Love it, love it, love it. The service from the lady is soooo good. She is always friendly, helpful, and generally nice. The bread is apparently freshly baked and delivered each day by a local french baker. The crusty baguettes are a must, regardless of what you have in them. They are just devine. It would be nice to have a larger selection of cakes, especially gluten and dairy free ones. They have a nice selection of drinks and food items to buy too. It is a shame there are steps to get in, which means it isn't wheelchair accessible. I'd love to take my husband there but I can't.

Nice little cafe serving hot breakfasts until 11:30, then lunches. Everything is made fresh, both eat in and takeout available. Coffee machine coffee, not filter coffee. The staff are really friendly and are happy to make you whatever you want, provided they have the ingredients. Friendly to those with allergens; in discussing needs, in preparing food, and having alternative milks available for hot drinks.

If a smile and a warm welcome sets you up for the day then look no further! I had the full English and my girlfriend had poached eggs on toast, made to perfection! So tasty, we forgot to take some pics ha ha. The coffee was really nice too. If we weren't visiting, we'd have certainly bought one of the massive breads that were there. They looked great! Thanks for the smiles and making us feel really welcome.

Myself and my partner came across this lovely, corner café this morning. The lady that served us was incredibly hospitable and patient with me as I took forever picking something to eat... But the breakfast myself and my partner had was the delicious breakfast baguette. I had a regular latte and my partner had the decaffeinated coffee and even that delicious. It was a good price for the location that it is in. We had a lovely chat with the lovely lady that served us; whom had impeccable customer service, I wish we got her name but forgot to ask ! As an experienced barista I was extremely disappointed with the coffee I have been served. Over roasted, milk just heated, not steamed - latte with no froth at all. Staff requires customers to wear masks (even though there is no government requirement) while at the same time, they are wearing theirs under their noses. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind putting my mask on, but I would also expect staff to wear them correctly. Long waiting time for food (the cafe wasn't busy). Indeed, food is affordable, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other choice in the area.

Soda bread is now my absolute favorite! This place is faultless. The staff is incredibly lovely, and the food is consistently fantastic. I've enjoyed both dining in and takeout on my two visits. It's the perfect spot for a peaceful solo meal before or after a hectic day. I'll definitely be returning. Plus, I've heard the bread is baked fresh every morning – that's an added bonus!

Every time we visit Birmingham we make a point of visiting this delightful cafe hidden away near the jewelry quarter. We stumbled across this cafe a couple of years ago. Great friendly staff, super fresh food cooked to order. Delightful atmosphere. It must be good as it appears all the locals continually pop in..Jill's birthday today...and they presented her with a fairy cake and lit candle!!! This is a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

Definitely worth a visit. Delicious coffee. We had full breakfasts, which are cooked to order, but in return for your patience you get an excellent, freshly-cooked plate of everything you would want from a cooked breakfast. Staff friendly and welcoming to both locals and first-timers like us.

There was a very long wait for food which when it arrived we had little time to eat due to parking metre restrictions. By which time our coffee had long been drunk. I asked for à top up FOC which was refused. The guy opposite had to leave before his meal asked for a refund. The actually VG. Seems like they were giving priority take away orders Would recommend asking how long will food take to prepare.

Very friendly service, and nice environment. I had breakfast with my son, who had a fish finger butty with tartar sauce. This was a decent portion and he really enjoyed it. I had scrambled eggs, beans and toast (sour dough), great start to my morning. I will make a return visit whenever back in Birmingham. Thanks for being so pleasant.

Came here for a late breakfast on Saturday morning. Walked past many times just never popped in and that was our mistake. What an absolutely wonderful cafe. All the staff are so friendly. Will definitely be back for a sandwich and a latte!

Small cafe, visited for breakfast which was very nice. They have vegan and veggie options as well. Prices were reasonable especially considering the area. They have seats outside to catch the good weather as well as inside. Well worth a visit and I want to go back on a warmer day and sit outside and watch the world go by!

The product doesnt justify the price. A simple egg mayo sandwich, no trimmings, on batch warburtons bread for £5. More mayo then egg. It took ages to make, they werent busy, it was a 30 second job looking at the product. The packaging made it look the part though.

The overpriced food takes ages to come. The bread is beautiful, but is filled with one rashen of bacon? The owner is rude to her staff and openly argues and disrespects the lovely chef there. Tables and chairs are scattered everywhere and is very little room.

5 years young. They must be going something right here at Soda Bread Cafe. Taking a look at the huge board of deli choices, I can see why. Lovely staff. I noticed you can pick up essentials too: eggs, flour, tea, soups and pasta. Soda Bread Cafe has it all.

Lovely cosy cafe to stop at before a workshop. Heartwarming staff and good selection of food and drink here.

We got drenched in the rain and was able to dry off in this very friendly cafe with a nice chicken curry and flaky paratha and hot drinks. The customer service was friendly and excellent.
