I love that they have multiple options to choose from on just about all the services they offer. Whether it's the choices of food, the many desserts, drinks, shakes, & slushes. Who could forget the options of eating there or just going through the drive-thru if you happen to be in a rush? I love that if you want to stay there and eat you could just pull up to a stall order your food, and they bring it out to you, but if you don't want to stay there to eat and you just want to make sure your order is correct then you could do that without feeling rushed. Whereas if you did this in the drive-thru line you may hesitate to check your order if there were a long line of cars behind you. Another theme I love about Sonic is the 1950s feel it has to the place where the waiters and waitresses take out the food to your vehicle while wearing roller skates (not all of them do this anymore), and occasionally check on you to see if you need anything else such as condiments, napkins, and other things of that nature. There is also the option to park your vehicle and get down to eat at many locations in front of the restaurant, which is also nice if you want some fresh air.

Had a car in front of me who got their order in quick. It came to my turn to put my order in, nothing from the speaker. Waited about 5 minutes, still nothing. Decided to say "hello" to the speaker, nothing. Cars started to line up behind me, still nothing. Another 5 minutes later, cars started beeping, and I decided to pull up to the window. Lady decided to take the order from the car behind me first because they were at the speaker. I decided to ask for a discount because I had been waiting over 10 minutes at this point, and still had to wait for the car behind to get their order in! The manager comes over, tells me no discount, and tells me that "who knows why the speaker didn't work" for me. They still hadn't gotten my order in. Decided to leave because this was way too much time to wait for food! I love Sonic onion rings and go once in a while for them. The staff today, especially the manager, took no responsibility for the situation and still had me wait for others to put orders in first. Ridiculous! Went somewhere else, got food in 10 minutes!

Very pleasant staff, but took over 20 minutes for 2 meals and 1 sandwich. I understand that everything's fresh, but they were super slow, only one car ahead of me in the drive thru. The only other thing was that the lettuce in my son's crispy chicken sandwich was limp and pale, and I ordered a green chile cheeseburger (nothing but cheese,green Chile, meat and bun) meal for my husband and was charged for such but they made it plain, like literally nothing but meat and bun, that wasn't pleasant. Figured it was an off day and will return but hmph.

Is a bit interesting to get into when not coming in from Coors, I was headed north on 57th and had to turn down Quail and the make a u turn at the median, since the parking lot doesn't connect from behind. I drove around for roughly 5 minutes before actually being able to get in line lol

Trying super hard NOT to give negative review because lead ( his shirt @ drive thru indicated) at drive-in thru was really kind. He was super kind. From there - nightmare! Only drive thru open, bunch of handwritten signs during very long wait in long line - think over 40 minutes. Speaker out, so could only order at pay window causing longer wait. Ordered #1 to keep simple after almost hour. Burger patty Luke warm and and super/dry dark. think re- heated several times. Ordered country gravy as dipping sauce for tater tots. Was white runny water with no flavor. Lead @ drive thru was kind, admitted not enough staff to run the place....so JUST CLOSE. don't take our money for sub par food, long waits for over-priced food. Do the right thing, it's my hard earned $$ being wasted. I'd been better off dumpster diving @ McDonald's, prob been warmer food. Again, lead was kind, service and food vile. Just say no to this location .

Don’t bother placing a mobile order for this location. I came here a few days ago and checked in for my mobile order that was set to be ready at 7:50. Around 7:50, the screen told me it was on its way. I decided to be patient because I understand that there were other orders. But come 8:15, my order was still not out (it was just an ice cream, it doesn’t take 20 minutes to make). Well I decided to give this location another try today. I placed my mobile order and set it to be picked up at 8:10. I got here around 8:03 and checked in. At 8:05, “your order is on its way”. I’m sitting here, in my stall writing this review. When I press the call button, a VERY rude lady answers. Gives a half-a** apology and says it will be right out. 5 minutes later, still not out. When it finally comes out, the ice cream is completely melted.

Do not go to this place unless your willing to wait 15-25 minutes in line! Usually this was my favorite place to go to until this service was handled very poorly! I sat in the line and right when I was about to order, the lady taking my order was on her cell phone! I knew she was in her cellphone even as I got to the window. During taking my order, she repeatedly asked what my order was even though I told her four times! I don’t know if it’s just the poor quality you guys call a speaker or just the fact that your employees were socializing and she was too busy to hear anything I was saying.. but I don’t appreciate my order not being taken properly. I waited 15-25 minutes waiting for an order that wasn’t even right! You people need experienced employees and not kids! This place should be shut down!

Went for a quick meal yesterday after work almost everything was perfect the Food and Drinks were especially AMAZING. Just wish they had more workers on ice cream at night time because it can cause a really long line to build up since all the stalls are closed and really slow down the service.. Other than that the BBQ CHICKEN was perfect, drenched in sauce and tangy along with their ICONIC Ocean Waters (ask to add cherry inside)! Will be returning just not in the nighttime that line was a nightmare..

