Car & Truck Rental Preston Review I recently had an experience with Car & Truck Rental Preston that left me quite disappointed. I arrived at their location with the intention of renting a vehicle. Unfortunately, my initial encounter with their customer service representative left much to be desired. The representative I dealt with was not as accommodating as I had hoped. I did not possess a physical driver's license at the time, but I had a photo of my new license along with my previous license, which I believed should have sufficed for identification. To my dismay, the representative did not accept this as valid documentation. I even offered to provide my credit card as further support, but my attempts were met with resistance. Despite my sincere request for assistance, the representative seemed rather unresponsive and uncooperative. I found the interaction to be quite discouraging, as my pleas for understanding went unanswered. To make matters worse, it appeared that the representative was disorganized and struggled to locate my booking efficiently, causing unnecessary delays and further frustration. What was most disheartening about this experience was the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by the representative. I was visiting with a friend, and we both had reservations. Shockingly, the representative even threatened not to process my friend's booking, seemingly as a response to my dissatisfaction. It was an unprofessional and bewildering act on her part. In light of this experience, I regret to say that I cannot recommend Car & Truck Rental Preston to anyone. The unhelpful and rude demeanor of the representative and the overall inefficiency of the service left a sour taste in my mouth. I genuinely hope that they can address these issues to improve their customer service in the future. For now, I will be looking elsewhere for my rental needs. To conclude my review, I must add that they left me stranded without any assistance, which resulted in a ruined day as I had numerous plans. This experience has left me with a sense of distrust toward this company. It's important for businesses to know when their customers have less than satisfactory experiences so that they can strive for improvement, and I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for Car & Truck Rental Preston.

My first time renting from SIXT cause I have my car crushed last month. The insurance company offered my a discounted price to rent from SIXT. But I would never rent from them ever again. They offered me the highest insurance for that rental car as a Premium insurance cover. By the time a return the car, they said there is a tiny paint scratch (less than a coin diameter) on the side of the car. AND That is costing me $385 for that even I have got the insurance cover!!! That is not acceptable. And they told more than a month to refund me the deposit! That is really the worst experience ever. The customer service is also bad. No one would answer the phone call and I have to email them twice every time to get them to extend my rental. Now is my third time for me to ask when are they gonna refund me the deposit. I had multiple renting experience with Europcar and Budget when I travelling. That never happen before.

I had organised to pick up a couch on my limited time on an Easter Sunday. The night before I booked a van with this business and received the reservation email. The following morning I made the drive to pick up the van for hire at the specified time. I was met by two very confused employees who clarinet the had apparently ‘cancelled’ my reservation as there was apparently two other bookings before mine. I found that odd as I had revived no email or notification of said cancellation and there was two cans sitting in their front car lot 30 minutes before they were meant to be closing. I was given no explanation or apology and was told we normally send an email. The office also smelled and the workers seem kind of confused and incompetent. An inconvenience but atleast I know not to go to this establishment again and hopefully this review can help warn others.

Excellent service. I booked truck using SIXT app, very easy. I also received a call two days before pickup to confirm the booking. Also received email to remind bringing in driver licence and credit/debit card. It hardly took five minutes in the office to hand over truck to me and explain what is not covered in insurance. Staff was excellent snd mentioned RACV roadside assist, it is worth taking it given the price. Hand over process was as easy without any hassle. Vehicles are also pretty new.I will highly recommend SIXT. I will recommend to get insurance and roadside assist for peace of mind. Thank you

It was my first ever booking with Sixt. The front desk staffs were very well mannered. I booked online. It was so easy. I just went there on the pickup day. They just had the details of my driver’s license and bank card before picking up the car. They accept debit cards, and in that case, they keep 500 dollars as bonds. When the vehicle is returned, the money is credited to the account within a couple of business days. Overall my experience with them was outstanding. I highly recommend them.

Amazing service. I needed a car at the last minute for a work trip, and everyyfrom booking and pick up was smooth. The car (a little, but very powerful VW) was spotless and scent-less (really important to me). My late drop off was a bit of a mess BUT I only mention it in a positive way because they were so considerate and accommodating with my situation. Super helpful and understanding. This was our second time renting from SIXT and we'll gladly be returning in the future. Thank you!

