My first car from this place came with nearly empty tank!- which never happened in any other car rental. When I pointed it out- the reply was “ must have forgotten”- and was told to go and fill it up myself- so I did, (struggled to get to nearest petrol station, gauge was on red...:( Last week I rented another car - Hyindai Gertz -driver’s seat was not adjustable() the tank was 3/4 full. I returned it with over quoter tank full and Jeremy said he will charge me $45 for the petrol for next customer! So I went and filled it up myself...( I would have done anyway- but was running late from my Covid jab). Which begs the question- if they charge you for the petrol - but “forget” to fill the tank for the next customer( as I experienced!) -what is the charge for??

I rented 2005 ford focus around 5 months ago and it was in horrible shape no fault from the owners Rent a bomb, previously to that around 6 months this same car was in perfect shape think people just abuse these cars, I my self have been renting from Rent a bomb for over 5 years treated there cars like they were my own, which in all honesty you should anyways but not everyone shares the same approach to renting Steve the owner and Tom have been patient with me at times, but I want to point out that its not completely the fault of Rent a bomb in the way the car comes back people should respect these cars as they were there own

Great service from the very first enquiry call. Unfortunately the car we hired broke down but that can be expected with a car of its age etc. The team here did absolutely everything in their power to avoid as much disruption to us as possible, they collected the car and arranged a replacement straight away and offered to extend the hire period free of charge if we needed. Honestly, one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. We appreciate everything and highly recommend your services.

I have good memories 30+ years ago but now not worth to use this place. 45 dollars a day bomb. 8 years old HD Accent 110000+ km Small hatch 70 dollars a day 150km only 18c per every km extra. Right front wheel guard been broken by someone hit front bumper but they screwed with timber nails and didn't notice me. Insurance access fee 3500 dollars. Better to use named rental car company.

I've only ever rented cars from Oakleigh Rent a Bomb. Steve and the rest of the guys there are awesome. They always look after me do their best to get the car, ute or van I need at the time and are extremely professional. Very reasonable rates, never had a problem with any of the cars I've hired and they're overall so easy to deal with. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Worst place you can imagine to rent a car. Toi better go anywhere else. First of all their car is not reliable and could be dangerous for you. The gear is faulty, the engine is dreadly noisy. Secondly they will find many things to charge you extra money and lie to your nose with no shame ! You better spend just a lil more but avoid all this trouble. I will never come again.

Cheap and reliable car rental! I rent a hyundai sedan this new year for AUD 60/day + AUD 15/day to decrease my liability fo any accident that may happened. Make sure you bring your international driver license or have your overseas driver license translated by any NAATI approved translator. Also bring along your credit card. As they charge your card for the deposits.

The staff were helpful, respectful and polite but unfortunately the brakes failed on the day I hired it. I was shocked and very upset with the realisation that the car was unsafe to drive and I could have had an accident or hit pedestrians. The car was replaced but it will be a while before I get over the anxiety I have driving the third of their cars.

Simon and his team have always been very kind and accommodating. They always manage to provide the type of car I need and arrange for me to keep it longer if I require. They are very friendly staff and always know I will be well looked after when I contact them for a car to rent.

I rent a car from the Oakleigh site every year for Christmas and I've always been satisfied with the car I received AND the customer service I get. The vehicles are great value and look and smell clean. I'll be returning every year until I have a car of my own.

Car was so bad cheapest at $28 a day. I hired car in total for 1 month 2 weeks. Customers service especially from 2 specific males were very rude when I started asking questions! Reputation poor class Will never use their service again!

The people that work at Oakleigh are friendly, professional, very approachable, and always accommodate my requests for car hire. It is always a pleasure to see staff. The rates are very affordable, and also suit my needs. Thank you :)

I would strongly advise people to stay away form this place. They will literally put a bomb in your pocket and cause you irreparable damage. Incompetent staff!!! Renting a car from them has been the worst decision in my life!

Don't rent with these people. They charge you a cancellation fee of 100 bucks. I rented out a vehicle but got sick. Gave them 48 hour notice but still took my money and refused to give a refund. Absolutely terrible

Been herea few times when had car problems to rent a car ..any problems with the cars i take em back &they fix on the spot ...very helpfull . Hard to get out at times as in very busy area on warrigal rd .

Disappointing. Was rented a car with only 1 headlight working. Horn did not work. Vehicle unroadworthy. Advised of the issues when returning the car and got a grab bag of excuses, and no apology.

Staff great. No credit card needed; cash was accepted as bond even better. and moved house quick and easy. Would use this office again if needed.

After my car broke down I needed something for the weekend. Easy to book and no issues with the car, good option if you don't want to spend alot

I needed a van and they could provide one at a good day rate. No fuss seeing it all up and picking up. Job done now and another happy customer.
