"Worst store on the planet, to my cashier, Meagan, just get a new job, you obviously hate this one, I was already having a rough day so you didn't ruin my day, but seeing the look on all the faces you checked out in front of me I know you ruined theirs"
"Selection was pretty meh"
"Love this store! Right smack in the middle of the craziness of 3rd & Pike, your still greeted with a smile and a welcome to our store and I always find incredible deals! Good value, excellent customer service, you might have to wait in line a bit sometimes but that's just because of their great merchandise at great prices"
"Forty to fifty people in the line to purchase items from the store, and only two checkout lanes open(?) Payment for a purchase took anywhere from 20-50 minutes during my visit"
"This downtown Seattle Ross is great believe it or not"
Worst store on the planet, to my cashier, Meagan, just get a new job, you obviously hate this one, I was already having a rough day so you didn't ruin my day, but seeing the look on all the faces you checked out in front of me I know you ruined theirs. This store us garbage, it uses to be good but now it can't hire more than two cashiers at a time when easily they needed 4 or 5. I know this company doesn't even give a s#$< anymore, that's probably the only thing that's more obvious than Meagan being single. Attitude like that and disgusting treatment of customers and repeatedly slamming the barcode scanner on the counter like a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum in Walmart cause they didn't get their toy.... This is the new standard for this location now, everytime I go in there.... I personally aren't letting it happen again, the money saved isn't even close to worth the feeling of just being made to wonder what I possibly could have done to these people for them to treat me so incredibly disgusting. If you have anyone you need some revenge on, just send em on a trip to downtown Seattle Ross and know in your heart they just had the worst experience of their entire lives... There's no way this store has 4 stars, to all the bots, er people I mean that gave this store positive reviews, I have a bridge for sale
Selection was pretty meh. I have been to several Ross stores because I LOVE Ross and we don’t have any in MN, but this was by far the worst. The location was seemingly good, but at night beware the hoards of people who are standing around the corners drinking, yelling, cursing, etc. I was extremely uncomfortable being in that area at night with my ASD child because he doesn’t perceive danger correctly and it was a very rough space. When we got inside there was a disinterested security guard who gave a quick glance and then continued ignoring everyone, and staff were milling about having very loud personal conversations. The floor looked super dirty—and the whole place was really dingy in appearance. Selection as I said before was very sparse, and the layout was not customer friendly. Elevator was in the very back corner of the building. Idk. I love Ross, but this place will be avoided next time I visit Seattle.
Love this store! Right smack in the middle of the craziness of 3rd & Pike, your still greeted with a smile and a welcome to our store and I always find incredible deals! Good value, excellent customer service, you might have to wait in line a bit sometimes but that's just because of their great merchandise at great prices. Ya gotta be willing to give a little sometimes to get something good! And I always leave with something good and feeling good... Always Nice to have a store that actually has some integrity now days I love that 1 piece jump suits are back... Takes me back to the 80's... Good times... But $10 for this, it's so soft and I just love it You can't beat the value
Forty to fifty people in the line to purchase items from the store, and only two checkout lanes open(?) Payment for a purchase took anywhere from 20-50 minutes during my visit. Dreadful.... The selection was actually fairly decent, and the store is convenient in its location, however, the streets surrounding the area are also overrun with transients, the homeless, and a smattering of downtown office workers. The prices and surprisingly wide variety of goods may be the saving grace for this location, but the poor service levels and alarming condition of the immediate vicinity are likely to contribute to its downfall.
This downtown Seattle Ross is great believe it or not. Employee's always seem to Tobe on point but keep in mind they deal with a lot of theft so it may feel a little like the the clothing racks have eyes at times such is the real-life aspect of downtown life unfortunately these days, just something I though maybe mindful I have yet to have a non-responsive costumer care associate lead me to anything less than the register. Thank you Ross Dress for Less I'm in style now and ready for work at my new job. Even with a homeless man's budget I still bought what I needed! Thanks again and Happy New Year!
