"EXTREMELY SHADY BOTTLE SERVICE Booked 2 bottles for a bachelor party ahead of time"
Went to the Flamenco dinner show. We arrived very early and were the 4th or 5th couple in line. They made us wait in the heat beyond the 6:30 pm start time. When it was finally time to enter, they had no record of the tickets we had purchased online from a link obtained from their website. The hostess was incredibly rude to us and acted as if it was our fault that they had made a mistake. They made us wait outside for 10 minutes after everyone else had gone in before the rude hostess finally brought us down. She said the manager would come talk to us, but he did not. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was fermented. The manager finally came over and said he had tasted the wine and it was indeed bad. I asked him what had happened with our tickets and he said that he had forgotten to check for additional orders that had come in online. He still did not apologize. The only thing that saves this from being a one star is that the dancers were enjoyable, the food was good, and our waiter was friendly. He actually apologized for what happened even though the manager never did. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s how you handle it after you make the mistake that saves you from a bad review.
this place is very discriminating. my friends and I got in line at 9:30pm before opening and waited in line until 11:15 to get in while other groups that were behind us or just got in line where getting let in only because of the designer they wear and shoes. they told us to our face that because we didn’t have any designer bags or heels on we couldn’t get in at all. they didn’t at all once say anything to us the whole time we waited until about 5 minutes before we left. they only let you in if you have designer and wearing right short dresses/heels and dress shoes for guys. i’m so upset we waited for so long with no communication just to be told we are not going in at all while they walked by the line every 15-20 minutes looking for groups to let in. they made eye contact with us 4 times but never once said anything. they knew how long we were there and let us sit there wasting time to not even go in.
Only thing I can be positive: Great service workers. Nice and fun bachata class on Wednesday. Negative: Bad music 50% bad Bunny bachatas even on salsa days, as they announced 50/50 music. Bad acoustics, sometimes you get earache, and bad dance floor organization, 45% of the dance floor full of drinking people, others kicking off each others to dance like kings of the dance floor, no respect, plus bad mood on the locals who assume they have great level. Not the novice ones. Resume: After visiting bad places to dance, where you can have fun, on the 2 day on this place,I get bored. Yes, I'm not a master, never have been, but after 8 years of social dance I have a low level to accept. Hope they don't have another latin dance club near improving that place it will be bad for them.
We were told the wait would be 30 mins, waited over an hr. Host wasn’t friendly and let a whole family of 6 cut in front of us. Food is overpriced and overrated. Server was nice, although he had like 10 other tables, he didn’t check on our table as much. I did noticed how customer dressed fancier and whatnot would get more attention and better service. By the time we ate, we were all tired from waiting in line, and again the food was okay, nothing special. It was a Sunday so they did have live music and such, that was probably the best part. The guest singer was a bit flat on his vocals but well, that’s not the point, just thought I mentioned it. Overall, my experience wasn’t great, and I wouldn’t go back. I usually take pictures but I was so upset, that I didn’t take any.
EXTREMELY SHADY BOTTLE SERVICE Booked 2 bottles for a bachelor party ahead of time. The promoter said they would throw in a "free champagne bottle", which they tried to charge me for later that night. Slapped on an automatic gratuity of $140 plus tax PLUS 4% fee to "help cover recent increase in costs" (like that's a thing) Our waitress only came once, and that was to drop off the bottles. Never served us a drink, never came back to check on us (until the end to give me the check) Her name was BATIA. I used to promote for high end clubs in downtown LA, and this is the worst bottle service experience I've ever had (I won't even go into what the rest of the flaws at this place were. San Diego Gaslamp Quarter has soooo many more options to chose from. STAY AWAY!!!
I had a great experience here. I lost my shirt because it fell out of my pocket, while I was at the club. So I went to one of the security guards names Javier and told him. I was really upset because I liked my shirt. Javier could clearly see that and he offered to look around the club for me. He could not find it, but when he saw me looking, he offered to lend me his phone to use the flashlight to look around. Who does that?? He cared enough about me to help me out!! He trusted me with his phone and I was a complete stranger!! I ended up finding my shirt, but I was really impressed with security in this club. Rudy and his crew are great at what they do!! Best experience EVER in a club!! Professionals with a heart of Gold!!
We were approached from a promoter on the street and it was a fun night. The bartender took my ID and never returned it. I called twice the next day and was told they would call me back. I went to the restaurant and left my contact information with the instruction that I would receive a call back. I never received a phone call. We went back to the establishment tonight and spoke to the general manager Ali. She advised me she was looking going to look for my ID. I waited over 2 hours and she ever returned. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at an establishment. Don’t go here.
Great club - music, decor, lighting. The bachata band was excellent! However, they let in waaaaaaaay too many people for the dance lesson. We were literally shoulder to shoulder lined up around the floor. If one person started the pattern backwards there was chaos and bumping into everyone. A venue that cared about the experience of nervous new dancers would limit the number of people allowed in for the lesson. This would allow us to move freely and enjoy ourselves instead of constantly bumping into and stepping on the feet of those around us. #firemarshallanyone?
The night club (down stairs) is alive every night besides Monday until 1:30am every night! Which is the pro! They play bachata, salsa, and merengue all night! The only con (coming from a single guy learning to dance) is that is that late night from 11- close the regulars come and leave the noobs of dancing in the dust! Try your best, but any decent looking girl will know her stuff and will be dancing with some guy who knows his stuff. The best time for new people is at 8:30pm, and follow their Instagram for a discount! I'm serious! Jeff out!
My boyfriend is Sikh by religion. He and I were denied entry to this club because he was wearing a hat. We explained that he is wearing because of religious purposes but he was ridiculed instead. The bouncer said ohh nice try saying that you wear Columbia hat for religion. How is one supposed to prove their religion and beliefs. Firstly you deny entry for ridiculous purposes and then mock the sentiments too. People should ban this club for going against someone religion. They need to learn to be inclusive and stop discrimination
I came here to celebrate my 21st birthday with me and my friends and it was so fun. They were very nice and willing to work with us since we are college students. I would definitely recommend! I couldn’t rate the food because we didn’t have any but we had an amazing bottle service and it was a great atmosphere. Not too crowded but also still a good amount of people so we had space to dance with our friends! I would definitely come back again!!

