracked when we got it home so we called and they were good to deal with and we will return it for a new one. We live an hour away from ottawa so this is a bit of a pain but luckily they were kind so it made the situation better even though it’s still frustrating. We will likely go back to purchase more items as they have a large selection.
I had the pleasure of encountering Heather during my recent visit. Heather went above and beyond to make my shopping experience incredibly enjoyable. Thanks to their exceptional assistance, I left the store not only with the product I needed but also with a smile on my face. Heather’s dedication to providing outstanding customer service is truly commendable and sets a shining example for others in the industry. Their friendly demeanor, product expertise, and genuine care for customers make them an asset to the store. Thanks Heather and Lowe's!
As a contractor I have been shopping here for quite many years. Commercial desk guys are the best. Other staff is great as well. Probably the only reason i still with Lowes. I had several problems with 2 chainsaws, missing lumber when delivered but the management did not resolve any of these problems. Right from memory approx. 700$ losses because of the mentioned issues. Why i gave 5 stars? . Only because i can see Ryan, Phil, Mehmet and other commercial desk guys working there with really helpful and supportive customer service.
Awesome Customer Service, their Employees knowledgable in everything I have ever needed help with, if one doesn't know they have another step in! Installing plumbing, electrical, home renovations, paint & painting, re-drilling a chair (incorrectly bored holes) & to installing the part to finish screwing together in assembling them, insulating windows for winter / summer. Which glue or adhesive to use, bug & yard spray, lawn & garden ANYTHING! Washers & parts for toilet & sinks..etc. they are the BEST ❣ beginning to end,
Understaffed. Price match policy is dumb. (Edit: I now understand why for the 1$ rule but it should be waived on items less than 50$ or something) Staff covering aren't trained in the depts they're covering due to staffing challenges. These are all corporate issues. The staff at this store are great, but the corporate system has failed them completely. I feel bad for them. Lowes will never be my primary home improvement store until their corporate structure supports the store-level staff better.
Despicable weekend staff! I have never seen people put so much effort into not doing their job! 20 minutes in the store and can't find anyone to help or cut wood! There were only 2 customers in the entire store, and I was one of those customers! Left empty handed because no staff would help except for one nice lady who called for help over the loud speaker, but no one ever came! I won't be shopping at this store ever again because of their incredibly poor customer service!
We are building a new home and required new appliances. We have been working with Jill over the last few months while our home is being completed. She has always been available, extremely responsive and completely dedicated in making our experience as wonderful as possible. She has answered all our questions, secured promotions to help save money where we can and made solid recommendations without any pressure. Well done and thank you Jill (in appliances).
Cannot praise them enough. I have had terrible luck for years at all 4 home depot locations across town. But every time I go to this location I get what I need . Expert , informed service and communication explaining what the process is going to be. We have bought 4 large appliances from here and have now set up to get a storm door replaced. I tried to give the big orange box store my money but they cant even get it together enough to take it lol.
Terrible service on the blinds aisle 7 at Kanata. My husband and I have been trying to buy some Levolor blinds, which we needed them to cut, and we’ve been going several times to lowes (3 minimum) and either there is no one to cut the blinds which is what they usually say, or they are busy. Today we finally got our blinds cut, and it was only possible after 40min of wait, and myself insisting the sales rep who was too busy to help us.
Staff doesn't know new POS system and refuses to take payment for contractor cards. After driving back and fourth to the store and the bank multiple times, more money has been spent trying to rectify the issue then what is owed. Should probably have staff properly trained and in the loop for such a major business change. Lots of other companies in the area that are a lot more contractor friendly. This place is going downhill.
Shopped in the Garden Center for some Lyme for my cedar trees as they need some help! I couldn't find any so I asked an associate and he took me right to it. There were lots of staff around to help. Picked up a few other items I needed then checked out. It was quick and friendly staff. And it was busy!! Lowe's is a great home improvement store. I can always find what I am looking for.
I’ve been to the new Rona+ four or five times since they took over, and I’m pleasantly surprised at the smooth transition. The staff have been experienced and helpful. I had no problem finding the products I needed. I’ve made returns three times, either for failed LED bulbs, or for products I bought in error. In each case the return process was handled by knowledgeable staff. Overall, I’m fully satisfied.
In visited here to pick up materials for work and a tool bag for myself. The materials was dealt with slowly at the checkout, but they got the job done. I wanted to price match the bag and this was the reason for going here. It was like pulling teeth, I ended up leaving without the bag as I didn't have time for them to dismiss the ads and pictures from the manufacturer that I provided.
Updated from 5 stars to 1 star. I've been spending money at this store since they’ve opened. Lots of it during renovations and annually on all of my hardware, decor and plant needs. This was my go to store. Today ended my loyalty…the Customer Service Rep at returns (Susan) was the most scowl faced, unhelpful, unsympathetic, hostile woman I’ve ever met. I will NEVER shop here again.