I am a visitor from England and always visit a Ross store when in America, I always find a bargain. At the Pike Street, Seattle store I had a problem after purchase and spoke to Christina, in security, who asked the duty manager Jennifer to speak to me. I was so impressed by the way both ladies dealt with the situation, they were friendly, polite, concerned for me and professional. The problem was put right quickly and efficiently. I can only recommend this store for its staff and for the lovely purchases made at incredible prices.
I got to say how disappointed I am at my last experience with ross. I went in specifically to get a comforter set in which I found an 8-piece queen comforter set for $22.99. unfortunately when I got home and opened the bag up it was not a comforter set at all it was one mattress pad and I had to return it very next day. They didn't have any other selection there of any type of full size so I had to go to the queen in the first place. Ended up finding something at Goodwill which was much better than Ross's selection anyway.
Caution to any trans women: I went to the ladies' dressing room & was told I'm supposed to try my clothes on downstairs in the mens' rooms. I told the worker I was a woman & she paused & kept looking. I just straight up showed her my breasts (shirt on) then she let me in. Really, Ross?? How effing uncomfortable. I'm pretty "passable", so I'm not sure if it was intentional. Whether it was or not, it's still wrong. There were even people looking & listening to everything. Please train these employees.
There's not much to choose from anymore here in downtown Seattle so I try to shop here but it's really an uncomfortable feeling because no matter how I'm dressed or what I happen to look like that day.. I always feel like they're thinking I'm going to shoplift. They don't actually stock you but pretty darn close to it. Understandably so - it's a high theft area because those junkies have to have some source of income and God knows they sure buying those blues and black and clear with monopoly money.
Everything was a great experience lots of clothes lots of to choose from. The only bad part is the checkout line and the wait I've gone in there before and actually just left what I've chosen to buy because the wait line is forever too long they only have one or two check out people and there's probably 20 people in line to check out and it just takes forever. This store has more inventory than most but I'd rather go to other Ross stores because the checkout time in nothing like this store.
Terrible customer service. The Asian lady at the returns counter was horrible. She literally yelled at me because I made the mistake of returning a garment that was not from ross but old navy. I messed up the receipt. She was extremely rude. The manager did not seem to care either that she was rude. He just pass it off like nothing. This store used to be so much better. You would think after the lockdowns, they would work harder at gaining back customers. It’s horribly pathetic
The store has changed a lot after the covid-19 situation. So many of their collections are now gone. And quite a lot has been removed. You will find mostly empty shelves and racks if you've ever visited before pandemic started and now in the new year. But still has inexpensive items and many of the useful things that I need for myself and for my household stuff. Always a good store to find out if the thing you need is available here or not. Bought myself two cute mugs.
It's a complete mess! Clothes janmed on the rack, stuff everywhere. The huge line at the register was enough to make anyone leave without buying anything. Update: I like this Ross a lot more than I did. Stuff is more organized and they are constantly stocking new items everyday. It's on my way home, so I pop in there a lot. But the lines are still long, but its bc they only have 2 registers open at a time. They have definitely lost my business a few times bc of that.
Located in the heart of downtown, Ross Dress for Less is one of a handful of discount clothing stores. The place was a mess - most of the merchandise was on the floor or in the wrong place. What do I expect from a retailer like this? I expect to find what I'm looking for in the correct department. I ended up leaving a couple of things I wanted because they didn't have price tags. Walk across the street to the Rack if you want to see how to discount correctly.
They have so much decent quality stuff for low prices if you go soon after your store's restocking days. Store is fairly cleanly. Security staff hovers a lot at this location, so beware if you're a person of color who is tired of being targeted by store security. It can be very triggering, at the very least uncomfortable, but they do it because apparently this store gets a lot of shoplifting. Lines are typically long, as they often have very few cashiers.
Unpleasant experience. Floor was cracked and grungy. Waiting in line took over 30 minutes because there were only 2 registers open. We tried to stop in the previous day for a quick purchase, but apparently they close before the hours posted on their sign. We arrived at 7:40pm (closing was at 8:00). It is unprofessional to lock the doors 20+ minutes before the posted closing. If you want people to stop coming in before 8, change the closing time.