We stumbled upon this place on a pretty quiet Sunday night at Gaslamp. This place had live musicians, who were excellent! We really enjoyed the service as well - all the servers were cheerful and kind, and seemed to be enjoying themselves while jiving to the music too :) Lots of spontaneous dancing around the room, which was fun to watch. We got the mushroom and fig coca flatbread - which was amazing, as was the baked bread of the day. Drinks were great too! Overall, a great dining vibe!
Overpriced, fake, Not well ventilated music venue. If you have even the tiniest knowledge about dancing or listening to Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and so on.. you should stay away. Now if you want to see a bunch of people awkwardly interpretative dancing or trying to mimic Ben Stiller on Along Came Polly.. plus a constant mix of English songs with a terrible attempt of latin rythms in the background, then this is your spot. Asco, no creo ni que hablen español.
I really enjoyed coming to this nightclub with my friends. Tickets were $15 for admission and drinks were around $10-$20. I loved the atmosphere and how all the employees seemed happy to be there and help when needed! I especially loved the music they played, but if you’re not into the Latin songs then maybe this might not be right for you! Overall, my friends and I had a really good time!

Honesty I don’t like the place. The cover entrance always changes. I guess if they know you it’s cheaper. The bartenders are real bad at making drinks. Feels like I’m drinking a very expensive soda. Too over priced. The Dj’s are really bad. One min. I feel like I’m in a college party, then I’m in Tijuana, then Coachella. There’s no consistency. There’s way better drinks and places up the street. Management doesn’t know what they are doing.
Spent me and my BFF’s 21st birthday here and everyone rocked!! Great service all around and very fun atmosphere! Big thanks to the manager and men at the front who worked with us to make the night an extra special celebration for our whole group!! Thanks Sevilla Nightclub, for a memorable night and awesome experience! Def recommend and will be returning ! :))

We spent a nice evening at Sevilla. They had live music and the vibe was nice. Our servant was very nice but she had to handle alot of tables and they seemed to be under-staffed. We had different tapas and paella. The food was good (I really liked their calamari). Their drink was good, they have a collection of housemade sangrias that were nice, but my favorite was my Iberico old fashioned.
Bachata Tuesdays is actually speed dating with awkward dudes who won’t stop talking when they’re teaching the moves . I told the instructor and he said that maybe this night “wasn’t for me”. So unless you’re going to be chatted up by 20 dudes who can’t dance in 10 min increments— hard pass *the club itself was nice and the music was good; drinks $13 each
The place and the music was not good... The organizers / security guards are not friendly. They are try to make the longest line as possible outside to make the impression it is popular nice club, but when u enter you see empty space with music not good and a humble decoration/style. So it is not recommended try Cuban nightclubs will be much nicer.
I went here past night for happy hour. We had sangria and croquettes. We also had paella for dinner. It came with seafood clams mussels and shrimp. Everything we had was good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We sat outside on the patio and I think they have indoor seating as well. Parking can take some time to find so arrive early.
So this weekend was my first time ever going to the Gaslamp District in San Diego and coming to Sevilla Nightclub and from the Second I met the infamous Djkien Dj Ekutz Twiinz at their glow party it was beyond incredible our Host Hannah was the Bomb, I swear it was like a Damm Dream!!! I cant wait to go back for My Bday!!!! See you again!!!!
The live salsa band ($12 cover) on Wed, Jan 16th, was stellar. They played classics well and showed off their solo flutist. Bachata was only played during their breaks and the range of dancers is wide, there isn't a whole lot of space and lots of dancers are not space aware. Over all, it was a great experience and will return.
The manager was welcoming and nice and walked us downstairs to the club. The D.J. kept the vibes and the rhythm going all night, plenty of room to dance. Bar service was fast, and the drinks were great. Great place to let loose and dance off diner from their restaurant next door.

