I checked the perfume section this morning to see if there are new items that I can buy for myself and a gift for my friend. I always buy my perfumes at Shoppers because of the variety and the price is affordable. I saw a Jean Marc Paris perfume in the clearance section and since I don't have this brand yet, I have no idea what it smells like and since the packaging is open, I smelled it but did not spray. Then a staff from the cosmetics named SATINDER approached me and said that I am not allowed to open it and I told her it's already open. Then she said that the packaging is like that and "it's not $21.99." I felt degraded as if I cannot afford to buy on a regular price. I calmed myself down and went to grab a lip tint. I came back to the perfume section to see if SATINDER is not there because I don't like staff bugging me when I'm shopping unless I need their help. But when I tried to get a perfume, SATINDER stood beside me and pretended that she's arranging the perfume which is already organized, I got pissed and just left to buy the lip tint. I talked to the Manager about it and told me that it's not right and she's going to talk to her. But I think SATINDER deserves a big shoutout on this page for being rude and belittling other people. You have to learn the word RESPECT.

The way she looked and talked was very rude, she never listen to customer’s concern. I was offended and very dissapointed because i have rosacea i needed to use the product so bad, i don’t want to just break the container as the product will dry quickly as it is so expensive. I told to my friends my experience and avoid this location, advised them to go to near London drugs instead as they have cheaper products without barbaric staff.

Kind of a wasted trip for me. I went there to take advantage of the Seniors Day discount widely advertised as 20% off. They didn't have any stock of the butter advertised for $2 (limit 2) nor the ammonia advertised on Google. I noticed a lot of the prices were quite high compared to what I'm used to. Mostly all of their plastic hair brushes are $25 to $30 each for example and they had a lot of those brushes. Things I normally buy for a little over a dollar elsewhere were priced at $3 to $4. I guess you are paying for the convenience of mall shopping, while you are there but I would probably not make a special trip. When I got to the till with my two items I bought because of the promotion I was told they were on sale and so don't qualify for the seniors discount. The staff were okay but did seem a little edgy. They probably take a lot of flack about the misleading policies and pricing. I'd rather shop at a store that offers me some comfort in knowing that I'm not being gouged on things. You really have to know your prices and be careful because one over-priced item can decimate any perceived savings you might have thought you were getting..

I went to Shoppers at Sunridge Mall with my husband and we were looking for perfumes . The staff told us not to spray the perfume in our body but only to the paper. I was absolutely astounded coz I have never come across a rule as that and felt as though belittled just because we belong to a minority group! I usually buy my bottles at Sephora but today wanted to try shoppers because of the amazing offers that you guys gave. Perfumes smells differently to different people basing on your body’s ph! We would have wanted to have it spray in our body to test if the perfume is a good match for us or not! Its a good way for us buyers and also to retailers rather than returning the whole bottle for reasons that it did not work for us! I am not a perfume expert but seriously I think I am more knowledgeable as hers when it comes to perfume and body ph. So I would recommend everyone to buy at Sephora if shoppers has this kind of employees.

The customer even tried to tell her to cancel it but she said she can’t Honestly though, the cashier was kinda clueless and doesn’t know what’s she was saying or doing. And when the supervisor came she even tried to lie about the situation. Wow like really, kinda embarrassing, we wanted to say something but we didn’t want to get involved. You should train your cashier how to handle upset customer, by letting them speak first and not letting them listen to your non sense BS, asking your supervisor she should listen to your story first before the customer.

I go to this area quite often (a few in fact). But today I will not ever be going back there due to the undeserved, rude and terrible service I had received. I had bought some "sun block" only to find out later that the employee who gave me it gave me something completely different. So I had to go back there and by the time I got there the cosmetic area was closed. So I asked the available customer service available if they are able to assist me. This short old woman came to me and instead of helping me, she made my situation MUCH worse she treated me incredibly unfairly and I was shocked when she had told me that she was the MANAGER. I couldn't believe the way I've been treated by an manager no less and I ended up leaving the store upset and disappointed. I doubt I will ever be going to a place, run by people who can't give their customers some decent respect!

