Stasera sono stata al Ristorante la Nuova Piazzetta con tre amici venuti direttamente da Berlino. Nonostante le difficoltà linguistiche e la confusione clamorosa che ne è derivata a tratti, il nostro cameriere Damiano è stato gentilissimo ed estremamente amichevole! In generale siamo stati accolti in questo ristorante con un caloroso abbraccio (letteralmente) e anche il resto del personale è stato molto amichevole. Detto ciò passiamo alle cose serie: IL CIBO. Abbiamo ordinato i ravioli ai funghi, la pasta con le polpette, un antipasto con il salmone affumicato, pasta con l'astice e come dolce un tiramisù e una pannacotta da dividere. Che dire, è stato MAGICO dall'inizio alla fine, una soddisfazione immensa ad ogni forchettata. Si vedeva proprio l'amore messo nella preparazione della pasta fresca dalla 'mamma' in cucina. Senza parlare delle porzioni abbondantissimissime (!!) ad un prezzo estremamente onesto!! GRAZIE MILLE A DAMIANO E TUTTA LA SQUADRA! Ci siamo innamorati tutti e quattro. Miglior scoperta per il nostro primo giorno a Roma. Consigliato sotto ogni aspetto: - cibo delizioso tipicamente italiano con la pasta fatta in casa e sughi classici e buonissimi - servizio veloce, attento e organizzato. I ragazzi sanno molte lingue e mettono il cliente a proprio agio fin dal primo momento. Sebbene la sala fosse affollata, il servizio è stato rapidissimo. Particolari complimenti alla gentilezza di Ousman e a Marco per i vini consigliati e la professionalità, ma soprattutto al titolare Alessandro, che si presenta come un ragazzo affabile e alla buona e che abbiamo scoperto essere anche professionale e affezionatissimo alla mamma, una delle protagoniste di questo ristorante grazie alla sua pasta fatta in casa - grazie a questo tipo di servizio l’ambiente risulta quindi familiare, ci si sente proprio a casa. Io e le mie amiche siamo state benissimo, e anche il prezzo è molto onesto in rapporto alla qualità. Non ho altro da dire se non complimenti a tutti quanti, dal primo all’ultimo!

We were roaming around the Colosseum and decided we have dinner in the area. We checked Google and found this restaurant so decided to give it a try. It was around 5pm so still not quite dinner time yet and we’re able to get a table quickly. Gabriele our server was very attentive and we get to chat a little before ordering our food. We came hungry (no lunch) and was wondering if the pasta has good portion so we need to get pizza aside from our pasta dishes. He assured us their pastas are ‘American’ portion and he was right! We ordered the pasta with pesto sauce and clams and also the seafood pasta. Both were excellent and the pasta tasted very fresh. The tiramisu with pistachios was very good too. Gabriele was very personable and he checked in on us regularly. We have been to a few restaurants in Rome and none has the server like Gabriele. We will definitely recommend our friends to dine here and we will for sure come back next time!

Yes…the recommendation by one of my Skyclub members recommended coming to this place after visiting the Coliseum. He was spot on! Luckily we went around 13:00, there was a short queue already. Not even 10 minutes later the queue grew to about five different parties. The host was amazing, I didn’t get his name but he made sure that we knew our business was wanted and gave us updates about every 2-3 minutes. Finally we had a seat and our server Alberto was amazing! At first I thought there would be a language barrier but he was speaking Spanish and luckily I’ve been studying for the past year. We ordered pizzas, an app, house wine, soft drinks and dessert. It all came to less than 100€! The food is everything you want, the atmosphere was everything that I dreamed of. The family and I had a great time. Party of 5! Definitely would recommend as a go to spot!

We happened to find this place by chance on apple maps and thought we’d give it a go. We arrived at 18:30 and thankfully not any later as there was a queue of 10+ people not long after. The service was amazing, Gabriele was so attentive and gave us great recommendations. Our food was delicious and showed us why Rome is so well known for its pasta! For dessert we couldn’t decide between two different flavours of tiramisu so he was kind enough to bring us out half of each, which is great luck as I preferred one and my boyfriend preferred the other. Overall the service, food and general feel of the restaurant was amazing and we can’t wait to come back. Definitely give this a go if you’re in Rome. We’ll even happily wait in the queue next time, trust me, it’s worth it!

