ATTACKED BY SECURITY. We visited Soho yesterday around 6pm and as we were leaving approx 7pm we were attacked by the security staff on the door. About 7 doormen started to repeatedly punch and push several members of our party down the stairs as we left. After the commotion, one of our senior members approached a doormen to try and understand what had happened, he was then punched in the face for no apparent reason. One of the doorman (who didn’t get involved) apologised and said that shouldn’t have happened however the rest stood back looking like they were ready for round 2. Several other groups (witnesses) came over with ice and to offer their assistance. All confirmed we had done nothing wrong. After speaking with doormen on the bar opposite and reading quite a few of the below reviews, it seems SOHOs doormen have a reputation of being Aggressive / confrontational for no reason. We have raised this altercation with Merseyside police. All in all we had 4 head injuries and 2 bust lips. Summary: good music and great service from the bar staff. Unfortunately the experience was overshadowed by the overly aggressive bouncers who couldn’t make it as professional boxers and obviously therefore have a lot of built up anger. 1/10

Hi, I haven't been here in about a year. I took my little sister here today after I finished wk for a couple of drinks sitting outside after 6. Shes just moved back to liverpool after 5 years and was very weary after past media on the area. Wed already walked through Mathew street etc. We sat out side and The staff were so lovely!!!! they didn't mind speaking to us for a little while making us laugh. There was a lady who came to our table waiting on called Becky and not sure if she will see this. But she was so nice, and showed what good costumer service is to everyone!!!!. Even when the doormen came on (very cheeky guys) but were lovely. when there were young Girls having trouble with quite older drunk men trying to join them on their table, the door men went straight over. Which was really nice to see. IV seen the reviews and there not very good, we left about 22.20 so can't comment on the night time. But while we were there we had such a lovely night. And converted my sister to wanting to go back there again thanks again XXxx

Weekend in Liverpool with with 18 year old Grandaughter. Visited Soho Bar. If you are into people watching, this is the place to be! R&B mostly played. A little soft House Music. Staff serve you at tables with I pads and take your payment, cash or card, they are all really lovely. Dance floor hidden behind bar on way to toilets. You just can't resist a little jig! Cocktails,lagers,ales and ciders available. All outdoors, it's great to mix with people of differing cultures too. Beware though, it is best to be in twos, you will be asked in the street if you want to buy certain drugs, but they leave you alone once you say no. The young drug runners on mountain bikes all in black with balaclavas reminded me of the film 'County Lines' starring Conrad Khan (a brilliant young actor, who had a part in Peaky Blinders as Tommy Shelby's Son Duke in series 6. But here I was seeing the reality of poverty and young men wanting to care for their parents and siblings. For all of us who have never known true poverty, this area h in mbles you.

Came in on a Wednesday evening looking for somewhere with good music, good vibes and reasonably priced drinks. We’d been recommended this bar by a few locals, so we thought we’d head down. We were not disappointed! The second you turn into concert square, the music is pumping loud and clear, and there’s promo staff handing out cards for free shots when purchasing a drink at the bar. We took a few, grabbed some 2 4 £10 cocktails and got a table. We also decided to get a shisha pipe, which was £15 for roughly an hour. We got the strawberry, mint and mango flavour, which was nice if a little weak. It didn’t produce much vapour, to which we later discovered there was a small leak in the pipe connection, and a lot of the vapour was seeping out through there instead of down into the mouthpiece. Regardless, it was a fun experience and I’d recommend going down there as the music was lively and fun all night long!

The place is really good and drinks tastes nice, we tried three of them and I think that they were worth my money. The stuff was nice but we were waiting so long for someone to take our order and when I was asking them to do this, they were just keep telling me that I have to ask someone else. One staff member keep coming to our table and he was taking my glass and telling "can I take it?" (which he already did?) even if I still had a drink in it. By the way, I was there half of a year ago and they had two sizes of shisha - now they have just one and more expensive, which I didn't like. I was there two times and first one definitely was better, so I am giving 4 stars.

Brilliant place to go and this bar is awwwsum the best place to go in Liverpool the night life is wicked and there is loads to see and do!! The vibe here is modern and trendy with the bar accessible at all times..It gets packed here all nights of the week and people certainly get dressed up to go here...There is hashie pipes to smoke at the tables all flavours available. This bar is certainly buzzin an the place to be seen at with seating and all around and under heated brolies on chilly nights. DEFO worth a visit fa sure with deafening music ta bop to and hav a great ambience to enjoy yr night fa sure!!

