Retail Crossing is a massive shopping center it’s is a great mall in the west of Johannesburg area it’s a Great place to shop around right on the side of Hendrik potgieter road with all the shops you need from all different restaurants to suite all tastes and all kind of foods like McDonald’s,Jonsson workwear, Mr price a large clothes and home store, super spar supermarket, sportsman’s warehouse, baby city, Levi’s Strauss clothing store, Lotters pine furnitures, Virgin Active gym, Mozambik and Adega sea food restaurants, the Irish rock little falls restaurant, United Furnitures. a large free parkings are available with good security. It’s a must visit when you’re in Roodepoort area.
Great centre, however, Cotton On has the worst customer service ever. I have experienced disrespect on multiple occasions and the staff are simply not happy to be there and they will let you know. Apart from MANY other examples - When I was returning an item, I was rudely asked “why did you take the tag off?” I was then told “next time don’t take the tag off because no one wants to buy the item anymore.” Sorry, from now on I’ll keep all my tags on my clothing, forever, hopefully they’ll make it through the wash.
Wide variety if shops as you would find in a mall. They only have a wimpy and McDonalds for sit down and takeaway food. Then Shoes, clothes, home, pharmaceutical, pet, baby, toys and sporting shops. Not really any tech and electronics. Parking is good except when you need to get out then the flow is not always nice as you tend to wait a good 5 mins to get out. Parking is also free but it is advised to atleast keep some change on you to support the car watch guys as they are really helpful and friendly.
Love the range of MRP HOME here. But dangerous area as I got pickpocketed of my cellphone in this MRP. Had a terrible experience at HUB. The manager was very rude and wanted my baby to wear a face mask even though it's against the law and chased us out of the store, even though we had loads of clothes we were about to buy. He wanted to take pics of the small ones not wearing masks and when we asked for his surname to complain against him, he refused to give it to us and was very nasty.
Do not use any of the lifts at the center. I did l, and the lift just dropped from the first floor to the ground floor. I tried to notify the center and Devan Le Roux just shouted at me over the phone. They called store around the lift, to say that a woman claims that the lift fell with her in it. Well every store told them it was bound to happen. Now I am inserve pain and running a fever. I can't afford to go to hospital. They simplydo care..
Lots of Name brand shops that supposedly sell their stock at marked down prices, that's not the case with all the stores, some are just as expensive as going to the mall. The difference is the Mall has aircon. If you are looking for a bargain, you may be disappointed. And Boy! Is it hot! The Parking lot is vast and since they chopped all the trees down, both you and your car bake in the midday sun, a terrible place to shop in summer.
This is a great centre as you can find bargains here on toys, clothes and sports products that you won't necessarily get at your local mall. It's pretty spread out though so check Google maps to find parking closest to the stores you want to visit before you hit the road. Also remember that there is only one bathroom in the corner behind the spar so plan your shopping accordingly especially when visiting with young kids.
The only problem is you are guilted into paying 3 parking attendant fees. You go to hub and pay there. You go to dischem pay there. Go to mr price sport another 5. Then across to lifestyle another 5. Then off to Leroy Merlin an decathlon another 5. Pop into pick n pay on your way home. R5. So in one day its r30 x 3 times a week = 90 x 4x a month.r360 x12 months r4320 per year. And petrol stsation attendants?? Any ideas?
Very nice shopping center, good parking though gaining access through the main road is always annoying as it shares access with another mall. The Spar is very nice and the have a good bakery. The Cycle shop on the corner is massively over priced though. There is a Red Gym that seems to not be too busy and I think it would be good to join (no wait times). The Mr Price Home / Sport is awesome and have a great selection.
Here you find a super huge superspar and a dischem the size of like hugeeee. there is a virgin active, absa and std bank atms, a nice pet store with a large selection of fish. there is a wimpy with a little play area, a coffee shop and a hugeeeee toy shop on the premises. i think there is still and Adega portuguese restaurant and The hub. parking is endless. the place is just great for sunday or saturday shopping
Nice, but please do something about the entrance in Nic Diederics... Many accidents when turning right coming from HP and soooo congested at the one circle at peak times. Nobody knows how to drive around this one simple circle and access to the centre is a nightmare - whoever plans for these centres needs proper thought and homework, but let's see if you can do anything from here?
