Depends upon the employee as far as cashier. Some are very good, others not so much which then contributes to a line. Other times, there is a line because there are slow customers. I typically get a hot dog for breakfast early morning. Usually the hotdogs are available, but it seems like once or twice a month they don't have the hotdogs nor any breakfast sandwiches available. They also have a customer loyalty rewards card which is nice. I get a free hotdog about every 5 or 6 visits which is nice, but some of the cashiers just dont know how to deal with it. So more training for new employees is really necessary. One particular employee is really slow about doing his job and took over 3 months of training him on how to deal with the loyalty rewards card. He still has issues like just walking away in the middle of a transaction, or for no reason after ringing up the order, but before accepting payment, he takes his time to put on gloves. The behavior is odd to me because shouldn't he have had them on before he started ringing me up? As far as I know he has been on duty for 15-20 minutes or longer by the time I arrive in the morning. The convenience part of the store usually is stocked with some interesting types of chips that rotate in and out on a regular basis that I fail to find elsewhere. I take public transportation and walk everywhere so I cannot speak much on the gas, but they do seem to do a brisk business with vehicles constantly coming and going gassing up all day long. I think the prices are a wee bit high, but seem to be comparable to other stations around Seattle. I live over an hour away in the country and usually prices are much lower, so I attribute the price differences to local taxes (rightly or wrongly, I don't know).
I am thirty years old born in the late spring of 1985. I have been enjoying buying alcohol with legal impunity for nearly 10 years now. The old bald man who works for this store during the graveyard shift on Thursday nights, just took my ID ,typed in my birthday, and proceeded to tell me that he will not sell me a goddamn mikes hard lemonade. Granted I should have been buying something better than that, it just mixes with rum nicely. Anyways, I believe he just reverse hate crime'd me, because he told me I was not old enough to buy the drink. 2016-1985=31 He either hates me personally or white people in general, hates alcohol, or typed in the numbers wrong and can't do simple arithmetic. There is a damn sticker saying the legal drinking age and year on the counter. I am now going to stop at this store every night that this guy works and until he either sells me what I would like to purchase, or gets fired from my in store complaint calls, or gets arrested for my hate crime calls to the police. Before that I believe I will post this a few other places, and go talk to the manager tomorrow before anything else. Please if your white make this guy sell you alcohol and get back to me on weather he does or not. I'm trying to figure out why he denied me, he had a rather standoff'ish attitude.... What died up his butt?
Don't ever go here. I came here and paid for a car wash next thing you know the doors didn't open for me to receive my car wash. I wanted to go inside and the doors were locked. Isn't this supposed to be 24 hours??? So I waited outside for 20 minutes waiting for them to open the door but nope employees walked in and out and ignored the others that were also waiting outside. I came later at 7:30 pm to ask for a refund or if I could get a car wash and I was told that I need to come in the morning to talk to the manager because he wasn't in at this time. I came in the morning and no one helped me so what time is it okay for me to come through?? I also asked for a higher up number and he said no come early in the morning. I didn't get his name but he's seems like he's 5'4 black fellow has "granny" glasses and wears a black mask. Also has a thick accent.
I went in today to get some gas and I picked up 2 energy drinks as well. They were labeled two rockstars for $3.88. When I went to check out they rang up as two for $5.88. I politely pointed out the price they were labeled on the shelves and asked why the price rang up so high. Instead of answering my question the cashier (skinny Ethiopian middle-aged guy) got irritated and asked me sharply how much gas I wanted. So I left the drink, regretted even getting gas there, and instead of staying to argue with someone with appalling professionalism, I’m just going to leave this review to warn others. Don’t buy anything from their store and only get their overpriced gas if your car is running on fumes, is my advice to everyone.
This place used to be my go to spot when I needed a pack of smokes in the middle of the night but not now! The last three times I been there they had some young looking punk just standing around talking on his phone an trying his hardest not to look at the walk up window. And when I doget his attention all I get is his waving his hand back and forth at his neck pretty much telling me that it's a "No go for any help"! The other two visits he was no where to be found for hours and I know this because I would always wait an hour and come back. The night shift needs to really pull it together if they want my money ever again!
I asked for the cost of a basic wash and the cashier mentioned $8.81 after tax, I mentioned oh wow that seems expensive and all she said was “really” By the time I got my car back to the kiosk outside (cash only) I realized my wash should have only cost me $6.54 (after tax)... it definitely wasn’t worth it for me to go back inside, however from now I will choose to avoid Shell at ALL COSTS. I am proud to fuel my tank at Chevron, and after this incident I will even drive an extra 10 miles to fuel my tank at Arco if that means I’m avoiding Shell.
Stopped here in January to gas up. First pump I tried gave me an error message when I tried my credit card. Moved to a second pump to get gas, which accepted my card, and filled up (receipt saved). Just got my credit card statement and there are two charges for the same date. Now having to dispute this with my credit card carrier. Definitely won't be going back here again.