I had my house shoes stolen from me, not just because I sleep outside. Anyhow this morning it was raining. I go into the store to get a pair of shoes and I'm told I can not go into the store after almost begging after explaining my situation, I was sent down the road in the rain in socks. Regardless of your policy where is the humanity in this? I even offered to give them cash and said I would wait outside and was just told NO.
Side Note: Beware... Don't be Shoplifting here if you don't look good wearing Orange or any shade of Orange. It's about the only remaining store downtown that hasn't boarded up their windows and given in to the drug addicted, homeless, out-of-control Zombies who inhabit the back alleys by daytime and emerge into the night with the delicate, yet pungent aroma of aged urine that permiates throughout the downtown corridoors.
Ross in Downtown Seattle is one of the busiest Stores I've ever encountered. They have an enormous selection of deals and of course I like that. But... Who doesn't! Right? Customer Service in the store could definitely use improvements. Though this store does experience a lot of theft. Be prepared for street life when visiting this store. It's a gauntlet out there in the JUNGLE. THANKS FOR READING... DAVE DE LA Cruz
Store is great but unfortunately thsy never have much of a selection of shoes in a size 13 every other shoe size has plenty to choose from. The staff is not very helpful at all so know what you want this will help you save time that you need to reserve for the checkout line. I have not yet waited less then 10 minutes so be prepared but those prices on most of the merchandise is pretty good so I keep going back
The best place to shop is this Russ on Rainer way Seattle i always go to russ and they have been nothing but, nice i love them ❤. They always welcome me and never give me a hard time to shop so i take my time look around and shop. They are the best. So for their reviews i would like to give them a five star review rating. Try this Russ on Rainer Seattle you will love them too they are just wonderful.
People were friendly, the item I wanted had a big stain on it and the only other one they had had a hole in it. I notice there were a lot of stains on white clothing there. A dress, and two other white shirts I looked at also had stains. I did like that they had a good selection in size 11 shoes. I found a super cute pair that fit great! I love Ross this one just isn't my favorite.
I shopped for a dress for a girl and took me a while to find one that she liked then I parked the cart to go down an aisle cause there was too many people in it and I came back around and they took my cart and lied about taking it staff did but I just wait for them to put it back in the back room and went back and got it the lady didn't have to say she didn't take it seriously
One of the best places to go for bargain buys. It’s no secret that Ross is one of the few places where you can buy potentially anything without breaking the bank. I would stick to clothes, home goods, bags, kitchen ware and accessories while shying away from buying shoes here. Atleast not heels for sure , the ones I have bought so far have never been worn more than once.
I am always able to find something here, even when I'm not looking for anything particular. And although sometimes the lines are long the cashier's move pretty quickly. It's definitely worth the wait. The store in Bellevue have changed. It used to be the best Ross to go to but now it's like a Salvation Army. The downtown Ross is amazing and so are a few on the North End
Decent selection, probably the best of Rosses in the area in that regard. First floor contains women's clothing and shoes, if you go to -1 you will find suitcases, home decorations, kitchen stuff, children's section / toys, and men's clothing. Fitting rooms are in the first floor. Location is not the best, Seattle downtown, so a lot of homeless people.
The staff here are great and so are the selections. Ross has always been amazing for getting great stuff on a budget. Things to keep in mind, this is downtown and is a discount store. If you’re expecting high society, then you’re not great at setting proper expectations. If you have a realistic view of how life really works, you’ll be in good company.
The prices were great , but the fact that they had plenty staff on the floor and only ONE cashier operating, while there was a line of at least 30 people, was completely unprofessional. However the cashier that WAS working was working her tail off. So, Lexi,, you ROCK, and your professional attitude during all that chaos is if nothing , encouraging!!!
I love the selection and pricing! But the place needs a remodel for sure, and the negativity right outside the door is less than comfortable and other than the staff following every person around like they have a "might be a thief" sign taped to their backs, I will keep shopping there, I like it enough and get a great deal every time I shop there
Good deals but it's almost not really worth it. A lot of the clothes have been permanently damaged by the security tags that they have to put on everything because there's so much theft. They also never have more than 2-3 cashiers ringing even when there's a line of 30 people. It always takes 20 min or more to check out.