All the shops there are honestly some of the best shops around. You an't go wrong shopping here. The centre also has fast food and great restaurants in it. If u need toys, clothes, a nice meal, or a few medical items then this shopping centre is the place to do all that! If you are near this place stop by and shop or even take a close look at what they offer.
We are very disappointed with Dischem there. We can phone when our medicines are coming up for renewal. Ha you can never get a phone answered there. Today we went there to order, 5hrs delay, and we could hear phones ringing not being answered. They either need a switchboard or more staff. Other customers were saying they also cannot get them on the phone.
COTTON ON! I have never in my life experienced such bad service. I stood from of the que for more than 10 minutes while one till worker was busy chatting away with a customer instead of helping people who want to pay. I will never support this store again. And the attitude was disgraceful telling me they can't help me in any way they are busy TALKING
Has, a good selection of stores. The parking can get really full on the weekend (Especially at the end of the month). Recently received a security upgrade, so the area is sure to be safe. Has a Mc D's at the opposite end of the centre. Next to the Spar is the Mr. Price, which is easy to see from the road going to Clearwater.
I get best of both shopping centre on the other side I am able to buy fresh vegetables and fruits. On the other side you get your pharmacies, clothing stores, grocery shopping, home decor, sport wear and resturants. It's a good place to get what you need, clean and they follow covid regulations.
Safe parking with carguard private company and alot of free parking alot of different shops open till late afternoon there is public toilets shops for mother and baby toy shop for kids and older shops for home maker and coporate sit down restaurant and drive thru happiness for every person
The key shops here are Spar and Dischem. But they're are quite a few others like Mr Price Home, Sportsmans Warehouse, PEP, Baby City, Virginia Active Red, Wimpy, Outdoor Warehouse, Matrix, the Cattle Baron, Adega, McDonalds, etc. There's plenty of parking including underground parking.
Centre management and it's tenants clearly don't care about the residents in the community and are happy to be noisy at ridiculous hours!!! Disgusting 1am and your pathetic tenants makes a noise again!!!! Pretending like you don't know who it is and don't do anything about it, useless
Very good.. I often go to the spar, and go eat at the wimpy, wimpu's food has let me down once, but after that all good. Love the breakfast burgers.. The spar has great customer service in my experience . Great food. Great range of products.. Quees aren't too long either
There is a significant amount of crime in this area, with multiple incidents of attempted car theft involving family members. The management is unresponsive and tends to accuse individuals of fraud. Additionally, the parking near Spar poses a safety hazard.
This is a shopping centre with a hint of surprise. I live primarily in Dubai so I’m used to a lot of pizazz in shopping. But the Spar offers something different. Real Beds service is second to none and browsing Mr Price for goodies is a pleasing experience.
Very friendly and helpful Staff members at Spar and Dischem.Even the car guards are nice The place is often not crowded, which is a bonus considering that Covid-19 is still rampant. It would be greatly appreciated if they were to revamp the Toilets.
Tried to go use the bathroom.... only 2 in the entire mall on opposites sides.... cleaning ladies literally flooded the bathrooms to wash the floors so you can't go in and when you call them they totally ignore you and act like they know nothing.
A shopping centre that answers the call when searching for convenience. With a variety of great shops, fast food and restaurants, you can find almost anything you need here and for daily shopping, groceries, lifestyle and home requirements.
Visited the woolworths outlet for the 1st time and all I can say is WOW !! I found ingredients there that I could only find in speciality shops. Will shop there from now on! The only gripe was that there were not enough tellers.
no parking for the elderly pick and pay have parking for elderly people near the entrance please think about us because u don't see our problem we have to carry heavy packets i am not disable but battle to walk thank u Mrs Smith
Safe and convenient shopping. Stores include Super Spar, MrP Active, Dischem, Guess, Puma, Adidas, Toyzone, Cotton On, Hub. Places to eat include Wimpy, Cafe Fino and Adega. Adega has an outside play area and Sunday boufet.
Visit the Wimpy and what a wow to be served by a great waiter friendly and super excited to serve you in your language. Big thumbs up Food made to perfection!!! And i can be very quick to complain. Well dine to the staff.
Retail crossing is Ummm retail crossing. Has alot of shops, I think everything your needs require. Yeah so no problem with Retail crossing. They should actually make a crossing to go from the one side to the other side!
