All of the pharmacy items like common medicines, baby formula, and other personal care items are locked up. So to get any item, which you can freely buy at most other stores, you have ring a red bell. Last time I was there I ask someone stocking the selves to help me by opening the case so I could buy some contact solution. They said, if you ring the bell someone would help. So I went and pressed the bell, ten minutes go by and nobody came over to unlock the cabinet. So I ask the stocker again if someone can help me. She says again ring the bell. She doesnt make any effort to find the right person to help she just says someone will come over and help. Finally, after twenty minutes I walked up to the front of the store and found someone myself who could open the cabinet. It's a wonder this frnachise stays in business which such poor customer service. I understand why they need to lock items up, but to have associates basically ignore me and hope I go away is ridiculously. Safeway can do better and if they don't my prediction is all of them will be gone in ten years when someone comes alone and eats there lunch at basic customer service.

For the most part, there's always someone there to assist in a reasonable amount of time. They are small but they do their best to help the line through, if there is one and in most cases, if there is, the wait is minimal. Waiting room off to the side to dial in your phone tasks while you wait. More importantly & more often then not, they will have your meds and if not they will have them the following day. Not convenient when you must return but they serve a pretty densely populated area. Lastly, They are good about texting the status of your meds completion and ready for pick up times to you. All that and a flu shot too, what else can you ask for? - Oh yeah, the Corona Virus shot! Or 2.. -soon enough.. Can't get here fast enough! -Stay safe

if i could give ZERO stars i would cause this pharmacy with their “newer” staff is TERRIBLE! for being a pharmacy they sure HATE dispensing “certain types” of medications….pharmacist JEN likes to play GOD so BEWARE….she will conjure up any excuse in the world to not dispense your medication all while calling it their “POLICY”…..SICK BEHAVIOR towards really ill people with a DISEASE that is already enough to BARE without someone who didn’t get a doctorate degree but wants to DECIDE just WHEN you can leave WITH your MEDICATIONS when JEN feels when it’s READY for you to do so…..GOD BLESS YOU JEN….may you never get sick & need your medication & have this DONE TO YOU…..

My doctor called in my prescription at 8:30 and left a voicemail because the pharmacy opens at 9. I knew they didn’t have my contact info but I figured it’d be ready by 11:30 so I went by. They had not yet checked their voicemail - 2.5 hours after opening! - so hadn’t received my prescription or started to fill it. They told me it would be half an hour before it’d be ready. I didn’t want to wait in this depressing Safeway so now I need to come back later.

My local Safeway has improved its overall quality in big ways over the last decade. I loved being able to get organic produce 24/7. Last year it began closing at 2am and the scene was utter chaos every time I shopped. I needed to get a few things tonight and found out it closes at midnight. I have no reason to shop there now. I am not happy.

So slow and always takes 30+ minutes to get the meds even after they text you that your med is ready. Expect to stay here for awhile and make calls to your doctor and insurance because their system sucks. Onetime the pharmacist gave me wrong instructions and I had to reconfirm with my doctor. Pharmacists here are not knowledgeable and rude.

Picking up our online order was SUPER easy and we were helped by the most cheerful person ever! Jovy was a sheer delight in walking us through the substitutions she made, which were incredibly thoughtful in ensuring we had the best produce. It honestly put us in the best mood for the rest of the day! Thank you, Jovy!

I was repeatedly told by the pharmacy manager here that the pharmacy here could not fill my entire prescription because Safeway would not make enough money on the transaction (I was using GoodRx). I was never able to get them to fill more than a partial prescription. When I changed Safeways this problem went away.

Why have I been been wasting so much time and money at Walgreens? Prescriptions at Safeway are far less expensive… in many cases 60% less than Walgreens. The staff at Safeway is fast and efficient as well. Goodbye forever, Walgreens!

My experience was not good. Two employees were yelling at each other, one of which was a manager. Very skid row like atmosphere! There is always a lot of people who are one drugs in front of the store.

Last time I was there, the pharmacy clerk was rude. The Pharmacies were great though. Small pharmacy but always have my meds.
