Hogle zoo is not a world class zoo. It won't take you all day to see unless you really want to take your time and stop to see everything. They have 2 parks that are fairly nice. One has a splash pad that is on during the summer months. There are several smaller things throughout the park for kids to play on. It has a train ride and a carousel that are about $2 a person. It gets fairly crowded during the weekdays but is great to visit during the week. We have a season pass and could go every week. The exhibits are great and my kids can easily see the animals (1.5-8 years old). The terrain is fairly easy will one larger hill to get back to the entry. There are 3 main eateries. The main one is always open with excellent options at prices that are reasonable. If you're in town or even thinking about a season pass I would definitely recommend it.
The Hogle Zoo has changed so much since I’ve last been there. It feels significantly smaller… but all in all, the facilities are much nicer. The animals look happier and the open spaces for them seem to be much more accommodating than they used be. We showed up pretty early and there was no line to get in. But by the time we left, the line was beginning to form. One thing I didn’t enjoy though was how loud the audio was blasting outside the lion viewing area… that was ridiculous! Gonna miss the elephants! I think that the sea lions were the most engaging. ☺️

If you don't visit the zoo and you don't have lunch there then perhaps consider going, your visit supports the zoo, expansion. Improvements to habitat and they do have live shows. The bird show. The dog show and now the bug show. All shows intended to EDUCATE you. It offers the magic of the animal world. Take a day and by all means, visit the zoo and yes. While there please buy food or souvenirs as well. It supports all the programs and the big winners? The animal inhabitants that live there. Enjoy ! I did.

Great experience. It's amazing to see how well the animals are cared for. Most animals are there due to having injuries and are being nursed back to wellness. There is a lot to see. My family and I were at the zoo for over three hours and spent every second of it enjoying the animals, exhibits, and food.

We always have a great time at the zoo. Hogle Zoo has done a fantastic job for so many many years. We're sad to see that the elephants are going soon but we know they will be happy wherever they go. The Bearpaw didn't really have any meaning to me except for the design. I enjoy drawing and that silhouette of a paw print is really cool.

Had a great time. If you need to rent a motorized scooter for disabilities, I suggest you get there early. I got there an hour after opening and got the first one. When I returned it at the end of my visit, they told me that they had sold out within about an hour after I rented mine.

Hogle Zoo had a day free for veterans so took the family and had a good time. However, after seeing what the cost would have been normally, way too expensive in my opinion. Been to multiple other zoos that are just as nice at a much more affordable price.

Sea Otter was beautiful. The seals and sea lions were awesome. One of the polar bears looked like it was trying to see the sea lions and the seals. It was cute. The grizzly bears were also out and about. That made it awesome. Although, I do kind of wish they were able to hibernate, but oh well. Oh and the polar bear was eating a carrot
Exciting and the give enough room for the animals to actually move around. I love being able to watch the seal training and feeding or to be able to get so close to even the giraffes. A experience I absolutely loved and plan to bring my family to again. (The polar bear exhibit is under care right now) so we plan on coming back.
Great animals! It helps that we were there when it was cloudy/rainy so the weather cooled and the animals were active, but this was my favorite part of the zoo, hands down!

We absolutely love seeing the otters, seals, and bears!! My son goes crazy for the polar bear and the seals. All the exhibits are well laid out and organized. The animals look well cared for and healthy. I am a big fan and believe you all would be as well. Five stars for sure.
It is always a great place to visit. Reasonably priced and constantly have seasonal things going on. The have a train that goes through part of the zoo showcasing giraffes and zebras. This will cost $2 per person. Its a smaller park but usually the animals are in plain view.
I had so much fun, although they didn't show the apes feeding like it was posted but we still enjoyed ourselves!.. just a few pictures to add for all hearts eyes to see!!❤️ My suggestion would be .. show up early in the morning an pack a lunch box!!
The kids love Nikita (the male polar bear). If you get there right as the gates open, and crowd around the enclosure, you might be treated to his routine.

We love visiting the zoo, especially in the winter! The animals are so active and the crowds are smaller because of the cold. We're members so we can go for just a few hours at a time and the kids always want to go back!
The polar bear at the rocky shores was having such a good time! Dude was very lively and there was a lot of info on him as well! 1200 lb bear was swimming around with so much grace!
The place's amazing, the animals too, just don't go close to closing time, because they have a guard who yells, closes the doors and turns off the lights even if you're there yet
It's not the biggest but the animals were more active then other zoo's we've been to. It's very clean and the exhibits have great views over all it's a really beautiful zoo.
This attraction display was great, the views of the mammals swimming by were awesome & it wasn't crowded so I was able to take many pictures. Very relaxing environment.
