The coffee is decent, but the service is not. Very slow in comparison to Starbucks. In fact they have gotten more expensive, and their rewards are quite expensive to get. I don't really like the attitude presented by the place. Feels too laid back, like they are taking us for granted. There was that altercation where a woman came in screaming, and I heard that all the manager did was laugh. The woman went around insulting the customers, and started recording everyone. There was no serious measure to ban her right away. The next day, when I arrived, the woman was still there. I asked the employees about this, and they were informed by the higher ups that on the next altercation, only then they'll ban her. So they expect us as the customers to have to deal with a noisy and disruptive customer? That customer already did enough on her last incident. Even if that person has issues, no one coming into a coffee shop plans to deal with such childish and disruptive behaviour. Another thing that kind of aggravated me is that they did change the rewards system to be more expensive. At least they have an option now to redeem the points for a small coffee. But when I was trying to do that, they told me I couldn't until a certain day comes for when the reward change would take into effect. I just don't like the way of approaching things. So they expect us to just wait until then to then start redeeming our points? Or that we should just be saving up the points now? At least if we look at Starbucks, they have very friendly employees, they are cheaper, and they in fact give out free samples. They are doing what they can to keep to retain their customer base. Second Cup is not actively doing that from what I see. They are too dismissive of their customers. I hope they can learn from this. For now, I can give them credit for the quality of their coffees and beverages, and the convenience of the place itself.

I Must say that this Cafe makes me feel like I’m in Europe. Just wished they would play more Mediterranean music once in awhile . I totally recommend this place to sit down , whether inside or outside and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere with beautiful staff and friendly people . There was a lineup so I saw that she had acknowledged me and so I thought to myself ok she’s alone . Then I noticed two people behind me that were on their break so I was nice in letting them go ahead of me since they had to go back to work . The cashier then served a customer that had gone up to the her I spoke up and said I was next after waiting for so long and having let two in front of me, she started serving the customer , when the customer had pointed towards me saying I was next . The customer was nicer then she was. Now that was so so disrespectful of the cashier poor service sorry to say Tony. After having posted a beautiful review on this place and she did this . She needs more training in dealing with patience and kindness. Listening and acknowledging not forgetting the attitude and respect are keys to Customer Service . The service today August 3,2023 was unappreciated. She had the nerve to look at me with a sigh ! Come on we come there to get served with kindness. Put yourself in my shoes . Oh I’m sure you have cameras to show what happened .

have always been let down whenever i get a drink from here, they charge starbucks prices and give you even worse quality than tim hortons would. decided to give their “gelato” a chance (which is not even genuine gelato which should be kept covered in containers), they charged me $6.50 for a small, which is insane anyway, and on top of it it was the worst tasting “gelato” i have ever had. it wasn’t even ice cream, it tasted like fake sweetener or something. the server used an ice cream scoop and kept weighing the cup to see how much he was giving me, it was so cheap to look at it. i took two bites and ended up throwing it in the garbage, so nasty. very very dissapointed, would not recommend to anybody. nobody has money to throw away like this.

This Second Cup is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. Their efficiency is top-notch, ensuring my coffee cravings are satisfied in no time. But what truly sets them apart is their remarkable new management – they've taken this already fantastic coffee shop to new heights. The atmosphere is cozy, the beverages are divine, and the overall experience is a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle. Good coffee, specialty drinks/food are hit or miss. Average decor and single washroom. The place looks nice even with some of the shelves being empty, but a few of the couches have lost all their springiness and need to be replaced. The coffee always tastes good but the rest of their menu can be very hit or miss. For example the sweetened wildberry iced tea was delicious but their chocolate frocho left about a third of the drink size as flavorless crushed ice at the bottom of the cup. There have also been waits for the washroom due to only 1 men's and 1 women's washroom available. I am sure I will stop by if I am in the area and want a coffee but I am not going out of my way.

