Today, I had a hair appointment with this place, which I confirmed this morning was still going ahead at 2.00pm. Monica stated she would return my call About 5 minutes later, Monica called to confirm this appointment was still on. Low and behold, when I contacted them at 2.50pm to say I was on my way but stuck in traffic, Monica told me they double booked. Now, anyone that has had braids are aware that this is a long procedure and if I continued and waited, I wouldn't be out of that place till late evening and that was not happening. This is lack of business sense , lack of communication and lack of respect for their customers, Monica or a colleague should have called to at least apologise for their short-comings The thing is I was recommended this place and told they had doubled book when she booked with them but felt this would not happen again. I am so cross, I took the day off work for this appointment and ended up paying £8 taxi fare for not actually going anywhere. I will never return to this place and will not recommend Roots Salon to anyone.

Such a lovely experience having my hair braided here! Stephanie was really helpful with picking styles, amazing blending of colours for a natural look and super friendly and helpful! Worth saying that Stephanie and her colleagues worked on my hair at the same time and mid back box braids only took 3 hours, the fastest I have ever had my hair braided with extensions and the best quality finish as well, fantastic job :)

This is by far the best afro salon I have been to in Bristol. After issues with previous hair salon they were able to fit me in at short notice. They are always very friendly and chatty and make you feel welcome. I've had my hair braided on several occasions with stunning results I always get comments. another big plus is they seem concerned and offer advice on how to properly maintain your natural hair..

I got my hair braided with this salon for Christmas and they were absolutely amazing! They were very patient with me and helped me to find the exact design that I wanted. They also provided great hospitality. My hair still looks the same after a few weeks! This is the place to go to get your hair done!

Very accommodating! I brought in the hair I wanted and they mixed it so nicely. Price was also reasonable and they were very quick for my waist length blonde braids. I got loads of compliments. They were very friendly as well! Make sure to specify where you would like a parting at the beginning

Ive been to a fare few braiding salons and this is now where i go to get mine done everytime.. staff are so friendly and the braids are awsome.. so flexible and the owner will try her best to fit u in even it its her day off she will sort something for you.. 5* for customer services..

I have been to her salon I didn't even have an appointment but she still did my hair. She's really friendly and welcoming offering beverages as my hair was done. She was really quick and cheap and sacrificed her meals to finish hair and make sure all appointments are attended to.

I got my curly hair cut here and it was a great experience, Stephanie was amazing, she was really friendly and made me feel welcome. My haircut was perfect and afterwards stephanie gave me some advice about products to put in my hair. highly recommend!

I had box braids here last month by 3 lovely ladies and can’t thank them enough! They instantly made me feel welcome and made me feel comfortable for the whole 5/6 hours I was there. They’re amazing at what they do, I will definitely be coming back!

The owner, Stephanie, was extremely friendly and responsive when we were trying to work out a time for me to come in. I got dreadlock re-twists and they came out perfectly, she also gave me good advice on the maintenance of my hair.

I got crochet braids done here and they look amazing! They were quick, and Stephanie and all the girls at the salon were so nice. I'd definitely recommend it and will go back.

Very friendly owner and professional braiding. They're not rough on my natural hair and they listen to you unlike many places This is now my braiding salon.