24 July 2023 - 5 Stars First time at this location. I was traveling with 7 youth in a van when one became ill. I got off the interstate, and this was the first place I could stop to help. The staff at this business were very accommodating to our needs to use the restroom to help this youth. I appreciate that they gave aid when aid was needed
Google says it's 24 hours, but it's often closed at night. I waited 45 minutes at 6am to go inside. Plus, there's always a line of people trying to check out. Edit....the response is the same response Shell gives everyone about the misleading hours. How about adjusting the hours? It'd be nice to know when the store is actually open.
Their customer service sucks every time that i bought something that was on sale it rings up the regular price i told them the item was on sale they said no its not i even showed them that it was i asked to speak to the manager and still they give me a problem i worked as a customer service clerk so i know the law
I come too put some gas and enter to use restroom on the door say ask cashier so they can let you in when I ask she. Reply it’s not working and two months ago I stopped there was same story there stuff are rude my opinion if you don’t have restroom at your place those place should not be open
I was just at this shell station and the pump I was using had a broken shut off valve and at least $20 of gas went all over me and all over the ground. The guys in side was like - Uh, sorry...? I want my money back and a dry cleaner reimbursement!!! Thank God there wasn't a spark. Beware!
I've always had great service here. The one suggestion I'd make as a customer is double check the dates on the yogurt. They are so busy here and so make sure you look before you buy. Let the staff know and they'll make it right for you. Awesome and friendly team here.
Look out if you are trying to redeem QFC fuel points at this Shell. The program doesn't work at the pump and if you go inside sometimes you might get help but it takes 20 minutes. Other times they just blow you off completely. Service is hit or miss to say the least.
There were 2 of them at the counter. They always seem to get quiet towards me, but one day they were laughing and speaking their own language. One of them was gesturing towards me. I mean why? I guess they can afford to since their business is in a high traffic area
Was charged for a sea sweet tx 12z and every time I called they wouldn't answer what it was. I have no idea what it is and I'm not understand why I'm getting charged for something I didn't grab. I literally got 2 green teas and a monster.
Sign on door says use window for night service yet the attendant told me I can't even get a soda. Just another gas station that claims 24 hour business model but falls very short. Pick a different store if you need a late night pit stop.
I just had a uneasy visit to your circle k located at 852 Rainier Ave S Seattle 98144. I was asked to put my back pack on a shelf at the front door. Circle k is not responsible for lost or stolen items. What next?
These guys are great! They have everything that you might need in a pinch. Milk, beer, extra sundries. If there a product that you need and you purchase it often the manager will be glad to stock it in the store.
The employees always put up a sign that says "shift change" which apparently means they sit inside and refuse to let anyone in. Other time the employees get high outside and are still useless. Overall terrible
Ridiculously expensive, got a Arizona that's obviously usually 99 cents expecting it to be like $1.08, he said $1.53, I asked about the 99 cents and he just said $1.53 with saying anything...
They charged my money for car wash, but no receipt, when I asked the cashier, he just yelled at me, said he didn’t care, first time like that, he’s a crazy guy
Higher prices than many in the area, but convenient location. People try to bum money or gas off of you at the pump. Several pumps out of order.
Fast, sometimes friendly station. Old man works evening, I have seen him hit girls with a bat, cops cover for him. What a racket WASHINGTON!
Most of the pumps are out of service and some of the gas units are missing the nozzle. Specific pumps require going into the mart to prepay.
It’s almost comical how bad this car wash is. I just wanted my time driving down there and will have to do the whole job over by hand.
Been a while since I've done a gas review, and It was definitely a great experience, the gas was as tasty as it will ever get!
Go 5 miles on any direction and gas is 30-50¢ cheaper. When all the prices went down this summer, there's didn't. Gouging?
More than half the pumps are broken. Slow pump on working ones. Sketchy area. The place is an absolute mess. Avoid
Credit/debit card doesn't usually work. When you pay inside they don't get it and ask you to prepay. Total hassle
Tried to get air for my tires. $1.50 to use the machine, and the cashier refused to exchange bills for quarters.
Price is WRONG on GOOGLE maps. Definitely false advertising through Google. :( Slightly annoying.
A rough part of town with a lot of questionable clientele make this place a little scary
Quick service, able to get in and out in 2 to 5 minutes. Easy location to access.
All the staff are unprofessional. The secrets of the money are very honest
Clerks will stand outside smoking getting high vs helping customers
Can't call yourself 24 hrs if you're already closed by 9:40.
Always seem to get winning scratchers when I buy then here
Avoid location, almost got into a fight just to get gas.
There is almost 60cent difference from everywhere else
Air pump doesnt work and they won't refund your money
It's like pizza even when it's bad it's still pizza
Awful gas pumps super expensive and takes forever
No public bathroom:( but it's has one but :(
Extremely rude and immature management.
