"Terrible! The young guy who works there, is extremely rude and unprofessional"
I have mixed feelings about this place. I do agree with other reviewers that the older Asian lady with glasses always seems to give off a negative vibe even if you happily say hi to her while dropping off (4/4 times so far). The younger staff (her children perhaps?) are better but not all of them... The guy is typically pretty nice to me as is one of the younger women but one of the slightly older ones (but still young looking) is on par with the senior Asian lady with glasses; I had a bad experience with them both that I will share below. Here’s my very bad experience: one time I had questions and while they answered in the fewest words humanly possible, they ended up talking about me in Korean… in front of me while I was still standing in front of them! It was not a good feeling because I am pretty sure they were talking about me as they threw glances my way while doing so and it sadly made me feel very uncomfortable :( The reason this gets two stars is because of the location, it’s right on Robson and there is parking in front compared to the other Robson post office a few blocks up (which by the way is AMAZING with very smiley patient staff so go to that one if you can). Also this post office is inside a building and there is a misting/water station for dogs in the front by the City of Vancouver so that’s nice. Lastly I saw the post office workers at the other stores within the building so the family probably owns multiple stores within the building if not all of them including the food court upstairs. I really hope the owner reads this and knows that I want to give them business still, but they need to improve their customer service… a smile goes a long way! I hope this review helps them improve so that they will have more and more business not only at their post office but other stores in the building.
Horrible service!!! The lady who works there doesn't know what she's doing. One of my parcels got charged tax and duty. I contacted CBSA and asked them to get it reassessed as it was a return item from one of my US customers. They told me just bring my receipt to the Canada post location where my parcel currently is and ask them to send the parcel back to the closest CBSA casual refund center. I went there, the lady told me, they never done that before and I have to pay for the tax and duty, plus the shipping fee to send it back to the refund center. I asked her if they have a internal support line that she can call and ask, but she told me they don't have a linertal support line. I went back home and called Canada post myself, they give me a clear direction of what to do and told me their staffs should know the interel line number or worse case the staffs can contact the customer service department. Anyway, now I have to go back again (3rd time) to fill up some forms and get my parcel reassessed. I felt no support at all during the entire process and the lady who works there just doesn't care about their customers.
Incredibly bad product knowledge. Now on 2 occasions. First time was sending an international package that previously was sent for around $30. Guy at this location argued that it needed to be sent a specific way, therefore almost double the cost. Asked multiple times if that was the case as this was not needed previously. The guy insisted. Ended up having for the receiver to go an hour to a specific location for pickup. Checked with another post office - he was wrong and charged unnecessarily high fee. Now second time, we were sending a small package within BC, were told it would be $18 (package is the smallest bubble envelope they have that weighted under 20 gram). Insisted that it can't be so. Again guy said it needs insurance. This time I asked to speak with manager, manager comes out and it turns out the cost is in fact $1.18. Definitely not coming back again. Will make a trip to a different location. Advice to management - train your employees properly as they have no idea how to do the job. Recommend avoiding this place.
Its usually not busy here and my packages have always been accepted and processed appropriately, so 2 stars for that. Customer service other than simple processing packages is not good. I know staff will generally not respond to my hello/thank you and that's fine. Today, however, went beyond the usual unpleasantness - the woman at the desk did not answer my "hello," as usual. It was a return so I didn't say anything else. As the receipt was printing I said thank you - and the woman crumpled the receipt in her hand, threw it at me, turned and walked into the back. I was stunned - instead of just putting the receipt down, or handing it to me, she literally tried to throw the receipt under the barrier and at me. Its light paper of course, so the throwing was not successful, it didn't go far. My young child asked me why the staff person did that. I have no idea. This was outright rude. Aggressive even. I expect them to be unfriendly but this surprised me. Its time to go elsewhere.
Terrible! The young guy who works there, is extremely rude and unprofessional. I ordered something on line for Christmas but I was never notified and my product got shipped back to the sender. For some reason this post office sent my product to Montreal and then to Richmond and them back to the sender. He refused to accept their mistake and instead of being professional started yelling at me an shooing me off with his hand gestures, as if I’m a bird. It’s very clear that the his parents never invested any time to teach him some basic manners. Canadian culture is knowing for its politeness and high quality service. People with such poor customer service manners shouldn’t be allowed to embarrass our city. If we all stop going there until they learn how to be polite and professional, maybe we can get our city back the way it used to be?!