It was nice to know which aisles I needed to go to when shopping. A quick check online gave me that information. People were spaced apart and were polite. The staff were helpful. The staff were super helpful still. The van rental was a pain in the butt because I had to go out and put $2.65 of gas in it before returning with the receipt. Just fill it up on your way back: far easier!
We were going in for a bathroom cabinet, and Patrick was knowledgeable and answered our questions with a smile. Lots of choices for gazebo and good prices on microwave, which we need. My husband goes to this place every week. For appliances, you currently have a match the price, and if you find lower, you show them, and they give you an additional 10% off.
My go to place in Stittsville for home projects. The place is huge and offers everything that you need for your house projects. Lowes Home Improvement branch in stittsville is located on Hazeldean road and can be easily accessed by public transportation. Get all you need from this store. Sign up for Rona card and get min 5%discount on your total bill.
The only reason I still visit this store is because it's closer to my place. But almost everytime I've been here, I've spent more time than I would had going further to Home depot. The staff doesn't know anything related to handy work, the cashiers don't know how to price match, prices are mostly different in store compared to their own website.
The customer service was good. However. I did not like that it's self checkout, I could not enter the quantity and number for the bolts and nuts that I was purchasing. This should be an easy thing for someone going through self checkout to be able to do. Instead I had to call over an attendant to help with something that is perfectly simple.
I ordered a piece of lawn equipment and they advised me that it was delivered upside down. Someone called me as advised that it wasn’t in condition to deliver. We agreed on a new time of delivery and no one came, no one called. Now I can’t reach anyone about my order. It’s no wonder why everyone is now shopping at Amazon. Poor place to shop.
Stood waiting at the hardware service desk for 45 minutes to get keys cut, asked multiple employees for help and nobody seemed to be able to do that, and when someone finally did come to the service desk they helped the people waiting after me. At the end I did not get my keys cut and will now have to go somewhere else with better service.
I'm doing a bathroom Reno. Last few times I came in for pipe fittings, the item I need is always missing. The website always claims theyre in stock. I spend 20-30 minutes waiting for an employee to try and find the item everytime. Last time I waited 25 min just to find out they didn't have what I needed. Going to home Depot from now on.
We had great service from Yuri in the appliances department. We ordered our Whirlpool dishwasher on a Sunday, and it was delivered and then installed within 3 days. Yuri was great about explaining everything about delivery, installation, extended warranty, etc. All who were involved with delivery and installation were wonderful too.
Usually very pleasant experience because I know what I need but today I came in to ask about what can be done about a vinyl flooring piece that was separating. The person at the flooring section just said nothing can be done and just stared at me. I think he was just trying to get rid of me and purposely trying to be unhelpful.
Impressively bad shopping experience. Place is deserted and it took about 15 minutes to get an associate to the paint desk. Once there she knew a little less than nothing. Left half an hour after I arrived. Ended up buying nothing (due to nobody being able to help find paint colours). I will go to Rona and get the paint there.
Dave in the flooring department was super helpful and knowledgeable about the type of flooring we were interested in - luxury vinyl plank. Suggested a great underlay that despite being a floating floor feels very stable. We used Lowe's installation services as well and are very happy with the company they contracted to do it.
Product bar code was missing, cashier told me to go get another one. It was on the furthest side of the store. I went and got it and she rang me out didn't even offer me a bag. Closed her till and went on break. Edit: yes of course I'll give you another chance. You are usually a great place to shop.
I prefer this store over the Home Depot. Most of the store associates are responsible and friendly. David is an excellent store manager there. However, a couple of them have an unacceptable attitude, including their unqualified team lead Janson. Mr. Janson, please learn from your colleague David.
Really nice Lowe's with quite a large selection. Staff were really helpful and we've ended up returning to buy a large appliance from them. Delivery was great and everything was as advertised. They even worked harder to get a better price. A plus that it's easy to get to even on a busy day.
Better than Home Depot in my opinion looks a lot nicer and has a better layout. Home Depot looks the same as it did 20 years ago. Can get pretty much the exact same things at Lowes. Also it's not to crowded, so can browse a little easier. They have a big garden center in the summer too.
Picked up a privacy screen. The counter staff extremely polite. The lady who served me was excellent. Very attentive and reminded the person who went to retrieve my product to bring back a cart. While waiting 3 other staff members who walked by inquired if I needed assistance.
So far there are not many changes from when it was Lowe's. I did see a "new" make of workshop tools that is a well known German company that produces good quality tools. I will check those out next time I am there. We'll have to see how they work out over the next few months.
Very bad customer service. Placed a very simple and small 3 items order 4 days ago. Still processing today. All items are listed in store. They are hiding behind the "large number of orders". I am sure Home Depot has more orders. The difference is that they want to work.
Lost a receipt that I needed here, so I came back to try and get it figured out. The first cashier I spoke to was unable to help me but Finlay took it above and beyond and spent the time searching for the record. We found it after about 10 minutes. Thank you Finlay!
