The gang found itself in the Etobicoke area after working up a sweat for the better part of the day. Needless to say, we were hungry, so we took a chance on the closest place that had food in the area; Schuey's Bar & Grill. Schuey's is a medium sized sports bar that dresses the part. There are notable hockey jerseys hung across the ceiling, posters of sports figures everywhere you look, and televisions at every desirable viewing angle. With plenty of booth, bar, and standard seating, if you're looking for somewhere to sit, drink, and watch the game, Schuey's is a solid choice. That being said, we had no interest in sports that night, and our hearts were set on good food. Between myself and a friend, we ordered nachos, poutine, and fish and chips. In order of preference from most preferred to least, I'd say fish and chips, nachos, then poutine. If we're being honest, it's hard to mess up a fish and chips, since you've just got to batter your fish, deep fry it, and serve it up with tartar sauce and fries. Still, mission accomplished. As a self-described nacho connoisseur, I can say that these nachos were middle of the road. They had their upsides and downsides. The chips had a satisfying texture and density, and were toasted, which I welcomed. We ordered our nachos with chili, which I definitely suggest since every chip that I got that had a healthy amount of chili on it was a great bite. Lastly, the various toppings paired well with whatever cheese blend they chose. I got a little annoyed when the plate was served with two shot glass equivalents of salsa and sour cream. We were able to ask for more, but the amount that we were originally served was laughably inadequate to eat the nachos. (We actually laughed.) As for topping coverage, as with all nachos, it was great on top, but surprisingly not horrendous beneath that top layer. It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrendous. If I were to simply take the food and rate the experience, I would say that everything was passable. Still, I left Schuey's with a sour taste in my mouth because the service didn't quite cut it. I get the feeling that the bar staff weren't used to serving large groups. We were left with no water for weirdly long periods of time, the waitress gave us a pained and annoyed look when we suggested we were going to split the bill between the two of us, and there wasn't much of an attempt made at cordiality. Again, if I were in the area and wanted to watch the game with drinks, I would consider Schuey's... but even then I'd think twice about it. Head to Schuey's if you'd like. You won't have a bad time, but it probably won't be the best.
I went to Shuey's last Wednesday on half price wing day. I drove far to check it out and when I got there I saw a dive bar and wasn't sure if we should go in or not. We decided to go in and try it since we had been wanting to for a while and drove far to get there. There was no one to show us to our seats but the waitress was very friendly and greeted us when she saw us walk in. The service by her was great. She was very friendly. The food on the other hand was a huge disappointment. We have been trying to find the best nachos and wings in Toronto (and outlying areas) and we were very disappointed in both. I could have made way better nachos at home. They were plain with only cheese and salsa. No onions or other toppings. We added chicken which tasted strange so we set it aside. When we grabbed a chip the cheese peeled off and we noticed that there was shredded cheese still that was not melted. They were horrible. The wings were a bit better but there weren't a lot of flavors to choose from and they didn't give us veggie sticks with a dip to go with them JUST because it was half price day! The other places we've been to on half price wing day still offered the veggie sticks. All in all we would never go back. It wasn't worth the price or the drive there!
I went there after finishing the last exam with my friends and this bar is a really good.We all had fun for hours. There are a lot of TV's to watch the games and the atmosphere was great. Plenty of space in the bar and lots of good food. Canadian burger was alright but sweet potato fries, onion rings and calamari were really good. The bar is full of 60's to 90's rock icon memrobillia which makes it so good to dine in.My friends praised the beer as well. It is located on Martin Grove Road so one can easily get the bus right in front to Kipling Station or Steeles. The washroom is crampy and old.It could use some cleanliness as it looked a bit dirty. The owner of the bar came to me and told me that he is Punjabi which was weird because i am a Punjabi and i could tell that he was lying. Overall,i recommend any Sports and Toronto Sports lover to go there and have a good time .This place is certainly built for that.
The service was initially fine. The waitress took our order. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Then we never saw her again. The chicken fingers were cheap store-bought pressed chicken garbage. The steak sandwich was a chunk of tough meat that had to be taken off the bun to try to eat it with a knife and fork. There were barely any mushrooms and green peppers and it was dry. She forgot our condiments and never returned so we could get them or a refill on the drink. For $50, I really expected better. Especially when you're ordering pub food in a pub. The backs of the fabric booths were filthy.