Always convenient. Dischem services there are awesome. Pep also convenient with a lot that one needs for the family. The spar is refreshing. Tekkie town always good sneakers and good prices. Just an easy in and out.
Really nice shopping complex... The stores are big and have a variety of different stock. It's not too busy so the shopping experience is rather a pleasure. The parking is good and has adequate security everywhere.
convenient one stop where you can dine and cater take aways like Mc Donald and Wimpys. buy groceries, medicines, clothings and home furnishings. hair and nail salon. pet shop. spacious, safe and good parking.
Toilets is disgusting. You can't breathe in there it stinks so much. Can't wash your hands, there are no taps or soap. The wash basin is filthy and everything is broken. Been complaining for years to no avail
Convenient with all the big brand shops and a superspar. Closes early on weekends. Has a Virgin Active Red as well which is less crowded then the Virgin Active in the opposite Lifestyle Crossing complex.
I like smaller shopping centres. No need to pay for parking. No crowds, no pushing and shoving. Do what needs to be done and get out. This ambling along in aisles at shopping malls drives me crazy.
Very convenient. Can drive straight up to the shops you need to get to. Spar, Dischem, Mr Price Home, Guess, Adidas, Levis, Cotton on, Baby City, Mcdonalds, Adegas and many others. Great centre!!!
Retail crossing is a fantastic shopping centre. More then ample parking. A great gym with basement parking. A conveniently located Spar, dischem, sportsman's warehouse and various other stores
It serves a purpose of a quick shop. Just a pity the ATM cash machines are in such unsafe areas. The restaurants are very good with great value for money offerings. Always plenty of parking.
Easy access to minor shopping needs. It boasts a Super Spar, Dischem, McDonalds, Toy Zone, Guess, Puma, Hun, Virgin Red, The Keg, a couple of restaurants and a Baby City among a few others.
Nice centre, getting in and out is a challenge. Parking lot as well as surrounding streets are designed poorly and on a busy day you could spend 20 minutes getting in or out the parking lot
A good plan B if you want a change from Clearwater Mall. Obviously the variety of different stores are limited but nonetheless has what most people may need for a quick run to the shops
Mr. Price big variety to shop, Guess and Puma outlet stores offers great deals. Baby city friendy Staff and also a variety of things to choose from. Offers more shops and restaurants.
Almost everything you need at this centre. Mr. Price Sport and Home, Spar, Dischem, Milady's, Pep, and The Hub to name a few. There are a few restaurants I would like to try out too.
Dischem is the main store I visit there...a good Spar, wimpy, tekkie town, cajees cycles, Total sports and many brand factory shops. Quite a bit available... plenty outside parking
Compliments to the staff at Miladys - Kat, Maggie and Jeanan. The ladies were super helpful and very friendly. Well done ladies. Keep up the excellent customer service. …
Always good to go there. Wimpy has amazing staff. Have to have coffee freezo before shopping. Staff in all shops very friendly and helpful. And Spar has Kitka bread which i luv.
Convenient centre if you are looking for an in-and-out shopping experience without the crazy buzz from a busy shopping centre. Enjoy the restaurants at the bottom strip aswell.
Good choice of shops to cater for everything you could possibly need. The Spar is very clean and modern. Wonderful general store for food and groceries catering to every taste.
Great stores here. Many factory type stores. Be prepared to spend some time perusing the wares on offer. Visited the fast food joints next to the mall - good value for money.
Loads of free parking space with a good mix of shops like Cotton On, Levi's, The Hub, Virgin Active, SuperSpar, Puma, Dischem, Baby City. Nice clean toilets. Very convenient
The shopping here is very calm and relaxed, you can definitely find all the things your are looking for because of all the variety of shops available. It's very convenient
A well laid out shopping experience. Lots to see, everyone in the shops are friendly and usually helpful. I had a blast even though it was a long walk to get there.
Manager of retail crossing smoking weed outside the restaurant for the second time. First time on Wednesday manger even knew who we were after the first complaint
I would suggest that more use is made of the free covered parking instead of jostling for the open air parkings, so yes it will cost you a short walk, but so what
They have hacked down all the trees!!!! Not even tried to prune tehm but killed them all. Management cares not a bit that it's upset their customers so so much.
