It's almost Sonic food, but with the caveat of a surprise in every order in the form of missing items, 30 minute delays, not having items in stock, and bad customer service. I've been meaning to leave this review for this location as a warning to anyone used to normal Sonic service, menu, reliability, or quality (it's not outstanding but still always pretty good) which I used to think was pretty universal. Very much not the case here. A few notable examples: Car hop brought out the wrong drinks without lids or straws. When asked for the right drinks and lids and straws, the car hop told me "you'll live", and walked away. I understand running low on something, but handling it that way isn't necessary. Missing or wrong items about every other time. Always missing the Sonic mints which isn't a huge deal, but the when every other location includes them, it just feels like they're going out of their way to express disdain. Online orders are usually about 20-25 minutes from time of order, but in 1 case, they just ignored it for almost 20 minutes before telling me they were about to close the grill and didn't want to make the food and if they waited, they could just cancel my order. In another instance, they forgot my order all together even after pushing the button twice. 30 minute delay. Normally I'd just leave but it was for my pregnant wife. Got home and they still screwed it up and I had to go to the Sonic on Coors. Today (and many other times), got there, checked in, waited 15 minutes, and a car hop came out to tell me their ice cream machine wasn't working and they couldn't make the Blasts I ordered. I figured it was just another issue of this location being terrible, but then while backing out to leave, I saw the same car hop carrying two ice cream cones to another car. Maybe they used the last tiny bits of ice cream for those cones for some very deserving kids. But given their track record, they were more likely we're going to dump the cones out in front of the children who spent their last pennies on those cones. I went to the Sonic on Coors, and they are generally more reliable. This comment is generally for Sonic corporate, not this location specifically. Get your app together. Can't even see prices, and can't see availability of any item for any location. TLDR; This Sonic doesn't pay/treat their people enough to care, or specifically creates a culture of being terrible, so just go to the nearest alternative location.

Well, I actually hate spending the regular price for drinks, but I do go for Happy Hour and I'll go for the half price drinks often. I know that the Pandemic has really affected every aspect of the food service industry and to expect service and products to be the way they were pre-pandemic is not realistic. Basically, I have yet to get any order the way I ordered it and not wrong in the sense of putting onions on this burger and not on that burger, but wrong as the drinks not being the ordered flavor or size and food not even being the right item. These food giants should really take more time training their people and modifying their techniques to progress post-pandemic. I know they are probably doing this, but I think that is their corporate office were to advertise how these new trainings and techniques are going to make the customer have a great experience now, that a lot more people would be going there just to even check it out and see what it's about. All in all I've eaten Sonic most of my life. It'd be a pretty cold day in hell for me not to go to Sonic and get something to drink or to eat. I write these reviews to hopefully change things in a manner that I think is going to benefit the business I'm writing about. Sonic is a place today do enjoy going to and I have not been too happy with the way things are there as of lately. Hopefully someone there in the corporate office and be scrolling through one of these things take note of this and say hey this guy might have an idea here let's do that see if we sell two more cheeseburgers today. I'll continue going to Sonic and hopefully they'll work at getting things right.

All of those Sonic TV commercials touting the Sonic Garlic Butter Bacon Burger as the 'new thing' finally got to me! Had to head to the local Sonic & taste that burger for myself. Yep! Burger was true! Bacony, and buttery, and garlicky! It DIDN'T present itself as a work-of-art tho' (like the TV commercials do). Looked hastily put together and 'heavy', maybe bcuz of the cheese & butter/grease & doughy bun..? Tried it & I'm done! Not a fan of garlicky burgers, espec buttery ones! Couldn't tell if there was a 'slice' of cheese on this burger, or some type of cheese 'melt'..? Probably just overcooked! The staggering Nutritional Information on sodium, fat grams, and calories should come as NO surprise to you! Maybe, Sonic should consider exchanging the 'bun' for thin slices of toasted garlic bread..? Taking a bite of all those different flavors & textures, including the bun, proved too much to me. Couldnt appreciate the 'excitement' of the burger. The 'bun', itself, was 'in the way' during the chewing. I'm just sayin'... Wonder how it would taste with some zesty, sliced jalapeno peppers added? Hmmm.. Thanks to "Ana" for the friendly service at the pickup window & for assisting me with 'surprise-paying' for the customers' order BEHIND me in the drive-thru lane!

