I recently had my car serviced at South Morang, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite choosing this place due to its local convenience, the service fell short of expectations. While I understand that servicing can take time, I was disappointed to find myself waiting for a staggering three hours without receiving any updates on the progress, despite the fact that they were aware I would be waiting in the onsite waiting room. It would have been greatly appreciated if I had been informed beforehand about the potential wait time, allowing me to plan my schedule accordingly. Comparatively, I've had a better experience elsewhere, even though the other service center is further away. While I had hoped for a positive experience close to home, it seems I might have to prioritize the better service, even if it means a longer drive. Clear communication and timely updates are crucial in customer service, and I hope the site takes this feedback to heart for future improvements.
I bought my Tank 300 petrol ultra today from South Morang motor group (SMMG), while I have no complaints with my Tank 300 yet, but I am very unhappy and disappointed with SMMG’s customer service, especially their cashier/receivables/management team; he through my debit card over the table to the ground when I asked him why he was charging me more than signed contract given to me. Without any valid explanation, he started threating me that either pay or we won't allow you to pick up your car. They have very rude staffs, will take customers for ride and granded, if you are after great wall motors vehicles avoid SMMG. If you do not have other choice , you can trust sale person Joe Kanaty, he was very reasonable, trustworthy and apologetic even for cashier’s bad manners and rude behaviour. It was very insulting and disrespectful dealing with their group except for Joe Kanaty. Unless, I know for sure that it's some individuals attitude and not company's reflection I wouldn't go back again.
I had the first service of my Havel booked for 7.30am, and had to change the time to 2.00pm due to change in my schedule. Contacted their service department the day before the booked service, George said we can do this, no problem and any issues or anyone says no, please use my name. I arrived early, was greeted and they knew who I was. During my visit, I was able to continue to do my own work in both the customers lounge and the dedicated customer work station area. The full service was completed in 1.5 hours, car was tested and washed. I was advised the car was ready and Chris assisted with all of the paperwork, explained everything about the service and payment was completed. I don't often place reviews, but the service to my vehicle, customer service, communication and welcome I received were second to none, no wonder they were busy.
A big thank you to Hamish for his outstanding customer service. Placed a call in regards to buying a near new Eclipse Cross Exceed. He offered to have a couple more bought over from another car yard in their group to save me from travelling around, due to the 3+ hours travel just to get to South Morang. Then when I asked if I could have anything sorted and leave with my new purchased car the same day, he said no problems - it will just take a couple of hours. True to his word, we arrived at the car yard at 11.30, test drove the car I was most interested in, traded in my old car, agreed on a price that we were happy with and was on the road by 3.30pm. Hamish made sure I was happy with everything before I left and that my mobile was connected and working via blue tooth. Thank you again Hamish for making this car purchase so easy.
I received the ultimate customer service from non BMW dealer, Elvis answered my enquiry, i explained what i need and Elvis listened and delivered almost all my request except for final price, we meet half way and deal is closed with Con's approval (sales Manager). it is very easy dealing with Elvis and his fellow colleagues involved in the buying and delivering process except for a minor hiccup, which was very well manage by General Manager. Common sense do exist in this present day. I highly recommend Elvis and his colleagues, if anyone is looking to buy used car from this motoring group. check out used BMW 330i GT, it was my pride and joy for last 5 years of ownership. remember....look for Elvis and the happy team at South Morang Motor Group.
Lawrence was the most unprofessional salesman. Didn’t get back to me - I constantly had to chase him and when following up my evaluation for trade in price I sms him and he sent through a ridiculously low amount and said he didn’t bother getting back to me as he didn’t want to waste my time after I explained to him almost a week earlier how I was in desperate need for a car as my wife was pregnant so he left me high and dry. Not to mention I purchased a new car today and was offered nearly 8k more than he lowballed me on for my trade in car on the first offer in Ballarat offering well above what I even expected. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I do not recommend buying a car from Lawrence and highly recommend Ballart Renault.
After years of servicing at Watson Holden and receiving average customer service I was very surprised at how easy it was to book in a service and a loan car at South Morang Motor Group. Then when I dropped my car off it was a very well organised and efficient service. My car was ready at promised time. Customer service was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that my car had been washed. This never happened at Watson. At Watson I always felt that getting my car serviced was a hassle and an inconvenience to staff. At South Morang I was very surprised at how easy the whole process was. So glad that South Morang has taken over Watson customers. Should have happened years ago.
We are in WA and have just purchased a Kia Carnival from this company, the sales and the company was acting quite normal before we proceeded the payment. After we picked up the car, the fuel tank was empty and the indicator was flashing, and we had to drive it almost 30kms back home, god knows what would happen if it stopped in the middle way. By the contract, the car should come with a full tank fuel. We had contraced the company but our request has been rejected. Just want to share this bad experence to the other people who might face the same situation, and we are really disappointed that it happened from such a big company.
We submitted an enquiry on car sales about a car and had a phone call from Damien within an hour and were able to test drive the car 2 days later. When we arrived for the test drive Damien was amazing at explaing all the features of the car and set us on our way. By the time we came back he had valued our trade in and came back to us with an offer. It took 5 business day to get our new car. Damien & Hamish were amazing to deal with. Even got our car insurance sorted on the day we picked the car up and helped with the car seat. There communication has been amazing and I would 100% come back for our next car. Thanks Damien!
We went in to look at second hand cars, just browsing. As a 64 year old woman I thought I would be fair game for sales people. But Damian Salib walked beside me explained the features of the cars. Arranged for test drives. It was narrowed down to one and wow the help he provided was much appreciated. Signed and deposit paid. I collected the car later in the week. It was presented like a new car. Damian made sure I had all my items moved over to the new car. He is friendly helpful and efficient. Thank you so very much I am very happy.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my LDV D90. I purchased the car in the end of January and have been having trouble with the radio screen. The car has been assessed twice and a new radio was approved on warranty, however it has been 6 months and I have yet to receive any answers. I have emailed the vendor and service department multiple times, but have received no response via email or phone. I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received

The salesmen Hamish there is wonderful, he has heart and passion and he won't force you to make any rush decisions. Although due to personal reason we didn't make a deal in the end. But the experience I had there with him was very comfortable, his service was amazing. I'll definitely go back there again in the future when I'm looking for a new/2nd hand vehicle again. Purchased a car from this dealership in February 2023.Paid extra for an extended warranty with the car for piece of mind. Car has broken down twice, and now they are refusing to even look at the car for another 8 weeks. Seriously think that they are holding out waiting on us to take the car somewhere else and voiding the extended warranty..... Nice as pie during the sale, but post sales service is non existent. AVOID!
I had a good experience buying a second hand car here, with the help of Charles. The few minor issues I found during the test drive were fixed after leaving a deposit, and they've been a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately I hadn't tested the aircon during the test drive, and it was out of gas when I first used it weeks later, but one phone call and it was fixed no issue. Helpful and professional.

Whatever your mechanical ailment might be - nothing is too big or small - they have your back and take the utmost of care to ensure you're taken care of from start to finish. My first time buying a second hand car through a dealership. And it has traumatised me to ever buy another. Constant issues with my car that they do not want to fix. Make it so hard to get in for a service even when I try and book in advance. Make things very difficult overall honestly.
Never ever pick up the phone, never call you back when they say you will, beyond putrid. Got a better chance of getting through to God than to speak to the service department. Is it so hard to hire 1 or 2 more people to man the phones? For God sake mate every effing time
