0/10 would not recommend. Poor communication and customer service. I chose Sevenseas to send a box from Canada to Australia because they had good reviews, and we wanted reliability given the amount of money it was going to cost. I was wrong. After I dropped off my package, as requested by Sevenseas, I never saw it again. Their customer service initially appeared helpful, however it quickly became apparent that they were drawing out the process and were never going to be able to help me. Sure enough, I was told after two months and dozens of emails back and forth that they were unsure of the location of the box and there was ‘nothing’ they could do. Sevenseas claimed they could not track the box since it did not have the relevant labels attached. However, I was never informed the labels existed/were required and did not receive any labels when sent the box and paperwork. Nevertheless, I clearly marked the box with my name, address and other relevant details in large letters and attached the relevant paperwork to the top. Thus the box was clearly identifiable, even without the labels. Given the ease of identifying the box and the fact I was never informed of the existence of or the requirement for specific labels, I cannot accept ‘not being able to track it’ as a justification for losing my box. The box contained items of both significant monetary and personal/sentimental value, which Sevenseas says will never be returned to me. Despite selecting the option of insurance cover on my forms, Sevenseas is denying me any form of compensation as ‘the insurance will only cover after the box arrives at our warehouse’. Furthermore, Sevenseas is refusing the even return my $80 deposit because ‘costs have been incurred by the company which require to be covered.’ The fact that I am being required to pay for a service I did not receive, as well as not receiving any form of compensation or even genuine apology for the items I have lost seems incredibly unjust. I will never use this service again and would advise others to avoid this company.
I used Seven Seas to ship belongings from the UK to Australia. Shipping was on time and the goods were in great condition. Delivery drivers in the UK and Australia were lovely. However, the admin/communication from Seven Seas was just deeply frustrating. The UK team initially under quoted me, not realising that I had furniture included in the move and therefore required a MoveCube. This affected both the cost and my move date which had to be pushed back. I had confirmed my inventory with them three times via phone, so I’m not sure what the issue was. Then, when I booked delivery with the Australian team, I was told there was no possibility of getting help with moving my furniture/boxes into my apartment. This meant I had to manoeuvre a huge armchair and 15 heavy boxes up two flights of stairs on my own. Upon further inquiry, I found out having someone else help was an “extra service.” For the amount I paid, I resented that a little. However it was more annoying that I wasn’t told it was even an option, as I probably would have forked out more cash to avoid a back injury. Lots of small frustrations meant I won’t be moving with this company again.
Positives..very fast..on time as promised and Great service. There was someone available to help on the phone anytime in both the USA and australia. Really professional and really polite. 5 stars because my stuff came on time and undamaged. Negatives..trying to do this on mobile phone was pretty bad. The web app is rubbish. Definitely use a desktop. Also the prices were a bit tricky. It says the physical weight limit per box is 30kg...but I didn't read the small print on the quote so got charged excess weight fees..even though the box holds 30kg, my quote only included up to 13kg per box so I was charged $x per kg after that. Not saying the pricing is not fair..I definitely thought it was reasonable but it just took me by surprise a bit. I also put this down to trying to read things on a mobile phone. I would have seen this clearly if I opened the docs on my desktop pc.
I currently made an order shipping a glof bag to China. They change their policy after picked my stuff from my Australia address and stored in their warehouse. Because of the policy change they are unable to continue the shippment to the distination, so offer me an option to ship it back to my origin place. Then they are charging me $120 for doing nothing. I have called their customer service and their customer service ask me send email because they are unable to wipe this fee. I have to send email so their manager can see it and contact me to negotiate the fee. During the waiting period they send me another extra invoice for $100 and still not hear anything from their customer service. I have report my situation to Australia fair trading.

Then they asked me for a AUS$99 deposit which would confirm my order. AFTER I had paid, I found out that I had another 269EUROS (AUD $429) to pay for hidden costs! So, the hidden costs far outweigh the original price, by almost double the amount again- Extortionate! Also, when I called them the same day to ask for a cancellation on this quote, they said 'YES' on the phone, but not action was taken on my cancellation. I will be calling back today to waste more of my time and get the cancellation confirmed. Scamming, Dodgy, Dishonest outfit. AVOID!!!
I used seven seas to ship 3 large boxes from a London UK to Adelaide Australia. All the correspondsnce leading up to the pick up of my packed boxes was prompt and informative. Everything was explained in full detail and I never felt like I didn't know what was happening. I sent numerous enquiry emails before I even booked my boxes and the replies were always great. They supply everything from the boxes, to bubble wrap, sticky tape and even a marker to write on the boxes with! The paperwork was a bit long but that is expected. It took just over 2 months to reach my destination. The delivery drivers were all very cheerful and happy too! Very good service for the price. I would highly recommend.
