Park
"Lots going on at this park all the time"
"This park has a huge space and is beautiful"
"My daughter (3years) loves this park"
"El parque es bonito, tranquilo, no muy grande y con mucha sombra"
"It's a lovely, medium-sized park"
Lots going on at this park all the time. During the summer, daycare groups on the playground and at the splash pad. This spot has a bench and a picnic table, though it is also beside the car park. For fall, we've got the pesky geese pack to watch out for as they slowly turn the grass to poop. There's an indoor ice rink, soccer field, and a tennis court. A few picnic tables. Another, smaller playground. This place is home to a very friendly and vibrant dog community so you're almost guaranteed to see at least one any time you may come by, even if you miss the big puppy parties. During last winter, the community was working on a DIY ice rink. I don't know if that'll happen again, but it was nice to see. If you're open to socializing, I've never had a bad conversation with anyone at that park in the year or so I've lived here.
Playground
The tennis court is right beside one of the playgrounds, like they're sharing a fence. This playground is all sand and also has a sandpit. The other playground on the other side of the park is much smaller with a little playground contained with sand, with another smaller sand box beside the playground There's a bench at this playground.
Dog-friendliness
Out of all the parks in the area I've tried, this is the biggest and seems like it attracts most of the dogs in the neighborhood. I've come across people who drive their dogs to this park specifically because it's better than the one nearest to them.
Picnic area
Lacking in the picnic feel. There's two tables somewhat close together beside each of the playgrounds. They're just small enough for four people to sit comfortably, so if you're having any more people than that, I'd recommend bringing extra seating.
This park has a huge space and is beautiful. But needs a lot of improvement in terms of structure of playground and accessible washrooms. There are other certain things which needs improvement like having big boards showing "dogs on leash" rather than smaller ones. Yes, you read it correct. People like me who are pet phobic don't enjoy the park much. I respect the people with their dogs but eventually they should also keep in mind there are people like me who don't feel comfortable with their buddies. After all it's not a dog park atleast respect that and follow the rules.
My daughter (3years) loves this park.
Playground
Could use some improvements and change of lining. Now it's sand and it gets everywhere. Would love for the playgrounds to have the rubber lining.
Restrooms
Pretty clean for portable ones. Was surprised that these restrooms don't have the odour that portable restrooms usually have.
Dog-friendliness
Enough space for dogs to run around and play.
Picnic area
Some tables need some of the wooden parts to be changed but overall good.
It's a lovely, medium-sized park. The play area isn't super well kept, nor is the grass mown. But it was nice and spacious, and very few people were there. Lots of nice big trees too, and good shade on a sunny day. There's a baseball diamond, a soccer area and a tennis area. Would come again.
Large flat park with soccer pitch and baseball diamond surrounded by an open treed (mostly oaks) zone. The park sits immediately north of the CP Rail Yard, east of Runnymede. The park is actively used by kids sport leagues in the summer and flocks of itinerant Canada Geese in the fall.
Nice park, I like the old trees. Still a few of them are left there. Park is located far from the main streets so you can not hear the traffic. The only one thing...... Just get ready for the sudden excruciating noise that can give you a heart attack when they move the train cars
I came by Runnymede Park in the fall and the tree's were starting to turn colour. The squirells are quite friendly and will come close until they realize you don't have any peanuts for them, and then they will chirp at you. - A Richard Trus review
Great big park in the Stockyards. Old big Trees giving good amount of shade in the summer time, big soccer field, baseball diamond, area to walk your dogs near the CPR train tracks, kids play ground, portable toilets on side in the summer time.
This is quite a beautiful park with mature oak trees and a full size soccer field, tennis courts, and a small baseball diamond. There are also two playgrounds and a wading pool. The park seems underused. I frequently find hardly anyone there.
Nice park in the area with beautiful trees. Soccer field in the middle, two children play area, tennis court, baseball diamond. Lots of beautiful dogs playing in the morning! George bell arena is beside it and there is ample parking there.
Medium sized park with a wading pool, two tennis courts, two kids playgrounds (not very good though) and baseball diamond and a football field. Rail tracks to the south and George Bell Hockey Arena adjacent. Large parking lot on-site.
Nice quiet park with old trees, 2 playgrounds, a wading pool, tennis courts, a volleyball/badminton court, baseball diamond and soccer field. At the moment there are also two porta potties which is nice.
This is a nice little Park tucked inside a small neighborhood has a small baseball diamond and a soccer field where you can spend the time with friends or family and have a good day
Great place to bring my dog. Friendly dogs and people all around few things to do such as baseball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, playgrounds etc. Great place to bring kids and dogs.
Pleasant enough park. Small children play area. Tables, shady area and large open grassy area with ball diamond at east end. Off of quiet street so relatively relaxing.
Love the great old Oak Trees, tennis, soccer, two children's playgrounds, wading pool and ice skating/hockey arena with a large parking lot beside the park.
Good playground for kids. Excellent skating in the winter. They have organized soccer matches and baseball here in the summer for the kids.
A nice park with big fields and a playground. Sometimes a bit noisy with the trains nearby, but a nice place to throw a frisbee around.
We always hit the tennis court when we go to this park. Would be nice to have it replaced, but we will use it as is ✌ …
Great open space. Two separate playgrounds for the kids as well as many picnic tables. Watch out for those geese though.
Go there all of the time. My friend has a dog. It's a nice place to let him ,run around. The dog not my friend. …
Good quiet little park. Has a couple of slides, swings for babies and school age, sand pit, seesaw, tennis court etx
Great place to go Pokémon hunting! So many Stops and rare Pokémon! Fresh air and trees as well, but mostly Pokémon!
Large park tucked away from the busy streets. Has large beautiful trees, a baseball diamond and a few playgrounds!
It’s quiet, it’s lush. But the engineers sounded like they were playing bumper cars with the train cabosses.
This park, in the west end of midtown Toronto just north of the Junction, is a nice shared green space.
The playground equipment is small and aged. Two tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and a soccer pitch.
Nice quiet little park with two playground a wading pool a baseball diamond and a soccer field.
Nice park! Open space to play sports or enjoy a picnic. Street parking but not too crazy.
Great park - Soccer field, Baseball field, tennis court and play grounds for the kids.!
It's a great open space to run around and play games or have a picnic on the grass.
Nice and quiet, lots of things for little kids to see and do, people are friendly.
Isn't big but such a nice park! And soccer and tennis courts, also volleiball
Semi secluded. Loads of space. No obnoxious conspicuous consumption types.
Great place to bring small kids with a natural ice rink for kids to skate
Looking forward for future improvements to this neighborhood park!
