This store sticks to the basic (Bare Necessities), with a few novel off-brand variety items that are sure to entertain and make for great conversation...lol... but seriously if your money's tight and you're not looking to buy a bunch of fancy stuff and run with the high society people they've got regular groceries for regular folks.

Overall , it was a pleasant shopping experience. Prices are very good and the store was clean. The employees were very pleasant and helpful. As long as you don't mind using boxes or buying a couple bags, or even bring your own bag, it's a great deal. I will definitely be shopping there more in the future.

I was surprised there was a foul-up on the only register open... But the manager was called quickly and a backup cashier to open another line. The four stars was because you must pay upfront to use a buggy... Understandable for the area. Not hating just the facts.

Too many panhandlers begging for money in front of the store. Too many people drinking from open containers next door from the liquor store to where the buggies are in front of Save-a-Lot. I may stop going there because the parking lot is

Great little grocery store that carries all the essentials! Keep an eye out for manager specials! Like today only, a dozen eggs are $1 each, the reason it's that low is because that they are dated July 19th so if you plan on cooking that

Due to Harveys Supermarket closing, the last Supermarket standing is Save-A-Lot on Edgewood near Beaver Street. There you will find Commodities that are reasonably priced for a very tight budget (if you are very frugal) and go in with a

This SAL has some great deals but the area is a little rough. I would not enter during the evenings. Shopping carts are limited because of theft. Be aware of occasional panhandlers who may approach you for money. Many of the cashiers

They have redone the store which looks really nice. But I want to know why the h***. Is is your Orange juice $11 a gallon? I can go right down the road and get the same for $4. Talk about price gouging the neighborhood.

Store is old but can tell strong efforts to keep it clean. Staff is friendly but there is always only one line open unless the line is down the aisle then a manager will open up a 2nd line.

  • Willear Glimniene

The "manager" was EXTREMELY RUDE! She yelled and was disrespectful because of a shopping cart, which she said was "hers" I've been going there for about 4 years and it wasn't like that.

  • Debbie Ippolito

Very clean store. Great selection of fresh and canned foods at reasonable prices. Friendly staff who know where all products are and open more registers when it gets busy.

Was not at sav-a- lot but next door to citi trends. Was parked up front so that's why it got picked as location probably. Catching those good bargains at Citi trends.

  • Charles Griner

Good customer service for the most part. Friendly atmosphere. Nice employees. However, the lines can get long real fast on Friday evening and Saturday morning's.
