My friend and I went to Sidebar this past Friday, it started off pretty rough but we ended up having the best time. When we got there the host checked our ID's and OK'd us to go in. Most of the table upstairs were reserved but we came to a table that a server was near and he said it was okay for us to sit. Shortly after we were approached by Charmaine, who I am assuming is a manager. She was super rude to us, unprovoked, basically saying that she has the say for who gets to sit where and that we couldn't sit there. I understand reservations, and completely respect that. But the attiude was unnecessarily aggressive and totally off putting. Thankfully we didn't let her ruin our time. We ended up going downstairs and yall? We had a ball. The bartenders were amazing, I don't remember her name but she was super sweet. The hookah server, I think his name was Mel, amazing! The DJ was fantastic! The service was paced nicely and the overall vibe was great. Our intention was to only pregame there and head to another event, but we opted to skip the event and stay here. Outside of the interaction with Charmaine, i have not a single complaint

After another long day of enjoying the city, my friend and I came across Sidebar on TikTok. So we decided to go to there for dinner. We were unable to get a reservation due to our last minute decision, so we were not able to eat in the dining part on the first level where you entered. So we had to go to the first level downstairs where we were able to get a booth. Sidebar is 3 levels of fun and entertainment. The first level is where many go to eat dinner and dine in. The second level is like a lounge where you are in booth with music, hookah, drinks and a simpler menu to order food from. The bottom level is like a club where many are dancing and have sections you can sit in while dancing and enjoying a drink. We ordered the flight of margaritas and they were really good and strong lol. We could barely finish them lol. There lemon pepper wings with fries and veggie eggs rolls were good, and brought out hot. I advise if you want to eat in the dining area, reserve as early as possible.

My sister and I visited this place for the first time on a Thursday. We weren’t impressed at all. They check you at the door which is cool. When we went inside the last sitting at the host desk act like she was the customer and didn’t stop her conversation with the guy with the dreads until we greeted her and told her the reason we were there smh. She say is on the main floor which was cool. They brought 1 menu for us to share. 1) the menu was big as the table ❌ 2) the waitress never told us about happy hour ❌ 3) the shrimp tempura was disgusting and the inside WAs wet like the batter wasn’t thoroughly cooked ❌ 4) the fries were burnt ❌ 5) the drinks were okay and were the only things that made it with the visit ✅ Needless to say, I’ll never return.

Stumbled upon Side Bar on our quest to find a not so busy spot (due to an event downtown) to watch some football. We lucked out, got into the bar early before the crowds. One of the bar tenders was able to get us set up to watch the game. Definitely recommend the buckets of beer, it was a great deal. Staff was very friendly. They have cocktails, beer, wine and a pretty nice food menu. Parking was down the street. Honestly a cool spot to watch football and get some good deals on drinks.

I accidentally found this place while walking around and I'm so glad i did! I work in the area and was excited to see they have an excellent happy hour. The bartender chick was so nice and she told me about the daily special... Half crab cluster for $10! The crab legs were on point! Thanks to the chef for having this on the menu. Ill definitely be back for the crab cake also next week!

Nice spot. There are three levels, which offer space for a private event, club, and lounge. Visited for brunch. Had chicken and waffles. My friends ordered fish and grits and shrimp and grits, which was very tasty. Kitchen manager and bartender was very attentive and made sure our table had everything we needed. Other staff persons were very nice and professional. Parking is not convenient, but there is a parking deck nearby.
