"Absolute shambles"
"If you're after a screwfix this one is golden"
"I was reluctantly served by Lorna who when I kindly asked and showed her a light bulb I brought in I picked up a box of bulbs then asked are these the same ones she said yer In a nonchalant manner I bought them only find out later they weren’t the same colour of lighting so back I went I explained to her the situation to her then I asked have you got the correct lights response was I don’t know what’s on the shelf this wasn’t the response I expected especially when I said I needed help as I didn’t bring my glasses why work there when you clearly hate the job or was it because of the bank holiday"
"Poor, unfriendly service - took them 45 minutes and the manager having to take over from his colleagues to get my refund completed"
"Excellent store has everything you need! Parking space"
Absolute shambles. On a Saturday in July I arrived at a store to be told i could only order online. Even for collection. Stood on pavement and spent 20 minutes placing to collection order using my mobile phone and very fat fingers (yes there is a registration process involved!!). Having placed the order I walked in the shop to be told the multimeter was collectible but on Monday!! ..No good to me as I have to finish the job today. Tried to cancel but told I cant do that until the order arrived. Called their help phone line and NOBODY ANSWERED. Probably busy sorting out other people whos time is being wasted. Sent a cancellation email to their online contact page. It is now 2 hours since I started my purchase journey. Did I get my mutimeter? I sure did. Walked into a competitor store and bought one in minutes. Just like I could before COVID-19. Today is Wednesday I still don't get a reply from the support telephone line so I will have to go to the store again to make sure my order is cancelled. TO SCREWFIX MANAGEMENT - This is not a COVID-19 issue. This is you guys implementing a ridiculously over the top purchase/refund process and then laying off too many customer help staff issue. You will never get my business again!
If you're after a screwfix this one is golden. Well stocked, helpful and friendly staff. The machines they use to sort out walk-in (or drive in) collections are a little slow, but they'll have your online collection ready for you in moments (just find what you want and order on your phone before you head out.) Not a great place for browsing, but that is sort of the main engine of their floor space model and id generally assume most people dont need or value this when buying trade and DIY supplies. They'll always let you check measurements and reliably have relevant details on the online product description.
I was reluctantly served by Lorna who when I kindly asked and showed her a light bulb I brought in I picked up a box of bulbs then asked are these the same ones she said yer In a nonchalant manner I bought them only find out later they weren’t the same colour of lighting so back I went I explained to her the situation to her then I asked have you got the correct lights response was I don’t know what’s on the shelf this wasn’t the response I expected especially when I said I needed help as I didn’t bring my glasses why work there when you clearly hate the job or was it because of the bank holiday
Poor, unfriendly service - took them 45 minutes and the manager having to take over from his colleagues to get my refund completed. His colleagues were even attempting to make me feel guilty for ordering so many items that were no longer needed during lockdown and for using paypal to pay for them! No apology from the manager or any other staff for the length of time it took at the end of this shambolic process, Eventually I was just happy to leave the store despite losing out on the refunded amount vs goods returned as they were so disorganised
Excellent store has everything you need! Parking space. customer service is ok want to give a shout out to an employee called Hammed / Michael excellent customer service patient with me gave great advice really really helpful and kind.. Where one of other team members was serving me before Hammed took over had lack of communication skills dint even bother understanding what i am trying to explain and was not kind and his face dint even look bothered ( i know everyone has a bad day at work but try not to show it) any how I am happy. Thank you :)
Update: Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have asked for the managers in the past and they are also rude and all the staff have absolutely no sense of urgency. Use a different branch or Tool Station over the road is much better (still not great but a massive improvement). See image below, no staff on tills, I could hear some chatting around the corner and when I said hello, they said one second and continued to have their gossip (not realising I could hear) before coming to serve me.
They sell own brand products that are cheap, shoddy and defective. They make it impossible to exchange though it is their own product. I would find somewhere else to shop if you want any kind of customer service. All they want is your money. Get something with parts missing and they very politely say we can't won't help. Phone customer services and they don't/ won't help. Do yourself a favour, shop somewhere else
A couple of times now, I've ordered something for click and collect and have been phoned the day I'm meant to collect it to be informed that it hasn't arrived. Regardless of the quality, it's no good if I can't have it when I need it, or even, when I'm told it's going to arrive. If you order from here you're sure of good quality, but don't plan any work based on getting the products on time.
Great/handy place to visit always has the stock I need and the staff are always helpful. It can get busy at times but still a quick visit quicker if you do a click and collect. Plenty of parking space and the other helpful thing is the location with the other companies 30 seconds walk away. Screwfix is my first port of call but when I need some timber for a job it's just next door.
Typical awful diversity hire service. Awful rap playing out the stereo too loud. Huge queue of customers and the fella barely moving at a snails pace before dumping my good for collection on the desk and walking off before I could ask to purchase the thing I was holding. So sod it, walked out with my free adhesive, thanks Screwfix.
5* customer service from Adam and Rico - I was honestly shocked to receive such excellent service, which seems hard to find these days. They called me up when the product didn't come in, which saved me a trip, and then they called another store and transferred my credit which meant the problem was solved. Lovely guys.
