This was a fabulous trip and here’s why we love our travel agent: #4.  They Knew Stuff We Didn't Our agents knowledge was staggering.  Did we know not to miss the Chocolate Party, or where the best restaurants are?  No, but our travel agent did.  They knew what to do and who can help make it all happen. Hotels, restaurants, tour guides, extra adventures — they know how to put it all together for a smooth and memorable trip. #3.  Their Relationships Are Key To us, even more important  than a great relationship between the tour company and the travelers is the one between the travel company's staff and their preferred services, like hotels, tour guides, drivers, etc.  Because the company seeks out and works with great businesses and individuals, the traveler gets the best.  Do I know how to find the company that makes sure that our excursions ran smoothly? No, I do not — but this travel company does, so we are covered. # 2.  They Have Buying Power First, the company was completely respectful of our budget and priorities.  Never felt pressured to “buy more” or upgrade constantly. Second, because of those relationships mentioned above, this travel company could give us truly wonderful options at our comfortable price point.  Lovely hotels,  delicious food, and amazing excursions  — not likely to be affordable  if we were assembling this trip ourselves.  Strong partnerships between this travel company and these folks benefit the traveler most of all. # 1   They Make Things Happen Throughout our time working/traveling with this company, we always felt they were going above and beyond for all involved.  Example:  Flying a grooms and wives family and friends from different parts of the country to Jamaica for an all inclusive wedding? Of course! The old saying “ You could make a wish, or you could make it happen” is spot on and really is the core of this travel company's business model.  And who benefits? Everyone involved, including these two lucky travelers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I just got off the phone with Mary (who I assume is the owner) today and she was one of the rudest and most condescending people I've ever interacted with. I never write reviews on virtually anything, but the way she made me feel demanded I do something. My husband and I are looking to travel to Mexico this year and I gave her information on what we're looking to do including other quotes we've received as we were seeking the best option. Mary rudely cut me off in the middle of what I was saying and claimed how she has celebrities and Jaguars players as clients and that what she would have to do for me would be a waste of her time among other things. After telling her that she was really rude and offensive, she gave absolutely no validation or any real apology, but instead doubled down on her horrifying customer service with snarky ending remarks. My husband and I book significant trips yearly so I understand travel companies wanting to focus on specific clientele and travel budgets, but her attitude towards me was incredibly condescending, belittling and oddly cruel. She could have simply communicated she wasn't the best fit for my needs, but instead she insulted me and treated a potential customer like garbage. I cannot fathom how someone with that customer service acumen has received 5 star reviews, and I felt it was important to let other prospective researchers know that this organization is not friendly or agreeable to deal with.

Mary is simply the best. My wife and I scheduled our honeymoon this year to Jamaica. Mary helped us get an upgraded room, including butler service and club Mobay (highly recommend them both!). Tropical Storm/hurricane Eta was coming through Miami, our original airport to get on the flight to Jamaica. Mary called us the day before and was able to get us on another flight (with only 3 seats left) to route through Charlotte to make sure we got to Jamaica ON TIME and we did not have to spend the night in the airport in Miami. Planning a wedding/honeymoon during a pandemic is stressful enough. I figure that most travel agents would give you a website to go to with "frequently asked questions" on the ins and outs of traveling and airlines. Mary actually spontaneously went to Jamaica because of the number of questions she was getting from her clients in order to experience FIRST HAND how travel was. She then called me THE SAME DAY she got back into the states and told me step by step what happened, what to expect, and every detail to make sure my wife and I did not encounter any obstacles that would make traveling and the stay at the resort stressful. I have been and will be referring all of my friends and family to Mary when traveling. Again, she is simply the best.

We can't thank Mary enough for helping us pick our honeymoon spot! We LOVED Antigua and Sandals and could not have picked a better place. We knew we wanted to honeymoon in the Caribbean and spend our days laying on a beach but that was it! I am very indecisive and Mary was so patient, friendly and helpful. She even offered for me to come to her office to discuss options in greater detail. She listened to what kind of vacation we were looking for and gave her suggestions while staying within our budget. I'm so glad she gave us her honest opinion and recommended the Mediterranean side of the resort, I thought I wanted to be on the Caribbean side but we loved staying in a Mediterranean club walk-out room. We were both blown away by the resort. The service was excellent, the room was great, everything was so clean and the food was amazing. Everything exceeded our expectations and the beach was never crowded. We snorkeled, kayaked and sailed but other than that it was laying on the beach sipping frozen drinks! Mary did a great job picking out the best resort for us! Everything ran so smoothly thanks to her. When we are ready for our next trip we are coming back to Riverside Tour and Travel!

