ALWAY GET A SECOND OPINION So I woke up the one day with my power steering broken, fluid leaking out underneath my car. I took it to Riaans , left my car there for a quote. Lovely friendly staff. When i got a call back a quote was given to me of R10024.55. This was basically to strip and refurbish my whole power steering system. This was also the cheaper option, as a new part that could be imported would cost R19000 (this was also for just one part) not something your average Joe could afford. The ladies on the phone where very sympathetic, i asked is there anything else they could do? Even to remove the power steering? but they gave this as the only option. I didn’t approve the quote and took it home and inspected it myself. With my limited knowledge and google I was able to find the problem myself, just a hose that had a few cracks that the fluid was leaking out of. Took it to a specialist and got it fixed for a mere R1500. I feel I was almost taken advantage off with this crazy price difference? I able to figure out a cheaper solution when a professional only gave me the highest possible quote? Glad i second guessed them because my power steering works perfectly again!

Depending on outcome of meeting with Owner on Tuesday 7 Nov. When I would return my vehicle there. Would review my post accordingly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After meeting with Riaan with the motor. The issue pertaining to the radiator not coming on, was a missed perception from myself that it hadn't kicked in yet when it needed to work. After having the vehicle with Riaan and they tested. It did in fact work. The other parts were also returned to me, a forgivable honest mistake one of the reception ladies made. I am pleased with the conflict resolution and the urgency to which they addressed it, which realized my misplaced frustration and anger at them. Riaan assisted beyond the circumstances. I'm very thankful for that. Will definitely make use of them again should I require mechanical work. However they referred me that the car required an auto-electrical to assess to other issues.

We took our car in on monday for a major service. They then called back to say that they needed to sort out the mis fire (extra cost) and after we agreed that they fix it there was "another" problem (extra cost). The service ended up costing us R5879.40. Upon collecting the car after it has been with them for 4 days the car could not start. They then said it's the battery which was replaced last year March, we took the battery back to Willard. They tested the battery and it was all good. The staff at Willard then said it's the starter. When we went back to Riaan THEN only they agreed its the starter and Riaan cleary stated that they not liable for the starter as "they never touched it" a starter that had no issues before they did the service. My husband and I was so excited to take our car to them after reading all their reviews. What a disappointment

I've received fantastic service from Riaans Auto. From the time I requested a quote up until I collected my vehicle. The pricing was better than any other service center in Parow and Bellville and it wasn't even close. They beat every other service center by a couple of thousands. What stood out is that they recommended that a different place inspect my suspension first before I replace my shocks. They preferred to not replace my shocks incase correction was required as the new shocks could potentially be damaged if there were underlying issues. I applaud Such honesty and integrity. All round I felt that I did not have to worry about anything or any nasty surprises as they were completely open and transparent. Keep up the excellent work. Every other review is justified and well deserved. I highly recommend Riaan's Auto.

Very bad took my car to them for a service early morning in one Friday, as usual they phoned me in the afternoon informing me that the car is ready, it was late when I went to fetch it and they were about to close. I drove the car few km from their workshop I noticed a smoke coming out of the bonnet, I was so frustrated because they do not open Saturdays. I went to the nearest garage and was told that there is no water in the car it was empty, imagine only few minutes after it came from a service.Monday I did not go to work I went straight to them, Riaan said its not his fault he said its because it was late for a service, since that day my car had engine problems, spent lot of money trying to fix my engine

I have used Riaan's Auto Repairs several times in the past, and was always impressed with their service. The fact that they have someone in the office that understands cars makes it easier to book a service, and that they do a full check on your car, alerts you to issues you may not be ware of. They do not work on your car just to make extra money, if they do not need to do anything they will tell you. Last week they went out of their way to assist my mother with some serious issues with her car, going beyond what was expected of them.

Not bad in terms of service, the ladies behind the front desk makes you forget you're in a workshop. However.... pricing is a nightmare, resources seem to be a problem in the parts suppliers department as the price of parts quoted is 3 times the price of the same item found locally elsewhere, make a few more calls and save a customer. Just my 2 cents. Read the honest 1 star reviews and see how they respond to their customers... imagine trying to deal with this crooks.

My wife took her car in without appointment to have something small but important checked out. They were able to fit her in and help immediately. My wife also commented on how neat the place was. We are very happy with the service we received and think that the associated costs were acceptable. PS. The official dealers wanted us to book the car in and had a waiting period of 3 days.

Good honest service with a smile. Can be on the expensive side though but with extensive experienced feedback on ones vehicle one can make informed decisions based on budget and certainly peace of mind that workmanship is proper. I am not a fan of mechanics as a whole due to past experience but Riaan and his team offer good service with a quick turn around on repairs. Thumbs up.

Was the first time I took my car to any other workshop other than an Audi dealership and I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received. From the get go I was treated professionally. Their service is of good quality and pricing is of fair and good value. I'their workshop is clean and neat, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend them.

Clean workshop, staff was amazing when entering the building, I was personally greeted by the owner. Floor was clean throughout the workshop, staff also took care of moving cars in and around the workshop. The care the workshop takes for ensuring the customer and vehicle is looked after is outstanding.

Great service and they provide feedback based on a full inspection of your vehicle. The owner of the vehicle first needs to provide approval before any parts are procured or installed, which is great and I do not get a surprise when you collect your vehicle and need to pay.

Wonderful and trustworthy service. I went to them for a overheating problem with my car. Same day they called me and explained that its just a pipe that needs to be replaced. Any other places these days will charge you for a thermostat or water pump also. Great