I’m sorry to say that but now buying from that branch is a nightmare. Once after 2pm approx 10 customers in a shop and no staff to serve. And idea to remove a catalog it’s brilliant it takes much longer to use that screen with slow system . Only friendly staff is keeping that branch on a good level of service. …
It was my first visit at a SCREWFIX store today. Was expecting a walk in-store but straight away saw it’s “an Argos like”set up. As a foreigner I wasn’t 100% sure about the correct word to look up. The staff at the order counter was very helpful and I got my needed items in no time. Thank you very much guys!
In my experience with Screw Fix and I have some , this is the worst branch I ever saw, from the minute I received the number for my order ( 8 items) it took them more than 20 min to find the items I bought . After 20 min I had to ask the duty manager for my last item which no one could find.
Friendly staff, small shop. This last visit required me to shop under Covid19 conditions: register; download ref. number of purchase; queue, and all that palavah! Then they couldn't find my Leyland paint, but substituted it for a more expensive Dulux..at the same price. Thank you very much!
Screwfix! I don't think I like you anymore, your next day deliveries are taking 4 days now, the help to supply the materials early morning is not there anymore because you are opening at 8am and the queue is about 30 meters. I hope you will soon take action because I'm leaving otherwise
Very good service. Ordered online, with regular text updates on delivery. When one item wasn’t available in the timescales advised, they called me to advise and offer alternatives. Good opening hours during the week, friendly and efficient staff and I clean/tidy store when I collected.
While this is one of the more busy Screwfix in the country I think the staff try hard to get customers served as quickly as possible. Please be aware of the traffic warden which works on the industrial estate and could ticket you if you are not in a correct bay in under 60 seconds .
The second visit within two weeks - on both occasions a different shop assistant but both were EXTREMELY bothered to do their job - lack of knowledge or interest to help - turn the screen and tell you “to pick what you want.” The worst customer service I have ever experienced
Terrible service ever .. I ordered a ronseal upvc paint. I didn’t need it anymore which is fair enough. Called up to receive my refund £24.99 which is allowed, the store couldn’t find my order and told me my card details don’t match up Brixton for you! Absolute Madness!!
Screwfix in Ellerslie sq is great for local Plumbers and Electricians and builders and diy'ers. What you can't get in Toolstation opposite you can probably get here. They have great tool offers and are also open till 8pm More builders suppliers in Acre Lane.
I find most of the staff pleasant and helpful But the younger employees don’t know much about their products which when you are attempting to do something you have never done Before you expect to be sold the right lock to go with the right door handle!
People working at Screwfix Brixton are amazing, they always go extra mile and seems to be working as a team, you definitely get more then you can expect from such a big chain. I hope the company recognise that and rewards them for hard work fairly.
Only marked it down because there was only one catalogue to use, I appreciate it's very web based now in terms of click and collect but always have a couple of catalogues out just in case. Great service and got everything I went in for.
Great for a bit more industrial quantities of DIY bits at a more "trade" like price compared to the consumer facing B&Q / Homebase. Just remember you don't need to sign up for an account or card, but you do get some benefits.
Communicative staff; friendly; system a bit chaotic & confusing. But service was quite fast. Could have been faster if not so 'all over place.' Generally pleased. Room for improvement. Thank you, Apicust Omer
A good store to visit and as with most Screwfix branches friendly, helpful staff. The only let down here is parking. Can be a nightmare in rush hour as limited spaces add to the frustration of trying to park.
2 stars for this branch, as they did no have safety goggles in stock! This is one of the most common used personal protective equipment, you must have it. I should have given you one star for this.
The only thing that lets this place down is the lack of parking spaces available. Parking is always limited, and the spaces are too close together, considering you'll likely be visiting in a van.
The young lad was outstanding he helped me order the goods for the next day delivery as they didn't have them in stock he certainly went beyond customer service I believe he's name was Stephen
Unfortunately the paint i required was out of stock. The young girl who served me was really helpful and tried to find an alternative but this too was out of stock. Left somewhat dissatisfied
All staff at main reception are extremely rude Minimum cost of £20 plus VAT for a piece of glass 315x377mm No customer service skills Looks like they are doing you a favour by serving you
Brilliant service received from Meg L, couldn’t be more pleased with how helpfully she and her collages where in guiding me to the right product as I had no clue what I actually needed
Not helpful during this visit. I wanted to know about one of their products but they told me they weren't going to tell me anything different to what the website says. Unimpressed.
Good selection of tools and materials. Good location with plenty of parking and several other trade stores and timber merchant TS in same trade park makes it quite convenient
Ordered online, waited for 40 minutes in a que to find that items weren’t in stock- website does not show updated stock amount.. screwfix need to update there systems.
There was confusion regarding an online order I made, luckily Paul was on hand to help! Got it all sorted swiftly, with no errors, exceptional service! Thanks again!
Two star from 5.. Due to it's product is not available when arrived is very disappointing apart from that staff are helpful.. best to reserved it before arriving...
