The Genessey complex is a great park in it totality. That is everything from Rainier Ave S to the boathouse on Lake Washington.
Playground
Can't tell of the playground but it looks functional. I walk my dog by it and use the restroom located near it. I don't see many kids using it.
Restrooms
The men's restrooms at at Genessey aren't pleasant. Those by the soccer fields are closed and porta potties seem to have permanently replaced them. The one by the playground is uncomfortable to say the least and still after all this time as feces from an accident at least 2 years ago. Disgusting.
Dog-friendliness
Genesee is a great place to walk, play with, and socialize any dog. My dog and I walk nearly a mile by Street to the dog park and mostly at least one way walk the green belt from Mount Baker park to Genesee. We spend pretty much the day at the dog park and walking the trails. The park is stimulating it is so many different aspects from playfields, to the dog park and sports fields. The sites, the sounds and the smells are a smorgasbord of stimulus for my dog.
Picnic area
It looks like a great place to have a family event. My dog and I pause there when it's unoccupied for water and a short rest.

Good playground which has and serviceable baseball fields. The bathrooms are often pretty gross - the toilets are metal and most of them don't have seat covers. The basketball court is nice and has metal bleachers for watching games. Ezell's Chicken is just across the street, as is Walgreens, if you need to pick up some snacks or drinks while at the park. PCC and Empire Espresso are a short walk away if you need coffee while at the playfield.

08/12/23: what a beautiful and sunny day at this park! It has plenty of play fields for tennis, basketball, pickleball, and baseball. The park is clean and well maintained. I see everyone love coming back to this park and so do I. I enjoyed the kids playground though I am an adult now haha

Had a lot of fun taking nephew and nieces over there plenty of places to play playground for little kids basketball court for adults also a tennis court to actually bathrooms plenty of places to play baseball so it was a great experience as always been coming in for many years.

I've always enjoyed this park. I would come here as a kid. My kids enjoy it now as well. Definitely a lot of changes since I was younger. Parks usually receive uplifts when other nationalities besides Blacks go there...in my opinion. Anywho...it's all good...

I remember when the Rainier Community Center was actually on the field, and Music Inner City use to play music from there on the late nights to the public access channel. The neighborhood changed so much from the 90's...hope I'm not getting old... LMAO!!!

Decent size community park with baseball fields, a playground, basketball courts and tennis courts. There are public restrooms as well. Across the street is the Rainier community center. Feels like a good place for the community to gather and have fun.

Great park. Large playground with updated equipment. A few picnic tables, grills, tennis courts, three baseball fields. Walgreens, ezells, dominoes pizza all within walking distance. Street parking can be hard to find on busy sunny weekends.

Such a great park. It has three baseball fields, two full size basketball courts, four tennis courts, a huge grassy field, and a fantastic playground for the little ones. It also has a small area with picnic tables and a couple of grills.

Full basketball court, soccer field, and baseball field. New running track, tennis l and a volleyball court. Restrooms on site. Newly renovated with new night lights. Right next to school so children really enjoy this park.

Excellent park, baseball, large field. Basketball. Play ground. Restrooms. And great nearby food. And close to Lake Washington Hydroplane pits. And picnic tables with BBQ grills.

Large playfield with a variety of equipment and is very active. my one issue is the tennis courts have unsmooth parts that causes the ball to bounce off but overall pretty good

There is a kids play gym and swings, naval or football fields,and 2 basketball courts that have a non skid cover that makes it safe to play when it's a little wet out.

A really nice and quiet field to set up for grass volleyball. Perfect for doggies to run around. There are also restrooms and water fountains available.

They're really clean this place up. it's a great place to play basketball and take your kids at the same time. Not so much nonsense like it used to be.

Only stopped by to sit out in the sun to have lunch. Not a lot of shaded areas. Has baseball field, small BBQ area with bench seating. No restrooms.

Nice place in the daytime but DANGEROUS at night, drugs found near the bathroom and city refuses to help these people find a safer place.

Baseball Fields are taken care of so nicely. Concession stand is well stocked with friendly help. Playground is a lot of fun.

Love the new remodel. The park is both fun, and safe. Grew up at this park and I love the new vibe when taking my nephews.

The kids have baseball games here and the fields are in good shape. The play structures keep our other kids busy as well.
