If you are looking for a place to relax with your partner this is not the place for that. I booked a couple massage for me and my husband to celebrate his birthday but the spa was so disappointing. Separate steam room for men and women. The pool was full of children and families who were staying at the hotel. The bathtub was closed and We literally couldn’t use anything. We had to pay $440 for a couple massage only on top of that, I had to pay for a babysitter to take care of our baby but unfortunately it was a waste of money, time and money effort. I am writing this review here just because as a responsible person, I don’t want anyone to have a similar experience and disappointment especially if u have a special occasion . I also posted a picture of the pool full of families as a proof, but then I had to remove it respecting their privacy although no one’s face is actually visible. The meaning of a spa is to relax not to hear loud noises and children running around. I’ve been to many spas in Toronto and they usually tell you that you have to be extremely quiet around the pool and at any spa area to not bother people who are trying to relax. Also, like most of people I didn’t come for massage only. I came to use other amenities and spend some quality time with my husband. Otherwise I would have used the local massage therapist in my neighborhood who always does an excellent job. When I looked at the pictures I thought it’s luxurious and nice and has a CN tower view, but even that wasn’t visible unless it’s summer time and you are outside in the outdoor area then you can probably see it. Huge disappointment!!

For a long time I had wondered what it feels like to really be pampered. I had already experienced a professional massage, so when I thought "what's next in my pursuit of leisure", getting my first manicure was an easy conclusion. My friend, having much more pampering experience than I, suggested that we go to the Toronto Intercontinental Hotel Spa. Upon entering the main area of the spa, you get a view of the majority of the space, first passing the pool area, behind which you'll be offered light refreshments. There are small tables and chairs for lounging, then off to the side you'll find the manicure section. The main room lets in a refreshing amount of light, and has a large surrounding of windows. The whole thing comes together to make for a very relaxing ambiance that contributes to the whole experience. The package that we purchased includes access to the pool, a manicure, and a pedicure, but sadly I only had time for the manicure. As far as the manicure went, it was a cool experience. I won't begin to pretend to know the terminology for the various tools and products that they used, but I can say that the specialists were fun, welcoming, gentle, and finished by turning my callused man claws into smooth, soft, and presentable hands. The price was definitely higher than your run of the mill mani-pedi spot, but going in, you can see that you're paying a premium for the experience. I can't say that I'd ever go again, but that's only because this is not an activity that I plan on making a habit. All in all, I had swell time!

Went with my bf for a birthday celebration and we had a wonderful time. We were welcomed warmly, asked if we needed a place to store our bags, and provided with locker keys. Each locker had a robe, disposable slippers, and a towel for us to use. Towels were also plentiful by the pool and inside the locker rooms. Jonievy and Regina did an amazing job with our massages. My bf wanted deep tissue and I got a regular massage and they were able to do them at the same time in the same room, which was nice. After the massages, they told us not to leave. Debbie brought in complimentary sparkling wine and a dessert plate for my birthday. Debbie was very helpful, providing us with water and ensuring we were taken care of before and after our massages and also later when we came back to use the pool, hot tub, and steam rooms. All in all, we had an amazing time. All staff were kind, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. Would absolutely recommend and come again!

I had a lovely, relaxing time at this spa celebrating a birthday with my best friend. The staff were highly professional, friendly, and accommodating. After we came out of the hot tub, they offered us fresh robes and slippers before our treatments, which was a great touch and made us feel extra pampered! My friend and I both got facials, and we felt very soothed and refreshed after our treatments. The ambience is also calming with lots of natural light. The facilities include a dining/quiet lounge, eucalyptus steam room, hot tub and a salt water pool. The CN tower is visible from the skylights above the pool. The lounge had tea, fruit infused water, and an assortment of fruit. While the facilities weren't as luxurious as those in 5-star hotels, we felt that all in all, this day spa was excellent for the price point. I will definitely be coming back for more spa days.