Placed and order for 2 chili cheese hotdog meals. 1 with fries, 1 with mozzarella sticks, and a cheese burger meal. I waited for over 30 min for my meals. I pushed the button and told them I was still waiting on my meals. Dude said "hold one second". 5 minutes later he tells me "I'll be right out. We started eating our meals in the car. Fries and both hotdogs were cold, not even lukewarm. Didn't get any marinara sauce. One of my drinks was supposed to be an unsweetened iced tea, I got sweetened. The other an ocean water, but got an ocean water slush. So 2/3 of my meal went to waste. The car hop girl didn't apologize for the wait, just handed me the food and went about her business. I was not going to turn around and wait another 30 min plus to get a decent meal replacement. It would probably get a replacement meal with complimentary spit for my inconvenience.

Just went here tonight. Ordered my food which included a cookie dough sonic blast. Apparently they didn't believe me... the boy at the window asked for my receipt. Well... he didn't give me one. So it took 19 minutes of people not paying attention to me in the drive thru to figure out if they were actually going to give me the somic blast. Really? The awkwardly blocked the window whith their body. Treated me like I was lying and then after the ridiculously long wait...handed me a mish mosh of something resembling a cookie dough sonic blast. Although I can see the Reece's pieces in there... when you get to the middle of the ice cream... you see AND taste orange flavor? Are you kidding me? I wonder what else they actually put in there. Not happy. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Nobody is expecting stellar service at a sonic, but this is literally the worst customer service of any sonic I’ve ever been to across the country. It’s a good example of what happens when you let teenagers run your business. Half the time if you pull up and push the button to order, a teenager answers and says abruptly that they are only taking orders through the drive-through (which currently has about 7-10 cars in line). So if you just want a sonic drink or two, you will have to wait in line behind custom food orders etc. If they want to go to a drive-through restaurant style business, they need to have food prepared ahead of time such as McDonald’s, Burger King etc.

If there was a way to give a zero I would. Thought to pick up a snack after a long work day. Arrived and parked in one of the stalls at around 4:56pm and pressed the button. Checked around 5:05pmish to see that the message, "we will be with you soon" was gone from the screen and so pressed the button again. A couple moments later, someone pulled into the stall next to mine and it sounded like they were help within a couple of moments. Pressed the button again. Waited a few moments, time is 5:08, pressed the button again and this time decided to wait a couple of minutes. Decided to leave at 5:11.

This is my favorite sonic on the west side. It’s literally so far from my house but your staff are amazing. Each and everyone have treated me so nicely and been so respectful and they always get my orders right… They are also so nice to my dog. We come in a few times a week and I always order him an ice cream or corndog and if he needs water they give him a small cup of water. It’s the little things they do but it all adds up. I hope management knows how amazing their staff are compared to so many other Sonics.. I appreciate you all & so does Bailey (my dog♥️)

I feel all of the Sonic locations have gone downhill. Service is not great and neither is the food. Long wait times for simple orders. Drinks, at this specific location, are never flavored well. I regret ordering here every single time. The only locations that seem to make my drinks with care and properly (minus forgetting the extra cherries that I pay for! ) are the 4th st and Rio Rancho on Southern.

Wish I could have given zero stars. I received the worst service tonight at this location. My order was completely wrong, I ordered med onion rings, chicken club toaster and a cheeseburger with bacon. What I actually received was an order of mozzarella sticks, a double cheeseburger and a double cheeseburger with bacon. Not even close and too make matters worse the manager on duty said I should have opened all the food items up to check they are correct and they can’t expect to get orders right 100% of the time. Are you kidding me, that’s actually your job to ensure orders are correct.

Ordered 3 piece chicken tender meal and got home and it looked like some one had eaten the edges of the tenders before putting them in the bag. Manager was happy to provide a refund which I never got. Also was provided a credit to go back and get a few order which was refused. Called back and was told that “ unfortunately since it was past the 2 day window I could call the 1800# - will do and called the health department for extra measure!

This location is very stingy when it comes to toppings or add ons. I ordered a Oreo blast with strawberry and when we received it there was no strawberry. I told the worker and he took it back and said the people in the back said they put some. There was none. For some reason I can’t find a decent sonic in this city. I’ve went to this location multiple times and same problem. I’ve even ordered extra of something and it’s always missing or barely even noticeable. It’s very fast service which is nice but now I see why it’s so fast.

The young girl at the window couldn't find my order. Finally came back with my food. I let them know the fries looked old, plus they were cold. She left for awhile, again, and brought new bag of fries (looked in bag). Came home and come to find out they put a few new fries on top of the old ones I gave them. See pic of old looking fries. They are hard and dry too. At least they got my burger right. Smh. I hate coming to the location. 2nd pic is of the fries spread out more to see better.

