We changed to San Juan Animal Hospital this past spring. We were so very happy with the care our pet received. We made an appt for him because Chip’s regular vet could not fit him in for another couple days. We could tell he was not feeling well and didn’t want to wait till he could be seen by his regular vet. San Juan Animal Hospital scheduled an appt the same day I called. We took him for his appt with Dr. Guill. He was wonderful. Very caring and attentive. Treated him with antibiotics pain meds and an analgesia injection. Chip was running a fever. Chip felt better within a couple days. Took him back to see Dr. Guill for his follow up and Chip checked out fine. We were so happy and impressed with the care Chip received we ended up switching his care to SJAH. This past August Chip was due for his annual checkup. He saw Dr. Vineyard. He was also so very caring and attentive. A very friendly person! We were told that Dr. Vineyard was a tech there prior. Chip always was sensitive with his paws/nails. He would frequently yelp if his paw would rub up against the furniture while he would be playing. He was a rescue dog and didn’t know much background history. Chip’s nails grew weird. During his annual check up, Dr. Vineyard mentioned that with the way his nails grew that it would hit up his pad. He did have his nails clipped during his appt and that seemed to help tremendously with the tenderness and yelping. Aunty Asha ( sorry if I’m spelling her name incorrectly) was the one who clipped his nails during his annual and this week when he was back in to have his nails clipped. She is wonderful! So friendly and had no issues with clipping his nails. Thank you SJAH for always being so friendly and caring. From the front end staff when you check in to when you leave. Highly recommended this team!

I found San Juan vets because I am moving out of the country with my dog. My vet, who was retiring, referred me to them because they specialize in international travel certificates. I only wish I had found them sooner! I have had pets for 50 years. Never have I dealt with a more professional, competent, caring group of people. Literally every employee that I came into contact with during this process was friendly and helpful. They also have a beautiful facility and are incredibly efficient (no wait!). Dr. Bennett examination of my dog was thorough, and he knew everything that was necessary for my pet’s entry into the particular country that I’m moving to. He has a great “bedside” manner. The practice manager, Sara, is one of the most competent, caring individuals that I’ve ever met. She understood the international travel process in great detail. Working with her was a pleasure, and completely eased my mind. I feel blessed to have found SJAH. This is a truly special place. I wish I could take them with me on my journey. Thanks to you all!!

The staff at San Juan Animal Hospital are very caring and friendly. Aside from first bringing my dog Moses here because of a heart murmur, I brought him in because he had a large, aggressive tumor in a very tricky area that if not removed would take his life. Moses means the world to me, so I wanted to do what was necessary. They removed the tumor, and in my uncertainty I did not realize that the procedure done was a miracle in the making; it was a difficult time for me facing the potential of losing my best friend as the healing process was difficult, but well worth the reward of having Moses as healthy as possible. They were also willing to work with me financially. This experience has taught me to have faith, and to have faith in the process of healing: The doctors here are the best at what they do, especially Dr. Guill, who took on the daunting task of removing the monstrous tumor. Thank you Dr. Guill and the other wonderful staff at San Juan Animal Hospital for both working with me and treating my little buddy like your own.

After having a horrible experience with Capital Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Walker I was looking for a vets office that has a cardiologist. I came across San Juan Animal Hospital. I called and the lady I spoke with was so kind and caring. I was excited about our first appointment. Let me say that I have 5 Bull Terriers and I have been to a lot of different vets. From the time I walked into San Juan, I felt welcomed. I was blown away with how nice everyone was from my first call all the way through our entire visit. I have been twice with two different girls and have met with 2 separate vets and vet techs. Both vets were extremely kind and willing to listen to me, willing to answer questions and very respectful to me as a Breeder. I plan on this office being my main vets for all of my girls health needs! Thank you guys for such an amazing experience! You all gave me a new hope for great Veterinary care for my girls!!

I dont know where to start...first off I lost my yorkie (Ladie)in Jan 2021 and losing 1 of 2 dogs made me very cautious of losing my second dog. I have PTSD so my dog's company keeps me relaxed and calm. My American Bully (Skye) had secretly gotten pregnant without my knowledge and a puppy was left in her birth canal and seeing her in pain had me in distress and so we rushed her to San Juan Animal Hospital and we were greeted with lots of urgency and care. Dr. Guill is absolutely AMAZING! I mean this man was very precise about what was going on with my baby and he spoke to me as if he was my uncle- like he knew me for years. I loved it. They took care of her and her post care treatments after her surgery and I am overly grateful. He, along with the staff, was very hospitable and I would recommend anyone to trust them with their fur babies.