It is difficult to meet people these days who are as amiable and competent as these guys. I've gone to this place a lot, and everyone there always does their best. Additionally, their services are the fastest in Downtown, bar none. However, there is little to be said about their customers. I've personally witnessed unpleasant behaviour against Canada Post staf on numerous occasions. As a great nation and one tight local community, people must stop bullying, and negative, demeaning conduct. Your treatment of others reveals more about you and the nation you represent. One of the best Canda Post stores in Downtown Vancouver. At this location you will always find the best customer service, friendly and highly knowledgeable employees. If you can then try to walk there and sort out all of your questions, don't phone them, no CP location in Vancouver answer their phone. It is easy to understand why, it is always busy at all Canada Post locations in the lower mainland. If you follow the guidelines then this shop may be your favorite destination for all shipping and mail supply. Thank you to all Canada Post employees that work at the Robson Post Office.
The worst phone service ever. I phoned them if I have a parcel to pick up after receiving a final notice. The lady who was on the phone with me did not say anything after hello and holding the line and eventually hung up. She said the walk in customers are priorities when I called again. I understand that she was busy with customers at the moment and can wait as long as she explain to me. She just does not have common sense of customer service and was quite rude.
employees were unable to find my second package by name after picking up one of two packages, call Canada post and find out is is at this post office, call the post office and they can only find that package through the tracking number. go in the next day only to find out they have sent the package back after telling them i would be in. they were unwilling to resolve this issue and blamed the issue on having a employee in training
Sadly had a very rude encounter with a younger asian girl. Very hostile from the get-go. No idea why. I asked if everything is ok and she ignored me. I was posting something important and decided not to go through with it because of the hostility. Worrying she may do something she shouldn't. Sad because this is my local Canada Post. You are part of the community, Please fix up and act accordingly.
I found this post office to be very efficient and very polite there was two gentlemen and they were so helpful for me they even went the extra mile to provide me with all the details I need to be able to get my letter tomorrow morning because I had just found out that my ID had just expired! I thank them ssoooo much. ✌✌
Does not take the time to look for my missed mail. Says on my card that I can pick it up after 5pm. Went there at 6 and the lady at the counter said to just come back for it tomorrow that "there's too many boxes and she can't find it." Unbelievable and most frustrating. Is it too much to just do the job and look for mail ?
I came here looking for holiday business hour changes and found these negative reviews. I go there once or twice per week, have been served by several different people and have no bad experiences to describe. They must be doing something right because when I saw the bad reviews I felt an urge to share my good one.
Excellent and convenient post office. Clean and easy to get to. The service is as fast as any post office can be especially when the person in front of you is shipping many things. The customer service is actually pretty good here, not 5 star but not as bad as other reviews make it out to sound.
There are a lot of negative reviews about young Asian female staff and that’s true. The male Asian staff is very kind and friendly, but the young female Asian staff is the worst. She’s extremely rude. I did not even want to give a 1 star. She deserves 0 star.
The young man that works there is very rude, lack manners and if you pose him questions reacts very poorly. Not to mention that they don’t know basic things as to what represent Government-issues photo IDs. Go to another Canada Post office.
I’ve picked up many parcels here. I’ve never had a problem. It’s usually not very busy which is nice, no long lines. I’ve lived in the area for two years and this is my primary post office. …
I lost my tracking number and this guys spent a lot of time to help me and they did get out from more than a month ago it was very helpful. This is my favourite place :-)
Terrible service. Don't have a printer. Go anywhere else but this location. Purolator is amazing. people working here will go out of their way not to help you.
the very best Canada Post in town, these guys are so kind, nice and always keen to help - I will always prefer coming to you instead of any office in the area
Wow...... seriously? Card says parcel is there, so I went and guy says 'come back tomorrow too many here to look'. Worst service ever.
Awful customer service, rude employees, unhelpful. Worst post office experience i've ever had. Never go here.
I wish there was a way to have packages delivered anywhere but here. Horrible people working here.
I was there today to send money and the girl who works there is rude!
Good service. Staff are nice and well trained. Very nice overall.
Great customer service, all employees are very helpful.
Basic post office inside the Robson Mall.
Friendly and helpful staff