Can be some very decent prices on some items but be prepared to wait in line for a half a hour for the checkout line is needing some more personnel they only have 2 !!! Maybe 3 if you catch them at the right time I don't know if it's because they can't find people or if it's because he's not willing to pay for labor
Moved to Seattle from Chicago recently, and was told to invest in a good rain jacket, and ROSS was my first choice and found a reduced priced name brand rain jacket. Great shopping experience, but only wished the location was at a more safer location. I didnt feel safe outside the store with my items …
This is located close to Pike Place and our hotel.... this place was so messy and very little selection! Similar to a Winners in Canada... didn't exactly feel safe as there are lots of homeless and addicts around... there was, however lots of security and police patrolling the streets... sorry no pics
Great selection (and obviously very valuable prices) but, the check out line seems to regularly be way too long. Went in today and walked right out after seeing the line snaking out of the stantions and into the aisles. Seems like they need to hire more people and/or schedule more appropriately...
I really like shopping at Ross. Being a single parent, every penny counts and Ross helps stretch those pennies. I have gotten everything from clothing and shoes to housewares and gadgets. It's downtown, so you may see someone "shopping" without paying; makes me jealous that I can't steal too!
thrifting that is actually affordable rather than other overpriced trendy thrift stores in the area. happy I gave this place a shot! *this corner has a lot of folks having a hard time and can sometimes be a little dangerous. would recommend being cautious and smart about it if/when you go.
This store is a dump. I mean inside the store it isn't bad but right outside the front doors is zombie land just homeless And drug addicts everywhere it's not cool but it's gotten so bad the cops just sit back and watch. Anyways uta a Ross just outside the doors is a dump.
We go to Ross all the time. The shopping is great. The only problem is that they never have enough cashier's working. The last time I went, it took me 15 minutes to get what I needed, and about 45 minutes to cash out and leave. If you're in a hurry, not the place for you.
Went shopping for a belt. I just realized how expensive some of them are. I ended up buying one in about the middle. It has holes all the way around it so when it stretches out some, Is can start using a different one. My other belt i had before only had so many
Shopping at the downtown Seattle location is an experience in affordability. They have a wide selection of products for all ages. The staff that are so busy but are very helpful. I found shopping and browsing at this location to be a very pleasant experience.
Lives upto its name of dress for less. One can get a wide range of clothing at affordable prices and the store keeps a good collection every week. Only hassle is the presence of a group of homeless people near the store that makes its bit jittery to enter.
I haven't been here since 2012. Enjoyed shopping here in 1999 on pay days. Cool treasures. Only thing is in 2012 they closed the restrooms and I had to hike down the block and buy something at MacDonald's to use their restroom. So I took away a star.
Great selection, excellent prices, but 4 stars for the neighborhood. Be sure to go during the day and with a couple of friends if you're from out of town. There was a security guard at the entrance who was thankfully very diligent about his job.
Bomb prices low as can be it's amazing I love this Ross in particular. It's the best one in this area by far. Just stay alert on your way back to your car or hotel or apartment, people are getting desperate out there on "the blade" as it's known
This was a decent Ross store right in the heart of downtown. Good selection of items in a very friendly staff to help you check out quickly. Surrounding area is a bit rough, probably due to the homeless problem, but the store itself was good.
Today with 3 cashiers the line was long and moved slow. My wife had commented that the condition of the store here in downtown Seattle looked and felt like it was on it's last leg and maybe closing, it looked rather run down and grimmie.
the store is ok (it has some good products, but doesn't always have what we want), but it's in a sketchy location, so getting in and out isn't safe due to the drug-addicted homeless population nearby, and security doesn't catch thieves.
Pretty standard Ross. Good selection and affordable prices! Don’t come here at night time or nearing the end of day. I haven’t figured it out yet, but for some reason the homeless make large groups around this Ross around night time.
