My family and I recently laid to rest two family members in the span of five months. In those five months, the Director of the establishment Mr. Melvin Smith Sr and Jay have answered every call and email with grace. Their communication is consistent, thorough and honest. Their concern is taking care of your needs while keeping you and your family at peace during a difficult time in your life. Both of my loved ones endured long illnesses that took a toll on their precious bodies and when my family and I viewed their bodies they looked as if they were resting peacefully. My grandmother looked so beautiful and my uncle looked like his true self. My family could not stop talking about how well their bodies looked. Furthermore, they will serve you and your family until both parties are at a resolve with the services selected. Not to mention they are early when picking families up for their scheduled service and transporting the deceased to the arranged services and their final resting places. A true dedication to service and a gem to the Nashville community. Forever grateful to Smith Funeral Directors.

While planning the funeral for my Aunt Beverly lewis, we were told everything was taken care of and included. At the funeral we sat and watched a man parade around the pulpit singing and asking if there was a preacher available. It seemed disorganized and awkward so my mother and I went to find a director. we were told that the preacher was there but left due to the strange man saying he would take over. The man made it clear that he was a co worker and was just there to sing a song not preach. So while letting them know that the man never said that he was a preacher, we were told a preacher was coming. Five minutes later no preacher in sight, they were taking the casket out and closed it. The funeral lasted 18 minutes with no proper structure or any last words. My mom was mourning her sister and they took advantage of that. My auntie did not deserve to be put to rest the way she did.

Thank you so much to everyone associated with Smith Brothers Funeral Directors. I lost my daughter after her only being alive for 29 days.. they treated me and my family so well. They were always compassionate, caring, and ready to cater to any need we had. I really cannot thank you guys enough. Jay personally was amazing, he made me feel like I would be okay. He was very caring. I don’t know how hard it is to describe how you feel after such a loss, but I could not have known a company that was there for you. I will forever appreciate everything you have done, and I am eternally grateful. Thank you sp much for taking care of my family and of course, Lydia Ann Miller. She was everything to me from the start, and you all made me feel like she was at peace. Thank you for everything.

Smith Funeral home has been in my family since Forever ,they handled my my father's burial way back in 1964 , I can go as far back as their dad ( Mr. Richard) my mother would call him to take her places, sort of like Uber / Lyft for a few dollars ,Melvin and his staff always above and beyond,,what a funeral home does,In order to make the passing of a Loved one a Blessed time, allow you to mourn and take time with planning threre services .