I usually have a really good night in soho, downstairs is amazing but the staff upstairs were really rude. I was there with a few friends and i’d went to the toilet, gone to wash my hands to find that the taps weren’t working so i’d walked into the mens to wash my hands to find they weren’t working either, as I was walking out a member of staff told me i’d have to leave and when i explained her that I was just trying to find a working tap she shrugged her shoulders as me and escorted me out.

The venue is great, the music is amazing, drinks decent price. First time in Liverpool and the venue, the night started off really well, my partner and I had an amazing night with no trouble until it ended on a sour note. This was due to an older security employees attitude who's colleague also joined in. The approach of communication was hostile towards my partner and I, who were trying to be intimidating. I'm not impressed with how we were treated which has left us reluctant to return.

Five star, best outside bar in Liverpool. If you are coming into Liverpool then get off Merseyrail at Liverpool Central and head towards Bold Street. This outside bar is located in the courtyard called Concert Square behind Bold Street. Here you can find a large covered seating area with heater lamps and music speakers. Lively at all times, its good just to sit in the afternoon after doing some shopping in the City Centre. They have even got a hookah bar.

Soho is the most racist place I have ever witnessed. Last night at 7:30 me and my husband who where blood sober waiting in a queue to enter just to be told “we are not having any of you lot in here tonight” and “just get out “. Now I haven’t been out in Liverpool in my life as I live in London but I am left horrified at the behaviour and will be submitting a formal complaint. My night was ruined and was embarrassed in front of hundreds of people.

Great location for drinks but security staff are awful! We were on a stag do for my 61 year old father, had spent over £100 with them. Tried to go to their toilets and they wouldn't let us in! Due to us being a stag do! We didn't cause any trouble at all, infact made friends with the bartenders The security team would not let us in and were very rude and removed us from the location! We were able to get in earlier and day before!

One of my friends and I were looking for a club to go to for the evening as newcomers to the city and the lovely Bailey met us outside concert square and directed us to SoHo for the evening. He was so fun and polite - we had a fabulous conversation with him, and such a wonderful night in soho !! Can’t recommend Bailey enough, he was such a gem and he’s an asset to the team ❤️

I was there with me friends on the 31 December celebrating the new year. My God... the surface between the new extension and the old part of the bar is uneven, sloped and slippery. We've seen so many people falling down that it's a miracle no bones were broken! This should be improved and make right as this slope surface is a huge hazard. An extra star for the extension as there is considerably more space what was needed.

I want to give the bouncers/door staff all the appreciation in the world for making me and my sisters and friends feel safe during our time here. They do not hesitate to help when feeling unsafe and don’t question our intentions, straight away acting on our concerns. Thank you so much for keeping the place safe from dangerous men the best you can

Great atmosphere inside, very busy and popular!! Drinks are rather £££ and the bouncers are VERY discriminatory. I was wearing plain black trainers and was refused entry based on this ancient stupid rule. What does it matter what shoes im wearing. I wore the same ones a week previous and was let in. However it is Very popular amongst students and guaranteed to give you tinnitus after leaving :D

Such a beautiful atmosphere. I loved the diversity of people and the super lit party on a Saturday night. The staff were polite to all of the customers, even the drunk ones. The place was really crowded, inside and out, but we all enjoyed ourselves. Even with all of those people, the toilets were very clean.

Despite the lovely environment, nice music and the typical friendly attitude of Liverpool people of bartenders, the bouncers need to be replaced immediately, as a single guy I wasn’t allowed into the club, maybe I understand as most of clubs do so, but not even to USE TOILETS!!!!! I spent a good time sitting outside in bar area but the moment I needed to pee the doormen ruined my night.

Got told to leave because I’d ‘had enough’ even though I was perfectly fine and only had a couple, I got served everywhere else. They hadn’t even seen me at the table to know that I was even drunk so I went to the bar to prove I wasn’t with my boyfriend then they said we both were!! They just wanted to finish but they couldn’t just said that. Disgraceful service.