A cosy restaurant and the staff said the pasta was all handmade by his mum. All staff were very enthusiastic and they even didn’t mind to remind you giving them good comments on social media, which means they were confident on their food and service. Price was very friendly in such a touristy area and the quality was out of expectation with that price. No wonder there was a long queue during meal time but it worth to wait. We had the cold cut platter (delicious olive), lobster pasta, carbonara, veal, vongole pasta and tiramisu. The portion was generous and very very yummy. Pasta was al dante. We had lemon wine on the house after the meal which was a surprise too! One of the best restaurants in our Italy trip. Thanks Jasmin for your hospitality.

The service was very good, we were sat quickly and the food came out suspiciously fast. Waiter was super nice. We ordered pizza with spicy salami, pasta with pesto and clams and steak. The pizza was okay. Nothing worth writing about, would eat again but would not seek it out… The pasta was fairly good! Pesto sauce was nice and fresh. But we believe there is just so much better pasta in close proximity to this restaurant. The steak is where the major issues are, it was so hard to chew, so much grizzle and the potato’s were burnt. Salad was incredibly forgettable. For the most expensive of the dishes, we just expected more. Overall we will not be recommending this place to anyone, and we will not be back.

We loved dining at La Nueva Piazzetta! I have food allergies, and they have a very detailed menu (by request) that lists the common allergens in their meals. Our server Gabriel was especially helpful and attentive. Our meal was fantastic, and we ate outside in a very pretty setting. On top of that, they have the BEST panna cotta we have ever tasted. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.

I have severe soy and gluten allergies. While they don't have gluten free pasta or pizza, they have a detailed allergen menu (and a very helpful server) that made it easy to find something I could safely eat.

The restaurant is hidden away, and we are excited to go there based on the mini mini good reviews on Google. We ordered pasta carbonara and a vegetable pizza as well as white wine. The service wasn’t terrible, but they had four different waiters work with our table, and not in unison, but all separate. It was difficult to figure out who was who. The pasta was good. The wine selection was not that great. The pizza had a very acidic sauce and was not what we were accustomed to or what we had at other Rome restaurants. They gave us a limoncello as a parting gift, but it was watery and had an ice cube in it. Not a bad place to go, but I would say average.

My pasta was amazing! The waitress seemed a bit distracted with another table, which is understandable, but it felt a bit disrespectful when he finally asked me for my order, while I was trying to speak, he was joking around with the other table, and I had to repeat my order three times. Despite this minor hiccup at the beginning, the food was outstanding, and it's a fantastic place. We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the area and didn't have a reservation. However, we didn't regret waiting for about 20 minutes. I would happily eat that pasta every day for the rest of my life!

Don’t pass this gem up! We walked up to the restaurant and a long line was already forming. Do not be intimidated, it’s worth the wait (and the wait wasn’t long at all). We ordered 4 different pasta dishes and the Italy pizza as an appetizer. Our waiter Marco took our order and the pizza came out within 5 minutes. Everything was so incredible the food, the atmosphere, the history of the restaurant. We are so glad we came in and met Marco and everyone who works in this incredible restaurant. Put this restaurant on your short list if you haven’t already.

Alberto kept the dining experience lively with his random 1990s music solos on the radio. Omi was informative and intuitive with his ability to read the room and anticipate guests needs whether they be a next course or another utensil. We came here based on the over 10k reviews and they did NOT disappoint. It’s off the Main Street but well worth it for every course.

We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in Rome and it did not disappoint! The staff was super attentive and friendly; we were served by Jasmine and the owner Alberto personally and they were very sweet and accommodating! The restaurant has a halal menu which is amazing because it's so hard to find, and the food was amazing! The non-alcoholic tiramisu was absolutely delicious too! Would definitely visit again before leaving Rome!

Whatever you order here, you'll love it! I highly recommend the pizza Italia, though. A family business since 1926, this cozy little restaurant exceeds all expectations. Awesome service, awesome food, just a great place! Our waiter Alberto really made a good impression and lightened the atmosphere, took great care of us. You may have to wait 15 min for a table depending on when you come, but it's definitely worth it! Also close to Colosseum and Roman Forum. Owner evens works in his own restaurant and is very outgoing.

It is a little hard to find but once we found it we were met with a great welcoming feeling tonight and the outside seating was very cozy despite being in December. We went here because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. We ordered IPAs, red beer, but there seems to have been some misunderstanding and we got the wrong beer but it was sorted out as soon as we pointed it out, which shows great service. The food was excellent here and perfectly priced. Overall the experience was the best so far in Rome so the reviews here are legit compared to some other restaurants in Rome.

