Have used roto rooter in the past with some satisfaction as far as quality of work. However used them again to come clear a clog and it was a complete cluster of a mess. The tech ran his snake the wrong way and came thorugh the toliet, completely destroying it and making a huge mess at the same time. The tech spent 7 hours at my house trying to unclog a leak and resetting a toliet that he had to pay for. They then tried to charge me for extra time for a total of $500 +? I objected and he said oh ok I'll just charge you the original quote of $265 (included a $75 weekend service charge.) Turned of there was a clog in the city sewer after all. Two days later the line clogged again. Called the city first and they found everything to be clear. It then took another day for roto rooter to come back out and check things again. The second time they ran a camera in there and found a small piece of plastic or something in the line causing the stoppage. The manager was rude when talking to me about the situation and cut me off as I was trying to explain something to him. I have decided to not use them in the future due to lack of professionalism and efficiency.

How stressful is it to become aware of a gas leak and have Atmos turn off your gas service 2 days before Thanksgiving in an old house with gas everything (water heater, central heat, cooktop, oven...)?? The answer is "A lot!" It lasted only until Roto-Rooter said they could have someone there the very next morning!!! They performed the testing and repairs needed during the same trip, with all parts and test equipment needed already in the truck.... and then made arrangements with the City for work inspection the very next business day! Way exceeded what I thought was realistically feasible. The stress relieve gained from their responsiveness and the sense of professionalism was amongst the very best I have experienced with just about any contractor over many years. The fairness of the pricing in light of the service rendered was also just first class. I will tell all my friends to hire Roto-Rooter for any plumbing service need, and I am writing this review to let others know about it as well. Can’t say enough good things about this business. The experience from the beginning was great. Melissa who works the phones at the office was awesome. I explained my situation and the issue I had that a prior plumber couldn’t repair. She put me on the phone with the dispatcher, Bill, who told me they had plenty of line and the correct equipment to snake my sewer line. Bill called me back later and said someone was in my area. Braydan called me around 7:30 pm on a Tuesday night and asked what my issues was. He said let’s give it a shot tonight but would be better if he had his camera. He came out and tried to clear the line but couldn’t. Here is where he blew me away. He said don’t pay me tonight because I didn’t fix it. When I come back tomorrow you can. You just don’t get that from businesses anymore. He came back today and cleared the line. Top to bottom great business that is FAMILY run. This is not a corporate location so the service here is top notch. Thanks again and another big shout out to Braydan for fixing my clogged sewer line!

I called multiple times over a course of 2 weeks to get a tech out for a commercial business backflow issue. The first time I called, the associate stated we would get a call back that day for scheduling. I called the next day and the associate again stated we would get a call back. A few days later I called and the associate said the ticket had been deleted and she created a new one. I called the next day, since no one bothered to call me, and they said a tech would be out that very day between 1 and 4. No one ever showed up. I called back the very next morning was put on hold and then the call was disconnected. I called right back and spoke to gentleman who was extremely rude and said he shows no record of any ticket being made under the phone number I gave him. We only have 1 phone number. When I tried to explain to him the timeline and who I spoke to, he kept interrupting me with loud tones and would not let me speak. He became so rude I just ended up hanging up. I will never try to use this company again.

I don't know what has happened to this company. I've used them for many years for cleaning my drains once a year and for several plumbing jobs. Apparently they do not monitor what their plumbers do or what they charge. I've had fine plumbers in the past but the last couple of years I've noticed a difference. I just had them send someone to install a new sink and faucets in my bathroom. Some young guy showed up, spent 20 minutes here, put the sink in crooked and charged 427.00. I called the office and told them not to deposit the check as the job was not done. My favorite plumber, Mike, came out, installed it correctly and charged me 218.00, gave me back my other check. I don't seem to be able to impress on them that what these guys do, they do in the Roto Rooter name and it is hurting their business.

After 8 quotes to replace the main sewer line in my home, I was convinced to call Roto Rooter. I am so glad that I did! Steve came out and gave me a quote which was HALF of what a few of the other companies charged! He performed the service within 2 days and left my yard clean. Steve (and Melissa) answered all my questions and contacted me every step of the project. Here's the kicker -- Steve found a hole in my kitchen pipe while under the house and replaced it. The total cost ended up being LESS than the original quote!!! I HIGHLY recommend this Roto-Rooter location. Ask for Steve! Thank you so much for your wonderful work. Fort Worth co. - duplex visit. Nice people. Phone call re what needed done & cost. Seemed a little high - $218.50 for 15 minutes work plus travel. However, I told gentleman I had had a couple other plumbers out to deal with same issue and one of them had said I might need to ck with city at the curb. After he cleared my clog outside, I called city, they came out, but couldn't do their thing because line was clear and not clogged now. Was upset guy had not mentioned that I call city while he was there and, also, could he have told me city couldn't do anything after line cleared? I don't know, but, disappointed I now have to wait for another future clog to get problem rectified. Will have to call city again then.

We had our sink back up when using the dishwasher and garbage disposal. It was Friday after and I had called a bunch of other plumbers who didn't have time to come out until the next week. Roto Rooter said they could have someone come by in 1-2 hours. Had a call before they came almost 2 hours to the time they said. They pulled apart the pipes under my sink to try to clear the clog but were unable to reach the clog. As one plumber was putting together the pipes under my sink again the other was up on the roof going through the roof vent. The price was still the same quoted even after all the work needed. Definitely going with roto rooter for future work.

