I have rented a SUV with this car rental company and I have a double feeling about that (that's why it's only 3 stars). The communication with the owner was a bit difficult because he didn't speak english, but he did his best by using google translate. It was a bit difficult but we both managed to understand each other, and he was patient. I wanted a big SUV as he had in his park, but he gave me a smaller but more recent car (renault duster). This is not what I wanted but I still managed to do whaat There was some issue when came the moment to pay the deposit, as initially he told me that I will use my credit card, which was fine for me, but when we met, then it was only in Cash. Then I preferred to give Euros currency, as if everything is good, then he return me that currency and I can use it in europe, instead of taking off Tenges where I couldn't use them anymore afterwards. He said that he will give me back the 150€ in 2 weeks, but I wouldn't be there, so we agreed on a bank transfer. He has been very polite and gave me his phone for all my trip where I could have internet and can contact him at anytime. He forbade me to drive at 140 km/h as it was the limit on the highway, and limited me at 110 km/h, which was annoying because kazakhstan is a big country. When I went home, I waited 2 weeks, gave him my french bank account (even if I live in Norway), and then I got the bad surprise to 114€... which is a difference of 36€, that's a lot! I complained and he told me that the bank took 22€ as transaction, and there was also another fee for converting from euro to norwegian kroners (while I never asked for that). I told him that I gave him 150€ in cash, and he has to return me that exact money, but he didn't want and said that it's not his fault, while I think it's his responsability, because he refused to give me back the money when I returned the cash. I try to negociate by asking him to send the money to a friend living close by and who will visit me, but he refused, so I have been very disapointed to have lost so much money. Conclusion: I'm honest by saying that the owner is nice, the car was nice, but if you are a foreigner, the language might be an issue and try to find a solution for the deposit if you don't want to be stolen...

Das Auto (Renault Duster) hat uns an viele Orte gebracht und für die Klärung und bei Problemen war Timur jederzeit per WhatsApp erreichbar. Insgesamt waren wir gut 7 Tage unterwegs. Wichtige Info: Eine Bezahlung ist leider nur mittels Barzahlung oder Vorabüberweisung möglich, es gibt kein Kartenlesegerät für Kreditkarten. Dies ergab keine Probleme, man sollte es jedoch vorher wissen. Die Kaution wurde rechtzeitig zurücküberwiesen! Dies ist bei anderen Mietwagenunternhemen leider nicht selbstverständlich. ------------------- English: We've had good experiences with this car rental company. The car (Renault Duster) has brought us to many places in Kazakhstan and we could contact Timur (car owner) via WhatsApp anytime. We've had the car about 7 days. Important information: Unfortunately you can only pay with cash or bank transfer, there's no maschine for credit card payment. This doesn't provide any issues but it's good to know. The deposit was returned on time! This may a problem with other car rental companies, but not here. :)

Royal Auto Travel is one of the best car rentals in Kazakhstan in terms of service, flexibility, price, customer interaction, and vehicle quality We're extremely grateful to Timur for making our trip memorable. He's more like a good friend and a guide, than a business person. There're no hidden charges and all the documents are in good place without any confusion. Communication is extremely clear since the beginning. We were given a brand new vehicle for our 4-day road trip around Almaty. This road trip is the best part of our month long central asian expedition. We requested an early pickup and Timur agreed without any additional charges. He's swift in responses and also informative too. Usually, all the car rentals expect you to either handover the car with full wash or pay them the amount. As we were running late for our train to next city, Timur accepted the car in dirty stage and also didn't charge us for car wash. The vehicles of this company are in good condition. The car we rented is new with superior performance and cleanliness. We are very happy to have rented a car from Royal Autotravel and have completed our road trip. We rented a Renault Duster 2022 and drove to the Altai area. It's pretty comfortable to drive with this car to complete a long road trip of around 3800 km. We drove past by many interesting cities of Kazakhstan, like Almaty, Uskemen, Ridder, Altai city, Ayakoz etc. It's very good to rent it to visit the mountains and lakes located in this area. The driving experience was excellent, and there is no problem driving it to Rakhmanovski Kluchi, The Old Austrian Road and Markakol lake, etc. Also, the rental process is very easy and the service is pretty good! Timur is a very kind and responsible person. He gave us all the information in detail when we rented the car! If you have any questions, he is willing to give you advice. Almaty’ye gelmeden önce araba kiralama şirketi araştırıyordum. Burayı buldum ve whatsapp’tan bilgi almak istedim. Diğer yerlere kıyasla çok yardımcı oldular ve her sorumu ayrıntısıyla cevapladılar. İngilizce bildikleri için sorun olmadı. Önceden bilgilerimi verdim ve oraya gittiğimde beni hiç bekletmeden kontrat ve arabayı hazır bulundurdular. Araç veya Kazakistan trafik kuralları ile ilgili her konuda bilgilendirildik. En ufak bir şeyde beni arayabilirsiniz dediler. Araç gerçekten sıfır kilometreydi ve çok konforlu ve temizdi. 3 gün boyunca çok memnun kaldık. Son gün uçağı kaçırdığımız için zor durumda kaldık ve beyefendi sağ olsun yardımcı oldu ve kira süresini uzattı. Uçağımız çok erken olduğu için sabah 6’da buluşup aracı teslim etmek istedik. Bizim için o saatte uyanıp geldi. Her şey için çok teşekkür ediyorum ve herkese öneriyorum. Yurtdışından gelip araç kiralayacaksanız rahatlıkla güvenebileceğiniz bir yer.

