We went there long time ago for the first time and we have been so disappointed that we never came back until today . This cafe is a bit confidential , attached to an hotel with a large green area of grass . Perfect if you have a furry friend . They are offering water to our dog . So yes Définetly dog friendly. Today service was good : fast and smily . The food was great , except the coffee which is still not the best but they tried their possible to please me . There is almost no vegetarian option , but you can ask to remove the chicken from the salad as we did . Instead of chicken we asked for burrata and they charged us 6$ on the top of the 20$ . so 26$ for a salad is quite expensive. It is not the cheapest cafe around but the food is good .

We had my husband’s birthday brunch here. With 30 people, it was a big order. Vinnie and his incredible staff pulled off a coup. With the great service and a fresh, wonderful brunch menu on platters, people ate what and how much they wanted. The staff were inconspicuous yet attentive. Coffee and juice flowed, and the very happy crowd commented on the great location, service and excellent food. It couldn’t have been pulled together without the engagement of Vinnie who listened to what I was thinking: the kind of celebration, the people, dietary needs and simplicity. Oh, and they babysat the cake overnight. Great value, well executed. What a day. Thanks to the entire crew. It was a success because the advice worked. See you all again soon!

On Sunday 6th August I booked for a buffet breakfast which I had been informed was definitely on. On arrival no buffet breakfast with five or six people sitting at tables, ushered to a table to wait for friends enquired about the lack of buffet told people don't like the buffet. REALLY!!!! Was given dirty menus with food particles caked and also the table had similar on the edges. The menu offered was poor with little variety. We left and went elsewhere where we got good service, clean amenities and reasonably priced menu. In the past we have had regular visits to the Sandstone for lunch and evening meals until a very poor food experience one Saturday night. We will not be visiting the Sandstone Café again nor will be recommending same.

Sandstone is an excellent cafe-restaurant. Brilliant for lunch, especially outside on a sunny day, but has a cosey fire for a snug relaxed and intimate get together. Dinner is a step up, great for a special celebration with a group or something more on the romantic side. The staff are attentive and helpful. Sandstone provides a clear view into the kitchen and watching the chefs do their thing can add a little something extra. The chefs dont mind a chat when things wind down a bit and may make a visit to your table, workload permitting. The maître d' and staff are also friendly and interesting to talk to if you are that way inclined. Inside or outside Sandstone is a nice way to spend an hour or two.

Went here today with my partner, from the moment we walked in the door the service was amazing. We were greeted at the door by little Vinnie and were seated at a lovely table in the sun on a cool winter day. The service was efficient and the staff had personality and were lovely, unique people. Had a mishap on the order on my behalf but little Vinnie sorted out the issue with no complaints and a smile on his face. He went above and beyond. The food was absolutely delicious as well. I had the steak sandwich and my partner said that the wings he got were the best he’s ever had. Definitely going here again. Highly recommend!

Me and my husband stayed at the Miramare hotel for four nights and it was beautiful, the service was great and so were the rooms. We went to your café for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. The service and food was absolutely amazing. We could not fault it. Flavio and Lax were amazing as soon as we walked in, it was like they knew what we liked and wanted. Vinnie, Ciao Bella, he has charisma and charm, great service. Ricardo makes the best coffee. I would love to give a big thanks to lee severino who couldn't do enough and the whole family. had dinner reservations here on the 10th of July. My Girlfriend and i both ordered the beef cheeks from the special menu and was NOT disappointed at all. the cheeks were cooked to absolute perfection it was like butter. The mashed potato was creamy and delicious. The Sweet Potato Fries were perfectly cooked as well. The Staff are EXTREMELY helpful and make you feel at home. Vinny was also a laugh and treated you as family and that is what you want. If you are looking for a family friendly and absolutely delicious feed i HIGHLY recommend going down to Sand Stone Cafe

Brilliant! Came for lunch today and was not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was attentive. A very nice atmosphere on a sunny day. We had the calamari to start which was tender, tasty and fresh. A nice change from normal battered calamari and highly recommended. For main I had the pork belly which was perfectly cooked with a nice layer of crispy crackling, perfectly paired with some nice roasted fennel and a carrot puree. Not many nice places around Terrey Hills for lunch, these guys are the one to go to!

We discovered Sandstone Cafe not long ago and it has become one of our favourite places to go out for breakfast. The place itself is beautiful and has indoor and outdoor options so you are spoilt for choice of seating, whether you are just one person stopping by for a quick coffee or a big group. Coffee and food are always great, everyone who works there is friendly so there is always a great feeling about this place!

Great spot for lunch with relaxed friendly service. These guys are hitting the mark with food presentation and ingredients that you'd typically see in any award winning upmarket restaurant worth it's weight, rather than a Cafe. Sandstone is a must if you're driving through. There is also a huge dedicated underground car park which is completely free.

We had a problem. The food was generally good and the service excellent. However, our organizer rang and was assured that there were a lot of gluten free options for my Coeliac partner. There was a whole page of specials, but not one was gluten free! This is not good enough in this day and age, and unnecessary. We had been to a good restaurant a few weeks before, where nearly every dish was available gluten free. This spoilt the night for us, and we will not be back.

I had lunch here yesterday after wanting to come to the venue for a long time as I had heard so much about it. We had the most amazing lunch. Vinnie and his team made us feel so welcome and comfortable. He always checked in on us and my kids and the service was just outstanding. The food was amazing, so yum and such good value for money. I look forward to booking a function there soon. Thankyou to Vinnie and the team for a wonderful lunch.