The cashier that was there today sun Aug 20 at 7:30pm at the outside entrance cash register ...was very rude....I had few items and she asked if I'm paying cash I said not sure depends on how much cash I have she scanned so I didn't have enough cash and wanted to pay with a card.. Rather than letting me just pay she actually voided the whole transaction stood there crossing her arm doing nothing and asked me to go pay at self check out....I told her let me just pay with a card she refused and walked away...very rude....she should've at least continued with the transaction....she's standing around the cash walking around doing absolutely nothing....the least she could've done is cash people out...might as well just have strictly selfcheck out if the people working are not going to do their job... Will definitely not be returning to this shoppers again

Terrible customer experience, would not be going to this location and would not recommend to anyone. The security guard is so rude, my girlfriend politely asked where the cashier for payment is and the security guard rudely answered nope, doesn't even look at us, and just walked away. A security guard not knowing where the cashier is unacceptable, even if he genuinely doesn't know, a simple respectful no would've been enough. The lady at the till also ignored our complaints. Will be writing a more detailed complaint to SHOPPERS corporate and GARDA security. Incident date June 21, 2021. Time-8:15pm. I would recommend checking with garda security as I am not the first to complain with the security guards, they are affecting the customer experience terribly.

On wednesday, july 26th, 2023, around 5-6pm, the Shoppers Drug Mart in Sunridge, I don't know her name but she was a younger asian girl with longish dark hair, and she was very rude and unprofessional! She didn't even say hello or goodbye or have a nice day or anything, she was rude and snotty and miserable, didn't smile or even talk to us or anything, then more people started to line up and there was only a few people and she starts waving her hands and yelling NO ONLY FIVE PEOPLE! Like she can't even handle the stress of working in a store even though she wasn't in a stressful environment! She was very rude and unfriendly and someone like that shouldn't even have a job! She should be fired immediately!

I regularly visit this mall, and sometimes go in to the Shopper's to buy the odd item. For years I've noticed that the cashiers are just miserable. As a cashier, the bare minimum is to greet (hello) and make a parting comment (goodbye), but they do neither. To exemplify the misery, today I went in and bought a vitamin water after a workout. As I walked up, the cashier didn't say anything, just held out her hand for me to give her the drink. Precisely, the only things she said were the order total and "there you go" This is not atypical, this is the norm when I shop at this store. The cashiers seem to hate the customers! That's understandable, but you have to at least pretend you don't hate them.

The pharmacy team here have worse listening skills then my dogs at the dog park. I called 4 days ago to request them to get a transfer and a refill from my doctor. Simple right? Wrong. I called today and the same ladie I spoke to days prior, failed to do her job and get medication I really need. Now I'm out a medication I rely on. Bring on the withdrawls! I called again a few minutes later to clearify something and a male with just as poor English answered, interuptd me before I even finished my sentence and then started telling me things that were unrelated to my situation he couldn't bother to let me tell him. I don't know how some people get degrees anymore.

stay away from this shoppers drug mart if you have a choice …i bought a box of milk august 8th then when i opened it august 10th it expired august 9th and when i called the store right after i was told to take a picture and bring it to the store which i did right the next day but no manager on duty and i was told to bring the actual milk the next day for them to swap , so a day later I did just that and dealt with the manager name Mark and make me felt accusation that i’m scamming them …what a guy over a box of milk …at the end i left the bad milk at there store … i will try to avoid this location for future business ….really i hope there corp office read this

I went to return an item i bought few days back and while purchasing none of the employee informed it about being final sales. I also asked if they couldnt refund then exchange or store credits but they seem to be going for refund without hesitation. and while returning the product one of the employee named Cassie marked a racist comment on me being not white. Racist comment on customers in any of the sector is inappropriate. Shoppers Drug Mart i am really offended and really upset about this comment. I know it should be against your policy as well. Kindly take an action on it. All google reviews says a lot about your staff especially at Sunridge location.

I have always had very good service in cosmetics and I always buy the same item every 4 - 6 weeks. But tried yesterday to purchase the same (drawer was empty) and the woman helping me said "We don't carry that" even when I told her I buy the same on a regular basis and she replied oh it's probably discontinued you'll have to try The Bay. Too lazy to pursue it for me I guess. She should maybe have checked with a staff member who actially KNOWS the dept instead af assuming - and you know what they say about assuming! Upon Googling later I discovered it is NOT discontinued simply out of stock. Next time you won't see me because I will be shopping elsewhere.

If I could leave a zero I would. I've been a business Indigenous person going to this Shoppers at Sunridge Mall. Not only do they profile you while in the store but the pharmisist or pharmacist helper is the most rude individual. My doctor faxed and confirmed the receipt of my prescriptions and I showed it to them on my camera when I arrived and he said no. he would not fill them except one. I called my doctor and he said this is a huge red flag as my meds should have been filled. The security follow you around the store. I make a point of going in their with only my bank card and phone. Rude comments, I've now moved my account elsewhere.