Don't be discouraged if there's a line when you show up - they pump customers in and out very quickly. The pizzas were very good, the pasta was average, the portions were huge (come hungry). We didn't have the friendliest server and the tables are so close together, it completely ruined the experience. We were also told we couldn't use the restroom after our meal because the line was too long. Overall, I'm not upset we ate here, but I'm not inclined to return. *Tip* study the menu while you wait on line because they expect your order the moment you sit down.

A lenient 3.. the food was ok. Not as great as advertised. The ravioli was 3 medium sized pieces costing 18€. The salad was bland and the pesto fine. Generally not good portions for the prices. The waiter was ironic as soon as we got there, especially when he found out our nationality, which I don’t get since we were just customers he would never see again. Please be kind to your customers. The tables are so close to one another and to the walls that you have to hit at least five times to get to your seat. Not a good experience, we do not recommend it.

È un posto perfetto! Quando siamo arrivati, c'era una fila, e abbiamo deciso di aspettare, e ne è valsa la pena! While the food was edible, it was not as good as other places that I visited. The lasagna was dry and hard, and the bottom was burnt, giving it an unpleasant salty taste. It felt like the lasagna had been sitting out all day. Ravioli was okay. Good to try it once in Rome. The price was also more expensive than at other places. We came here because of the rating, but the only thing that was memorable was the customer service. I suggest you go to a cheaper place with a rating of 4.5-4.7, as then the rating will be more trustworthy.

This restaurant is a must if you are visiting the sites in Rome. It is close to all of the main attractions and the prices are fair. It is so good we ended up coming here twice! The portions are very generous and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to Alberto for being an amazing waiter! The pasta is some of the best I have had in Italy and the pizza was also cooked to perfection. If I ever make it back to Rome, I for sure will be stopping here!

Lovely hidden place. It is definitely worth the wait in the line-up. We ordered the prosciutto pizza, egplant and zucchini pizza and a Caesar salad. Both pizzas were excellent and so delicious that I wish I had an unlimited room in my stomach. And of course, Albert, the host, is an amazing social guy! The portion size of the Caesar salad is quite huge and it is a meal on its own. I didn't get surprised by the Caesar salad though. I recommend this place and I love the food as well as the ambiance.

Was exhausted after our colosseum tour and spotted this 4.7* restaurant in Google maps. Walked in, got a table for four within 20mins. After three days of feasting, this restaurant is by far the best! We had the carbonara, porcini ravioli, amatricianotta pizza, cacio e pepe, and the tiramisu with Nutella and pistachio. The food was superb. The porcini ravioli was the best I have ever had. Finish off with the amarone. Best of all, reasonable price. Gabrielle served us and Rita recommended the tiramisu! It’s been a wonderful experience. Highly recommended after visiting the Colosseum.

Honestly, I don’t know where to begin. We ended up getting sat inside next to the owner who welcomed us and had a conversation about New York! Uzman & Marco & Luka tended to us and they were so friendly and made sure we didn’t go with out! Even a chef came to deliver food. We ordered Italy pizza, Pasta Carbonara and Tiramisu half regular, half Nutella, pistachio and espresso, coffee with milk. All tastes good, and especially we loved regular tiramisu and how they served it. Service is 10/10, Gabriele is so kind and fast. Marco was our waiter. And ohh man he was the nicest waiter i have seen so far in Rome. He was super friendly. The food was super delicious. I tried the pesto with clams and it was very flavorful. It was truly a great experience! Love this place! Really close to the Vatican but far enough to avoid tourist food. During our Rome visit we went two times! We saw many locals, which is always a sign of quality if you really wanted to experience Rome. We tried the fried artichoke, the focaccia, the meatballs, the rigatoni a la pajata, the carbonara pasta and caccio e Pepe. So many flawors! The wine from the house is okay. I was stupid and ordered a pizza that had meat on it. The owner straight away took to back when I told him not to worry, and made me a fresh vegetarian pizza.

Fantastica esperienza presso la nuova piazzetta, abbiamo cenato sentendoci Come a casa, tutte le portate sono state divine, la pasta alla carbonara era buonissima, come anche la carne cotta nel giusto modo e la parmigiana, il dolce infine servito dentro una caffettiera è stato il Top. I tempi di attesa sono stati brevissimi considerando che siamo andati il sabato alle 9.30 e Marco, il nostro cameriere ci ha trattato alla perfezione. Luogo consigliato senza riserve. Complimenti per l'ottima gestione.