Top class in every aspect imaginable. The restaurant is worth the trip alone not to mention the beautiful accommodation available. The world class service from Vinnie and the team ensures that every dining experience is as exceptional as the food. Meals are massive and always delicious. There are few venues I can enter without saying a word and still get my favourite drink served up and the Sandstone Cafe is one of them.

Just had a family dinner at Sandstone cafe, and took advantage of the Tuesday dinner, burger and drink meal. Everyone absolutely loved it, burgers were fantastic, chips were brilliant, and the host and atmosphere is lovely! Highly recommend making a visit!

This place cannot handle a full house. We stayed at the attached venue for a wedding the night before. The cafe apparently couldn't tell that they were going to be busy the morning after the hotel was booked out. Was refused a la carte menu and the only thing on offer was overpriced buffet with cold eggs. Coffee took 40 minutes to come. Service was straight up rude unwelcoming.

I had brunch with some friends here yesterday the location, the service was 5 + stars however I ordered the Zucchini and corn fritters possibly the worst I have ever eaten. Seriously a good fritter should be a chefs staple 101 and when in doubt google Bill Grangers recipe - mine were heavy, stodgy and greasy - the bacon and the chilli relish delicious but that's the easy part!

Amazing service, so warm and friendly. Great place to have a glass of wine.

Have been before & enjoyed it. Lovely environment & clean. However, today’s experience, with our family of 6, was disappointing. The food was rather ordinary - and we were given several non subtle messages, that it was just about closing time - even though the cafe was listed as open for another hour. Not the way to encourage custom. Quite disappointing!

The perfect family friendly dining option. Calling itself a cafe is being humble as the dishes can be quite gourmet and varied. Vinny, Ash and Raphael are attentive and the large outdoor dining options make this place unbeatable when you just need somewhere nice to enjoy a good meal. Highly recommended.

Hugh was a dead set legend. I needed a quiet place for my Grandmother and I to visit from Fernbank. She's hard of hearing and can't converse in crowds. Hugh waited on us like it was silver dining and made Nan feel really welcome. Food was excellent. For a small kitchen and staff they did a stellar job.

Always welcoming and friendly service. Everything on the menu we have ordered has be absolutely delicious. The inside area is well spaced, clean and well decorated. Outside seating area is surrounded by beautiful plants. Food is reasonably priced for its high quality. Would recommend to anyone

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Vinnie and his team at Sandstone Cafe for having the most beautiful venue and catering my Baby Shower. The food was amazing and of course no one went hungry with the amount of food that was supplied. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would.

An accidental find today looking for a place for a coffee in an unknown area - looked so nice and as we had a lovely table outside, we decided to stay for lunch - Eggplant Parmigana - yummo! Services wonderful - great spacing with tables and friendly staff. Will come back for sure!!

Lovely place. Nice seating inside and out is bench seating. Good menu and licenced. Enjoyed Calamari dish, beef cheeks and bread and butter pudding. All good. Very friendly staff with a good sense of humour. Street parking and the flies stopped a 5 star rating but I will go again

Went there for lunch and the young girl said they were fully booked under cover. Ironically there were heaps of empty tables outside that could have easily been wiped down and they could have then got our money... Lazy front serving, the owners need to train staff better..

Food is sensational. Always eat here when we are in town because we know we are getting quality food in a beautiful atmosphere. Vinnie remembers everyone's name and drink preferences even when we haven't been for ages! Highly recommend for an awesome dining experience.

Service is terrible, we waited over an hour for our food and not once did the staff come and let us know how long it would be. They didn't even come and see if we wanted more drinks. The food is fantastic just be prepared to wait and have poor customer service.

I had a white chocolate raspberry muffin here while working in the area and it was a life changing experience. Best muffin I’ve ever had. Nice coffee too and lovely friendly guy making it behind the counter! Definitely worth a visit any time I’m up this way!

Highly recommend this cafe for lunch. It's more on the restaurant end of cafes so it's a great place to meet friends for a relaxed catch up. Service is excellent - friendly and attentive. The food is delicious - super tasty and plentiful.

All menu options have been excellent, especially the stuffed calamari. Seafood risotto and gnudi also great.

Very nice experience here. The place gives off a nice and warn atmosphere and the coffee and desserts were very nice. The female staff that attended us was very friendly and professional explaining all the dessert menu for us.

Just had family catered for lunch and it was fantastic. Gourmet selection entree, lovely crusty garlic bread. Mains varied and tasty. Staff terrific and monitored everyone's needs. Generous serves. Well worth going there.

We stopped in for an afternoon coffee and it was brilliant. It is a favourite coffee spot after a cycle around the national park or when driving through Terrey Hills. The breakfast and lunch menu is quite good as well.

Pizza was taken from freezer, it had sauce on it allready, tasted like cheapest ones from grocery. Chicken with pesto from todays specials was too aldente and had no flavour. Clean place and good atmosphere.

My friend hosted an event here. Beautiful antipasto platters, juicy pasta and perfect garlic bread! Also, can't fault Vinnie's hospitality. Service was excellent. Breaky is always a winner there too. Love it

We weren't able to have lunch due to covid restrictive, but had the most marvellous scones. We have since been back and enjoyed the lunch menu. Special marks for the gorgeous gardens, the kids are huge fans!

This is a fantastic place; the service was world-standard. The food is exceptional and full of flavour. Wow! Consistent quality and excellence, been to many fine dining places, but this is in its own league.