Od této půjčovny jsme měli půjčené auto Renault Duster, se kterým jsme procestovali v červenci velkou část Kazachstánu. Naše cesta trvala necelý měsíc a započala v Almaty, ze které jsme se vydali přes Šymkent a Turkestán k Aralskému jezeru. Dále jsme pokračovali do Astany, poté kolem jezera Balchaš a přes národní park Altyn Emel a Charyn kaňon zpět do Almaty. Cestou jsme také navštívili jezera Kolsai a Kaindy a pohoří Ťan Šan. Cesta nebyla vždy zpevněná a lehká, ale zapůjčené auto to zvládlo vždy v pohodě a bez problémů. Majitel půjčovny Timur byl velmi vstřícný a vždy dodržel co slíbil. Přijel a odvezl nás na letiště v předem dohodnutý čas. Zapůjčení a předání auta proběhlo také bez problémů. Tuto půjčovnu můžeme s klidem doporučit. Kazachstán je nádherná země a stojí za to ji navštívit.

I had an outstanding experience with Timur and Royal Autotravel--would highly recommend! As an international visitor with no Russian language skills, I found the rental car market in Almaty quite difficult to navigate. Timur stood out among the crowd; he went the extra mile to accommodate the needs of my colleague and I and supplied us with a vehicle that was clean, modern and well-maintained (we took the Dacia Duster). All-in-all, the customer service was really excellent. To top it off, it all came in at a good price. I won't hesitate to use Royal Autotravel when my work next takes me to Almaty.

Had a great experience renting car from this guys. Booking was done in advance and everything was ready in time for my travel schedule. I requested Mitsubishi Pajero as we were going to see lots of landmarks around Almaty area . Beautiful nature of Kazakhstan! Nice and ease paper work . Car in a excellent condition. We had an amazing experience getting a rental car here for 5 days for the area around Almaty. The owner is very friendly and explains everything in detail. You really feel taken care of here & not just like another customer. Our car (Renault Duster 4x4) was in perfect condition, with everything you need for a good time on the road. It's optimal for a road trip to Altyn Emil, like the singing dunes & white Mountains. We also went to the Canyon and Lakes in the mountains. Everything went super smooth! Highly recommended.

We rented a Duster 4x4 for our trip to Kolsay lakes, Kaindy lake and Charyn Canyon. Last moment we had an extra person coming and needed more luggage space. Timur was very accommodating and fitted a roof box. The car was given to us in a super clean condition and we had no issues during our trip. Timur was again very kind to collect the car at the airport with very short notice as we were late for the flight. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent a car in Almaty.

Брали в аренду на 8 дней для большой компании два кроссовера Рено Дастер и Рено Каптюр. Все прекрасно. Отличное техническое состояние машин. Ни одного нарекания. С Тимуром комфортно вести переговоры, достаточно быстро и подробно отвечает. Понадобилось продлить аренду на сутки, обменялись сообщениями и всё, вопрос решился. Удобное место получения/возврата авто: недалеко АЗС, рядом автомойка. Не надо сильно думать, как выполнять условия возврата авто. Спасибо.

Arabayı 1 haftalık kiraladık ve çok memnun kaldık. Daha öncelerde farklı yerlerden araç kiralıyorduk fakat sürekli bir sıkıntı çıkıyordu, ya motorunda ya direksiyonunda ya amartisöründe. Ama bu sefer Timuru bulduğumuz için mutluyuz, arabada hiç bir sıkıntı yoktu. Gerçekten kaliteli vakit geçirmemizi sağladı. Şiddetle ve kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.

Very good car rental. Owner is honest and friendly. We got car for three days. Clean and good condition. It had spare wheel and pump for wheels. Deposit and payment with cash, no card needed. No problem with returning deposit. There is carwash nearby. Really recommend! There is several car rental in the hotel so be sure to ask for this company!

Totally recommend. Timur is very nice and helpful. Without car we would not see wild camels on the road or Altynemel National Park (not every company allows to go there).