The pharmacist was SO rude with me on the phone for asking a simple question directly from my insurance agency. The pharmacist spoke VERY fast, barely let me speak and pretty much made me feel awful for calling (even though I was told to). I will never get my prescriptions filled here again. Update: I would also like to add that since picking up my prescription elsewhere, I was not given ANY information about the prescription I picked up from this pharmacy even tho it was my first time on this medication ALSO: I was NOT made aware that there was a generic version available and paid full price for name brand with no insurance.

STOPPPPPPPP! DO NOT ENTER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TARGETED OR PROFILED. Last weekend my cousin and I visited this location and a woman working in the beauty department went to the security guard and told him to follow my cousin and I. I then noticed I was being followed, so I asked the security guy are you profiling me, he said no but I knew that he was. This is not the first time this has happened in this store. It's usually Asian women working in the cosmetics targeting black people. In a society like Today we have to be very careful because I'm sure there are cameras stop following and racially profiling based on color.

Out of all of the Shoppers Drug Marts that I have been to, this has been the worst one. During the 10 minutes I was in the store, I encountered 2 rude employees telling me what I can and cannot purchase. I was appalled at how they treated me so I put all of the items I were holding except for the necessary items I came for. I was considering leaving the store empty-handed too but unfortunately, I did not want to make an extra trip to a different Shoppers. I definitely will not be coming back and I hope these employees get some training on customer service someday.

Such a rude person on the phone. I faxed my prescription. Called in to make sure they got it and the person on the phone without asking me my name, spoke very quickly and said if i faxed it, it will be prepared but does not have the time to check it out and hung up. Literally in less than 15 seconds. Unprofessional. Sorry, SDM Pharmacy, you are on my blacklist. I fail to understand how they can keep these attitudes. Update: Transferring my meds over to Costco. I know for such a huge corp few dollars does not matter. However, i know i am not dealing with jerks.

Dated sep26,2023 in evening 7 pm , two lady employees in beaty boutique. Asked for help from one of them., she said she is with customer will help later, waited for 15 minutes for her to come. No help. Then after I bought the product went to cash counter of beauty boutique at front to pay but both ladies busy at back with phone and gossiping, asked to help me check out. But both told to come at back to pay. Really this is customer service . Felt really bad. I also work with shoppers. But never treat my customers like this. Really disappointed.

I am very disgusted by the staff and security at this location. My In-law who is a First Nations women! Was just there browsing through the makeup section, even just looked at the testers that are on display. The security guard was unnecessarily following her, also watching her! As she was looking at the lipsticks he took it out of her hand, tell her that she cannot buy this! Is this how your staff treats the customers!? especially a First Nation women?!. A security guard racially profiling! Also being aggressive towards her!!! Disgusting!!!

I decided to edit my review with details in case it's happened to anyone else. This was years ago but I still feel terrible when I think about it. I was walking through shoppers and didn't end up buying anything that day. A security guard then came after me and said a staff member from here accused me of stealing. I showed them my pockets and there was obviously nothing there. I was asked that they requested I not return that day. I don't know if they treat all customers that way or only ones who fit a certain look.

Bought some items there today, the cashier gave me 2 bags and I went home. When I got home to put my stuff away I noticed I was missing a 3rd of the items I purchased. I triple checked through my bags and car only to have to drive back to the store which took 20 min. They had my items in another bag that they didn't give me. If they had apologised it would have been water under the bridge but all the girl said was '' Good thing you came back, these items are expensive...'' Very disappointed in this location.

The couple times I've been here, the ladies I've dealt with in the fragrance dept didnt have a clue what they're talking about, they just try and sell you on what's popular and lie through their teeth. When they find out I know more than them, they almost always get defensive and say I'm wrong. I have been collecting fragrance for more than a decade and know my stuff and I've applied to work here part time but not once have I got a call back. Whoever does the hiring needs to be fired

They dont deserve even a one star. Terrible experience at pharmacy. I was in need of prescribed medicine so i went there at 8:30PM, half an hour before of their closing time. However the pharmacist has declined to fill my prescription instead told me to go at their memorial drive location. Not only only i wasted half hour going there but because of this process other near by location were also closed. Not at all recommend this location. Better to go little bit far.

