The only reason this place is getting even one stars is due to the two workers at the pharmacy. The one gentleman who is alternative (Corey I believe?) , and the tall pharmacist himself. Today I go in to pick up my prescription, and at first the lady had just straight up said I had no refills. I told her that's impossible as I just refilled my scrip a week ago and dropped it off. She got argumentative with me until she found it. Then she tells me that they are out of my medication. AGAIN. This is a huge problem. This location seems to 8/10 times be out of my medication. This is unacceptable. You should be ordering it BEFORE you run out. I am tired of wasting my time, going down there to get my medication and its always out. No sorry, no saying they'll bring it to the attention of the manager, nothing. Just a shrug and off they go. I NEVER had this issue when there was a Walmart down here. Always had my meds, and always had them within 10min. Not 45-1 hour. I will absolutely be moving all my medical to a different doctor and pharmacy. This location makes no sense to me, and is just as bad as the medical clinic next door. This makes me fear for all their elderly patients as well. Are they being shrugged at if their life saving medication isn't in? And after speaking with many people in the neighbourhood, this is an ongoing well known issue. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. You're playing with people's lives.

By the way I had my medicine by 10:04 , (sorry for those 4 minutes that I took from you) I never saw a signs that estated that After 9:40 Non prescriptions will be filled because the staff is getting ready to go home. I would really like to Report this to someone Else in a higher Position.

The pharmacist straight up lied about having a drug that was prescribed by her surgeon. The drug was prescribed because no other pain killers worked. The hospital tried using the drug that shopper's swapped out on her and it didn't dull the pain at all. They might as well have given her a bottle of m&m's. My mom called and asked specifically if they had the prescribed drug. She specified that it couldn't be the other drug as it didn't work. They said they had it, she went to get it, only to discover (once she was home), that they had swapped it for the drug that doesn't work. When she called to ask why, the arrogant pharmacist said they were the same. They were able to give her the proper pain killer in hospital (after exhausting all other options), then obviously it exists. Stop lying to customers, consult them properly when you don't have the drugs that are prescribed, stop hanging up on customers when they have concerns. You aren't their doctor, you don't know why one drug is prescribed and another isn't. Consider asking before swapping one drug for another.

I have had nothing but bad experiences here for over a year now. They've told me that my prescriptions would be ready by 5 and when I show up they apologize and tell me that they're actually out of stock. When I ask why they didn't call me, they say "oh well, we're very busy." Well so am I! They've refused to fill more than one month at a time of prescriptions (saying my insurance wouldn't allow it). I called my insurance company and they said that's absolutely not true. I tried at another pharmacy and they gave me 3 months! Not only is the pharmacy staff unhelpful I suspect they are lazy and loose with the truth. Oh, and cherry on the cake, they have never once offered me any information on the drugs I have filled there. Which I'm fairly certain is against the law. I've got prescriptions filled at other locations and they force fed me the information, or at least asked if I had any questions! Seriously, there's a Co-op pharmacy sharing the same parking lot, go there! It's better, they're friendlier and their staff actually know what they're doing!

I went into the store today Friday April 7 around 9pm to do some shopping. I tried a few foundations at the makeup counter and then shopped for other things. When I was paying for my purchases I hear someone asking me from behind “did you use this?” It caught me off guard because I didn’t understand why someone would be asking me this. It was the lady at the makeup counter pointing to some sort of pencil. I said no, I only tried the foundations. Then she made a face of disbelief and said “because this is not a tester and shouldn’t be opened”. I felt like she profiled me because one is she asking everyone in the store that passed by the makeup counter if they used this pencil and two because after I told her I didn’t use it she still didn’t believe me. No one deserves to be racially profiled and be treated with such disrespect. In this day and age acts of discrimination such as this one are unacceptable and I hope that Shoppers Drug Mart does a thorough investigation.