Always a long wait at this screwfix. They use the old catalogue system but don't have a pens or pencils! Maybe they will move to the touch screen system soon.
Great service, friendly staff, bags of parking outside, some serious effort put into put into keeping customers & staff safe in store 'covid19' regulations
Amazing service from helpful and knowledgeable staff Huge stock onsite and next day delivery for other items all at very competitive and great value prices
Very efficient service for click and collect as ready in 2 mins from online order! Stock online always correct, would recommend and use again …
Able to satisfy all purchasing needs for light construction business. Particularly like this store as there is a Timber/Builders, merchant next door.
Worst service ever. Cross eyed guy highly unprofessional. Speaks to ethnic people in a very different to the way he does to this white customers.
Good selection but not really a shop/store. You order over a counter so you can't get to pick up and look over the products you want to buy.
Because the app did not allow me to register for the click and collect and I travel far to get there and could not purchase the item I need
I placed my order online; I got a message telling me that it was ready to collect; I collected it without waiting. Service as expected.
Absolutely dreadful my boss ordered me a new drill had the card number it was paid with refusing to let me have it! Cheers for the help
Worst branch ever deal with. Didn’t aloud to collect my prefer by my employees also where very rude. Manager of this brunch is useless
Came here to get something for my shower. It was an evening after work. Waited 10 mins to get seen but customer service is great!
Probably the slowest branch around! Se my pictures as one of the days, 15 customers waiting in que, but no staff at tills at all.
Fast and efficient shop - stock is always great in Screwfix. Almost never do I suddenly need something and it's not available.
Long queues to collect. Took couple of hours after placing order to get message to collect even though the items were in stock
Multiple counters where you ask for a product code and staff head out into the warehouse to fetch it. Decent customer service.
We all love Screwfix you can get whatever you want whenever you want or the next day open very early Close very late …
Manager was very helpful when the traffic couldn't find my order. It was there just missed place. Great customer service.
very slow service. very stressed out staff as well. not enough people working at this place. I feel sorry for staff!!!!!
The click and collect is farcical. What's the point of it if you can order and receive good over the counter quicker...
Good customer service, vast range of products.Best to use the click and collect option as often they are low in stock.
I use screwfix daily and the customer service provided by the manager (Nikita) was surprisingly efficient and pleasant
Best place to get tools and equipment for a great price and I also suggest to do click and collect for a quick service
Good staff, thanks for helping out. Most of the items were not in stock but available for next day collection.
Great staff. I have been using this place a few years. People is very helpful. Thanks Chelsea! For your help!
Twice sent incomplete orders through SPRINT knowingly. I’ve wasted an hour of my life sorting out their mess
Was buying from Screwfix Brixton for many years now, newer had an issue, reliable service and friendly staff
Great staff, very helpful indeed!!! There is parking as its on an industrial estate but can get very busy.
Parking is often awkward! Staff seem to work hard, always polite and helpful. Que usually moves quickly.
Great professional staff that are there to help when you need. Pretty much everything you need is there.
Slowest Screwfix I've been to. Wasn't busy at all but was waiting for 20 minutes for a click and collect
Great place for all types of tools etc. Easy to click and collect. Great range of products. Nice staff.
Very neat and organised. Quick service, overall great experience. They have most things you need here.
Best screw fix ive visited yet the manager was spot on sorry forgot his name but he remebered mine.
Wasn't very well organised, had to wait some time for my order, but expected with current climate.
Put the correct phone number on Google please - I can't get in touch to enquire about a product.
Went during the heatwave. Only 1 till open and made customers queue up outside in the 35°C heat
Very helpful but prices have risen so may be worth checking with tool station round the corner!
Very kind , very quick service probably the best customer service I have ever experienced ever
Brixton great and much better service than at Mitcham this am. The fella there was just rude.
Had everything I need, helpful staff. A suggestion would be a hot and cold drinks dispenser!
Brilliant staff. They did serve me even though the shop was closed on a Sunday. Thank You.
They fixed a problem I was having screwing, now my project will be finished on time, Phew!
Super helpful. Wish they had had more stock as they only had half of what I wanted but nvm
Really helpful guys and girls working here. Very customer focused, would highly recommend
Excellent customer service from Rico. Really appreciate the time you spent helping us!
One of the better stocked shops...however parking can be an issue during working hours
They have everything you need! Staff is nice and competent. They are open till late!!
Staff are helpful, able to get hold of most things. However, queue is slow moving.
Really good looking red headed young lady was amazing thank you for helping me out
Today at least, insufficient stock of basic items and spectacularly slow service
Large enough store, followed COVID guidelines and decent queue management.
Always helpful, polite staff. With orders processed in a timely manner.
Love this place the tools and materials are well priced better than b&q
Excellent service and you can get almost any hardware at decent prices
Sometimes a bit busy, but I love the opening hours. Very convenient.
Great customer service, very little waiting time , great experience!
Great shop to get your cheap and quality DIY tools and materials.
Team have been top throughout covid. Use the app to order ahead.

Pre ordered. Welcoming and efficient staff. Excellent product.
