The gallery stands in Central East Austin, where in the past was a home for a lot of BIPOC. Currently, Austin is getting extremely gentrified especially East Austin. its refreshing to see a such a creative space with plenty of diversity to keep the culture and creativity alive in East Austin. RichesArt Gallery has been a safe haven for me. Great afforadable art classes, extremely fun and unique events, live comedy shows, and amazing art displayed that changes every month! That's the thing with RichesArt Gallery, no one is doing it like them. The owner of the gallery is such a down to earth human being that uplifts other local artists! All of the art displayed in the gallery are by local artists.

He truly elaborates on the riches of art by completing powerful pieces of all different varieties. Support local artists by selecting one, or a few masterpieces. Honoring the great Latina women like Frida and Selena, Richard has implemented homage to the beauty in strength and women empowerment. I felt honored to purchase these carefully crafted works of art. He also hosts Latin specific events in addition to the art gallery. Doing comedy nights, and raising awareness and respect for the Hispanic and Latino community.

By far one of the finest art galleries I have ever been in. Such an array of different types of art. There is something there for everyone. I am amazed at the artistic ability of Richard since watercolor is one of my favorite Types of paintings. I not only have several of his pieces of art but I also have some of his shirts, facemask, and many things that he sells that I have not bought yet but will surely get them as presents for people I love. I highly recommend any and everyone go to this gallery, you will not be disappointed. And the best part, he will do custom work to your order. I was so impressed!

I absolutely love coming to this art gallery! You can really tell the owner loves this place and is intentional about the work displayed on the walls. In the last 6 months, I have been to over 10 events hosted here - all different, but always a good time. This feels like a gallery for the community, which is something you don’t find often. Rich allows so many organizations to use this space and highlight artists from a wide variety of backgrounds. A great space to host an event and they host really cool art workshops as well. HIGHLY recommend going here and/or booking for an event!

We hosted a karaoke party in celebration of Black content creators who dedicated their love and time to Japanese animation and Richesart Gallery brought our vision to life! It was our first time in Austin hosting such a party and were thrilled with the turn out. The Richesart team were gracious enough to add some extra touches and assist in the preparation for this event. The team, the bartending service, were all super friendly and accommodating. We would we more than happy to work with them again on future events!

Hidden oasis for black creatives and artists alike. Rich has created a playground for the arts in this mini compound nestled on East 6th. You can explore an entire gallery of his work: he specializes in watercolor. Or attended the rotation of pieces from local artists. There are also classes and events - all information is shared on his website or Instagram page. The staff are also very friendly and encouraging if you’re curious about submitting your work for upcoming exhibitions.

What an amazing studio! I attended an art class and learned so much. Richard owner/instructor was/is extremely knowledgeable and excited to teach and help you create. The gallery is phenomenal!!! You wont leave without 1. buying a piece, and 2. looking forward to the next masterpiece that will be created. The fact that this is the only Black Owned art gallery in Austin, adds a layer of pride to anyone supporting black owned businesses. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.

I planned a event a Rishes and the team was amazing! They were so helpful and the space was absolutely gorgeous. They were so communicative. I barely had to rent any items because they had plenty of tables, and sound equipment. Richard, the venue owner and his assistant Destiny were hands on moving table and helping through out the entire event. They even have an in house bar/ catering staff. Parking was very easy too. I will definitely hosts future event here again.

It was my first time taking a water color painting class and I definitely will be coming back. Such a a unique private event experience. Painting surrounded by such beautiful art pieces was inspirational. Rich did an incredible job giving us the quick fundamentals to be able to successfully create our own abstract art. He really is a master of his craft and makes the process much less intimidating for someone who has never painted before.

I hosted a clothing swap here and Rich and his staff went above and beyond for me and my guests! The ambiance was perfect and it’s a phenomenal location with plenty of street parking. We all know event planning can be stressful but Rich was great with his communication and provided all the little details I needed for a smooth event. I couldn’t have asked for a better event space. I am definitely booking here again.

Riches Art Gallery is a home away from home for me. If you love art and community and to spend time in places with a high vibration that feel authentically Austin - this is the spot for you. Additionally - if you’re a creative - Riches art is the best place to go to explore options re: how you can express yourself and your art at the gallery. Amazing place that I would and do recommend to anyone I meet in Austin!

Super Cool, and can't wait to show here again. There's a jam wall in the back if you write, there's projectors for playing PS5. And underground performers/musicians you can discover. Loved the intersection of pop culture, music, literature, comics, fashion within art of the last show For artists that want to show here, or art lovers that just want to vibe, I definitely recommend it.

This gallery is incredible! The variety and quality is truly incredible! Rich has a ton of original pieces on display, and let me tell you, he is insane! The guy is so talented, and just a great human being that's passionate about his craft. The venue has incredible comedy, fashion, and other entertainment shows that are always worth going to. This is a must visit spot in Austin!!

I work a with Richard Samuel on a regular basis and we have become good mates. He is a great fella! This gallery is only black owned gallery in Austin but that isn’t the most interesting thing about it. Richard has the ability to bring people together like I have never seen, his events will regularly pull hundreds of guests even on a weekday. Come check the art and be inspired.

I haven't been to Riches Gallery...yet. But I will make it a point to get there. I don't need to walk into his gallery to tell you how beautiful his art is. I own quite a few pieces of his some prints maybe one or two originals. You will not be disappointed by his art! Also a great all around person. Beautiful art gallery and art studio in East Austin! The gallery has so many kinds of art including pop culture, flowers, historical figures, animals, and so much more! The watercolor painting classes are a lot of fun too. Rich is amazing at teaching you how to paint in his classes. He gives each person the attention they need to paint their masterpiece.

I have multiple art pieces from riche ranging from wall decor, customs, and even fashion clothing. All of his products are 10/10 and I’m going to keep purchasing from him and using his art to decorate my house for as long as I can. He is professional and will get your request done in a timely manner. It’s an honor to know such a great guy!

Rich is a cool dude with great art of his own, & Moria is a wonderfully kind & helpful manager. This space has that unique Austin vibe & I'm glad it's here. Everywhere I looked, I saw an art piece that spoke to different sides of me, done by a wide & diverse set of artists. The place definitely keeps the creativity flowing here.

I can’t find a place in Austin that I would go everyday, But, RichesArt in my only exception. From the the amazing art to the connections made their with such wonderful people. Favorite part of my bachelorette trip! We did the erotic painting class and it was so much fun. I loved it and I have paining experience but so did those that have never painted at all. Also it is a beautiful studio and perfect atmosphere.