I am the manager @ Store Here Self Storage and I had Chris Rodriguez@ the Haltom City branch out to give me an estimate, along with 2 other plumbers. Something that Chris said to me during the estimate was what stuck with me best and that is why we went with him. He wanted to fix the problem not just put a band aid on it so that we would have to call them back out. He wanted a permanent fix! I appreciated that! So my company went with RR and I'm glad we did. These guys are great! We have a unique sump pump system that pumps water from house out to city line because we are below it and mike is the only guy we found that confidently knows how to fix. We’ve had him out for several pump replacements. It’s always so easy to deal with them. Their dispatch is kind, nice and helpful and they always takes care of us. They are fair, and do a great job too! This last call they had to send a different guy because mike was busy, but he said he would make sure he could take care of me and he did. Very pleased with roto-rooter.

The scheduler called me when the technician was on his way, as promised. Braden took the time to address the real problem and left our outdoor drain in much better shape than before. He could have just done a quick fix but he took his time and did the job right. He was professional and informative, and was honest about costs for additional work that might be needed in the future. The cost for this service was exactly as promised in the estimate. I'm sorry other reviewers had a bad experience with this company - ours was good and we'd use this company again.

After receiving an estimate to exchange my water heaters to tankless, I asked to begin the work. 5 weeks later and 4 broken promises of "we'll be there" they show up at my door with only a 15 minute noticed. 5 hours later the work is done and they charges is for 10 hours and 3600.00. That's a 56% mark up from the original estimate. There's so much more to this story, intercepting orders to my gas meter, trying to charge twice for the same work, etc. This was a nightmare that isn't over. I am still going to contest this charge, legally if I have to.

I really appreciate the work that Tyler the service technician took care of to clear my drain pipes. We could not find the outside drain cleanout, which he found out later was buried underneath the AC unit before I bought the home. When Tyler arrived for the service call my toilet and bathtub were not draining. Tyler climbed up on top of the roof and ran the equipment through a pipe on my roof near my bathroom area. It did not take too long before everything started draining again. I felt Tyler was very honest, trust worthy and professional.

Had an emergency clog/backup on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. 3 other locations couldn’t help until Tuesday at the earliest, but Roto-Rooter FW had their on-call rep call me back in half the time they said and arrived within 2 hours. I expected the ‘holiday’ bill to be a tough one to swallow, but the entire service was extremely reasonable and affordable. I will be switching my primary plumbing needs to RR FW from now on. Thanks!

Timely business, quality work, however hired them 18 months ago to do same the exact job but this time their price jumped 30%. I asked why, worker claimed inflation yet he said his pay hasn’t changed. Disappointed that businesses are taking advantage of their customers, I’d understand if they needed to order parts but this is just price gauging. Plenty of competition will take my business elsewhere.

A service guy came out and repaired the pipe, however, did not mention to us that he can not repair the drywall before cutting it. We actually had to stop him when he was leaving to ask if he was going to fix the wall. He responded that he didn’t know how to fix it. So now we’re stuck with the picture. My husband called and called to get a resolution and they did not answer or return phone calls!

I had called a previous plumber before calling Roto-Rooter in Fort Worth. After describing the situation on the phone to that plumber he came out and took one look at my backed up storm drain and said he didn't work on those types of drains . . . . even after I described it to him. Anthony from Roto-Rooter came out and diagnosed the problem and fixed it that same day.

Do not use this company. Did not fix my issue and will not come back out. Manager refuse to call me back to discuss. UPDATE. Tech did NOT want to look at issue and refuse to diagnose. Also management refuse to call back to address this. Finally decide to reply to this review after weeks have passed.

This plumbing service is great! I will say that they arrived an hour late but it was okay since plumbers can't guarantee times for each client. They fixed the slab leak and helped with the pipes. Also they are open on Sundays so that's also a plus. Would really recommend and they are nice people.

The plumber was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. But the price that was charged for installing a new garbage disposal was outrageous. After some research I found that they charged me over twice as much as I could have had it done with someone else

Tyler was very upfront, professional, and easy to welcome in to our home. I did think the price was a touch steep for the scope of work. That said from online scheduling to work completed in less than 4 hours and a guarantee on labor I am satisfied.

We called roro rooter for a clogged toilet, the plumber was here for 20 minutes and charges us $326.37, absolute rip off. Shows on invoice that he flushed the toilet sevral time to test the lines. Lot of work to depress the toilet lever.

Charged me; $300 didn't fix anything. Ended up needed a new water heater. I could have just saved the $300 and applied it to that. They just charged me the service trip. Lied and said they fixed it but didn't.

They had serious issues with the correct installation of my tub faucet. they sent a manager named Ray out to fix it it's fixed now. Should have been done right the first time.

When we had a problem that I thought was with their company, it was not it was with Mr. Rooter, they were very helpful in trying to get me to the right place. And very kind.

They're on the high end cost-wise, but they know what they're doing and will get the job done. They're also one of the few that has a 150ft plumbing snake.