The other day my friend told me he heard on Q107 Derringer in the Morning that Schuey's was shutting down. Seeing as I am a die hard fan of this place, I called them the other day to confirm the sad news. Thankfully they told me they are definitely still open and were confused about the statement made on Q107. Just wanted to post this in case anyone else heard the same thing on Q107. Just wanted to say that I've been coming to Schuey's since 2015 and its always been an amazing experience. The bands that play here are fantastic (especially Zepology, Coda and Tony Springer), the food is always good and the service is top notch. Ill be coming back as soon as possible! Here's to many more years of greatness!! Rock on
We went there for a meeting with a female business partner. We get there she is standing there on the patio scared out of her mind. They tell us they are closed The lights are off and the door is locked. We demand they open the door. They tell us one drink. We come in and they tell my friend some derogatory statements about black lives matter. Then they served us some drinks and tell us only cash. I paid and they locked the door. One guy was saying he was her boy friend. I feel like she was in VERY bad danger. All this in less than ten minutes. Our Uber driver that dropped us off was still around the neighborhood. We left with them still yelling racial slurs. Very bad place.
Wow. My brother and I wanted a beer or two after a funeral showing for a beloved aunt. Yeah, I know it sounds weird. The hospitality and great music plucked us from the doldrums. What a great evening!! Food, music and great company. Serge and everyone there treated us like gold without having the slightest idea why we were there. The atmosphere is magnetic to the sports guys. Pictures of everything everywhere. Literally. Then the music. Awesome rock selection and electric atmsphere as every patron grooves to the sound AND feeling this gem generates. Patrons participate and enjoy the moments. A truly great time. Don't miss it.
One of my favourite places to be at. Great chicken wings, the hot sauce is nice and the staff is friendly, what else do you want - Molsan Canadian on tap - check. Saw Canadiens vs Leafs on the big projector screen and the place was lit up with fans. The washrooms are clean and the lighting & decor are old school dingy-dark - just how you want a classic sports bar to be. There was also a door to a backroom stage where a live-band played Black Sabbath. Beer, Hockey, Good food and Metal. Short Summary - 1. Beer - about $6 2. Food - ranges from $10-20 (portions are good) 3. Hockey - Go here to watch leafs play.
Came here for a Sunday afternoon to watch the bills game. Service is non-existent, when you literally have to stand-up to go to the bar, look for a host to placr an order. Had the chicken club which was mid... wings tasted old and refried. This is truly a Zero star establishment which is a prime candidate for Bar Rescue... the only reason 1 star is given is the fact that the owner is probably a Pearl Jam fan, by the Stickman and Yield image outside the establisment.

Nice little place for a beer and a bite to eat. When we we went for my birthday the service staff was rotating to frequently. Causing the bill to come early before we were ready to settle up. This caused the establishment to get less money for alcohol, cause we were definitely gonna buy more alcohol but they came out with the bill early. Oh well, we saved lots of money in beer that way I guess. Not a smart move for the establishment though.

Went there for casual lunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. It is hard to find good old fashioned diner type food these days. Although this was really more of a sports bar hangout the food and service was good. Ned to carry cream for coffee and d÷p fried pickles

I don't leave reviews and I'm really not trying to hurt anyone's business or anything but my God I have been pooping straight liquid since I visited this establishment on Sunday. Inside it actually looks cool there's a lot of sports memorabilia but it's just dark and dingy and please nobody go out of your way to eat here. Maybe it's good for a beer on your way home but other than that I would not recommend.

The location is very homey and intimate and the staff there were extremely kind. We were treated with such amazing service and they were very accommodating as well. The food itself is very very cheap and well worth its price and it tastes good as well. The drinks also are cheap and this bar seems like a very comfortable place to be. It's prices are amazing, the staff are extremely kind and the food and drink are good. Overall a favourite place of mine that I will definitely be visiting more of in the future.
Solid place for a game. I don't even watch sports and I'd come again The Host tonight (jimmy at 11:30pm) is honestly awesome. Food is what you'd expect. Classic homestyled standard barbeque and deepfry A true staple for Canadian quick cuisine. Specifically quick cuisine. It ain't fancy but it fits the bill! Get a game and Munch! Come in if you're a classic Canadian sports fan. Edit: came back with friends, still a great time!

My boyfriend and I were staying in the area for the night and came across this place. It was an awesome place! It’s such a down home bar with classic bar food. The chicken wings were a good size, which is hard to find these days. But what made this bar so great were the staff and patrons. It was incredibly busy but everyone was so pleasant and happy and the staff was very friendly. It really felt like a community there. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.
This is your typical greasy spoon dive bar that you love when you get in there. Normally you would pass by. But then you think of wing night. Wow. Those wings are worth it. My buddy had a burger and it was great too.

Wednesday wing nights are great. Order a drink you get 1ln for $7.5. Good selection of flavours, I liked the Cajun, butter chicken, lemon pepper, bbq and hot! Tons of hockey memorabilia and decor on the walls which gives a sports bar feel. The staff is friendly and provide great service. It's a nice low key local spot for me!