I love the spar here. Has the best bakery... also some factory shops and the biggest toy zone . Fit for a kid to go fantasy shopping... also has a red gym....
A variety oof shops. Super Spar, Home, Coffee shop, Petshop, Vision Works, Dischem, Pepstores, Baby shop, to name a few. Always enough parking without paying.
Precious was simply wonderful with helpful advice regarding fresh produce. The cashiers are friendly and patient. Shopping here is always a good experience.
Lots of shops and parking for many of your daily purchases. Visible from both sides of the main road are "Lifestyle" & "Retail" Crossing shopping centres.
Loads of retail shops. Spar has fresh ready made meal section and the chef is great. Dischem is huge. Always parking. Very safe, loads of car attendants.
Great place to shop. Super Spar, Dischem , Shoe shops Truworths, Pet store Mr Price and many more plus a few good restaurants. Lots of great parking!
Very clean. At Dis-chem, the staff was also very helpful at the dispensary as it was my first time. I would recommend Retail Crossing anytime. …
Great variety of stores including some factory outlets! A number of restaurants, furniture stores and a gym! Car guarded parking is a nice extra!
All in one center! Just wish there was an easier way to get from the one side of the center to the other... But that's a minor inconvenience:)
I was looking for the place that carries Magneto lights and or batteries. No stock. However did get a Magneto home setup that is working well
Worst Experience of my life, stole my car in the parking area on 19/03/2022 cctv shows car guard definitely working with them. BE CAREFUL!!!!
Always love to shop at retail. The Spar has the best deli. The Wimpy is wonderful. Cotton On not as great as it used to be. Love Mr.P home.
This shopping center is a nice place to go if you want to get something quickly from clothes to food and even toys it's super convenient
Plenty of parking and theres a new car wash opening soon by shield, the pay point unit done by Hiway Parkhomes and container services
Dis Chem my cashier Makleshona Matobako was so helpful she has the right personality to deal with people. Service was excellent tks
Convenient and easy to access shops without having to walk through a mall. Plenty of parking and reasonably clean public toilets.
A good a.ount of stores. A good variety of stores. Can be a bit crowded sometimes. They should have a designated smoking area
Toyzone is incredible. The spar has the best breads. Very friendly staff within whole centre. Very competent in what they do.
Good location, however, lately there are hawkers entering stores and disturbing shoppers. Perhaps sharpen overall security.
You will love this places. You get things you want almost at once because the shopping centre are not far from each other.
Love the Mr P Home. Specials galore. Im opening a salon. Bought desk and chairs for so little and beautiful. LOVE THEM ❤️
If you. Love the In And out experience of shopping they have it all with ample parking and a drive through Mac Donald's
Excellent place to shop even if there was no electricity in shopping center but the stores made it happen
Quite a number of shops selling beds, mattresses and sleeper couches. Plenty of parking available as well.
This is a very clean, effective shopping centre with a limited variety of stores. Good for a quick run in
Overall not a nice place to shop. Convient if you live in the area, I guess. The superstar so overpriced
Close home & nice to go after work as it's not that busy. Just a struggle for parking after work hours
A great little centre. Especially if you need groceries - pop into the super spar. I was blown away.
Spar at retail Crossing is excellent, compared to other spars...they have now a drive thru carwash.
Was there during load shedding and most of stores had no backup power so very difficult to shop
Lots of parking, clean and well maintained. My only concern is that I did not see and security.
Convenient, all stores in one place, ample parking. Pleasant staff in all the stores I visited.
Always find what need at this shoping center good service and lots of parking Always available
A Lot of Stores. Great Dischem and SuperSpar. Lots of factory outlets. Ample parking space.
A very convenient shopping centre but needs more wheelchair accessible accommodation.
Visited a few shops not a bad place to go cause some still know the customer is king
The staff all round are fantastic. From management to merchandising. It's spotless.
Classy , elegant, safe and secure and convenient. It has all you need all in one
Went to dischem to get diapers for my kids. Super fast service was in and out
Convenient stop but it was month-end and stores were too full so had to leave
Great stuff at affordable prices. The bicycle shop got my attention though
Nice and big shopping center can get almost anything you are looking for
Pleasure to shop there plenty of parking and good prices in all stores
A very convenient shopping area just what you need for.a quick shop.