Ci siamo presentati al locale verso l'1 e 30 e abbiamo dovuto aspettare 45 minuti fuori. Appena seduti al tavolo, ho notato che il bicchiere era sporco. Anche per il bagno, unico e comune, l'attesa era di 15 minuti. Abbiamo ordinato una pizza, tre carbonare e una cacio e pepe. I primi piatti erano abbastanza buoni ma troppo salati. Tutto sommato i prezzi sono un po' alti per l'attesa, il servizio e la qualità del cibo.

Tanta, tanta roba! Mi sono preso la parmigiana (spettacolare sullo spettacolo. Mangiate in tutto sud Italia ma così mai!) A seguire la tagliata che è molto particolare, cotta fuori succosa dentro. Dalle foto, la tagliata non ha fatto in tempo a mettersi in posa ma nemmeno la parmigiana! Ottimo il dessert. Qualità prezzo atomica e la gentilezza dei proprietari incredibile. Esperienza!

There’s a queue when we arrived, but we were seated very quickly. Ordered a starter and 2 mains for 2 Asian girls, the portion is really big. We couldn’t finish our meal. Service by Marco is great and we were being taken care of. The pasta on the other hand tasted normal, there is nothing fancy about the pasta and it’s taste. The place I’m being seated is very warm too as they tried to put as many customer as possible into the restaurant

It is truely a hidden gem we discovered online and strolling through the streets. The food is authentic especially the pesto pasta was delicious with homemade hand rolled pasta, they serve other unique dishes like sautéed chicory( greens) which was best so far in Rome we had, grilled sea beam fish with baked potatoes and salad was fantastically delicious and cooked very well. Overall service was fantastic with owner personally reaching out to customers and checking on them. Overall we will definitely come back again and a must try!

This restaurant is the best in Rome, we came here twice already and will be recommending this to all our friends and family. The food is delicious and the best we’ve had in Italy!! (We recommend the Bolognese with fresh pasta and the Italy pizza) Our waiter Gabriele was amazing and very attentive to all our needs. Definitely recommend everyone to come here to experience true Italian cuisine!

Siamo stati fuori, riscaldati con i funghi. Siamo stati benissimo. Piatti abbondanti, la pasta fresca da il tocco in più! Servizio eccellente, personale super simpatico e disponibile. Tiramisù alla nutella e al pistacchio ottimo, oltre che bello da vedere, servito nella moka. Consiglio di andare presto o tardi perché l’attesa per il tavolo può essere lunga.

A must try! Delicious food and exceptional service by Marco and Mohamed. There was a line up when we arrived, but it went by fast. While we waited in line, Silvia provided everyone who was waiting with a glass of cold water - a very kind gesture on a hot day! We tried the gnocchi and spaghetti with meatballs - best meal we’ve had in Rome!

We found this cozy spot tucked away on an adorable side street right after our tour of the colosseum! It was just 5 minutes walking distance. Gabriel was so nice and provided amazing service. My favorite pasta is gnocchi and this had to have been my favorite plate of gnocchi I’ve ever had. The eggplant parmesan and lasagna were also delicious. I wish I lived in Rome so I could revisit. Thank you for the hospitality and delicious food! Coming from an italian family myself, it felt like it was made by Nonna!

This place was so delicious, some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Our waiter Marco was awesome, he was fun and interactive with us and helped us pick the best meals. The atmosphere was fun and light, everyone was happy and really nice.

Our group had a three year old and five year old and the waiters were interactive and really nice to them.

This place was amazing! We went for dinner for two out of the 4 nights we were in Rome (it was that good we went back!) the customer service is amazing and everyone is so kind and personable. The food was phenomenal, we got past the first night and pizza the second, all dishes absolutely delicious (cacio e pepe was my favorite) Definitely recommend!!

Giving 5 stars because it was my partner's favorite pasta during our entire trip and for their convenient location (near the end point of our Colosseum + Roman Forum tour) and hours (they stay open between lunch / dinner). Personally I didn't love the service or the food. The "spicy pasta" wasn't spicy at all. For any spaghetti dishes adding burrata is highly recommended (shown in the photo here is with "extra extra burrata")

We asked the waiter if an appetizer and a pasta would be enough for two ladies or if we needed to order another pizza. They suggested we order another pizza. But we simply couldn't finish it by the time we got to the back and filled two take-out boxes:) Nonetheless, the food was beautiful. The waiter was very friendly and even adjusted our table for us even though we didn't ask them to do so.