I booked with with Mary for my all inclusive trip to Jamaica & I’m so happy I did. Mary kept me updated on my flight information through the process. She made sure to send my transportation information weeks in advance, and she made sure I was updated on any new information from the resort or airlines at all times. Our first flight out of CVG was delayed, so we were unable to catch our connecting flight from Dallas to Jamaica. We had to spend the night in Dallas that evening. One quick call to Mary and she was able to get our reservation at the resort pushed back one day so we were able to stay an extra night. She also moved our airline reservation coming back to the US without any extra costs. I am absolutely blown away by her professionalism and quickness. Mary was an absolute godsend for this trip. She made the experience more relaxed and stress free. I am so thankful for her. I've been working with Jen W. and am in awe of how much she's been able to do for me. Of course a travel agent can book stuff for you, but what I didn't realize is how valuable their experience with destinations and vendors actually is. Jen has taken the time to get to know me, and is able to recommend places or cruises that are exactly what I wanted. She's able to think of things that I would have overlooked like shuttle transfers or access to subways/trains to make sure my vacations are seamless. All I have to do is enjoy! I have told everybody I know about Jen. There's no gimmick here - these are just down-to-earth folks who are dang good at what they do. I travel frequently, so I'm very grateful for the mental load of planning, booking, monitoring, etc. that Jen has taken off of me. She's truly made my life easier. I can't recommend enough.

My husband and I used Mary to book our 10 year anniversary trip to a Sandals resort after my sister used her to book her honeymoon. Mary was AWESOME. She was very quick with communication, and was so sweet about working with us and our differing ideas of a relaxing vacation and the million times we changed our minds (sorry, Mary!). My husband and I had left over flight credit to use by August but during the Covid pandemic we were not sure where or when we would be able to travel. Mary helped us with travel last Sept. for my best friends wedding in Jamaica and did a great job navigating around flight changes and chaos from an unexpected hurricane. We used Mary to book a family member’s destination wedding. Mary was accommodating and attentive UNTIL the wedding was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These are unprecedented times and what should be happy times for the bride and groom quickly turned into extra stress and poor communication from Mary. She seemed to not acknowledge the pandemic, only citing that the bride and groom decided to go a different direction. I was disappointed with the lack of compassion as the wedding had to be cancelled, her level of professionalism and her minimal efforts to follow up regarding refunds for guests. Many guests had to reach out to her directly. She also did not confirm addresses to mail refunds or offer the option to refund it to the original method of payment. It seems she was willing to help until her commissions were off the table. Keep this in mind when using her services. Very disappointed.

Kimberly was nothing short of excellent. She was great to work with and helped us every step of the way. She was very honest as we were making our decision on where to go, which we really appreciated. Once we decided on a destination, she made sure that we were well prepared. She would check-in with us every so often to make we had everything squared away for the trip. She also sent us very detailed notes/tips sheets just prior to leaving, so we were very well prepared in terms of what we needed to bring and travel items we needed to take care of before the flight. Mary was amazing with planning our destination wedding! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Mary is an absolute godsend… If you are thinking about doing any travel, please understand that since 2020 the reliability of airports are not that good. We had the airline cancel a flight which made us stay in Irving Texas for the night and miss our first day of vacation in Jamaica. Mary got our vacation changed so our first day would be the day we arrived, and also extended our stay by one day, and took care of all of the flight changes. Without her connections and expertise, that would not have happened will definitely use this travel agent again.

We used Riverside Tours & Travel once again for a trip to Jamaica in June 2020, which was postponed due to COVID. Mary was able to move our trip to February 2021 which was also postponed weeks before the date. She immediately called to provide the news and suggested we go to the same resort but in Mexico. She rebooked, assisted with flight and found personal transportation at no extra cost. We actually ended up saving money. The customer service is exceptional and as always Mary makes you feel like your her only client. I highly recommend!!

I thought Kimberly was phenomenal from start to finish. Helped my wife and I navigate international travel, booked the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever been on, and also excursions on the island. She had experience at St. Lucia and provided solid recommendations. Although we went with a more relaxed and romantic resort, she knew it was the better fit for our honeymoon. But had we wanted something more active she had other recommendations. Definitely will be using her moving forward.

The vacation itself was underwhelming and we plan to never visit another Sandals resort again; this was Sandals' fault, not Riverside. This is my first use of a travel agent since the 80's. I'm OCD and normally like to handle all of my travel details myself, but with this trip we were trying to coordinate five different cruise reservations. Jen handled everything wonderfully, ensuring we had all of our proper documents, ensured the timing, and that we all had dinner together at the same time. She stayed in regular contact so there was never any wondering or mystery.
