Train station
"Not very well planned"
"After my trip home from work in the city, I needed to use the toilet really bad and their toilets were locked"
"The road network around the station doesn't work for the wider community trying to access it at peak commuting times"
"Very dissapointing that the train replacement bus stop outside the station does not contain information about what dates this is running"
"Nice newly built station but poorly designed pick and drop point on Woolworths side as the entry is narrow and lazy drivers tried to drop their passengers right at the entry bend in front of lift and thus blocking the whole intersection"
Not very well planned. Parking is sparse. So I decided to ride my bike to work and got two of my push bikes stolen from the bike rack at the station! Despite there being two security cameras at the spot. There is a bike locker but it's on the other side of the station. UPDATE 3 DEC 2019 So, after losing two of my push bikes, I purchased another one and started parking in the shed on the other side of the station. Which means I use the lifts to get up and down. Not today! The lift on the Marsden Park side is not working again! No doubt due to an act of vandalism, as it's happened earlier as well. Done by the same people who steal the bikes, I presume. Something needs to be done about this. The staff need to be more attentive. I've seen people smoke on the platform, trash bins are left in front of the lifts and the lifts have been out of service twice in three months. Even complaints to the Police don't get anywhere. All the Police can do is stake out the place for two days. These may seem small and inconsequential issues but I believe it is part of a larger picture on rampant vandalism in this area. It is affecting many people. UPDATE 27 MAY 2021 I would not encourage anyone to park their their bicycles at the stand on the side of the station closer to the Altrove office. I've had my third bike nicked this week. Anyone person had their bike vandalised. The police can't do much as the security camera videos don't show the perps faces. The council should build a caged stand like it has on the side facing Woolworths.
After my trip home from work in the city, I needed to use the toilet really bad and their toilets were locked. Train lady couldn’t find a key (she was from off the train rather the platform). This morning one of the staff decided it was okay to blow a leaf blower into the side of the train (doors are sitting open) at 6:40 in the morning.... not a nice sound to start your day. Lucky I don’t have asthma. Parking is slim with all the housing and Uber’s are sparse in the area. The access point from the estate to the station is poorly positioned, the gate itself is farthest it can be away from the estate. There’s opportunity for parking in that back street however, I received a written threat from the Stocklands for parking there (seemed public property to me, seeing as all the cars drive down there, there’s a public footpath, bike racks, and no signage to say you cannot). The footpath sucks too, it’s made of big gravel and is always puddles when it rains. Definitely needs some work.
The road network around the station doesn't work for the wider community trying to access it at peak commuting times. The original station was moved & it's new location was completely open land at the time, so a really well designed transport hub could have been created. Instead, supermarkets and housing development were positioned too close to the station not leaving enough room for traffic to move through Railway Terrace to drop off/pick up passengers or park nearby. State transport infrastructure should be accessible to the wider community (not just the businesses and housing next to it). The Altrove side isn't completely built out yet - hoping that decent commuter facilities (for the wider community) are set up there
Very dissapointing that the train replacement bus stop outside the station does not contain information about what dates this is running. We used a replacement bus to get from Richomond to schofield on 22/4 when we returned to Schofield on 24/4 we went to the replacement bus stop, the sign was in place but no dates for that route. We waited ages then found out from a member of the public that the trains were back on.
Nice newly built station but poorly designed pick and drop point on Woolworths side as the entry is narrow and lazy drivers tried to drop their passengers right at the entry bend in front of lift and thus blocking the whole intersection. Police should issue fines regularly to such drivers and encourage people to drop at Woolworths parking.
A modern train station with all the facilities needed for a train station. Carpark. Lifts making it easily accessible for those who can’t climb the stairs. Public phone on the train station. Opal Card readers are located at the platform level. Bus services located on the eastern side of the rail station - along with bicycle security.
Schofield is very clean and tidy when I visit on many occasions but the drink kiosk need to be move to a more suitable place which is out of the sun the prevent the drink label for fading away. Also other think I like about the station is the history on boards on the outside of the station about the history of the rail line.
Schofields station opened 1870. Named after John Schofield who started saw mill besides the railway line. Maroon & cream colour are of European heritage. You don't have to climb steps, a ramp & lift is there. Serving T 1 and T 5 lines, very clean. 230 parking, but needs more as people have to walk 1/2 to 1 km away.
The area is still growing yet everything here has been designed for yesteryear with no emphasis on tomorrow. Schofields is quite large yet the council has allowed construction everywhere so there are small to large estates scattered everywhere with a lot of multi storey buildings that house new immigrants.
Future interchange with Sydney Metro Northwest extension. But at the moment, you can use the on-demand bus operated by Busways to get to Tallawong, Rouse Hill, The Ponds and Stanhope Gardens. There is also a brand new constructed commuter car park to the west of the train station for Park and Ride.
New station with some good facilities. Has got lifts on both sides for and a reasonable drop off area. Parking is still a problem but a I heard that a multi story car park will be built soon. Station is used by many passengers in surrounding areas. Gets very busy at peak times.
Absolutely disgusted. No one is ever here. Bathrooms are always locked. I had to wait 30min for a train, dying to use the bathroom and no one was there to unlock the bathroom. Some people have medical needs or babies to change and the need the bathroom. Absolutely terrible
Schofields Station is a fairly new train station. It is well-designed, well-lit. It is the end of a railway line, Liverpool to Schofields. The area around the station appears to be populated by new high-rise buildings. The bus services are not fully developed yet.
Rubbish. Worst planning ever. Need to park 1+km away from the station along dirt road. No parking, pick up area catering for only 4 cars. A perfect example of how not to plan. Another 20,000+ houses are being built, an extra 70 car spots have been delivered...
This is a very convenient train station because it goes to every busiest station. Even central so it has great connectivity. But the station’s toilet are far away and are dirty. But there are grocery stores nearby which is great
Very difficult to find parking. No sign at the station indicating which platform is No.1 and which is No.2 and you have to go down the platform to find out from the screens.
Should be more staffed more hours the amount of money they're making from us and can't have staff available to help after 2 PM?
Clean and maintained station. Lovely environment around with lots of future developments happening!
Upcoming city. A little crowded with the projects being constructed too close to the neighbours.
Conveniently located across the shopping mall (Woolies and Coles) but small kiss and ride space
Um bairro residencial com uma boa infraestrutura. Muito tranquilo com muitas praças e arvores.
One of the historical places named after someone who did something with his life for others.
abandon all hope of ever trying to park here after 6am or move through the area around 5pm.
