Worst experience renting vehicle from here recently. We booked directly online (not thru a third-party) for the Labour Day long wknd. Took an Uber to the Coburg location for 9:30am pickup and waited 30mins to be served as there was only one person assisting a few customers before me. Lady in front was told there were no more cars available bc of third-party booking mistake. I couldn’t believe it! No cars or any earlier notice if this mistake prior to arriving. The poor guy did everything he could to help out and eventually (by 10:30am) I was offered a car at Tullamarine Airport. I was advised to pay my own Uber to get there as the only additional staff member needed to get to the Footscray site by 11am. This was completely out of the way already so needed to go home to get the gear for a work trip 3.5hrs away. Ridiculously the Tullamarine site rung me asking where I was (it was 10:45am) because they were closing at 11am. Nobody mentioned the airport site was closing early and her reply, you’re booking was for 9:30am. I courteously reiterated what had occurred at Coburg pickup since she obviously had no clue but the gall. Obviously didn’t make it in time and was left scrambling for alternative options while on a very specific schedule. This was the worst rental experience I’ve experienced (globally) which made for a very stressful start to the day. Luckily community came through where this business failed

I made a booking for a van one month ago. I received a voicemail from the Coburg office to "call them back ASAP" about my booking because the office will now be closed on my day of pick up. I spent 5 hours today trying to call the Coburg branch back, but each time I was put through to the Call Centre but despite modern technology no one was able to transfer me through. Someone finally reached out to say that they are closed on the public holiday and I will not be able to pick up the trust this day. I asked if I could pick the truck up earlier but was told it would not be available on the date I could pick it up. I asked if there was any other solution and she told me to call elsewhere. Extremely disappointing and a waste of a day calling around.

Got the job done. However, it was very expensive, especially in the event of an accident where costs are up to $5,000, even if the accident was the fault of someone else. They also take many photos of the car in front of you before and after driving, to notice any small scratch to charge you thousands of dollars for it. Although I didn’t have any accidents or damage the vehicle, it was an incredibly stressful experience that I will likely not try again

Efficient and professional service. The pick up and return process was easy with virtually no waiting time at all. Jordan who assisted me was very friendly and knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable as a first time customer. I had to change the rental date at late notice, and Jordan assisted me through this process and made the whole experience stress-free. I will definitely be a returning customer, thank you.

The Team at Sixt Coburg were super professional and helpful. We needed a specific size vehicle to transport my parents interstate (due to mobility needs). They provided the exact car we requested (Nissan Xtrail) at a very competitive price with unlimited kms, $0 excess and roadside assist. The whole process couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Changing my review because I'm still waiting for my $200 deposit and they have billed me twice for fuel and not a word about my deposit I've called twice to get pushed out to another department then hung up on both times is very unprofessional and irefuse to hire from them again

Seamless experience! Swish pick-up desk, brand new vehicle (~1000km on the odometer), reasonable kilometres policy and a discounted rate through RACV. In terms of car/van hire this was surprisingly stress-free. Just be sure to read the fine print on the insurance policy.

This is a very pleasant car rental experience, and there are many twists and turns. I don’t know English, which is a big problem, but the clerk is very patient to solve it for me. Thank you, you still need to rent a car next time. Your store is still my choice.

The man with a nice beard at the front was very nice and their service procedure is trustful also the man. This place was helping me to put my Trauma into the bin. As I had a very bad experience in Sydney Car-rental servicw at the Sydney airport.

Coburg Sixt was super efficient! We opted to pick our rental car up from there instead of the airport, and it was a great decision. Kieran was prepared for us and the car was in good condition. The return went just as smoothly.

I was looking forward to driving a Hyaundi Kona but as not available offered an MG ZR instead. The MG I feel was under powered and not a comfortable ride. It got us from A to B safely so that’s a blessing.

We had a great salesperson - got all the paperwork done, detailed instructions on the hireage, answered our questions, took photos of the car and all of that emailed to us with our agreement. Too easy!!