Great environment and affordable prices. Located in city centre, it is just next to bold street. Weekends is packed and you can expect good music and young people. I would recommend to sit on the terrace, as in winter they provide stoves and you do not get cold while smoking. Best day to party is Saturday although it can be quite busy in the disco area

Staff were really rude especially Jack as did not listen when we told him we did not like a specific drink, we did not drink it and took it away, but still continued to bring us the same drink we said we did not like. We ordered two of the same drink and came out with two completely different consistencies of alcohol Toilets were disgusting and broken

Here now, ordered table service, waited 35 minutes because they "forgot" to bring it out. The people we were with had gone up to the bar and had it straight away. Had to go up the bar to ask for our drinks, no apology anything, asked for a free shot for waiting so long was told sorry not allowed to give free shots.

Went to soho the other weekend sat outside. A waitress named Lydia took my order we waited 35 minutes for our drinks when they came she spilt them and blamed us. So rude and disrespectful. Poor service left a sour taste in my mouth

Always visit this place every time I’m in Liverpool, it gets busy during the evenings and weekends, service can be a bit slow at times but great place to hangout to have shisha and drinks, although you can’t get outside food into the square, you can order from the pub next door and they deliver to your table.

Visited on a Sunday - everywhere else was dead but Soho was packed; everyone having a good time. Great table service, didn't even need to ask, staff just came over. Highly recommended for a no-nonsense, lively few drinks.

Was recommended Soho as a great place to get drinks and sit outside. Wasn't allowed in as there were "Too Many" of us (6 people). Bouncers only let in women and turned away multiple smaller non-rowdy stag groups. Was surprised considering the reputation of Concert Square as a party area.

Came here on a trip to Liverpool and it was a great experience. Some amazing cocktails and probably the best hookah I’ve ever had. It’s great on a nice sunny warm day with its large outdoor seating area. Would highly recommend coming here for drinks and hookah if you are in Liverpool.

Concert Square is an awesome place for a night out. However the Soho Bar itself should be avoided. Very slow service and very poor doormen. They let you consume their overpriced drinks but if you get drunk they won't let you use their toilets? Use one of the other bars in the square.

Great place to stop for a few drinks on a night out, great outdoor seated area with heated lamps, still probably need jacket though. They do shisha too if you're in to that while you sit and drink outside. Cocktails priced as you'd expect, but good quality, staff we're friendly.

In Soho last night on a hen do. Very impressed with the service, especially Emily who was looking after us. In a busy, packed bar she and the other girls never left us waiting for drinks, got a booth sorted for us and we had a fab night. Great venue and music as well.

Elisa was such an incredible server and I can’t comment her enough, she was an incredible member of staff

Nice bar staff, good music, however, disgusting attitude by doormen and manager. Would not allow access to toilet because we were a Stag group of four, me a 61 year old man and his 3 young sons. Evicted for ridiculous so called policies, would never visit again.

Went for Shisha and cocktails. The man that deals with Shisha is very quiet and doesn't give off a friendly vibe. When told him what flavours we wanted he didn't seem happy about it. When Shisha came out it definitely didn't taste of the flavour that we picked.

Brilliant outside bar, again atmosphere is amazing. Drinks and cocktails are really nice. Decor and layout is nice. The staff are friendly however the security staff discriminate against single guys on their own so I would question morally going there again.

Got a Shisha flavour lasted 5 minutes if that when I explain that the flavour had got he continued to argue with me I ask for a refund and was declined totally ruin our hen so wouldn’t recommend

My wife and I are 50+, but we loved the energy of the place. I smoke so to find somewhere warm and dry in November was great. Good prices too. Nice that there was security around to keep everyone safe as well. However they did run out of wine!

It was good inside. But then I went out for some air, when I tried to get back in I struggled as my stamp had washed off my arm so the bouncer was reluctant to let me back in after a bit of back and forth they let me in. Kind of ruined it tbh

Most of the bouncers are arrogant and rude. Was not impressed and did not feel comfortable in here. Some of the bouncers need to be replaced there immediately. One chucked something at me for no reason when he was walking past.

They wouldn't serve my friend because she ordered 3 shots already and they thought it's too much (she was completely sober). They wouldn't serve me either because they thought I'm going to give it to her. Place is a joke.

So well ran staff and security staff are absolutely brilliant

Well we were seated outside and it was 3°c, although they had heating light's but wasn't helpful at all. Shisha flavor's were good though. However we enjoyed the music.

The place in general is good but their shisha is so bad and its very clear shisha staff is not professional.. I don’t recommend smoking there.

We enjoyed this bar when our daughter was at John Moores Uni and still go back occasionally. We are a bit old for it buy enjoy the atmosphere.