My partner had booked us for a facial and pedicure for my birthday as we were staying at the hotel and wanted to try the spa. Lovely staff members, atmosphere was ok. We love our facial and left with our skin feeling so fresh and clean. Pedicure was ok, I would suggest if you have any shellac on don’t book or at least have it removed prior. I mentioned this at the front prior to booking and was told it was fine but to find out they don’t have the proper stuff to remove it and took a longer appointment and which made the rest of the appointment feel rushed and not properly done. Love the ladies and have no complaints of the staff but just a suggestion to have more details on there website or for front staff to be more informative about what services they have.

Visiting Canada to celebrate my birthday and I was gifted a day to spend at the spa (it actually turned out to be everyone’s birthday, which I thought was funny and made this even more memorable) . Everyone was so friendly, especially Ms. Nadine who helped coordinate my services for the day. The faculty was very clean and relaxing. I received my facial from Ms. Luni and my Body Glow Treatment from Ms. Marivic, both ladies did an amazing job. I felt like a brand new woman after my services. I received endless compliments that day, that I was glowing. I was definitely given the 5 start treatment and would recommend this spa to anyone. I wish I lived here because I would frequent more often.

I spent a day at the spa, first getting a massage, and the service was absolutely incredible. Everyone working is so sweet! Mirjana made the entire experience so amazing and the massage was the best I have ever had. She focused on breath work and meditation during the massage, and it created the absolute best experience. I felt so reset and relaxed after the massage, and she made me feel so comfortable while I was waiting to get my nails done. She even brought me snacks, water, and tea afterwards, and she was the absolute best! If you ever have a chance to book a massage here, book one with her, as she is so lovely.

My husband and I had massages here on a Sunday morning and they were incredible. Mine was with Marin who was absolutely amazing. I have migraine headaches, and Marin took great care to avoid my trigger areas. His mannerism, his technique were exceptional - it was actually the best massage I’ve ever had. Ask for Marin! Note - the pool and hot tub area are shared with the guests of the hotel which can be quite loud but the spa does have its own area. The mens and ladies spa change rooms have relaxing eucalyptus steam rooms which we also enjoyed. Special mention to Mimoza - she took incredible care of me!

The Spa at the Intercontinental Hotel was an unexpected and lovely surprise. I booked, last minute, for a Manicure and Pedicure, as I was getting married the following day. I was treated like a queen. I upgraded to the paraffin wax treatment for the Pedicure, and it was well worth it. The photographer on the wedding day, actually took a bunch of photos of just my sparkling toes, on the grass, in my wedding dress. Incredible spa! And the lovely treat at the end, was very sweet of the staff, once they heard that I was getting married. I would not hesitate to rebook!

I couldn't be more satisfied with the service that I received here. I requested a massage with nail care and was absolutely blown away by the service that I received. I was so pleased that I requested a facial service two days later. The staff were absolutely incredible - Mirjana, Luni, Sarah, my masseuse (who's name unfortunately escapes me but he did an excellent job) and Debbie took wonderful care to make this experience extremely enjoyable. They went above and beyond in every prospect. I will absolutely be returning the next time I'm here on business.

Came here for my husbands birthday and the service was outstanding ! The spa attendant Debbie really made our experience special by surprising us with complimentary sparkling wine and dessert. You can order food directly up to the spa, there’s a private dining area next to the pool which is very convenient. It backs out to a lovely outdoor patio with views of the CN tower and downtown. We both had the 50 min RMT massage which was outstanding. Thank you so much Debbie and team for a great birthday celebration !

We had a great experience at the Spa InterContinental. The personnel was very friendly and the services we received (family of 4; we all had different facial treatments) were perfect. We all left glowing. The steam room in the locker room is a great addition to the whole relaxing experience. The only point to improve on would be the cleanliness of the pool & hot tub. I used both, on 2 occasions and the water was clean but the walls of the pool & hot tub could have used a good scrub.