My wife couldn't be given the full prescription for our daughter as this pharmacy didn’t have enough of that particular medication. So, she was told to come the next day for the rest. The next day another person at the counter refused to issue the rest of it? Strange questions were asked: Who was at the counter yesterday? Why the full dose was not given etc.? My wife was treated as a thief and liar. Everything that my wife was asked was already in the file or could be easily checked. BTW, why would someone try to get a few extra ml of an antibiotic for children to start with? They phoned us later on with a story to come back in case we wouldn't have enough? So, we'll need to go back there for the 3rd time for a dose or two. Nobody apologized for the way how they treated us, in their mind we were supposed to be happy that they’d give us those few extra ml that were ours to start with? This level of incompetence and rude behaviour is beyond acceptable.

This is the worst Pharmacy in the city. You call three days ahead for a refill then show up to be told you must wait 30 min. 30 min passes and you’re now sitting there for over an hour. Everyone I’ve spoken to in the community has this same issue. Pharmacists and pharmacy staff have no customer service experience or common sense when it comes to medication, nor do they seem to care much about the many seniors I’ve seen sitting and waiting for long periods of time..once you ask again about your medication it seems like they have forgotten you’re even waiting. My husband had heart surgery recently and just to get a refill of blood thinner seems like pulling teeth. It’s just sad. When I phoned another pharmacy in the area and told them why I’m transferring, I was told that they couldn’t count the number of times they’ve heard that in regards to this pharmacy. Good riddance- please go elsewhere

Absolute horrible customer service at this location! Sunday morning and you couldn’t find a person at the til!!! I waited at the til as I had a cash transaction for over 5 min I then proceeded to walk every isle to look for anybody to assist me and now we are near 8 min. I go to the post office where I can hear ladies talking and said is anybody working at the front and one lady called for another. As I walked to the front I could still hear her taking and turned around and she had no sense of urgency when coming to the til!! I told her I waited a while and she said “well I just only took the garbage out so not long” Are you kidding me Then I go to pay for my transportation and with absolute ignorance she said oh I don’t have change to break a hundred!!!!!! I work in the area and I will never frequent this location again with customer service like she gave me today!!! Terrible

This is one of the worst shoppers in the city customer service here is lacking. We came in at 8pm buying drinks and the cleaner was in doing the floors while customers are trying to shop we had to keep moving out of his way we finally reach checkout which had a fair bit of people and he came by again and rather than saying excuse me he just waved his hand at us to move again finally my partner snapped at him and said you can wait! Seriously we are customers and we are paying why don’t people have the common sense to wait? And on top of that our cashier on the night of October 2 was awful just making rude comments about our choice of drinks when all we wanted to do was pay and get out! Won’t be back again! Avoid this place.

Been going to this shoppers for years for prescriptions and makeup products. I love that they now carry nyx. They have a section of fragrances that you can get for 20 dollars which I also love to check out everytime I go.The staff is very friendly. Sometimes there is a wait to get prescriptions (I find this has alot to do with the demographics of the area as it is an older community) If you have a prescription that you get frequently you have the option to get an auto fill each month and they send you a text when it's ready for pick up which is very convenient.

The free drug delivery service is great. Too bad the staff are so incompetent that it rarely works out. I'm getting so tired of calling multiple times for a single delivery that never happens. On top of that, the staff keep trying to charge me for a name-brand drug when there is a generic brand covered by my insurance that I've repeatedly told them to give me. It's reached the point where I only trust one employee to actually do their job - Cory. If I don't talk to him, I have zero trust that what I've asked for will actually happen.

If I could give the store no stars would. I could not return and set of headphones that was complete with all its packaging and that wasn't originally not sealed because according to them the policy states they can't take it back. Any other store would take such item back. This brilliant policy is not on the receipt and was not shared with me when i bought the headphones or i would not have bought them. Atrocious customer service by manager Chad Wallis. I will definitely take my business else where. Serves me right for shopping here.

