"The pharmacists there are absolutely useless they don't understand how to read prescriptions and shorted me 45 tablets then argued with me that i was wrong and its not their fault, so they dont need to call the doctors office after i phoned the doctors office and they said its a pharmacists duty to contact the doctor if there is an issue with the prescription, after 10 minutes of arguing they called faxed the doctors office and boom doctor told them they are wrong and to give me the medication"
"I'm new to Calgary and enjoy checking out all the new to me stores"
"Nice selection considering the size"
This WAS the pharmacy that we used for our family for more than three years, but we are changing now. Here is why: One of the head pharmacists has twice felt it was more important to lecture and argue with my wife out of a feeling that we were neglecting our children by not getting the correct prescriptions for them at the correct time. This was done as a personal attack and not at all in a professional manner. Twice now my wife was called this pharmacy to get the prescriptions filled for our kids and to make sure the information and dosages were correct BOTH TIMES THIS HAPPENED WITH THE SAME PHARMACIST. Instead of helping the pharmacist was incredibly rude and went out of her way to attack my wife on how we are taking care of our kids. I have no idea why this pharmacist felt the need to insult my wife over prescription refills instead of helping us. Maybe the pharmacist was blowing of steam or having a bad day both times, but it was inconsiderate and unprofessional and in no way helped us get the prescriptions filled as requested. I am not saying that we know better than pharmacists about what our children should be taking for Asthma, but we are well aware of what their issues are. I am a lifelong asthmatic myself. We follow Doctors and specialists orders for all health issues we have, so what is with this unwarranted hostility directed towards my wife? Just help us to fill the prescriptions my kids need to control their Asthma and leave your incomprehensible personal feelings out of it! When this happened once, I assumed it was just a miscommunication or a result of somebody having a bad day. When it happens again a few months later? We are taking our business elsewhere.
**UPDATE: I have verified that after I paid for an XPresspot service, my package was never recorded leaving this location. My gift card inside (that I am able to track) was used 2 days after I shipped it and therefore I believe it was stolen from the girl behind the counter that took my money. Karma is real young lady!! ** I've been using the post office in this location for years trying to support my local establishments in the area. I've been patient up until now. All of my visits have been a bit frustrating having to wait long times, listening to the the older lady behind the counter talk unnecessarily to customers about the weather while the line behind piles up. My last straw was with my last visit for a mother's day card I mailed a week before the weekend it needed to be there, paid $30 for it to ensure it got there in 2 days time and somehow the card got lost from when I paid for it and when I left the store. ZERO tracking of the item recorded.... Not only am I disappointed it didn't get there, I have a disappointed mother-in-law, and now I question where it went with the gift card that was inside??? I'll be going to a different location moving forward. PS - I concur that the Pharmacy sucks and I have not used it in year's either from past experiences of over charging for medications and dispensing fees.
The pharmacists there are absolutely useless they don't understand how to read prescriptions and shorted me 45 tablets then argued with me that i was wrong and its not their fault, so they dont need to call the doctors office after i phoned the doctors office and they said its a pharmacists duty to contact the doctor if there is an issue with the prescription, after 10 minutes of arguing they called faxed the doctors office and boom doctor told them they are wrong and to give me the medication. THEN on a different medication i filled that day thats take 2 tablets a day for 30 days with a refill, and they filled 40 tablets, are you FU**ING KIDDING ME 2 tablets a day for 30 days, IS MATH THAT HARD so frusted will never return to this pharmacy and might file a complaint with the alberta pharmacists association.
I'm new to Calgary and enjoy checking out all the new to me stores. I had stopped for a burger at Mc Donald's and noticed the Rexall. Sometimes the little pharmacies have neat products, maybe some Christmas gifts ideas. I happened to be by the Pharmacy and I felt so bad for the girl working. She was asking for help with the computer. Whoever was working with her was waving her arms tell her to hurry up, the poor girl was begging her to help. I heard her say, I'm new. I don't know what she said to that poor girl, but she left in tears. I refuse to support an establishment that treats employees like that. I will not be back
Nice selection considering the size. Post office employees work for Rexall, not Canada Post. The same is true at nearly every postal outlet in Canada located inside other businesses. They're not given enough training by actual Canada Post representatives. All of the staff here deserve higher wages. If they paid more and offered fulltime hours, good workers would actually want to stay. Head office is in an echo chamber hellsphere, and I feel bad for every customer who has a negative experience here.