It was very seedy. Maybe not their fault but the cashier was very rude and it made the experience terrible. I will say I did like the amount of items to look at but there wasn't much for me in my xs/a size.
This location has a huge selection of everything. Bigger selection of men's clothing than Marshall's and other discounted department stores. But it's the people outside of the store that isn't so inviting.
Better than other Ross locations. Probably because of its proximity to some high end stores. Sometimes they have brand name clothes and accessories for a fraction of original price. Long checkout though.
Definetly Ross Store is one of my favorite place to buy my clothes, they always have good discount and variety of styles. The security and people who work there, they always support their customers.
Messy racks. I counted 27 people in line. Check out took a while. Found Pooh bear and Nike. Was happy for that. Found a pair of leggings. Looked all over town for a pair. Will not go back though!
They have a little bit of everything and they're centrically located if you can get past the amount of socially and financially displaced people hanging around. It was very sad to see.
Messy store, way more security than folks working the tills. There were only 2 tills open with a huge line. We ended up walking out without purchasing. A complete waste of our time.
Ok store, selection is limited given the size of the store and the outside area is full of zombies but it did have most of the things i needed, mostly home/ kitchen items.
The area outside is pretty shady but the shopping experience was pretty good. Some of the offers were a steal and everyone was very happy with the gifts I got for them.
Lots of choices at great prices. They keep the store clean and organized. I was going to order some things on line but found them here at a fraction of the price
Poorly managed. This place always has a long line. Today there were like 8 employees just standing around joking, 1 register open, and like 30 people in line
You can shop. Many things like clothes, non stick, home decor ideas, electric, best store for every thing.pl.visit you will love buying there thanks …
I bought socks here. The selection is small but you can get your money's worth if you buy the stolen goods from the sidewalk out front.
The front of the store was packed with homeless. It definitely wasn’t a spot I wanted to go near as it felt unsafe and runned down.
Checkout lines are way to long you spend more time in line and no restrooms in fact no stores downtown have restrooms down town.
I love this store, prices are good, selection is good, I buy almost all my clothes from them because I live on a budget
Whenever I want to relax I go to this place and end up buying because of the low prices and lots of my needs are here.
My wife got a michael kors purse that she has been looking for our trip that she could not find on the East Coast.
There is an open air drug market outside. I couldn't get in because a woman was acting violent at the entrance.
I don't know how it is humanly possible for their check-out line at this location to be so glacially slow!
If you don't come when they are freshly stocked you miss out. Plus come early because everyone is buying
Ross Dress For Less. Is another one I love shopping at, especially on Tuesdays. With seniors discounts.
Good prices but too many tweeters out in front of the store. And no no change outside the store.
Couldn't have picked a worse place for a Ross, huh? Anyways, such good deals on clothes here!
Brand names for less. Got the cutest Hilfiger sneakers for $25. They are super comfortable.
You get what you except in a Ross the staff were very fast and any lines were fast moving.
They didn't have as much clothes as i remember but everyone gave us a good service.
I like this Ross they have alot of great clothes and shoes for a reasonable price
Nice things for good price but it was hard to find something that would fit 6'7"
The stores lines are so long be prepared to wait in line for at least 30mins
Great variety although there are a lot of homeless in the main entrance.
Great, there are many branded items, I recommend them for shopping❤️❤️❤️
Very good prices on many brand name items, but store was quite messy.
It was a little messy looked like they were re arranging the store
Great store with amazing variety of brands at pretty less prices.
One of the pricier Ross's I've been to and not much selection.
If you're lucky, you can find good items for less price.
Horebl customer service very bad cashier is very short
Best place to do some budget shopping with good brands
Found what I looked for. Acceptable price. Thank you.
Cheapest option in town. Many options to choose from
Very good places for toys and all household needs.
Feels like skechy place. Alot of racks were empty.
All under one roof and good prices on each item
Very affordable items of differeny choices
wide variety of clothing at very low cost
Very good prices and variety of products
Not a big selection and very messy.
You can get good stuff cheap