Five months later still waiting for three boxes from Thailand to Indonesia. Charged me for storage when I didn’t want it, sent my boxes to Hong Kong for no reason. Worst shipping experience I’ve ever had, avoid at all costs. Unreachable customer service. Used them for a move from China to Thailand and was so happy I recommended them to many friends. No more. I feel like I should take legal action against this company. Friends shipped with other companies from all around the world and got their items in a month or two. Totally unacceptable and avoid these guys if you value your time, money, or possessions.
Really disappointing service on this occasion. My boxes were collected in June 2022 and have just arrived now in Melbourne 6 months later. They don't deliver on weekends and wont allow you to pick a time without an extra fee so i now have to take a day off work to be there for delivery just to be told for the first time today that they will only deliver to the ground level because of 'covid' so I now have to hire someone to bring them upstairs for me. Will look at an alternative shipping service in the future.
Items were missing from 4 packages out of 8. While the company was quick with their response, they had no explanation as to what happened to those items. The insurance is worthless unless the entire package is missing. I also waited a very long time for my packages to arrive without any communication from the company as to why there were so many delays. Experience has been awful. Edit: received email stating there’s no explanation and case has been closed. Stay away from this company. Poor customer service!!
I have used this company three times now over the last 3 years and they have always been so helpful and the drivers are lovely. We had one minor incident the last time but it was quickly resolved and the driver knew exactly what had occurred and fixed the error immediately. The service has been excellent and everything has gone to plan, as explained and quoted. Very happy customer. They are particularly helpful with the paperwork. They have an excellent system.
Shipped 8 standard boxes from Hong Kong to Australia (Melbourne). Very happy with the service. Everything is clear and you can track the progress online. Hotline is also very helpful. My stuff arrived within a month (quicker than estimated). No hidden fees, you pay what you are quoted from the very beginning. I am so glad I found this company, I have no reservations in buying nicer stuff now knowing I can ship them easily if I relocate again.
The WORST service I have EVER experienced. After waiting weeks longer than advised for our items. The man delivering them parked 100m down the road from my house. THREW the boxes onto a trolley then made me push the trolley across the street and up the road while he stood there smoking. The items in the boxes were also damaged, things broken and books with ripped and dinted covers. DO NOT USE SEVEN SEAS
1st class service from start to finish at very reasonable cost UK to Australia. Drivers and customer service in both countries can't be faulted. Everything was on time. Accurate tracking all the way and all my goods arrived in perfect condition. Keith (UK) and Jake (Melbourne) deserve special mention for their cheerful help loading/unloading. Thank you!
In all the confusion of COVID Seven Sea's still delivered from me on the transportation of 10 boxes from the UK to Australia. Really happy with the service, price and time of the delivery. Good experience with possessions to and from the UK. Both by ship and by air. Little or no damage to possessions. Huge contrast to Anglo Pacific. Not five stars as you pay what you think is the fee and then you get another bill for delivery locally. Bit confusing / misleading. Recommended.
UK to Tasmania shipment. Only 3 boxes but all fragile. Overall the communication, administration & customer service was very good. The boxes arrived looking like they'd been handled with care which is a key criteria. For the price and level of flexibility - good job
Company itself was meh, scheduled the delivery on the very day that wouldn't work for us. The guy who actually helped me unload was awesome - someone named Darryl. Darryl needs a promotion and a pay increase. The rest of the company can get bent tbh.
I would never use this company again, they have lost my entire life possessions and are claiming no responsibility. Appalling service and appalling customer service. Never use them again. 14 Boxes of my entire life cant just disappear!
These guys are really good. We shipped with them from the USA to Melbourne. Friendly, knowledgeable and inexpensive. They took care of our things and kept us informed right the way through the delivery process. Recommend highly.

1. Not clear from website that you need to receive the goods, not post to someone else. 2. Charged $140 to inspect goods then refused to ship. A competitor completed the job within days (arrived door to door).
No complaints and great value for money. Easy to contact at all times, consistant email communication, online access keeps you up to date, and easy delivery and pickup. Would recommend Seven Seas!
Most of my beautiful items smashed and broken don't trust using this company ever unless you want your precious items destroyed into pieces absolute shame and disgrace of handling and care .
Reasonable price for student, box was delivered to the door and packed boxes were picked up from the door as well. Convenient, friendly and fast delivery. Highly recommended.