San Juan is amazing. I boarded my blind cat Cricket there in July 2023. Cricket just had surgery at another vet. She had medications she still had to finish up. Cricket also does not eat cat food. That is the reason for her surgery. She will only eat some human food. Scrambled eggs and pasta with a hint of cheese. The girls at San Juan told me just to bring what she ate and they would feed it to her. They kept her 5 days I believe. They gave her meds and even ran out of eggs and fixed her more egg! I have a wedding out of town to attend the end of September I will be calling them again. Cricket is still a finicky eater. I think its because shes blind. Wonderful experience! From the front desk, customers, tech Meagan, and Dr. Guill I had a very sick dog that was denied care before the end of walk-in hours at our regularly used vet. Took a chance walking in to SJAH and we were promptly cared for. Meagan was so kind to my vet timid, sick pup. She was enthusiastic and happy to get to know him and converse on details to the puzzle. He does not take kindly to strangers with a rough history but he had a respect for her kindness that spoke volumes with his reactivity. Dr. Guill wasn't rushed at the end of the day and gave all needed details for excellent care even though we ran past office hours. Very grateful to the kind and patient staff! Recommended and will return!

I agree with several of the posts I am reading about San Juan Animal Hospital. I think I have seen every vet there and I have not been disappointed with any of them. They are very concerned with all of our animals and they have taken such good care of them. I have one rescue kitty who is very afraid of strangers and the entire staff that dealt with him was so kind and tried to get him to realize he was ok. Our big girl (dog) is having some aging issues and they are starting slow to see if we can get the needed changes to help her feel better and I appreciate that as vet care can quickly become very expensive! I ended up here by being recommended by another vet and I am so glad that I did!!

San Juan Animal Hospital did an excellent job examining my dog, Charley and helping me get an International Health Certificate to take my dog out of the country. This is a very complicated process and involves endorsements from the U.S.D.A. Dr. Bennett, Sara, and the rest of the staff were on top of this from the time I walked through the door. The entire process was professional, smooth and timely. Everyone there are very kind people. They all take the time to listen to what you are saying. I live over an hour away and I will always take my pets to San Juan Animal Hospital. They are best I have ever seen! I give them the highest recommendation possible! Thank you all your help!

We love SJAH so much, especially Dr. Fulton! Our Bella had a stroke in her spine 2 years ago leaving her with hind-end paralysis and is now a wheelie dog...she has received such incredible care. I attribute so much of Bella's progress in mobility to our acupuncture treatments along with some laser and physical therapy. Bella LOVES her vet visits (and especially the peanut butter kong and treats lol)! Dr. Fulton and the staff are so incredibly caring. I feel very comfortable talking about Bella's issues and asking questions about thing we can try for both her and my 14 year old dog Bailey who has arthritis. I wouldn't take my pups anywhere else!

San Juan has been my place for over 17 years. They treat all of my animals wonderfully. The folks at the front desk are so incredibly kind and understanding. Dr Guill diagnosed and removed my little dog’s cancer. He has neutered my pets. He has put my pets to sleep. He is good to my animals and makes me laugh. I am pretty sure we have spent time with every vet as well. My girls are pretty fond of Dr O’Keefe as well. There has never been a time where we could not get in to see a vet and have our issues handled with compassion and care. I cannot recommend this practice enough.

I brought my dog here because she was acting weird, and my previous vet was rude to me. The staff here was very friendly. I was also on a waiting list for a teeth cleaning at my other vet, but San Juan could do it in less than 2 weeks. My other vet stated she would need extractions and one vet said a root canal. At San Juan they were able to do a cleaning with no extractions. They made me feel comfortable leaving my dog there all day, and treated her great. My dog was in a great mood and very happy when I came to pick her up.

First visit here, and I was so pleased. The office smells nice and clean and fresh. The people at the counter were friendly and efficient. The office cat Simon, was friendly and quite handsome. The tech was gentle and careful with my cat. We saw Dr. O'Keefe who was also kind with my senior cat, did a thorough evaluation and prescribed a course of treatment which really helped. What more can you ask for?! Highly recommend.

My family has been going to San Juan Animal Hospital for many years and we would never go anywhere else. The staff and doctors are all so amazing and we trust them 100% with our dog. They're always kind and sympathetic and when we leave there we always feel that our dog with be fine. I take my 2 fur babies to San Juan Animal Hospital for both their Veterinary and Boarding services. Their staff is both courteous and professional and I am able to enjoy my trips knowing that they are in capable hands should any emergency happen. The staff are so good to my babies and the Vet Techs and Drs are gentle when handling my babies. They are absolutely the best!

I love this practice! The veterinarians are so kind and professional and make each dog owner feel like family. I live 35 minutes away and ALWAYS bring my cats here. These doctors care about their paw-patients.