There store needs some love when it comes to stock. I was there twice over 3 days and no one even looked at restocking so I took a picture, I had to go to Home Depot. This was Huntclub location. I still prefer Lowes they just need to get there act together.
Good prices. Didn't have any clearance blueberry bushes when I last went. That's my bad though. Helpful staff. Bought patio tiles once and the older fellow was ready to help me load like all 100 of them. Is like, nah man. I got this. Good on him though.
Went to Lowe’s on Hazledean rd this morning to pick up some supplies for an art project I’m working on. Steve helped me out and thank you so much Steve because I wasn’t sure how it was all going to work. Great place and great staff willing to help.
Poor customer service. Do not answer calls or calls are being dropped as soon as they get transferred to another person. My online order is missing some items, and rather than waiting for it to arrive they cancelled it without letting me know.
Friendly, helpful staff. The product we wanted was in a shelf with other very similar products, in very similar packaging (plain box with picture on one side). Imagine it was customers who mixed up the products, but it would be nice if the
Was looking for some specialty woods for a project and found some perfect red oak. Supplies is abundant. Lots of different craftsmenship wood and a lot of it! Really nice live edge wood for relativly cheap! More selection than home depot!
Went passed self scan because I had cash. As I am talking to cashier, 2 employees are 10 feet away talking and one looks at me, I can hear mumbling and know they are talking about me. (One of the women a few months ago insisted that I go
I understand that the times are what they are. It took over a week from the time I ordered a light fixture (of which there was over 20 in stock according to the website) for me to receive an email that it was ready to pick up. Just feel
Do not recommend for curbside pickup. Ordered single item (can of primer) that was in stock, took 4 days to get notification for pickup. Once there, waited 45 minutes for can to be brought to the vehicle. I opened my hatch to minimize
Visited garden center today. Looking for polymer sand for interlock pavers. Lots of staff, none looking to assist but I asked 4 individuals to locate the 540 bags the website said they had. Not one knew what I was talking about, even
If I could give a 10 star rating for service at this Kanata Lowe's location I definitely would !!! I was looking at interior wood stain and Jessica from paint was amazing - offering to show me the look/colour on a paint stick. Then
Good place for all home renovations. Basically very similar to home Depot I find. Though home Depot staff on average have been more knowledgeable in their area. Sometimes they have some size pieces of wood that home Depot didn't
Not too busy. Everyone wearing masks. Ample room to keep social distancing. Hand sanitizer at entrance. Lovely Christmas displays. Helpful, friendly paint counter and cashiers. Proud to support LOWE'S instead of Home Depot!
Great store great clearance items right now. I was in the store Thursday early evening. But I believe one of the cashiers was drunk. I could smell the booze off of him and his eyes were bloodshot red. Kinda interesting.
We went to this Lowes to pick up a patio set and met with Patrick in seasonal. He was so helpful engaging and social. It was an overall great experience and he went above and beyond to help us out.
Went here looking for laminate flooring after visiting Home Depot. Much better selection, and the flooring associates were available and eager to help. Found what we wanted, in and out in 20mins.
Excellent service while buying a generator. The Gentleman that helped us was super friendly. He helped us take it to cash, and to our car. This will be my first stop for any house needs
Just came back from buying wood at Lowes Kanata (Sunday August 20). Awesome service, advice and help. They also did a great job with the cut we needed. Highly recommend that department.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I went to get a piece of 2" EMT conduit and looked through all of them. I found all of them have been returned, had paint and rust all over them.
Terrible place. Customer service workers are rude and not willing to help. They don’t know exchange or return Laws of Canada. I wish I can give zero star. Terrible terrible service.
Liam helped me out with plumbing questions. He was extremely patient and kind with all my questions. I will definitely be back if customer service continues like this. Thanks Liam!
Usually have a fast and efficient customer service, but this lovely had issues for return and there was long line for return! And took me 30min to return something new! …
Assistant store manager Dave is an absolute gem!! Extremely helpful and friendly and made the shopping experience fantastic when we picked up our new patio set
Very nice and helpful staff. Many of them are even knowledgeable about construction, piping, … They always have whatever I need usually for a reasonable price.
Went there to pickup a couple cans of paint that non of the other stores (colours of paint) had. We phoned to have them put aside for us.
Store is well organized and staff are knowledgeable. I was able to get the right type of concrete screw and dry wall mesh quickly!
Went to this store a few times since we moved to the Stittsville area - it’s definitely not the best store.
Horrible Online shopping Did an online order. They took my payment right away,.took 5 weeks to get my
Good place for regular household items, paints, electricals, May try the appliances too,
I love the garden center, and the employees are happy to help and are very sweet!
My partner and I were in a debate if Lowes had a key machine. They did …
Got our windows at 50$ less for each one compared to Home Depot
Good visit staff really helpful. Steps ahead of Home Depot!
The Absolute best garden centre in the city in my opinion.
Great service, answers questions and easy to find help.
Good it’s back to Rona, I will probably go more often