Let me start by saying that the only problem I have with this hotel is that I have nothing to complain about it. From the way you are received when you arrive is nothing but outstanding, the rooms are well kept and clean. A very loud shout out to Fernando at the club lounge. Fernando is one of the best in all the hospitality personnel I've ever come in contact with, he is such a professional gentleman. Thank you for always making our stay memorable

A friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our illuminating facials that had us relaxed and glowing through the remainder of our trip! The staff were wonderful from greeting us upon arrival through our treatments and the sparkling wine that followed and wasn't rushed despite our knowing they would be closing once we left. I've visited hotel spas all over the world and highly recommend the Spa InterContinental Toronto for their top notch service!

Went with hubby for a couples massage, both of us enjoyed our therapist so much that we have rebooked for next month :) We enjoyed our complimentary cheese and fruit platter. Staffs are friendly, robes and slippers were provided. Next time I'll definitely make use of their facility, swimming pool, steam room etc... Thank you for making our day. We are very happy to find this new place that we will come regularly.

The best way to end a hectic week and great way to start the TIFF weekend, Spa Day at my favourite hotel Intercontinental-Toronto Centre. It was amazing!! Excellent service, immaculately clean facilities, pool☑️, sauna☑️, hot tub☑️, steam room☑️, massage☑️☑️, valet parking ☑️, you can purchase day passes to use the facilities, I even saw Idris Alba, well only the poster.... Go check it out!!!

Booked a massage at the spa here, the staff are really nice, friendly and helpful! If you’re hoping for a more relaxing experience and be able to use the pool and hot tub try booking for earlier in the morning, once afternoon hits many hotel guests like families and kids use the facilities and it gets pretty crowded and loud.

I won't recomend this place. The staff is nice and friendly but the service does not worth the money. We bought a package that included, couples massage, pedicure, manicure for both and lunch, the lunch was just one dish per person from the menu and they charge us delivery and tips for the lunch. We paid $618 total.

The Spa at the InterContinental is excellent. My wife and I stayed for the weekend and we enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna very much. We both had a massage, one of the best we've ever had. Clean, contemporary, fancy, great views if you got a room in the higher floors. They were very helpful checking us out die to emergency agter our first night. Expensive though but worth it. Parking is a nightmare so get prepared to pay a fortune ( most parkades are over $30 a day with no and out privileges.

My wife and I recently spent our wedding anniversary at the hotel. We both had excellent massage treatments and when we finished we were pleasantly surprised with this thoughtful gift! The communication with staff here is fantastic and booking of treatments are easy via electronic means.

This spa was one of the best spas I have been to, in and around the U.S. (and I have frequented many). The experience starts as soon as you walk in the door. The facial by Marivic was wonderful. Can't wait to make my next visit! Thanks for making my stay so relaxing.

It was under renovations when we visited so that was a bit disappointing...the food was ordered up from the restaurant for us which we got to enjoy overseeing the downtown views and cn tower in their cozy lounge....super tasty meals....the pool area was a bit cold.

Spent the afternoon at the spa and had thee most incredible Swedish massage followed by a manicure, waxing and a gorgeous facial by Sarah. I was treated like a Queen from the moment I booked until the minute I left. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone!!!

Best massage I’ve had in years! Regina paid great attention to detail, making sure I was comfortable at every step. The essential oils and hot towels made it truly relaxing. Just what I needed to stress after my conference presentation.

Highly recommend! A beautiful and relaxing atmosphere with the most wonderful people. The services and amenities are terrific, and I adore this space. A note to management - provide disposable swim suits or sell them at the spa.

Reply: Pool and hot tub need some serious renovations. I didn't book the spa, I was a guest for the weekend and used the amenities. This was my second attempt in the past few weeks, and disappointed with the valve.

Good prenatal massage but the facilities aren’t as fancy as they should be, didn’t feel that pampered compared to the four seasons.

Lovely massage and facial, the only thing I’d wish for is the spa to be in a more private area than the hotel pool.