Food was amazing...We ordered 9 different items on the menu and they were all delicious. Aaron was one of the servers that helped us he was great and the outdoor entertainment was great! We spent almost 4 hrs there very enjoyable! My favorite food was the seafood paella and the empanada! We will be back
Extremely underprepared to be the venue for the 2021 Halloween Bar Crawl after-party. Waited in line to get in for an hour and a half before we got close enough to see that there was a second line they were letting people in from that was just as long??? Disappointing end to a disappointing event.
The music is very good the only thing is that they do not play merengue very often or at least when I went on Wednesday no. La música es buena, lo único es que no colocan mucho merengue al menos el miércoles cuando fui.
Every time visiting San Diego this was my place to enjoy music and dancing remember showing people how to dance Merengue great times need to go back I miss it.

Summary: Fun vibe, good food & drinks! Love this restaurant/bar/club, always make a point of visiting whenever I’m in San Diego. The live band upstairs is a great time and the club downstairs is quite the party.
Outstanding food and customer service. Juan (mi paisano) was especially attentive and his recommendations were on point. Very difficult to keep a Spanish restaurant authentic, but this people make it work.
Nightclub not what it use to be; been visiting this place since the 90s... crowd quality has degraded...$8 dollar beers and $20 cover way too steep for the experience!
Security here breaks the law and has targeted and assaulted people that it does not want in the club. Very dangerous for tourists. Do not visit this venue.
Bottom floor, for live music on Friday night is small but the band is really good at playing music and singing. Would go back but with a date I recommend.
It is the best time I ever had beautiful Latina women and great staff one-of-a-kind Club the restaurant food is one of the best of all of san Diego
The setting is beautiful although is not a great place to dance and meet people. If you’re a tourist in San Diego, I’ll say shy away.
The cocktails are great. Classic cocktails with some twists. Worth trying. And the vibe of the place is amazing with live music.
Love it. Small but great place to go clubbing. It's open late too. Other place close early sometimes. Bottle service is great.
Worst Sevilla’s I have been too, Really bad service from the bouncers to the host. Would recommend long breach one better
The best night club in downtown . The best stuff . Great music amazing drink . The security is extremely professional.
Very good music and teachers.

Sevilla’s tapas are a authentic taste of Spain. The Mango Mojito is a refreshing twist to the traditional Mojito.
Google POS maps could not get us here! And I paid Uber $10 to take me to a non-existent location. F this!
Possibly some of the best food I've ever had in my life. The Beer Ribs get this they melt off the bone.
Amazing atmosphere Great drinks and good selection of music! Always clean and the service is wonderful.
Fine dining and bast wine selection. Can get booked on Friday and Saturday nights during high season.
Well laid out place for salsa/bachata lessons/dance. Restaurant next door open late for the munchies.
My favorite place!!!! Love bachata Tuesdays ....great music always overall... great customer service
Hella lame when they charge you a fortune for drinks they don’t even put alcohol in. Hella rude.
The live music was incredible and the Brussel sprouts absolutely blew my mind. I will be back!
the live band is outta control... set the place on fire and put some flame in your heart!
Musics not great. Dance floor is awkwardly placed and the staff is a little rude.
Excellent food! The bread was beyond imagination in taste. Just beautiful.
Great food, so much flavor. Rudy was our server and was outstanding.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Love the dance lessons …
Dress rules = auto 1 star. Don’t tell me how to dress myself.
I just made it to the restaurant/bar and it was great!!
Use to be nice and friendly. Not anymore. Persay..
Check your bank statements! I was overcharged.
amazing food and service. 5 stars for sure.
Delicious foods …