Absolutely loved this place!! It was the friendliest restaurant from our whole vacation! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the owner, to Alberto and Luca, taking wonderful care of us and making great food recommendations! Such a wonderful experience. We came here to celebrate a birthday and everything was great! The pasta was really flavorful and the pizza was one of the best I’ve tasted in Italy so far. Fantastic place to experience true Italian cuisine in the centre of Rome. Such a gem of a place within walking distance of the Coloseum and Roman Hill. Portions are monstrous and the food authentic. The service is very quick and the staff is very attentive. There will most likely be a line during lunch and dinner. They have just one restroom and there will be a line for that too.

There seems to be a waiting line in front of the restaurant most of the time. We, for two people, waited for 10-15 minutes and, it was worth it. The food prepared around 10-15 minutes. Waiters were very kind and they were having fun doing their job. It was really great to see. And the food!! They were delicious, very big for a single portion, you could be okay with one Gnocchi for two people, but the more the mere. We are planning to coming here for another lunch.

During our lunch at the restaurant in Italy, we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially considering the generous portion sizes. We came here twice in two days. That's how much we loved the food. The service is quick. They don't really have time for small talk, which when you're hungry is great. Pretty sure the owner was walking around the first night and he just seemed so excited for everyone to be there and was super friendly. We got the Carbonara and the pizza one time, then the pasta and the steak the other time. Both fantastic dishes. Can't recommend this place enough!

We found this restaurant by chance going from Colosseo to Forum Romanum. First experience was just amazing but luckily we left our bag with souvenirs over there. Don’t walk, run to this place for their food! Such a beautiful experience at La Nuova Piazzetta! We were taken care of by Alberto today and had an amazing time. The staff along with Alberto were very kind, attentive and extremely quick. And THE FOOD!! Oh my goodness. These were the best dishes we’ve had during our time in Rome (and my all time favorite ever). You will not regret coming in here. You’ll leave with a happy tummy and a HUGE smile.

It was a popular restaurant with great food and customer service. By 7pm, the place was full and there were about 10 people waiting, so if you're going at night, it might be a good idea to go around 6pm. As I recommend the pasta, the cacio e pepe was especially delicious! It was a fun time as GABRIELE and HASSAN were very attentive to customers.

I love this place!!! Service is kind and friendly. The food is amazing!!! This is my second time at this restaurant and I wish I had found it earlier. The veal with mushrooms, steak, and lasagna were what we had. Berry Mojitos were delicious . Dessert was two thumbs up (see the pictures). Also the Pizza was better than all the pizza we had in the past 5 days in Rome. The mussels were okay, it needed more garlic, salt and lemon.

Gabriele, our server, was super kind and attentive and made the experience worthwhile. Kevin was our server and was most attentative to our needs. The multilinguist, friendly, and professional staff added to the experience. Mohammed is our server. He is extremely attentive and meticulous. I wanted a Moscow mule despite the restaurant doesn’t have it, he made a variation and it tasted so good. I recommend everyone coming here for the food, drinks and ambience. 6 stars if I can give this restaurant a higher rating. We even waited in line for 30 minutes and usually I hate waiting but this is worth the wait.

We stopped here after our walking around the colosseum. The host was great and the waiters were friendly. We had the caprese salad and eggplant parmesan for starters. Delicious . Spinti dalle tante recensioni abbiamo deciso di provare questo posticino a pochi passi dal Colosseo. Ambiente un poco piccolino ma il personale gentilissimo, abbiamo mangiato 3 ottimi primi che erano veramente porzioni abbondanti. Consigliamo assolutamente la carbonara ma anche l’amatriciana merita. Our waiter Gabriel was super kind and patient. Even the guys that cleans the table were super nice and polite! The gnocchi I ordered was one of the best ones I tried in Italy! Highly recommend!

Hands down the best pizza I've ever eaten. The wood-fired crust was superb, the tomato sauce a delicate, unobtrusive flavor blended well with the generous natural cheese and other toppings. A perfectly-executed pizza.

From the host who spoke Portuguese to Italian to Spanish friendly and extremely helpful. My waitress Kevin was amazing with the must amazing recommendations of wine food and dessert. Highly recommend while close to Colosseum or just while visiting Rome .

Magnifico, absolutely one of the best places to eat in Rome. Pizzas home made and delicious, the wife has carbonara and she absolutely loved it. The service is brilliant and all the staff make you feel very welcome.

One of the best restaurants in italy. My bf and I went for our 1st time in italy and we were amazed. Food was so food. Great service. Served by Marco and the waiter from Naples (forgot to ask his name). Dessert (tiramisu) was also amazing. Would come back. Worth the 20 min wait in line.