We were overcharged for fuel refill $47 when we only used the car for 20km! We were told we would pay fuel refill according to the kms. The rental car was booked through racv for 4 days. Our own car was ready a day early at 2 pm which didn't give us enough time to re-fuel ourselves before delivering the car back. In hind sight should have just delivered the car a day later instead. Non the less Sixt did take advantage and we would not ever use them again.

Had a great experience dealing with the team of Sixt at Preston. I've not hired from these guys or any place before, and Abby was brilliant, and super helpful throughout the entire process. Car was in impeccable state, and did not experience any issues throughout my time using it. Likewise with the checkout process on the Sunday was just as pleasant, quick and easy. Highly recommend this branch and would definitely go to these guys again.

Zero stars...apparently I can't select that. Violated my privacy by sharing my lease with someone else. Violated the other persons privacy by accessing their data for an account not connected to their own. Refused to reply to this issue when raised. Claimed "the area manager would contact me" no such thing. Massive breach of the privacy act. Looking to take this further. Don't hire from them

The entire experience from arrival to drop off is a dream. Vehicles are spotless, smell new and clean. Sales staff are fast, efficient and informative. The entire experience is one that other hire companies at this point in time need to emulate. We hire a range of vehicles over time and are not at all disappointed with Sixt Car & Truck Rentals. Well done Sixt.

I recently hired a car from Sixt in Preston and the staff were fantastic and Maddie made the whole experience from start to finish a breeze. Even though there was a slight hiccup at the start ( which was totally not the staffs fault ) The young lady who looked after me could not have been more polite, well mannered and helpful. The car was clean and drove well. And when I left I noticed the young lady I mentioned before washing cars so she's a good worker too.

Very polite and professional I am my mum’s carer unfortunately mum suffers from Alzheimer’s and no matter how slow mum was they were patient -thank you- courteous and always made sure we were both ok Am telling everyone how amazing Sixt is. And they gave me a nice car that suited my needs too -thanks again.

It's never been easier to rent a car than here. It took me 10 minutes to get the car and less than 5 minutes to return it. Very helpful and friendly service from their staff and also the condition of the car (Van) was clean. There was no trouble at all during my usage. I am very satisfied.

Situated close to public transport and on a crucial junction, Bell Street, open on Saturdays, friendly and efficient staff. Decent number of cars. I wish they can keep their business open past 5.30 as most of the clients finish work at 5. Need a larger parking area to store and manoeuvre.

Great experience with truck hire from Brenton and his team at Preston. Brenton was fantastic to deal with. Truck was is in excellent condition, easy to drive and made moving a pleasant experience. Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be hiring vehicles from theses guys again !

Total rip off! .. we booked an MG SUV from Melbourne Airport at an agreed rate. When we arrived we were told only a Corolla was available and were assured of a rebate for the price difference .. no rebate has been forthcoming and no enquiries have been answered.

Had never dealt with SIXT but ALL other local rental agencies were sold out. SIXT, on the other hand had a wide selection available. Hired car for 4 days, and extended to a fifth with no dramas. Return was quick and easy. Will definitely use SIXT again

Went to rent car there twice as an international student. It was overall worth the price. Booked a MG HS auto but got the Rav4 Hybrid instead and it was perfect! The customer service is helpful and nice, they always serve you with a genuine smile ☺️

Easy pickup and drop off, straight forward booking, great range of vehicles. Would have liked an instruction manual for all the cruise control and other gadgets, and my rental (van) was a little bit grubby inside. But will rent from here again!

The branch could not use the digital card on my phone and I didn't have my physical card with me. This caused me a great inconvinience. The staff at the branch, though, were very helpful and booked at taxi for me.

The service was excellent but I left my sunglasses in the car, attempted twice to retrieve it , first time I called the national center and second time by email, one week later still haven’t heard back from them

Picked up and returned to the same location (Preston, Vic). Friendly customer service. Car was clean and looked like the current model. Drop-off was quick and easy, hand over the keys and off you go.