Came by this location for a quick redbull slush and waited 5 minutes to have my order taken. They had nobody in line at this point. Pulled up to pay and no one came to collect my payment I could see people in there but they chose not to assist me this sonic is ran by a bunch of children and it shows if kristy still owns it’s. It doesn’t surprise me how it’s still being ran no urgency to help people very disappointed with this place

I will never go to Sonic ever again, this place had soggy food that is way over priced for dollar menu quality food. The chicken sandwiches are the size of sliders and are $10. Drinks are flat and watered down, chicken strips are the size of chicken nuggets. Staff are rude, slow as molasses and can’t prepare a meal to save their life!

Order was screwed up which seems to be happening everywhere lately and is a huge disappointment when you're spending money somewhere. Out of straws due to a supposed national straw shortage which is very upsetting since their big advertisement is being the drink stop. Need straws to be a drink stop. With the flavor and topping add ins you can definitely order a wide variety of beverages which is great. Overall food is decent and have a nice variety on their menu.

Unfortunately, tonight, on my birthday of all days, Sonic was disappointing. The staff made us wait so long just to tell us they are not serving ice cream.... this location is usually really well. But the staff tonight at around 7:20pm. was horrible. They needed to be talked to or something. Wish I had gotten names. Hope something gets dun about this, but more than likely won't. I dont know what has happened to this location but it has drastically failed at every chance my family and I have given it. I thought ordering through the App meant you would receive your order quicker as you pre ordered, right? WRONG. Came here 3x in a row. First time, they gave me lemonade with iced tea instead of regular tea. Second time, they gave me a ice cream blast that was almost pure liquid (melted). Third time, I placed order on the app, drove to sonic for pick up and they took over 30 mins to come out, so I just left bc I had to be somewhere else. The times they’ve gotten the order right, the teenagers serving cars are exceptionally rude!

Or visits are usually ice cream and drink related.. cranberry, cherry, and strawberry limemades are our go-to beverages.. ice cream flavor usually depends on our mood. Chocolate chip cookie dough with added strawberry has been my favorite lately.

I had to quit going to this and all Sonic Drive-in's due to very poor food quality and attention to detail. Toast and chicken are typically overcooked to a point of being slightly burned. I don't eat ashes or charcoal, so why would I eat at Sonic? Well, I don't do it anymore. This Sonic, in particular, was terrible every time I went there.

Was a great Sonic, not anymore. Food cold, screen said on there way , 20 minutes later after I pressed the red button and asked what happened to my order. Took a total of 30 minutes to get my order and was cold, what my tip wasn't big enough for anyway to care. No customer service or care anymore, I am done with this place.

Forever Sonic Drive In is my favorite restaurant! I eat everything here: the burgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, tater tots...etc And a slush tastes amazing especially on a hot day! Never disappointed. Oh and by the way you guys need to bring back those plush tater tot toys! Extremely cool to collect! I have over 400!

Usually this is my go to location because it surpasses the others when it comes to speed service and quality of food. But today I just couldn’t believe how burnt my corn dog was. I didn’t even need to bite it to see. Why would you still serve this knowing it was junk charcoal. Please get this person off the line Sonic.

08/22/21 The girls working tonight did a great job in spite of being super busy and and seemingly understaffed. I don't know if their managers will show them this review, BUT girls you were all doing a great job! You are awesome. Please don't let jerks that have never worked in the service industry ever get you down.

Pandemic recovery is def. not happening here! Staff is wore thin and management lacks skills in dealing with the public. This Sonic is in my neighborhood but definitely not neighborly. I give it one star for the one employee currently working hard today.

The service is so slow! I use the app, when it works, and still have to ask for my order 10 minutes after the kiosk shows it was being brought out. Ordered a drink waiting in drive thru for 10 minutes. Short handed? Multi-tasking issues? Manager or owner of this location where are you helping?

Waited for over half hour. Went talked to manager, lost our order. I had to request a refund, tell them again what we ordered. Another 20 minutes for them to find my order. No apology. Bad customer service. Will not go back to this place.. Choose at least another location..

Absolute worst sonic in the city, bar none. They are a block away and I’d rather drive to a different location if we want sonic. Order is wrong, every sing time. Either shorted or made incorrectly. The managers on duty seem to care less and lack basic communicative skills.

I’m done with this Sonic. Past few times I’ve waited in line over 15 minutes and most of the time something with my order is wrong.

Good location, always consistent quality. Also, about a week or two ago I placed an order on the Sonic app. I made an error. Kind of a big one... A guy named Levi went above and beyond to fix MY error when he didn't have to. Great customer service, thanks a lot!

The only thing bad about this sonic the the location. Other than that best sonic in town!! love their cheeseburgers always fresh, they also make their onion rings different than other Sonic’s.

Sonic is not what it used to be. Their burgers are good and their onion rings. Drinks and ice creams are great. My boys like it more than I do. More