Great local joint!!! Good typical Bar food but better then most (especially wings), good people and patrons, live bands Friday nights, many sports venue's and parties! Treated like family when there, but they have a great FU attitude as well (like family... lol), especially the sour attitude from there main Bartender ....love it! Check you Political Correctness at the door!!!
This is one of a few restaurants that serves delicious food! I love to have the nachos and quesadillas here, they serve in good portions. The LIT drink wasn’t as good as I thought, so I switched to beer instead. The ambience is great, service is quick and easy.

This place is cool. Nice sports bar, good food and good atmosphere. I eat here every time I come to the city for the night. Had the Monday special tonight which is supposed to be 9.99 but was charged 13.99. Assume it was because it was the waitresses first night. All good. I didn't complain and paid my bill. Will be back. Thanks for another great meal!!

Nicely decorated with sports paraphernalia and plenty of t.v's to watch sports. Everyone was happy I introduced them to this place. them to this place because

Poutine was pretty good. Fries slightly crispy outside, soft inside. Gravy was tasty, not too salty. Cheese was actual curds, not super fresh, a little melted. Tasty and filling. Beer selection was fairly limited, though Was a little put off by a bunch of patrons talking about how they didn't believe COVID was real or something.
This is a must place to eat in Mississauga, some of the best home cooking I have had. It's our go to place when working in Mississauga the bar staff are super friendly and everyone remembers your name. Everything from wings to a delicious butter chicken, and there specials are always delicious and more than reasonable. Cheers

Grearest waitress ever. Here in toronto for business and found this place online. Not sure about it at first but once we sat down, we recieved great service. Our waitress checked on us frequently even took time to write a list of places to go while we're here. Definitely will be one of our stops when we return here.
I thought it was a bit of a dive bar but it was not, it was comfortable and felt like home.. and the poutine...so amazing!! I will be back, soon :)

Out of my comfort zone coming from a different culture in Scarborough but the one thing that was universally familiar was the server who seemed like a great, caring and kind hard working mother. Thanks for the quality service and genuine smiles :) My girfriend and her sister also felt the same way.
I’m not big on reviews, but if I can save someone else the painful experience we just had then I think it’s worth it. Terrible food, dirty restaurant and horrible washrooms (worse than a porto potty). We paid $100 for flat beer, and untouched food and then stopped at Mc Donald’s on the way home.
Ended up here randomly but thoroughly enjoyed it! The manager and bartender were both very friendly. The wings are delicious (half price on wednesdays too) Really cool, cozy vibe inside. will definitely be back ☺️

Rough exterior, but great food and service. Came with friends from all over the GTA and all agree that wings were top notch. Single server (Jennifer, you rock) kept the place going all evening. Apparently they have specials on Wed for wings and live music on Fridays. Will return for sure.
Slow and undercooked! Orders came out one at a time for each person at the same table; Ten to fifteen minutes in between each order. Finally received our wrap and the chicken was completely raw!!!! Cancelled the two remaining orders (which still hadn’t arrived after an hour) and left.....
This is one of my favorite hang out spots whenever a friend and I are off from work or studies... It's just a nice place to go chill and have some bar food and beer The servings and service are very generous I must say

Good service, good wings. Lots of TVs to watch the game. A little dark on the inside and could use a refresh but if you're finishing work or just finished playing a game at the arena you could do a lot worse than this place if what you're looking for is cold beer and quick eats
Ok, shame on me that I have not been to this place earlier. My kids have played a million times at Etobicoke Canlan. And never been in. My mistake. A local watering hole with tons of hockey stuff. A wonderous, great staff. Well priced good and a ton of TVs. I live this place.

Are you kidding me? This may be the best place to eat wings if you are full of shrooms and beer and your taste buds are killed by battery-acid-hot pepper oil but the joint's owner has a rep for ripping off the bands that play there. Beware. And spread the word.

Great small place hidden in plain sight! It's right beside the rink! No parking around the bar so you should just park at the rink and walk over. It's a two minute walk. Place got a lot of character. Tons of hockey and sport decorations!

Great low key bar for a fun night. Staff is so friendly and take care of you all night. The food and drinks were mixed well. My first time going here and it will definitely become one of the new chill spots!
Great little sports bar. Had 17 people in total, the one waitress looked after us and everything went smooth. Beer was cold and the food was hot. Recommend this place as it right beside the Canlan ice rink.
Real nice, local spot with great wings and beer. Everything is super chill including the owner who usually doesn't mind chatting up with the patrons. This is about as close to Cheers as you can get.
Place was a little dated. Butter chicken was the best that I have had in 20 years. Mild season and delicate back bite, 9.5 stars of ten. Service was extremely good. Quite surprized. I will return.
Nice, independent business. It was very busy when we arrived and they were really kind, offering to open a back room for us when I said I had trouble with noise. Good food and friendly service. A+
Great place for beer and wings after work or while watching any sports event on the many tv's. They also have awesome rock shows on stage on weekends. All that hang out there are friendly people