I recently visited this place, it is beautifully renovated. They have a wide selection of flavors, from classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla to unique choices. I chose the tiramisu flavored ice cream. I was very impressed with the taste and quality of their ice cream. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they were more than happy to offer suggestions when I couldn't decide on a flavor. Overall, the delicious ice cream, friendly service and inviting atmosphere make this a place I would highly recommend to any ice cream lover. I will come back soon❤️

Walked in here on a Friday night after a long day. Mrs wanted a good caffeine jolt and the daughter wanted a sugar kick. I decided to join by making the cappuccino with soy milk and requested that it be made extra hot. The cappuccino was made to perfection. Perfect blend of espresso and soy milk for frothed on top. The temperature was much better than I get at other locations and also at SB. The brownie was loved by daughter. The layer of chocolate on top made it better. Baked to perfection! You can see the gooey at the bottom, cake like in the middle and chocolate ganache on top.

have been visiting this cafe for a while, but today the barista was extremely rude and almost yelled at us. We ordered coffee with lactose-free milk, after about five minutes of waiting they informed us that they did not have it. asked for a refund, but the barista refused to give back the tax we paid. after a rude exchange, she returned the money “out of her own pocket”, still raising her voice and being angry.

I stopped by around 7pm only to be told they turned off their over and couldn't heat up any food -- my croissant was subsequently cold and stale. Also, the cashier alerted the entire cafe that they close at 7:45 p.m. when their hours of operations state they are open till 8p.m.. I think the barista was just lazy, and wanted to leave right at 8. Or maybe management doesn't pay their employees to stay past 8pm to clean and close. Such a terrible customer experience. I wasted my time and money. I should have gone to Starbucks across the road.

First time here, Coffee took longer than needed when you do not have more than 2 people sitting. Ordered Bagel with cream cheese it was cold and didn't have any taste. Ate a bite and through the remaining. If you have a Tip function in your machine see to it that your service your customers not sit behind and chat. The service industry after the pandemic is all about Tip and no service these days.

My kids and I had such a wonderful experience at the café after a long day! The staff was incredibly friendly, and their smiles made us feel so welcome. The best part was when my kids got to sample a few ice-cream flavors before deciding. The gelato they chose was absolutely delicious, and the whole atmosphere was so calming and friendly. We'll definitely be coming back for more!

Great Service and its good to see the Classic way to make coffee. Most places now you will see machine making the coffee. It's pretty much just having a vending machine behind a counter. Then you pay premium and they dispense it. I really like to see and wait as the milk gets steamed and espresso brewed the old way. The place is really cozy and the sitting is not as much but perfect place to hang for a cup of coffee.

Fantastic first time experiance here. Associate David Pham was super helpful and I was trying to coordinate a video long distance photo date as my fiance and I are from different countries. David went out of his way to compliment and support. This place will always be special to us now.

That good location for a cup of coffee is here. Very nice staff in this location as in others. There is no drive thru here just so you know. There is enough space for a sit in dining experience. Remember to get your second cup rewards card as you get addicted to this. It is located by the Horuntario/Eglinton intersection within a mall where you can get grocery, and RBC branch, GoodLife gym etc.

There are lots of tables and the service is quick. The coffee and most of the food dishes I have tried were good. I especially like the cheese melt when paired with a brewed coffee. The pastries are fine but a bit on the sweeter side for me. There are not enough power plugs but it is possible to find a seat near the sockets during off peak times. The staff could be a bit more attentive.

Bollywood music is not acceptable. Please stick to the two national languages. Staff and coffee are fine, but is this really neccessary? Will change to 5 when music is changed. If I go to an indian restaurant its fine, but I dont expect Taiko or bollywood music with my coffee. Please. Some simple cafe music will do. Thanks.

This is definitely one of my favorite spots for ice cream. I’m so pleased with the ice cream selection. The staff were also great and helpful. They were patient with me who wanted to try a bunch of flavors. I finally got pistachio, mango and rum raisin. They were all amazing. I highly recommend this place!

Coffee is always delicious at Second Cup! First time trying a store in Ontario and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and courteous! It has many tables inside as well as some outside to enjoy coffee when the weather is nice.