This happened around after 3pm. It was very insulting to be treated poorly when all I did was check some make-up to buy. This merchandiser (who was working near the Maybelline section) didn’t even mind asking if her assistance was needed.. instead she immediately displayed her rudeness and assumed that I was trying on the lipsticks **which wasn’t the case**. I ended up buying nothing because of how poorly this rude (petite in ponytail) merchandiser have treated me.

Wasnt even in the store for a couple mins before a security guard started to follow me and a family member around the store. As soon as I picked up the item I needed the security RUDELY asked "Are you going to pay for that?"... I wasnt even near an exit and I was heading to get a cold beverage and he still continued to follow and watch us even as we paid and walked out the door. The worst customer experience i have here. The lady working in cosmetic section is so rude. I didn’t know the name otherwise i will definitely mention here. I bought an Alizabeth arden lift and firm makeup from this store,The lady told me that I could not even open the PACKING and so i bought it,It was supposed to be fresh and new so I never checked. but now after 2 month I saw expiry date on it was 12 2018 ,now I GOT THE ANSWER for all skin rashes and break out after using the product,Now i cant return it without receipt and all my 55$ r gone.never buy any luxury product from this location.

Rude security guard came up behind me and told me to "give it to me" when I expressed my confusion on why he was asking me that he accused me of shoplifting. So I proceed to empty my bag to show him that he was wrong and he just walked away rudely shaking his head no apology or anything extremely rude especially since I shop her almost every week. Went in to return makeup today with a receipt from another shoppers I went to yesterday. The lady in the makeup section immediately dismissed me and said I needed to return to the same shoppers I bought the product from as they didn’t “carry” the product. I then returned to the shoppers in Kensington where I asked if this was a common policy and told absolutely not. I was extremely frustrated by this experience.

Yesterday I went to buy my foundation which I was using from last 5 years, the same shade which I prefer. When I asked the beauty boutique's sales person about the shade I want, she take it out and pass me a comment that "Isn't it too light for you, because I use the same shade". She just looked my skin color and made a comment what I didn't ask for. She should update herself about GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Prepare yourself for a terrible customer service when returning products at the Beauty Boutique. They don’t like it when you make the return since they’re losing their bonus I guess. Also, they don’t accept return with purchased from another store. If you made your purchase from another Shoppers location, you have to go back to the exact one for any return or exchange which does not make any sense lol.

Walked in and was overwhelmed with the odour of cologne through double masking. Bought a squishmallow to go with my polysporin since I'm treating surgery scars. Got home and my squishmallow also reeks of cologne. This is really frustrating as someone with damaged lungs - I ended up having to rush through my purchase at self checkout because it triggered a severe coughing fit.

I was at Shoppers Sunridge today, and a young woman in the store was going through a crisis. An employee working at Shoppers was very kind to her, offering options to help her. This neighborhood has a lot of people with challenges, and I was very impressed with the kindness and patience shown by the Shoppers employees. The most horrible customer service in their Luxury beauty section. If there's lower than 1 star, that's how I would rate their service. They choose the people they want to help. I shop all my beauty products at shoppers in their Luxury beauty section because of their points, but I'd rather drive extra mile and shop somewhere else for a better service.

This is one of the worst experiences with a pharmacist that i have ever faced. I called to ask about my ongoing health concerns and just general issues about my health and about a over the counter medication. The pharmacist was super rude to me and he sounded like he was on drugs he would talk fast and panicky . Not recommended !

The experience was terrible. Ask the gentleman how long it would be, he said I will do my best. I asked again politely because it's not my regular pharmacy, he said rude again. "I will do my best". What happened to the personal service with respect. It's gone. I will never go there again.

The cosmetic women Tammy is the rudest person I have ever met, she closed the makeup aisle doors on us when we were asking her for help. You guys need to train your staff better like so disrespectful

Partner called pharmacy asking for COVID tests. Male pharmacist laughed at them. Partner gave pharmacist a genuine scenario. Pharmacist provided abrupt answer and hung up.

Do not go here for PR renewal photos. They will insist they can do them and now I have to pay to get them retaken somewhere else and mailed back in. Delay in application.

Great service in store...less so on the phone. Nobody answers the phone for customer inquiries & when they do, they're often very rude.

The pharmacy never answers the phones. You can call dozens of times over the course of hours and still unable to get ahold of them.