One of the worst Sonic's in Albuquerque. Ordered ahead on the app and then had to wait an additional 20 minutes after I had already placed the order ahead of time like 10-15 minutes, so total time was about 30 minute wait. Then when they came out they forgot one of our meals and a shake. Food was disgusting and tasted old. We couldn't even finish it that's how bad it was. This location is only good for maybe drinks and I'm not even sure about that. It's definitely time to clean that place up! After reading the comments and it seems like they don't care I can imagine how it looks on the inside they probably never clean

Over and over we receive horrible service from this location, and still continued to go back to give them the benefit of the doubt. After today no more! The guy taking my order sounded like he didn't know what he was doing. After waiting for 20 minutes I decided to press the button and find out where my order was. THEY TOOK THE ORDER ON THE WRONG STALL AND COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHO IT BELONGED TO! We got cold food, melted ice cream, watered-down drinks and horrible service! I'm done! This location sucks so much there so slow hardly even busy and still getting my orders messed up , I ordered a large meal of honey bbq popcorn chicken ended up getting charged $23 and they ended up giving me a medium meal , a few days later I went there for some drinks and asked them about this and the lady running cash register asked her manager and the manager never came out to talk to me about my situation very unprofessional I think the district manager needs to have a talk with the manager about there customer service because it was terrible! If i could give them no stars, i would! I ordered and paid ahead of time through the app for 3 drinks. Pulled into the stall, "checked-in" and waited for 25 mins. To only have a employee walk out to ever other car as well as mine in the stalls and relay the message of ," We're only serving through the drive thru." A sign would've been great. But apparently that's too much. Needless to say, the 8 cars in the drive thru line did it for me. Called the 1-800... and got my refund. Try McDonald's a block away. They were way more helpful and more courteous than the people at Sonic.

Waited for like 2 hours for my mobile app order. Stalls are all closed and have been for like a month now. Hands down the worst fast food place in all of Albuquerque. YES I mean WORST FAST FOOD RESTAURANT in Albuquerque. Food was so cold and told them I wanted fresh since it was like tasting out the fridge left overs. I called corporate and they just said they are sorry since they couldn't get better management in this place to get better employees. Everyone of them was rude and didn't even want to give me a refund and said I had to call the mobile app department.

Anytime I go to get food for myself or even while working with Doordash, the wait is ridiculous. I’ve been asked to pull out of drive thru before so they can keep their ticket time down and still waited almost 30 min for my order(to which my burgers were cold and not made how we asked because of allergies). Today I went to pick up a Doordash order which consisted of 6 drinks and after waiting 25 min I watched +/- 10 cars go through drive thru and leave. I dropped the order and am now out money and time because of their incompetence

This location seems to be changing for the better despite them having a really bad track record so far. I'm okay with going there again because the food has gotten better. They've made slight changes to the menu. The green chile burger doesn't come with onions anymore so you have to ask for them but the burgers have been tasting good. The fries still need work. They're still always cold and old. Service has increased so you're not waiting as long. I always park in a stall because the drive thru line is always long.

Worst Sonic I've ever been to in my life. Especially lately the waiting time has been outrageous, we sat there for a literal 46 minutes between ordering and finally asking where the food was. THEN it turned out that our order had been made and had been sitting there for she didn't know how long. We asked for a refund and we got it, and the manager was nice and even remade our order for free - then when I got home I discovered that there was a hair in my burger. We didn't bother going back.

We ordered only two ocean waters and the car in front of us sat at the drive thru window for 18 minutes after we ordered before they even took payment and they still hadn't given that car their order by the time we cut our losses 6 minutes later. If an order item is taking that long (and why should it, even chicken usually only takes 12 minutes top to drop) have them park and bring it out, or come outside and take care of folks further back in line to move things along.

Slush melted when delivered to car but didn't notice until got home. Good cold. Waited forever In parking order space for order to come. Won't be going back for a long time or I will be in drive thru with my order hold up everyone like others because of poor curbside service all good I've ❄️❄️❄️

I always try to give this location another chance, but everytime is horrible!! The fries, tots, & chicken is always stale & tastes like old oil. We always wait in like for 30 minutes or longer & then recieve old food..so obviously they aren't doing their job properly. Idk who is managing this place but they need to fix this problem!! We will never come here again. Don't even waste your time here. This location doesn't even deserve a star.

I love this location! It's not too far from where I live as well as where I'm usually headed. It sits right off the highway. The youngsters who work here are awesome, respectful, and always make an honest effort. Thanks!

We placed a mobile order prior to arriving. We were waiting about 15 minutes. The guy brings an order, it was NOT ours. He goes back in, we waited another 10 minutes. This time the sizes of our tater tots and mozzarella sticks were wrong. The guy takes the smalls back, comes back another 10 minutes later. No apology for the bad service. Absolutely ridiculous. I went there 6/28/23 around 3:40 pm. I asked for a med. chocolate shake no cherry, no whip cream. I noticed that something was at the bottom of my shake when I got to the bottom. It was a cherry. I'm allergic to cherries and they still put a cherry in my shake and tried to hide it in the bottom after I asked for no cherry. I will not go back to this Sonic.

A great place to stop for a snack on a hot day! Service was quick and easy. Staff was amazing even gave me a biscuit for my dog! Would definitely recommend this location over others in the area.
