We purchased shoes for our Granddaughter and went to return them due to her wanting other ones. We were approached by Katrina at the River Center Mall and we were told they she could not provide us a refund because it would have to be cash because we used a credit card. She then stated that she could not give us cash because they did not have enough cash in thier register to refund us. She then told us if we wanted to wait until someone came in and did a cash purchase maybe we could get cash. How ridiculous!!! We told her were were just visiting San Antonio and were from out of town. She then told us she could not help. We then asked if she could check if another store could issue a refund. She told us it was 10 mins away. We asked, if she could call and ask if they had funds available to process the refund so we would not have to make the trip. She refused and said we could call. When both my husband and I became frustrated we questioned her as to why she was not being helpful, she then said she would call from her cell phone in the back. The service at that store was pathetic, no customer service skills at all. We waited and she came back and said she confirmed they had the cash and could refund us. So we made the trip to the store off of Military Drive. The staff at that store were exemplary and very attentive. They not only told us that Katrina misinformed us and she could have issued a refund. They also went through the steps of asking if the card we used was a credit card or debit card. They listened and asked more probing questions to resolve the issue.They apologized for the inconvenience for the trip and ensured that we were satisfied with their service. They were outstanding and professional. We found out that Katrina was an assistant manager. Wow that was shocking. She is in the wrong business because she has zero customer service skills! Jolene, you were amazing and should be promoted. Katrina could learn a lot from Jolene. Katrina should be terminated for horrible service and careless attitude. Shoe Palace, you are going to lose more customers and the district manager should send a secret buyer to rate the staff at that store. I am going to make sure to tell as many people never to shop at that location. Big Mistake!!!

I would really rate this shoe palace store a two stars but to be nice I guess three stars. They have some great items to collect or buy for some basics. But this tall dark skin cashier needs to watch his mouth. He yelled out to me to say they stocked with AF1 bc mines was a LIL bit off white. He got everyone looking at me like I can’t afford. I felt OFFENDED bc as a shoe collector I know that shoes are kept as new. But he really didn’t need to come at me without being asked to get new ones like it was dirty. Like dude I’m not from here. I’m from Dallas and there’s no way I finna walk around San Antonio with some Jordan’s or some others that cost more than AF1. I’ve been walked all over SA so of course my shoes finna be a bit dirty. On Saturday November the 2nd at around 8pm, I visited this store looking to buy shoes for my wife and I. The variety is bigger than most shoe stores but the service was horrible. 2 young ladies and a gentleman working there kept talking between each other using profanity in a very loud volume. I needed a different size and asked one of the ladies for my size so I handed out the shoes but she kept talking to the gentleman and until after a couple seconds she took the shoe. When I decided what shoes to buy the gentleman cashed me out and just kept talking to the ladies he never looked at me or said a word. The river walk location is a very important one for the city and service needs to be much better than this.

Management was very rude disrespectful and has deceitful practices. I asked for a discount she obliged. I layer put my shoes on today 1 shoe is discolored. She said her and I talked about it . I told her ma'am we never discussed this situation and why would I buy a discolored shoe she rolled her eyes smacked her lips and there is nothing she could do about it. This is also after another employee attempts to clean the shoe now it looks worse than before!!!!!! I need my money back or a replacement!!!

I’ve shopped at SP for years because they have release limits and it’s easier to get new Jordans instead of fighting the crowds at Foot Locker and Finish Line. This weekend I ordered a pair then Monday morning decided to cancel it. The item hadn’t even been processed much less shipped but I was still charged a 15.00 cancellation fee. I can understand if something was done but this was nothing more than a system generated email. No more business from me.

The “manager”, Symphony is absolutely horrible and should be fired. First off, she wasn’t in uniform and was standing in the hall dancing while scrolling on her phone. Then she had her children in the back of the store and even offered to resale new jordans to me when they come out, which I can’t imagine is part of protocol. Can’t believe the company would call someone so careless & sloppy a manager.

Worst place to go in, they have a store full of employees but not one of them wants to help you, then when they finally do the way they treat the shoes, if I’m gonna pay 200.00 for shoes I’d rather them not be tossed around. I took my business elsewhere just because of the bad service there

Disrespectful!!Came in to buy shoes and forgot to put my mask on and the manager flew out of nowhere to tell us we cant enter without a mask when we all had 1.Calm down and back away from the entrance like security!

I was charged 39.99 for a pair of shoes that were 29.99... I noticed when i got home so i was planning to return them. I didn't know they give only 15 days so i lost my money

I got great customer service by an employee named Caesar at River Center mall location. He was very helpful and good attitude. They had the shoes I had been looking for.
