We started having issues with our 30+ year old toilets and called around to see which local companies could offer the fastest service. Before calling S&R, we had booked with another company who promised next day service. Unfortunately, they were a no-call, no-show kind of company, and we became a little desperate for service. After reading other positive reviews, S&R was our next call, and did they ever deliver! Not only do they have the best scheduler (Alex), their entire team is professional and friendly. We had someone over the next day to inspect and do a minor repair to tide us over. Any time there was even the chance of delay, we were notified and supported with options. They even sent mini bios and pictures so we knew who was on their way! Our inspector recommended that we consider replacing the toilets (something we should have done years ago, honestly) and within a week we had 3 brand new top of the line toilets delivered and installed at a very reasonable price! We've already recommended their services to others and we're planning our next appointment for waterline hookup to a new fridge. Don't make the same mistake we did - call S&R first. You won't regret it!

We had a plumbing emergency at 11:00pm and called several 24 hour plumbers all of which we either got a voicemail or said the earliest they could come was the following day in the afternoon. We called S&R plumbing and they were the ONLY plumbing company who actually answered and could come within a few hours. They sent a wonderful technician, Domenic, who arrived, assessed the issue, left to get a required piece of equipment and returned and had the issue resolved within 2 hours. He was professional, helpful and did an excellent job. We couldn’t be happier with the responsiveness of this company, and the amazing repair done in the middle of the night. Overall, we had an incredible experience with this company and that particular technician. Not to mention the very reasonable rates for a middle of the night service call for an emergency. If we are ever in need of a plumber we will DEFINITELY be calling S&R Plumbing!

I'm giving S&R a well deserved 5 star rating for the service they provided. I had an issue with buried water pipes running to an extension at the back of my house. I called three different plumbing companies who didn't show any interest in doing the job when I told them some digging might be involved. I then turned to S&R. A technician, Steve, was promptly dispatched. Steve was at the same time friendly and very professional. He listened carefully as I explained the issue and pointed to a possible solution. He found a way of replacing the lines without doing any digging and creating a mess. I was impressed with his competence and efficiency. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I was referred to S&R by a neighbour. Made request through their website and was able to get a non-emergency appointment within the week. Curtis worked on my condo bathroom plumbing to repair issues from an old reno. He was punctual, courteous, innovative, and budget-wary. He went to tremendous efforts to access pipes through the corridor, thus not damaging my bathroom fixtures/decor. He walked me through the finished work and followed up with me the next couple of days to ensure the system was well tested with no further issues. Will definitely be a return customer when needed.

A genuine, efficient and knowledgeable trades person is hard to find and a great asset for any homeowner. This is one of the reasons why I feel it is so important to share this information with my fellow homeowners in the area. Shane was dispatched to my home for a kitchen leak and arrived within 3 hours of my initial call. He quickly assessed the issue, ran a few tests to make sure he had identified the entire problem and explained his process throughout. This plumber's number is one I will not soon forget !

Work was completed in a timely fashion and the plumber (Steve) was excellent but the billing process needs work. Called to get "pricing" and was told $35 for the truck and $89.99 per hour for labour. When it comes time to pay the bill there is a $25 fee for "parts" which was never mentioned when we called. The bill also indicated a 1/2 hour more than the time taken to perform the service...how often does this happen? Complained and it was adjusted. More transparency would be appreciated.

I've used this company three times now to clear clogs on separate occasions - each of the plumbers they sent (Benjamin Luimes and Ryan Richards, and most recently Curtis) did great work. I did have billing issues with hidden/incorrect fees earlier on, but the company resolved it an refunded me the overcharge (I edited this review to reflect that), and the billing issue didn't happen again the next time. I'd recommend them, especially for emergency services.

S&R plumbing completely let us down by not showing up the day before Canada Day this year for a natural gas barbecue set-up. They are unreliable and I would not recommend their services to anyone. If you are in the Ottawa region I strongly recommend the Fireplace & Patio Centre Shop. They were able to come do the job with less than 24h notice and did an excellent job!! Thanks to them we are able to have some friends/family over for Canada Day.

Very respectful and responsible people. The plumber came back the same evening to fix a minor drip after a long day of work with the pipes in my old house. When additional issues were identified the next morning, another plumber was on site for troubleshooting at 9am after I called at 7:30am. And he was back the next morning with the needed material to finish the work. Overall very satisfied, would definitely recommend S&R Plumbing.

Ben came over to my apartment within a couple of hours to fix an issue my landlord had been dragging their feet on fixing for over a week. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and consciencious to my living space as well. He fixed the issue promptly, cleaned up my bathroom for me, and went above and beyond to fix something else for me at the end as well. He's a great guy and was a great help to me today. Seeking emergency service. They were fully booked. They said they *might* find someone to come *after* business hours, at a higher rate. Instead of waiting, I called around, found another service >1 hour before COB. Called immed to cancel. They charged me anyways cuz "serviceman was on site". Hmmm....... So serviceman drove to the site w/o informing the client or asking if client was home? What a lucrative coincidence.

We woke up to a burst pipe from our mainline. We shut off the valve, but we were without water. S & R sent out a technician and he fixed the pipe, checked for any other potential issues, and provided some maintenance advice as well. The price was also $40 less then were we quoted from another company. It was a big problem, but S & R provided a quick solution. We'll definitely call them again for all plumbing issues.

They told us their fee upfront over the telephone, came within an hour (even though it was a Saturday evening), and fixed the problem (clogged kitchen sink drain; it turned out to be a grease blockage several feet under) within 45 minutes. The gentleman who came acted very professional and polite, and charged us exactly what had been agreed upon over the telephone. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

Amazing service. We called at 2 a.m. and a plumber was at our house not even two hours later. Chris, the on-call plumber, was professional, knowledgeable, efficient and went above and beyond to quickly fix our issue. He was considerate and reminded us kindly of the additional charges because of the emergency off-hours service. We would use their service again in a heartbeat!

I have used S&R Plumbing a couple times. The most recent was a small leak in the water heater piping connection. The technician (Frank F) was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He not only fixed the issue promptly but took the time to explain what the issue was and showed us the part that failed. I would recommend S&R plumbing.

Called on a Saturday due to a leaking toilet and shut off valve not shutting off fully. The technician Chirs was dispatched within 30 minutes of my call. He came in and replaced my toilet quickly and mess free. Thank you Chris I will be sure to call back when I'm ready to replace my other toilet or if I need any other plumbing repairs.

We had a serious water leak and Rex leapt into action same day to dig up the floor and fix the leak. A week later our shower pump broke and again Rex came again almost immediately with a replacement (and much better) pump and fitted it within a couple of hours. A call in for an emergency plumbing issue is not ideal on Thanksgiving Sunday but S&R Services provided immediate service and the problem was resolved within a few hours. Glen provided info on the issue, was polite, tidy and professional. I would highly recommend their services.

They do a good job... But When you go to pay at their building they do the take interact, and when you go back to pay in cash, they won't give you change. So you have to bring the exact amount.
