I've always shopped here as much as possible because they are in my neighborhood and I want to support local businesses. I don't mind paying a little more to shop here. And it's nice of them to try to make shopping more safe for us in these times. But the store manager was at the cash register today, was in a horrible mood and made me uncomfortable. He got mad at me because I wanted to insert my credit card to the machine, instead of him. He is touching the cash and credit/debit cards of hundreds of customers (it's busy today, everyone buying swamp cooler materials), so I didn't want him to touch my card. I told him I have sick family members at home. His response? We're all gonna get the virus. I'd rather go to Home Depot where I know I can check out on my own, or at least deal with cashiers who let you swipe your own card.

I went to Sammons yesterday, due to another store unable to help me, because my project was a plumbing matter. The girls at the counter were down to earth and not judgemental at all as I explained my ideas. An employee named Rudy was absolutely helpful! He showed me what would work with what and he even helped me save $$ by picking out the right stuff. He even put my pieces together and when I got home, I did what he recommended to me and everything worked PERFECTLY! I hope to go to Sammonsd again to get help with my next project, because they are so knowledgeable & comfortable to be around. Great experiance!

I asked lady in the cashier if she spoke Spanish because I feel more comfortable speaking in my first language. She said, "a little bit". Then proceeded to make a bad face. I then asked if they installed swamp coolers in Spanish. She said no with a bad attitude. I proceeded speaking in English as these CHICANOS believe they are only supposed to speak English and are extremely racist. If you look Mexican I suggest staying away from this place because you will get bad customer service.

Closed at 5:45pm when everything else says 6pm. I had called just 10min and placed an item for will call, not once did they mention that they'd be closed within a few minutes. There were several other customers that arrived at the same time as well which were turned downed. The gentleman yelled from the inside through window "we're closed" I pointed to my watch and said we still have time before 6pm and he then yelled "we close at 5:45pm" extremely poor customer service.

I called today and tried to find out if you have a certain ignition switch in stock and I can’t remember his wouldn’t listen and was very rude. I’m sorry I’m a female calling and I know what I want and the part number I need! Not to mention Saturday the staff of 4 men where standing around and wouldn’t give me any help either then to call Kevin the manager and he would take care of it. You need better staff!!

Never been in samons before. Since I bought a new house close by, decided to try it out instead of driving across town to Lowe’s or Home Depot. I’m glad I did! Feels like home. Super friendly and helpful staff. Explain how things work and know what they are talking about. I ask for Rudy now just because had steers me in the right direction every time. But they all have been helpful!!

This store is super racist. My step son who is half black went in and immediately was followed by 3 employees who never did ask if he needed help. And the cashier was extremely rude as well. When handing back his card and receipt she just threw it on the counter in front of him. I’m white and they make me embarrassed. They are the reason we have so many problems in this country.

This is the worst place as soon as I walked in the guy staring at me from head to toe judging me or something went up and asked him for an a simple part and instead started helping others and left me there at the counter by myself very rude business the guy seemed like a scumbag and was very very rude and I will never go back ever again.

They kinda want you to go in and out really quick or they seem to get an attitude. They've also gotten an attitude over questions like where is x at or is there a substitute. I also would never buy another water heater from salmons had trouble with one. Then the replacement one didn't light. The 3rd one we had to light manually

Slow service employees at counter just stand there dont ask if you need help..the store stock is very limited..alot of empty shelves ..the last 4 times I've been there they didn't have simple pvc couplers elbows or reducers the only thing they had was the pvc glue..I can't imagine how this place stays in business.

My boyfriend went in to get a piece for a plumbing problem we had and they were very friendly & helpful 2 him, where he usually has a problem with good customer service at almost every other places hehe's been to or has attempted 2 go to. So besides the fact they close so early I give them 5 stars.

Super amazing! I went for a gas pipe, for my stove I walk in asked for help and immediately they did with great smile. I had to go a 2nd time it was a different person and he did help me. They are amazing I will comeback for the great service they have. Thank you for all your help.

Not a big box. A refreshing throwback to a simpler hardware store. They have all the essentials without the need for 3 story high aisles. Plus the prices are fantastic. They're not going to have everything, but they should be your first stop. You'll save if they've got your item.

Dated interior, dated/old stock and limited availability on items. Customer service not a real priority. Misplaced items. General areas are dusty/dirty. I can see why they closed down the other location. You may get lucky and find some items in a pinch? Very limited.

At this location basic stuff is very slow and supply is very limited I wonder how they stay in business that time at times. They don't have your basic supplies fittings and mostly guys at this place are very you're bother to them if you ask them something.

Arrived at 5:45pm and the rude lady closing the door said they were closed. We just needed to exchange a faulty piece we had just bought from them but we were still turned down. Their website said they closed at 6:00pm. Very poor customer service.

I've been using Samons on W. Central for 30 years. Great staff. Good for electrical and plunbing. Robert is great at making keys. Prices are very competitive. They alwas have the best selection of parts for evaporative coolers. They are local!

The most reliable place in town if you are looking for equipment and supplies. Better than HomeDepot, Harbor Freight, etc. Ask for Rudy G., he is awesome and very knowledgeable in helping you find the equipment you need to get the job done.

Very Rude service, if you get any at all. Seems the entire staff is trained to lack work ethics& common courtesy.( with the exception of one young man that did help me when done with a prior customer.) Very disappointed in the service.

DO NOT BUY A AIR CONDITIONER FROM SAMONS I bought a side draft air conditioning unit and paid 600 dollers 6 months ago it currently failed and they do not want to give me a refund or another unit these guys are shady characters

The Gentleman that helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable about his inventory. He was quite polite and honest about what size was needed and wasn't expecting to upsell me. I'm glad that this store is still around.

Its really the lady at the front desk. She needs to do her job and help instead of bark orders on things she knows nothing about. Try being polite and friendly. everybody else there does this other than her.

This location is great!!! I'm always greeted immediately & taken care of. Each employee takes their time helping you & always makes you feel welcomed. Shout out to MARK!!!! I highly recommend this place!!!!

The entrance is a bit tricky if in a wheelchair but the store is great. I buy caulk, light bulbs, electrical outlets, bolts, washers, swamp cooling pads, and much more from this location. Check them out.

Samons have always been good for me as a Contractor. You can always find those hard to find registers and older home plumbing parts. Guys are great and helpful.

Worst samons in the city. Lady at the register hates her job and customers. She has a mouth on her. I Will never shop here again! Atleast not until shes gone.