We get rapid antigen tests done very often throughout the city. This is the ONLY place that will stick the swab in to the back of your nose and down your throat. I've been told by other pharmacists that you DO NOT NEED TO GO THAT FAR IN, just swab the inside of the nose. This is very painful and uncomfortable for a fair time after. They also seem to have difficulties keeping appointment times. Plan on being here for an extra 20-40 minutes. I recommend you go literally anywhere else.
*post office* I've missed a package thanks to their delivery person. They've logged 2 false entries as delivery attempts and notifications. Then they give me my final notice a week late! On top of that, this hasn't been the first time. I've almost missed another package a few months back if I hadn't dropped in on my own to inquire! They also implied that I lied as well about not receiving the notices. Maybe I should start tacking pictures of my inbox on a weekly basis
Wish I could give this place a zero star. This review is for the lady at the Canada post counter "MARY". She is extremely racist and unpleasant to speak to. She constantly made rude remarks, and smirked. She made me wait an hour while she giggled and laughed and helped other customers. Never using this post office again. Wasted my time and refused to help. I am applaud by the staff you have hired at this location. Never returning because of her. HORRIBLE.
The pharmacy here is challenging to deal with. They were charging me incorrectly for my prescription and insisting I had to pay 20%. I told them I had two benefits plans and they must be entering it incorrectly. They also did not want to fill my entire prescription and made I come back 3 time in 6 weeks, each time charging me a dispensing fee and 20%. Today I filled my entire 3 month persecution at another pharmacy and didn't pay a cent.
Tuesday, October 17th at 5:30pm The older cashier lady with the short brown hair is extremely rude and unprofessional. I went to Rexall in DouglasDale tonight to buy eczema cream, and when I got to the till the cashier said “oh, when are you expecting” and I said “excuse me” and she said “oh I thought you were pregnant” I said “no I’m not pregnant” I honestly can’t believe this happened. How rude.
The pharmacy is top notch and they have always been extremely informative and kind while trying to help out in any way they can to make things easier for their customers within their abilities. Some of the staff in the store are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The post office is why it lost a star, I won't go into detail but that is not Rexall's fault, that is Canada post.
I only go to the store because it’s close to home, every time I go there people don’t want to give you a smile or there isn’t even any one standing at the till you have to wait for them to come because they are somewhere stalking the shelf's.The manager there needs to learn or get trained on customer service. i’ll go out of my way and go to the shoppers instead!!
I went to this location because they offer drop-in antigen testing. I arrived at 5:15pm On Sat. The pharmacist was wandering the store…literally doing nothing. She informed me she’s done at 6:00 and she’s too busy. Absolutely refused to give the antigen test. It takes 2 min. to take my money and do the test. Don’t go here.
I like this Rexall because its close to work and they usually have what i need at a reasonable price. Only issue is sometimes you have to wait at the front for the cashier as they are quite often stocking the shelves nearby. T I also like the post office here as its rarely busy and i can get in and out quickly.
“Jason “ = remember this name
An organized and convenient store. The staff are clearly tired but still very friendly. I hope management treats them better. I'm glad a few of the staff are cross trained in the post office as well to help them out! I visit this pharmacy when my usual one is closed and the techs have always been helpful
The staff here are always a pleasure! I stop by once every two weeks and send out all my mail for work. The post office is always open late and always helps me put the stamps on 20-50+ items of mail each time because I always forget I need more! ++++ CUSTOMER SERVICE & they always have sales
I do business at this post office really often as I have a business and send out packages all the time. Mary has always been awesome and I look forward to talking with her when I get to the post office. I am always smiling even brighter when I leave the post office after speaking with her.
Staff can be ok depending on the day, but pricing is terrible. This place is a complete rip off! Items I pay betweem $8 and $10 for everywhere else are $14-$15 here! Example drixoral nasal spray walmart $7.97, here its $13.99. Won't be shoppimg for anything here from now on.
Really rude! rude! rude! Racist old lady in canada post on this branch. Talking too much to each and every customer, thinking she’s helping alot but the truth is it’s just a waste of time.
Pharmacist and assistant customer service top notch! Dealing with staff at the store, very welcoming feeling and quick to cashier your items
Great staff and customer service! This store is on my way home from work. Not a huge store but great for picking up toiletries and snacks!
Great staff, they do their best at all times, highly recommended. This includes the post office, the pharmacists and tellers.
COVID testing , this pharmacy staff not careful and probably do not follow protocols at all
Amazing staff! Nermin and Patricia is just so awesome. …
Pretty clean, friendly staff, high prices, great convenience though
Post office staff are always really friendly and helpful.
Somewhat pricey, but nice staff and lots of selection.
Avoid the pharmacy.