THE worst place to get your passport photos taken. There is no proper lighting and the person who printed my photos made it worse by setting the lighting and the contrast in the printer in a way that I looked much darker than I do in real life. I thought it wouldn’t be an issue but when my passport got issued to me, the picture was so dark that I couldn’t recognize my own features. Despite paying $26, I will now have to carry with me a hardly identifiable passport picture for the next decade Avoid like the plague.

I have always used Shoppers Drug Mart to fill my prescriptions, even when I lived no where near one. The quality of customer service always outweighed the inconvenience of travel -- up until now. I have had numerous disappointing experiences with this pharmacy team. Upon filing a complaint I was contacted by the manager who was unapologetic and content with placing the blame on me -- it was my fault. That's okay, there is another pharmacy next door that was delighted to receive my business.

You seriously need to hire appropriate staff who knows the ethics of customer service. Went there yesterday for the first time, was in a rush and just looked at the staff for checkout help to which he responded to : "CAN YOU READ? im startled! Read what? THE SIGN! and he pointed to a sign which said something about no service at the counter. It could have been told in a usual humble way. Not used to such rude behaviour and was a shock for me.

Very close to my living place just across the road. Great location. Clean, well organized store. Good selection. Always have my needed prescriptions in stock and prepare them in an efficient and timely manner. The ladies that work in the cosmetics department are always super helpful and friendly smile on her face always. Not too happy about one cashier checkout but at least they still have a cashier.

Very helpful. The staff go above and beyond (and we’ve been coming here for over 10 years and have seen a lot of staff!). They are always willing to answer questions (even over the phone) and look things up (like, “if the medication says you need to avoid alcohol, does that mean the fake sugar alcohols too?”). They are always busy but the lines are never long (like one or two people in front of you).

Shop somewhere that cares about the customer experience. The owner should be ashamed. Often times there are two cashiers behind the counter, but refuse to help and force people to use the self check out. This is outrageous. The store has become entirely self check. Staff would rather stand around than help you pay for your order.

Very disappointed! My mother in law is from okotoks, I went to go get her to stay at my place as we have ac and it's 38 plus outside. She forgot her inhaler that she been using forever! So we went there to pick one up but she had no refills. This shouldn't matter as she been on it forever and it's hot out!!! She needs it!!!!!!

Great location. Clean, well organized store. Good selection. Always have my needed prescriptions in stock and prepare them in an efficient and timely manner. Health and Saftey!! The one Pharmacist who prepares and Handles the medication and prescriptions for everybody fails to wear his mask properly even after me mentioning it a couple says ago - He wears it under his nose or under his chin while talking on the phone. Went here to buy some lottery tickets and groceries, everything is EXTREMELY over-priced. Asked to pick my own numbers for lottery "Oh you need to fill out a form for that!" Okay, went to fill out the forms...no pencil, no pen?? Asked Cashier if I could get one to fill out: "SORRY WE DON'T PROVIDE THOSE". A W F U L

I’ve had mediocre experiences at this location before but the female pharmacist on staff yesterday afternoon (Canada day) was so above and beyond lovely, patient, kind, and helpful. She really helped me in a bind and I truly can’t say enough positive things about her and the entire experience!

This review is for the pharmacy. Every time I drop off a prescription I asked how long, they say 40 minutes. It almost always takes them at least twice that long and usually when I show up and it's not ready they're just standing around talking... Very poor customer service in the pharmacy

Your prescription will never be dispensed before you physically show up. Initiate a refill online? Forget about it. Doctor "faxes" in a prescription days before? Forget about it. You must physically show up and get the "come back in 45 minutes" message before getting your prescription

I really like this store. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The manager has been helpful. The store is always clean and tidy. While they don't carry the makeup selection of a larger store, the people who work in cosmetics have always been very knowledgeable.

I called the store to ask if they do passport photos, they told me yes. I asked if we neeeded an appointment and they said "no just come in". We came straight over and were told sorry the passport person "has gone home". All I can say is brutal!!
